[Adelaide] By all accounts, the destruction began in the gymnasium,

and from there, the fire spread to the whole school

and onto Ewen Avenue.

The next area to be affected was Main Street.

Cars were crushed, burned,

the water main blew.

Power lines came down, and a shower of objects,

debris, maybe even some rocks and boulders,

destroyed just about every structure on the street.

The crater that formed in the center of Main and Ewen Avenue...

nobody quite knows where it came from.

Maybe a sinkhole.

A giant crack seems to have formed on Main

and ran for almost four blocks.

Cars along Carlin Street were damaged...

The fires spread fast--

but the epicenter of the destruction seems to start at Ewen High School

and follow a clear path from the gymnasium

to Carrie White's house.
