-I'm not going home! -Let the games begin.
They've proven they're the best Yeah!
...of Naked and Afraid.
With my bare hands! Whoa!
Now, the toughest survival competition on the planet is back.
Yes!
And more cutthroat than ever.
This time, you either have the skills or you don't.
To put 14 elite survivalists to the ultimate test
in an all-out battle of skill for 45 days
in Africa's Munzwa Valley.
To crown the best of the best.
Yes!
-Ah! -And win $100,000.
This is what I live for! Yeah!
Failure means elimination.
This challenge will weed out the weak.
Who will rise?
-This is $100,000 on the line. ...Who will fall?
Makes me feel like I've been outcast.
This is the best of the best. With only one winner.
And who will be the last one standing?
I came here to win!
Previously on Last One Standing,
a Zone 2 map revealed the location of three
survival tool caches, forcing Jeff and Dan to put
their differences aside for a fishing net.
Kind of fun putting our talents together for once.
Good job, bro.
-Good job. -Good job, guys.
Gary, Fernando, and Dani found a pair of hunting knives.
Good job, brother.
-Good job, man. -Awesome.
And Ky, Patrick, and Darrin
problem solved to uncover a kudu hive.
-Yeah. -A hide.
Darrin continues to work through an injury.
I want my balls to heal.
-The less walking, the better. -Cool.
Though Fernando and Gary lack a fishing asset.
-Catfish dinner! ...I'm not going to lie, I'm jealous.
Dani refused to trade their knives for hooks.
I can't think of any items I need to trade for.
And Gary's play for a cut of the other camp's catfish bounties.
Well, what the are they doing, dude?
You got catfish bubbling right now.
Get your ass over here and throw the net.
Has led to conflict and alienation.
You're wrong, and you know you're wrong.
Gary, you're losing it.
You're losing it, and you're alienating yourself from everybody.
I can't believe these people.
I see a superhighway for animals.
It's tracks on top of tracks on top of tracks.
The most important part about these challenges to me,
like literally the most important part, is to be appreciated.
It's pissing me off that they're not giving credit
where credit's due.
Like, I don't want people bowing at my feet.
I don't want people praising me
and blowing smoke up my ass.
But a little bit of gratitude and appreciation is it.
Egyptian goose right there.
Right now, the other camps, they want to starve me out.
But I still need to get food for my camp.
So now I have to go out and hunt.
And I feel confident using a bow.
If anything, that's what will make it happen.
Man, so close.
- I feel great. I feel great this morning. -I feel great.
We're still the most well-fed team here.
All this food that we've gotten in the past four or five days.
Oh, yeah. Like, I hardly even feel
like I'm on a Naked and Afraid challenge.
Not only do I feel...
full from all the food, but from that amazing entertainment
that we got at Meltdown Pond.
So Gary's behavior is unbelievably childlike
-and not acceptable. -No.
However, he's being starved out, him and Fernando.
-Not by us. -By their... Not by us.
By their vegetarian partner.
That's right. That's right.
They would be on par with our two teams as far as
their abilities to capitalize on all of this giant catfish
around us.
-That's right. -They would.
He's taking his frustration out on not being able to provide themselves food
on us and everybody else who is able to get food.
I just won't put up with his two-year-old tantrums.
I wouldn't put up with it with my kids,
and I'm certainly not putting up with it with him.
All right, well, it's going to be a hot day.
I think we probably need to hydrate.
Hey, I think I see a scroll over our skull.
-Whoa. -Let's check it out.
All camps have been directed to the baobab tree,
where they will learn about the next stage of the challenge.
-So let's head out. -Keep going.
All right.
After yesterday, there's definitely tension
between me and the other camps.
But we have a challenge today.
So this is a time right here I decide that
I'm going to show them.
I'm gonna show everyone.
Today's gonna be a big day.
-It's gonna be a big day, everybody. ...Let's do it.
I have no idea what's gonna happen today,
but I would not be surprised if there was something big.
If it was a group challenge, we're prepared for it.
Oh, I wonder if it's an individual challenge
-or a group challenge. -I don't know.
I'm hoping group.
My balls are hanging in there.
Still a little swollen, still a little tender,
but I'm feeling a lot better.
All right, this looks like it.
-Day 21. -Someting's gotta shakedown today.
Typically, in Naked and Afraid, day 21 is extraction.
So I feel like there could be some extractions today.
Maybe one, maybe two.
All right.
So today, your camp will shoot an arrow through a ring
in order to hoist and butcher a warthog.
-Ooh. -Nice.
Yeah, warthog.
-Yeah. -Bacon.
This challenge is designed to test the competitors
on two of the most critical survival skills.
The first phase will test the ability to land a kill shot
from a distance using a primitive bow.- I hit it.
My arrow straight through the entire body,
through the lungs.
I got her right through the lungs.
For phase one, each camp will race to a target range
where they must shoot an arrow attached
to a 50-pound test fishing line through a ring 25 yards away
to claim one of two warthogs.
Once the first two camps have shot their arrows through rings,
they will next compete to skin and gut a warthog.
-Oh... The first two camps to shoot their arrow through
the ring will move to the final phase of the challenge.
We're going to have to find a tree to hang it so we can skin it.
Which will test their ability to quickly and skillfully process
a kill to maximize the meat harvested.
Don't have long. Let's get some meat off.
For phase two, the camps will use
their fishing line to hoist their warthog before
they must gut and skin the animal to prevent
the meat from spoiling.
The first to complete this task will earn
their processed meat and an additional asset,
a block of salt.
Yeah.
That's a big yeah.
-Dude. -That'll help.
-Dude. -Can you imagine?
-Wow. -That's huge.
The thing out here that's really hard to make sure
that you can get to keep going is salt, electrolytes.
My first thought is licking that block of salt,
but I also know that we can preserve a warthog meat with that.
The second to finish will earn their warthog meat.
-Yes. -Nice.
-Yeah. -Yes.
That's still good.
The last to shoot their arrow through their ring
will earn nothing and face elimination.
-Oh! -Wow.
My heart sinks because that is a tough challenge to have
to shoot at 25 meters through a little ring.
-Oh, my God. -We could definitely lose this thing.
The biggest thing out here is to not go home.
-Your challenge starts now. -Go, go.
I know how to use a bow.
We'll go to Ky, man.
Dude, nailed him.
You just put him in a freaking head shot, dude.
And I know Jeff says he's been bow hunting a lot, as is Trish.
That said, Ky and Darrin are the two most
well-experienced bow hunters out here.
So they are going to be the camp to beat right now.
For the first phase of the challenge,
each camp is provided with a single arrow attached
to a fishing line.
After each shooting attempt, they must wind their line back
to their spool before trying again.
This person needs to be on my left.
Just going to keep my heart rate down.
What's the plan?
-I go shot for shot. Yep. -Yeah.
Let's string it.
And Darrin's going to take first shot.
They're setting it up.
I know that if I'm out of breath
or my heart rate's up when
I'm going to shoot my bow, it's going to affect my aim.
So Darrin and I agree that he can have the first shot.
After that, we were going to go shot for shot.
-Aiming straight out. -Hopefully calmer.
Damn.
Okay.
-Aim it. Directly at it. -At the ring?
I am excited, because so far on this challenge,
-I took the head off a squirrel. ...Look at that squirrel.
Oh, you got him. You got him. You got him. You got him.
-Yeah, Terry, good job. -My first bow kill.
That's so hard. The thing is so tiny.
My aim is on, so it's time for me to go feed
these people out here, because if anybody can do it, it's me.
Oh, my gosh.
-What are the chances of that happening? ...So there.
At least I know my center line's on.
That was a good shot.
My group, we have a strategy right now.
What we're going to do is I'm going to shoot first with the bow.
I have the most experience with the bow,
so that makes sense.
Dan, he's going to shoot second.
He has the second most experience with the bow.
Trish is going to shoot third.
And we're each going to shoot three shots
before we switch to the next person.
-Okay, slow and steady. -Deep breath.
-Deep breath. -Deep breath. Focus.
Count for the wind.
Oh, that was so close.
Good job.
-It's all right. We're going to get this pretty quick. -Yep, you got it.
Breathe.
Oh, so close, dude.
It's fine.
No one else is going to be shooting better than us.
I have a lot of experience bow hunting
and hunting in general.
Yeah!
Oh, yeah.
Get out of there.
That's how we get some food in the bush.
-Yeah, don't matter. -Have a go.
Or do you want another one, seeing as you're dialing in?
-Yeah. -Okay.
-Maybe go with, like, four each. ...Sure.
Feeling a little frustrated. We had a plan going in.
Darrin and I were going to go shot for shot,
but he's feeling pretty good.
He's feeling like any second now he's going to make it
through that target.
Are we out? Okay, we're good.
-Ready? -Yep.
Ready?
What the was that now?
-Yeah, the arrow came off of the string. ...Jeez.
So we lost our arrow.
Is that it down there past the sticks?
See it under that tree?
I'm looking.
See the white? Is that it?
-I didn't see where it went. -All right.
-Take a breath. -Yep.
-Here we go. -Focus.
Bacon. You're shooting for bacon, baby.
Oh. Dang.
-Doing all right. -Yeah, we're doing all right.
-This is snagged. -Breathe.
-Snagged. -Snagged.
I feel like it's taking a year to get this arrow reeled in.
It keeps getting cotton on the leaves and the shrubbery.
And we're definitely losing a little bit of time right now.
Oh, here, got it.
-Got it, got it, got it, got it. ...Nice.
Awesome, brother. Let's get back.
Back in it.
Oh, so close.
I felt sure you had that through then.
-I got my aim now. -I'm shooting to the right just slightly.
-Okay. ...That's three arrows in the same spot.
Yep, you want it.
I'm not precious, you know.
-Okay, ready? -Yep.
I did it.
-Did that go through? -It did.
Okay, now we're hunting.
-We're hunting. -We're hunting.
Yeah!
I love it. We finally get to eat.
Gary, biggest one. Biggest one.
I'm happier than hell.
Holy.
They already got it?
-Hurry up! -Holy.
You got the first arrow through the ring, like, super quickly.
Like, that was a little shocker.
Gary, Dani, and Fernando have secured their warthog
and move on to phase two of the competition.
Grab the rope.
With only one spot remaining.
-That's all right. -Let's focus.
Gary's team got it, dude.
-Gary's team got it. -That's okay.
Let's focus.
Holy.
There's no way.
Like, how did they just get an arrow through the hoop?
So now I'm, like, panicking because I could be in
a camp facing elimination.
-Gary, Gary, biggest one, buddy. -Biggest one.
Gary, Dani, and Fernando have just successfully completed
the first phase of the challenge and earned a Warthog.
Jeff, Dan, and Trish are still competing with Ky,
Darrin, and Patrick for the last remaining Warthog.
Whichever camp fails to shoot an arrow through the ring
will miss out on food and face an elimination challenge tomorrow.
Let's go.
We're eating, dude.
-Dude, great job, Gary. -Great freaking job.
Now we're going for salt.
For the second phase of the challenge,
camps must process their warthog.
Using their fishing line and rope,
they must hoist the carcass from the ring.
In preparation for three stages of processing,
gutting, skinning, and removing hooves,
the first camp to complete all three stages
will win an electrolyte-packed block of salt.
I'll hang this thing up and begin to butcher it.
Number one, put the rope through.
Let's tie it on with the string attached.
Me and Fernando and Dani have the emptiest bellies out here.
-Do you want to tie it up, Dani? ...Yeah, let me do it.
-I'll let you do that. -She knows how to do knots.
And guess what?
We're eating now, and we get to keep fighting
to be the last one standing.
-Me, Dani, and Fernando. -We got it.
-Okay, feed, feed. -I'll feed this.
Nice.
Jeff, you got to get it this time.
Don't think about it.
You got it.
I know it was difficult.
Like, string doesn't unwind properly.
Little gusty winds coming in from the side.
Definitely hard to get an accurate shot off.
But I decided to hand it off to Ky,
because she's got a lot of archery experience, too.
Switch.
Jeff takes three shots, all of them miss.
And now I am next up on the rotation.
But man, the pressure is the biggest part of this.
If you don't get your arrow through this ring,
you not only might not get that warthog,
you might not get that salt, but you might go home.
$100,000 is at stake in this moment.
-You got this. -Come on.
-Yeah, you got this. -You got this.
You got this, man.
-Ooh, it went out weird. -Yeah.
Dan's first shot, it's a dud.
It's total.
And I'm thinking, oh, God, you know?
Keep it up, baby. You got this. Come on.
Oh.
It seemed like it lagged. Is that?
I think he was touching my finger.
My first shot, apparently, Darrin had his thumb on the string,
so the shot goes saggy.
Okay, well, yeah, it felt like it was held up.
Gary, Fernando, and Dani are in phase two of the challenge
and preparing to hoist their warthog.
Now, let's get the stick manufactured,
because then we could tie it up.
So we're looking for a spreader, you know,
to spread the legs apart to work on this warthog,
stick it into the Achilles tendons,
and start stringing that thing up.
This might even work. I don't know.
-Let's try. -I have a backup, too.
Oh, perfect, bro.
A spreader stick is placed through
the Achilles tendons so the weight is evenly distributed
and the carcass can safely be hoisted.
Oh, this is so weird.
What?
Just, yeah.
I'm just going through a lot right now.
-I'm sorry. -I was all excited.
As a vegetarian, I take one look at a warthog,
and I'm already just mentally struggling.
But I can't just stand there.
I have to stay ahead of my emotions
and contribute with my partners.
We got to nail this.
Everything.
Everything's on the line right now.
Not just eating, but leaving this challenge.
The pressure's on.
And I'm watching the other camp.
And they're still winding up their arrows.
So I'm freaking out inside.
But I'm trying to stay calm for Dan.
Come on.
Snag.
Go.
Take a deep breath. Aim small, miss small.
-This is dinner. -This is everything you've dreamed of.
Yes!
I got it!
Did you get it?
- Did you get it? Did you get it? -We're through.
-Yes! -Holy!
The arrow goes through!
Dan just did it, baby!
Yeah, baby!
-It's ours. -Yes.
-I love you, buddy. -Just getting it.
All right, here we go.
Oh my God.
-You got it? -Good job.
I am beyond proud of myself.
So proud of myself that I'm getting emotional
in this moment already.
I'm trying to give it back because there's more
to happen today.
Yes!
Woo!
-Yes! -Yes!
Yes!
My camp is not going to elimination.
My camp is getting this warthog.
Hell yeah.
Oh, we're going to elimination tomorrow, guys.
Yeah.
Ooh, it's rough.
So this was a difficult loss.
Man, I didn't really see this coming.
Darrin and Ky have been practicing with that bow a lot,
so I thought we had a real good shot.
Today we got unlucky. We've been lucky so far.
Tomorrow, one of us is going home.
Obviously, it's going through my mind that
I'm possibly going to go home tomorrow.
Darrin has skill, speed, strength on his side.
Patrick has skills that he doesn't let anybody
know about, strength and speed on his side.
But I don't want to go home.
I'll put my absolute all into the challenge.
So, yeah.
Give me a second.
I'm frustrated.
Oh, I did not see that happening.
As Ky, Darrin, and Patrick return to camp, Jeff,
Trish, and Dan move on to phase two of the challenge.
Okay. I'm going to guide it up.
So now we have to actually get this warthog up in the air,
suspended by a rope.
Ready? Now look.
-That's good, right? -Not too hard?
-Oh. -Oh.
So we get the warthog up.
I do a few whacks on the ankle near the hoof,
and boom, it falls off.
-Lower it. -Lower it?
Yeah, lower it.
-We got to do it again. -We got to get it back up.
And we could tell that the other camp
has got their arrow through.
And now we're in a race for salt.
Trish, we need a long stick about four feet.
-Four feet? ...Something that can hold a warthog.
I got it.
Right now, our teamwork is going flawlessly.
-I'm communicating. -Here's what we need to do.
Here's what I need help with.
And we are operating like we've been a camp for a year.
Get it.
-Go. -Okay, got it.
-Got it. -Okay, Jeff, we're ready?
-We're ready. -Yep.
So we need to get it up and through the ring.
Trish, give it a little bob.
One, two, three.
Baby.
All right, keep going. Keep it going. Feed it through.
All right, we got the rope.
Now, one, two, three.
-Got it. -Keep going.
-It's plenty up in the air. -I got it.
-Let go. -Okay.
-I got it. ...Slowly, so it doesn't break the stick.
Is that enough?
It's off the ground.
-The thing we're fighting for now is the salt... Yep.
-Which would be pretty epic for all three of us, right? ...Yes.
Okay, I got it.
It's all good.
I could start butchering it now while you guys do that.
Gutting an animal in Africa?
You might say I've done this before.
This is a first for me.
I've never quite butchered an animal like this before.
Okay, guys, we got this. Let's get some salt now.
I'll start slitting them right up the gut once Dan moves.
If you slit it right now, I'm going to do this.
Yeah.
-A little more. -Yep.
Yep.
Remember, Gary's team, they have a vegetarian, okay?
-That's right. ...She's probably not going to be helping.
But Fernando's never done this either.
-Yep. -All right.
I'm just looking at the other team and seeing their progress.
It looks like they're moving extremely fast.
Yeah, probably. It's all good.
Heart, liver, lungs.
Oh, my God.
Guts. Give me the...
So now we got to detail skin it.
Nice and easy, Jeff. Nice and easy.
I know Gary's camp has the hunting knives.
They could technically parse through theirs
in lightning speed compared to us.
All we have is some dull broadheads
and some extremely dull kukris.
But Trish and Jeff and myself all know
how to gut and process an animal well.
- All right. Okay, he is gutted. -All right.
Okay, I'm gonna remove the guts out of our way.
Would it help or hurt if I jump in?
You want to start, yeah, trimming these off,
kind of like slice and slice and peel them back.
Like make a line down so we could peel them back.
This leg of the challenge is all about speed.
You need to skin the warthog as quickly
as you possibly can.
So this really couldn't have gone better for my camp
because we have two cutting knives.
It's perfect.
I'm going to cut this.
They're still working hard, so we're still in it.
First place is up for grabs right now, guys.
We are going through this warthog in record time.
We work together so well.
Jeff, just watch your extension of your knife.
I understand.
We've got the communication down.
We've got the drive.
And we've got the skills together.
We've all skinned and gutted and field dressed animals.
We all know exactly what we're doing
and how we need to do it.
Separating the hide from the leg down here.
-This is going to be a big pull. Watch out. -Okay.
One, two, three.
Come on, guys. Almost there.
-Okay, we're still in it. -We're close.
Keep holding it.
Good job, Dani. Keep going.
It's going to be down to the wire.
-Here, I'm going to hold the other leg out. -I got the other leg out.
-Pull on it. You got to pull. -Okay.
- Okay. -We're close. We're getting close.
Come on, boys.
-Let's go. -We're eating.
Close. They're close, but we're close.
We're almost there.
Pull on it. You got to pull.
-Okay. -Okay.
Dani, Gary, and Fernando are neck and neck with Jeff,
Dan, and Trish to complete stage two of the challenge,
skinning the warthog.
Pot's still there with the salt.
Hard to say what's happening over there,
but the salt pot's still there.
We're still in it.
You are one hell of a sport.
-You're good. -Come on.
I'm right next to you.
-Yep. -Got it.
Watch your slip in the knife.
Pull all the skin down, kind of like a tube sock.
Dan and I are finishing ripping the skin off
of this warthog.
-Just rip it off. Rip it off. -There we go.
Yep. Yep. Yeah.
-All right. All right. -All right. Got it. Got it.
All right. Let's hold it.
Final step is cutting off the legs.
I'll hold the hoof.
-You got the hoof? -Yep. I got the hoof.
Okay.
-Start separating the skin. -There you go.
-Come on, Jeff, you got it. -Right through it.
Right through it. Right through it. Here we go.
-Done. -Good?
-Let's run. -Let's go, guys!
Go, go, go, go.
Where am I going?
We did it. We did it.
We did it, guys.
Whoo-hoo! Yes! Yes!
We did it. We did it.
We made it.
Yeah, we did.
-And we did it. -Okay.
-Oh, we're losing. -They're getting the salt.
Okay, they got the salt.
This is huge right now, guys.
This is electrolytes. This is life.
Holy.
We're eating tonight!
-We're eating healthy pork. ...Yeah.
Man, we pulled it off.
It might just look like a salt block to you, but you have no idea.
Being out here sweating 24-7 every single day
and losing those electrolytes.
And this is going to keep us replenished for weeks.
-One question. -What?
-Water. -Is this what you live for?
It is today.- I don't know about that.
-Yes, it is. -Okay, it is.
Okay.- All right, Dan. We're living for this today.
All right?
What we once thought was maybe a group
of difficult personalities, guess what?
We're the team to beat, baby.
We get to salt our pork.
We just salt our pork.
This makes us so much closer to being
the last one standing.
Let's get this back to camp and cook it up.
-Yeah. -Ow!
God dang.
Come here.
-Get on the side, Dani. -Rachel.
Get on the side, Dani.
Dani, we're so proud of you too.
Thank you.
-No, please don't. -I won't.
It would have been nice to get that salt for all of us,
but especially for Dani.
-Oh, we're not going home. -We're not going home.
-Yeah. ...And we get to relax and eat, except you.
You could think because you came in first place
with the salt that you're the winner,
but having a vegetarian in our team.
Nobody won more than me and Fernando.
See, we each get half a hog.
You tell me who won.
Let's get out of here.
We did awesome today.
Yeah, we did.
I'm still just coming down from all of the emotions
I was feeling while participating in this challenge.
It took a lot inside of me to just keep mind over matter
and just completely focus on the task.
There was a lot of really hard moments.
And I hope the guys are happy.
I hope I contributed enough to be
an equal member of the camp.
I'm really happy for you guys that you're going
to have some warthog meat.
All the extra Baobabs are all yours, Dani.
That was unexpected.
Yep.
Frustrated about that exact fact, too.
A lucky shot, obviously.
Today, our team lost for the first time,
which sucks, 'cause one of our group is going to
be gone tomorrow, and the other two get to listen
to everyone else eat warthog for a week.
Ugh.
Well, guys, that sucks, but we all tried hard.
Mm-hmm.
One of us going home tomorrow,
It's not a fun thought.
We've spent a week together thriving.
But after losing this competition,
we're pitted against each other.
To compete against both of these people,
I might have to switch on the monster.
But all that running definitely made my testicles
-start throbbing again. -Oh, really?
Yeah.
Like it's pounding.
It's the most movement you've done in five days.
I'm sure to feel better by elimination tomorrow.
So what's the plan?
Well, we're going to hang the animal here
and have it over the fire.
Let's just save it, because it's going to get
rotten really fast if we don't smoke it.
You guys want to go rinse off in the water, cool down?
I'm bloody.
It'd be nice to rinse off real quick.
Today's challenge was exhausting,
and I really feel tired.
We still have a lot of work to do,
but we have to make sure we replenish ourselves.
Oh, it's going to feel good.
-Great job, guys. -Great job.
We got to get the smoker ready.
And we got to get those organs cooked up too
as soon as possible.
We just got done with this very grueling challenge.
But right now, the work is actually just beginning.
My only concern is that not a single ounce
of this meat spoils.
So while I'm butchering up the hog,
Dan and Trish, they're putting the smoker together.
I had already made with Jeff this grill that in my head
I was thinking we could double as a smoker if we needed.
And that's exactly what we're doing.
So I just wrapped around some rope and hamming
a lot of this meat from it.
And luckily, the smoke and the flames encase it
all a little bit, keep the flies off.
And that's going to keep the meat nice and good for a long time.
-Let's have a barbecue. -Yeah.
Like, maybe we should hang the legs on that mopane branch
-right over the fire. -I agree with you.
-Yeah? -Yeah.
Exactly, yeah. Rambo 1. Yeah.
Yeah, exactly.
I think we're just trying to beat the clock at this point,
because we're losing daylight.
We'll get the big parts hung over the smoke,
-worry about the little parts, and eat. ...Yeah.
It's going to take all three of us all night to process this.
And that's not a bad thing.
That's a good problem to have out here.
And I can guarantee you right now,
predators within miles of here are smelling this meat right now.
And they're going to be coming in.
Tonight, we have to make sure our boma is secure,
because there's leopards, hyenas, and lions.
You're going to have to be sleeping with one eye open tonight.
Okay, let go.
It's all just the height now.
-Look at that. -So higher?
Good job.
We'll be all night slow cooking it,
-cooking it while we have our fire. ...Okay.
We're going to cut off pieces and barbecue them,
but we just want to keep this nice and smoky so we don't get any flies.
Yeah.
-We'll start cooking the organ meat. ...I like it.
Gary and I agree to eat the organs first.
Those go bad the fastest.
Those are the most vitamin-nutrient rich.
This is now my first real food in days and days and days.
I'm going to try this liver really quick
because I'm just super curious.
That tastes like something my childhood,
which at this point, 21 days in, just feels good
-to have something that's familiar. ...Yeah.
-Delicioso. ...You know what we should do?
We should eat from the top down.
So that's where the flies will get to first and leave this.
-I like that. -This is going to be safe.
-I like that. -Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's cutting pieces off of that.
-Dude, that's... ...Oh, that's how you're doing it?
-You're just cutting a piece and roasting on it? ...Yeah, yeah.
Keeping it protected from the smoke?
And the fire's our protection.
All right, it's the evening of day 21,
and we are feasting, baby.
I'm actually going to sacrifice my hide tonight,
and I'm going to wrap it around the smoker,
basically forming like a Native American teepee.
And what that will do is it will suck the smoke
all the way up the smoker, and it's going to preserve
every bit of this meat.
And we're going to make sure that we have meat for days
and days and days.
All right, guys, our first nuggets are done.
Take a nugget. Come on.
-Trish... -Oh, a sign of more to come.
-Thank you. -Cheers.
-Cheers. -Cheers.
Tastes like a win.
Wow.
You know what it needs? Salt.
Can I have a dip of salt?
There's some in this turtle, man.
Salt, that's the difference between surviving
-and civilization, right? -Holy hell, that's good.
-Yeah. -Wow.
This is going to be an all-night meat marathon, baby.
Ooh.
Ow.
Rough night?
-I didn't get much sleep. -My nuts were hurting again.
I thought I was feeling better on our challenge yesterday,
and I mean,
-as soon as we started moving, I was in pain... Oh.
And that could have affected us as a whole team yesterday.
And, like, you know, I feel guilty about that.
-Oh, my God, no. -No, don't.
-Dude, you were, like, spot on on your shots... Yeah.
You always went hard, and you stayed in it to be able
to try and get us through that challenge.
You know, that was my whole goal was to, like,
-rest up so we could crush that challenge. -Win. Yeah.
I'm in this challenge to win it.
But you know, it's the little things that get you out here.
On last season of Last One Standing,
Matt Wright got taken out by a torn calf muscle.
No, just like seized up.
Oh, sweet Jesus.
On my XL challenge, eating some fruit took out
half of the people left on the challenge.
I am really worried about you though.
You've been my partner for 22 days,
and I hate to see you like this.
Would you like me to call the medic?
Yeah.
This is Ky from camp.
We're wondering if we could get a medic back
in here to look at Darrin, please.
It's scary seeing what's going on
with Darrin because it's one of
our most protective places on our bodies
that we're always worried about.
And we have an elimination today.
I can't even imagine what's going on in his head.
I'm just nervous about what's going to happen.
Quite a bit of pain all night since that challenge yesterday.
I found my lump that's supposed to be like down
at the bottom left and it is up at the top right.
Oh, yeah. It hurts.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
Okay.
Not even thinking about my elimination challenge
with these two guys or going home.
-My whole focus is on Darrin. -It looks like it's pretty serious.
I know if you say that you even have an ounce of pain,
it must be excruciating.
Well, they might be able to turn it around or something.
I don't know.
Yeah?
The lead medic arrives at camp and receives an update
on Darrin's condition.
Yeah.
Darrin has been diagnosed with testicular torsion,
a condition that, if left untreated,
can cause permanent damage that could result in
the surgical removal of the testicle.
Hello.
All righty.
Okay, so unfortunately, we've done everything
that we can in the field.
Yep.
Nothing's working.
So unfortunately, we're going to have to med-evac you.
-Love you guys. -I'll see you.
-I'll see you on the other side. ...Yeah.
-Love you, Patrick. -Love you too.
I definitely have some emotion welling up with me right now.
You know, I had no plans leaving here until day 45.
But this is a serious medical condition they're telling me,
and it could be way worse if I tried to push this any longer.
You know, it just goes to show the littlest thing
can take you out of this game, and very unexpectedly.
But this is way harder than I ever thought it would have been.
You can't beat Africa. You can only survive Africa.
Darrin has been medically removed from the challenge,
leaving eight competitors vying to be
the last one standing.
As a result, Ky and Patrick will no longer face
an elimination challenge.
How are you doing right now?
The only way I get through these things
is by not thinking about it.
It's the way I get through not missing food,
not missing people, not missing a bed,
not missing comfort.
Just not think about it, but that's the big one.
Darrin was my last rock out here
that helped me feel solid in myself.
You know, to have him go is...
really, really hard.
I mean, we did look after Darrin for five days,
so we know we can do what we need to do with just two of us.
-Mm-hmm. -Um...
But we need to be tight and solid through this
or else we are not getting through.
Yeah, we gotta stick together through the...
the gloating and the mind games that people
are starting to do now.
I feel like we just got surrounded by a lion pack.
I'm glad that Ky and I are both avoiding elimination.
But losing Darrin, it's hard.
You know, everybody is going to have things
much easier than us.
You know, they have that Warthog,
and they all have three team members.
Well, Darrin would have always said, like,
-do not mourn the fallen. -Yeah.
And if we don't get our act together,
we're just going to be picked off like stray cows.
Our backs are up against the wall.
-And I'm going to come out swinging. -I don't know about you.
All right, it is the morning of day 22,
and we have a Christmas tree in camp.
All of our pieces of meat have turned into
this marvelous jerky.
This smoker worked flawlessly last night.
We are celebrating our victory from yesterday.
And it was well earned, well deserved,
and very well appreciated.
I should name the warthog.
Oh, man.
I like it. Walter.
This morning before I go to bed.
I'm going to have lung, heart.
Want to try some heart? Let's do it.
Walter's heart.
First time eating heart.
-Let's eat some heart together in Africa. ...Cheers.
The heart.
Mmm.
-Hot. -Good.
-That's good. -It is good.
-Yeah. -Really good.
The heart is delicioso.
Walter had a really good heart.
And he gave it to us.
All that feel pretty sealed up there, Jerry?
Yeah, it looks pretty sealed.
You know, I don't see the flies landing on this.
And we got work to do, obviously.
So I'm going to just work on cut it really thin
and get it all on smoke.
I think we were hoping we could just leave it
like this longer, but it's probably smarter
to play it safe and really butcher it up.
I'm feeling kind of listless right now.
So I'm taking my time about it,
but when I have energy, I'll go to town.
You're Gary. You eat anything.
-Yeah, I mean, I... -If that thing goes rancid,
-that's not going to stop you. -No, it won't, actually.
You're probably waiting for it to go rancid before.
That's when it gets its prime, right?
-Yeah. -Oh... I'm trying to avoid the rancid.
I'm way more casual about it.
He's like, no, not rancid enough.
-Dan O. -Hey, buddy.
So I got news.
Darrin went home in an ambulance this morning.
What?
He was getting ready for the elimination challenge.
They were like, it's still rotated.
And they took him out on a stretcher.
Holy cow, dude.
Yeah, because he could hardly walk this morning.
Wow.
Yeah, it was rough.
So no elimination challenge for you guys?
Because this medical tap was an elimination.
Wow.
What a roller coaster, huh?
See you guys.
-See you. -Bye, Patrick.
Darrin's out.
Wow.
Wow.
-I mean, we've kind of seen it coming, but still to hear it... But I'm not surprised.
I'm playing nice, and I'm keeping my cool.
I'm trying not to smile.
Because Darrin was one of the top bushcrafters.
So this is a big, big step closer
to being the last one standing.
Crazy.
-It's a scorcher, huh? -Yeah.
It's got to be 90-something in the shade,
which definitely over 100 degrees in the sun.
It's hot, man.
What's up, neighbors?
-Yo, what's going on? -Hey, Fernando.
What's up, buddy? How's your breakfast?
I'm just scared I'm overeating,
'cause we have so much meat,
like big, huge, white slabs, just ready to cut off and eat.
I'm like, I got to pump the brakes a little bit,
-Yeah. ...because I'm going to make myself sick.
You guys aren't worried about preserving it?
No, no, we are. That's the plan today.
-We're going to start cutting it off. ...You're cutting it off?
We just kind of, you guys did the heavy lifting yesterday.
We're going to do ours today.
-Oh, okay, good. -Because it all cut up.
You guys going to make a smoker, or what are you doing?
Just the priority now is just to cut it into super thin strips.
We're going to have to do...
-some kind of, like, over-the-fire thing. ...Yeah.
But you guys are done, right?
-You guys finished all the hard work yesterday... Yeah, it's all done.
We kind of, like, ate and just, like, charred it,
-and now we have to go back and do the boring part... There you go.
All right, well, I'm going to be doing
a lot of fun stuff today.
All right, guys, take it easy.
All right, you too, bud.
Yeah.
-Yeah. ...I have, like, anxiety for them.
Me too.
They're slicing pieces off as it cooks.
-Cooked pieces off? -Cooked pieces.
And then they're trying to preserve the cooked pieces.
You can't preserve cooked meat.
And so what's going to happen is the first few slices
they cut off of that hog are going to be good.
And they're going to be tricked.
They're going to be like, oh, this is a great way to cook it.
Oh, yeah. Look at that. That looks just like ham.
And then they're going to learn that everything inside
is going to rot because it's under moisture.
It's not getting dried out.
-Yeah. ...We've preserved every piece of this hog.
-We busted our asses. -Every single piece.
All night long. We worked hard.
We put in the work. Now we can rest.
Now we know that we have meat for two weeks.
The two things that are your enemies
when you're trying to preserve meat are heat and moisture.
And what they've done is they've trapped
and entombed the majority of this pig over the fire.
And they've encased heat and moisture inside.
And that's going to rot.
It's going to cause gangrene.
And they're going to lose a lot of their warthog.
Those guys are going to be.
Really hot, hot day.
All right, let's start the butchery.
It's actually my first time ever doing this,
so I know the idea of it just cutting really thin stripsy.
We can't possibly eat this fast enough
before some of it's going to go bad.
And so we're smoking it.
Put it over some heat and let it slowly kind of cure
like a piece of jerky.
They call it biltong here in South Africa.
And it will help keep it from going bad.
You know, the idea is to get all the moisture out of it
and hopefully have it last a long time.
Looks good.
Darrin would be mad at us if we moped around.
He wants to see us in the end.
The only way we're going to do that is by feeding ourselves.
Losing Darrin, I feel like the underdog again.
Three against two?
Jeff and I already dealt with that for two weeks.
-It was rough. -It was a struggle.
Ky and I are going to have to make it through.
All right, I've got my cookery.
Do you want to bring the pot?
And I'll bring my hide and my bow.
Yeah.
We're competing with people with bellies full of pork,
so we need to make sure that we can get a big impala
just to keep up
with the rest of the competitors out here.
So we're moving forward.
There is water buffalo, there is kudu, there's impala,
there's warthog.
They're just all around the area.
This is a hunting paradise for us,
and we are going out there with the bow,
and hopefully we'll come back
with our own damn warthogs.
So I'll see if we can get something bigger than a fish.
Sounds good to me.
Looks like there's water up here. Check this out.
You know, this is perfect because it's like
just a small concentrated area of it.
So when the animals are thirsty in the heat of the day,
they are going to be really focused on this.
Almost like a natural blind in these vines already.
I reckon that's probably the perfect spot for one.
I haven't bow hunted in maybe like 15 years
since I was a little kid, but Ky brings a ton of
special bow hunting knowledge.
Now I'm gaining the knowledge from
some of the best of the best.
I am growing exponentially out here,
and that is making me a big threat
when it comes to this competition.
I got a few more branches cut up over here.
Wow, and we can stand up and shoot in here as well.
Yeah, I think it'll be nice.
Like there was just a green portion of the animal.
Yeah, you can just see it's a little bit off.
I see like a whole channel of just green meat.
-This is the piece that's funky. -Tell me what you think.
Oh.
That's weird, huh?
Some of the stuff that's mildly green
actually tastes better and softer.
That's actually delicious.
Gary didn't seem concerned at all.
I know he's a scavenger by nature.
They call him the hyena.
He's able to eat things that are a little bit past their prime.
He has built up an amazing gut to eat rotten food.
I'm not worried about Gary. He knows what he's doing.
But I do not have that same system.
And now I'm just debating, how much do I eat?
So since it's your bow, do you want to take
the first couple of shots today?
Yeah, let's do, uh, I'll shoot two arrows.
-You shoot two arrows or two animals. ...Yeah.
Two on, two off?
-Yeah. Sounds good. -Sounds good.
That was just going to be a waiting game,
but hopefully we're going to have a meet tonight.
I'm sitting down in the blind, staying still.
Even the slightest bit of movement
can startle these amazing animals.
I'm going to try to shoot the one on the male on the left.
Okay.
Hey, guys.
-What's up? -Hey.
-Hey, what's up? ...We wanted to come see how you're doing.
Yeah, just a chill day, just kind of nice and easy.
How'd your guys' processing go?
-You know, not bad. -You know, my first time.
We went to Gary's camp, and I get a whiff of something.
Something smells like a little off, a little rotten.
Good seeing you, thanks for stopping by.
-Yeah, I smelled it. -Dude, it's bad.
It's so nasty.
It's so bad.
But there's so many flies there, too.
-They're all over that meat. ...So many flies.
That smell is going to draw out every predator out here.
-It made me sick just smelling it. ...Yep.
To be able to smoke meat out here in this environment
and to preserve every piece,
it really is one of the greatest advantages
that you can have over your competition.
Gary and Fernando, they're inexperienced
when it comes to hunting and processing a big game.
You know, we in this camp are not inexperienced,
and we're going to have the advantage for sure.
We're going to have meat two weeks from now.
Oh.
Oh.
Jesus.
I was vomiting last night a bunch.
Felt absolutely awful all night.
This morning felt awful.
Uh, really getting worried.
Walter seems like a smart guy.
Someone eat his brains.
Mm, so creamy.
Um, I'm gonna vomit.
Can you smell when it's, like, going bad?
Oh, yeah.
The meat kind of got a little rotten.
Mm, mm, mm.
Nice, stinky warthog.
-I know Gary's history. -I know Gary...
pretty lax about how he takes care of his meat.
He has an iron stomach.
He can eat rancid meat.
But I do not.
If it's questionable,
Gary'll eat it.
Nyala steak.
Delicious.
It smells like death.
This meat looks like it keeps getting worse and worse.
You can't share what nobody wants.
The ribs are yours.
It's mostly all ribs.
Are you sure?
Yeah, man.
There's no bigger winner here than me.
I'm eating more than half of a hog.
More than half of a warthog.
Nobody out here is getting that.
You see, I have an advantage right now.
I can eat meat that others cannot.
It's dangerous to eat rotten meat.
But you know, it depends on who you are.
The idea of staying in here all day sounds like torture.
With the flies and the meat.
So I'd love to find some, especially if you're not feeling 100%.
Could make you some like, tea with honey.
I had a rough night. I could use a little pick-me-up.
Where'd it go? Oh!
This looks like Walter's eyeball.
The blind right over here.
Yeah, and then right by the warthogs.
Patrick and I are going hunting again today,
back to the same blind.
Hopefully, we can get some food.
Give us a bit more energy for the challenge.
Whenever that happens to be, you never know what tomorrow
is going to bring on Last One Standing.
Animals probably aren't going
to come in here with this wind direction,
but anything in the front, it's going to be good.
-Maybe over there. -Yeah.
All right, well, I'm gonna get settled.
My main concern is the wind.
And we have a prevailing easterly in the mornings
and a westerly in the afternoons.
-But it also swirls. -The slightest whiff of something different,
and they're going to go drink somewhere else.
Yeah, so let's check it out.
So the goal for me right now, just to get my energy back,
get as healthy as possible, because in this competition,
you are always thinking about your next challenge.
Nobody knows what is going to happen next.
I hear some buzzing.
Yeah, it's a good sign.
There's like a tell-tale sign.
-What's that? ...There's like this little wax white tube
that almost looks like it dripped down and hardened.
Wow. Look at... That's a good one.
-I do see it. -You see those wax tubes sticking out?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You're guaranteed to be eating honey in about 20 minutes, guaranteed.
It's called tree-jitsu.
Throw me up that polaski.
Wow, it's nice to have the weight of the axe do the work.
Wow!
There we go.
Where's another one?
Right here. This one.
Thank you, sir.
Now that tastes like... honey.
Maybe you guys can help me.
Yeah, man. What do you need?
Let's get that rope over this.
I got it. Ready?
Yeah.
Awesome.
Let's see if you can snap it.
Cool.
-Yeah! ...I can't wait for you to try the pollen.
And they love to be in, like the naughtiest parts,
the hardest parts of the wood.
They make you work for it.
Really, really impressive to watch Dani and Gary work.
I'm just honored to be part of their operation.
They've been together since Day One,
and they are like a well-oiled machine
when it comes to mopane honey.
I hit some. Fernando's gonna have his first taste.
Here, just take that.
Just eat the whole thing.
Mm.
You're eating candy tonight.
It's hard to explain how delicious honey tastes out here.
Isn't this amazing?
This is like, thousands of calories of honey.
- Are you feeling better - Seriously, feel better.
Honey is like nature's medicine.
I mean, we are really, really getting
a lot of amazing calories, and this has been
just what I needed to kinda get me back in this.
Huge success.
Did you see where that shot went?
The struggle that we've been having is
the consistency with the arrows and the bow.
We kind of had the same struggle
in the archery competition.
And now we're finding out
we're having that same struggle here.
We have to figure out what's wrong with this bow
and why we're both shooting arrows in completely the wrong spots.
We've got to do something out here because even though it's hot,
I'm not sitting on my butt waiting for food to come to me.
We're going to make this happen.
Wow, we had rhinos come through.
Check these out.
They were moving, too.
Wow! Those are some big rhinos.
Wow.
You know, knowing that rhinos are right here,
in this area, walking past our boma,
it makes me a little nervous.
Yeah, it truly does.
Black rhinos, especially, they will charge when they see a human being.
They will try to kill every human they see.
And I may be sleeping with one eye open now.
The black rhino is the greatest threat out here in this location,
in my opinion, and to know that we had one walk by the front door,
yeah.
We're gonna have to be on guard.
Gary.
Something big.
All right. We got... something big,
just ploughing through the bush.
I hear it walking.
There's a big animal coming.
It's a rhino!
It's a black rhino.
It's right outside our shelter, like 10 feet.
Start making noise or it'll break through the boma.
Come on! Get out of here!
Go on! Get! Get out of here!
Get out!
It's a black rhino.
It's right outside our shelter.
Start making noise or it'll break through the boma.
Come on! Get out of here!
Boy, get!
Get out of here!
Get!
-Okay. -I think it's gone.
How do we know that?
Because it moved on. Listen, we don't hear it.
That was close.
A black A black rhino will actually go through
this boma like butter, just like, won't even feel it.
So that's one animal that you don't want to play with out here.
My heart is still pounding out of my chest.
I'm sleeping up here, guys.
So it's day 24, and we are about to go on another hunting expedition.
Hopefully, we have better luck than yesterday.
He's not a pointer.
Messing everything up, I think, hopefully, that will fix it.
For split finger shooting,
the ideal nocking point position
is roughly one fingertip width above the arrow shelf.
I just moved it up a little bit to get it in a better spot.
That nock's much better.
-Sounds good to me. -Yeah.
We've got a good idea of what went wrong with the bow.
I managed to have a bit of a fiddle with that,
and I think I've got the bow tuned in for both of us.
I mean, it is hot today.
The animals are going to be thirsty and they're going to be coming in in droves.
So I think we've got lots of chances.
I think so, too.
We're just over three weeks into this challenge.
We are weak.
We haven't eaten in three days.
-All right. -All right. Let's go hunt.
I don't I don't know what the exact temperature is.
It feels like it's over 130 out here,
like it is probably one of the hottest days we've had.
I think I see.
I think I see some nyalas coming in.
Here he comes.
Getting a big kill is huge, and we're depending on that.
We're taking time away from fishing right now
to try to hunt in this blind.
Yeah.
If we rush out there now, we could panic and then make it run further.
And so we'll just give it a second
and we can just follow the blood trail.
It sounds good.
The best thing to do when you've put an arrow
through an animal is to give it a second.
If we start trying to chase it now, it's panicked,
these things have massive horns.
We could be getting into trouble,
and we also could force it to run further and lose it.
All right. It seems like it's a great hit.
There's a good amount of blood, and I'm confident
that we're going to find that nyala down.
I think that's it in the bushes there!
That is it. You're right.
It didn't get far.
Just be careful. It might still be alive.
Wow.
Kai. We did it.
He's beautiful.
Let me just make sure that he's dead.
Yeah, try touching its eye.
-Yes! -Yeah, my gosh.
Nice job.
We have food!
And a lot of food that's put us right back in the game.
Look at all that meat.
This is, like, twice the size of a warthog.
My goodness. The first thing we've got to do,
is get to this quickly because of the sun.
I know from hunting all the time, that our work has only just begun.
It's probably, like, a couple 100 pounds.
I don't think I could carry that.
My gosh, it's not a one person job that's for sure.
In the heat of the day, we now have to butcher a full male nyala.
We have to get it home.
It's a long way, and I know we have to gut it in the field
to get some of the weight off this animal.
Let's try and get this sucker out without rupturing anything.
We lost the last challenge.
We lost a partner.
But we never lost our drive.
We never gave up.
We kept coming out here.
This is gonna show them that we're still in this game.
And we're not going home.
-The guts are out. -Nice.
-That's going to make it considerably lighter... So lighter.
This is what a survivalist looks like
We're eating meat tonight.
Back in the game.
Oh, yeah.
Hey, Gary.
Y'all coming down to go in the water?
Yeah, It's hot, man.
We're taking a dip.
Yeah, we were talking about the same thing.
These temperatures that we're feeling,
they're flirting with the hottest
temperatures I've ever felt anywhere.
So we're all cooling ourselves in the shade
and cooling ourselves in the lake right now.
Just trying to survive these temperatures.
This part might be a little bit green
because I think I'm eating the ass right now.
Dani doesn't wanna hear me talk about eating the animal's ass.
Well...
delicioso.
Today, I already feel like it's going to be the hottest day out here.
Yeah.
It's smarter to hang around camp and everything.
Gotta get that meat off that animal.
It's got to be like, 120 degrees out right now.
-Yeah. ...That big branch right there.
That'll be good.
Yeah. We've got to get it up as soon as possible.
Because in this heat, it's just going to go off,
and we will have wasted not only the life of an animal
but our chance to have a good feed out here.
-One, two, three. -Yeah.
This is three days we've gone without eating
and just doing all the work for three people with two.
I'm so glad that Ky is my partner out here.
Her knowledge and her drive, second to none.
I'm gonna lift and you pull.
Yep.
-Got it? -Yep.
All right.
It looks so frickin amazing.
The first red meat.
Patrick hasn't butchered a big animal like this before.
So it turns out that the butchering is gonna be my job.
Did you want to start on the fire?
Yeah.
It's best to cut the meat really thinly out here
-because thick chunks are just going to spoil. -The meat can rot quickly,
and these flies are just itching to lay their maggots in our nice fresh meat.
I'm racing the dark.
I'm racing the heat.
I've got to get this meat off this animal
and onto our fire before we lose any of it.
There's no way they can eat that all
I really want a piece.
I think I'll get closer.
Great job, guys.
Thank you.
-No, we're good. -Thank you so much, though.
I've cut up a deer or two in my time.
I'll tell you what, Gary, we'd trade
for those two little skinning knives, you've got.
These knives are not the best for it.
I wish we had a little set of skinning knives.
But it's only on the table until I finish skinning this thing,
because then I won't need them.
Yeah, we're allowed to share.
Vultures are already kinda circling.
Gary is lining up with his bowl at the soup kitchen.
Everyone knows Gary's meat ended up
getting pretty rotten and he had to throw it out.
But there's absolutely no reason for us to share meat right now.
We went three days fending on our own.
Not eating.
While they ate boar meat.
We got to think of ourselves in this competition.
We're a man down.
We're self-sufficient.
Everyone else should be, too.
This is a challenge, not a soup kitchen.
Well, Dani's going in the water, too.
Does that mean she left her items behind on the shore?
Yep, sure did. What are you thinking?
She's the only one that's stolen from anybody this challenge.
Trish and I see Gary and Dani taking a dip in the lake.
And what are they doing with their satchels?
They're leaving them behind on the rocks.
Now, I may forgive, but I never forget.
Danny stole a rope?
Whoa!
I'm just playing by the rules.
I thought you were vegan.
Aren't you guys nice?
Dani stole a rope
from me and my team early on in this challenge.
To this date, she is the only one to be a thief
out here on this Last One Standing.
So she's been on my list since the beginning.
Probably the knives.
If you do it, it instantly puts a target on us.
We've got to keep everything locked tight.
But you do have a point.
She is the only one who's stolen, and she did steal from your team.
If I had a chance to steal some of her stuff, I might just
listen to that devil on my shoulder.
I'm thinking about going over
and checking out Dani's satchel and seeing what's inside.
If we've got a couple of those survival knives in there,
maybe I take these for myself and say, "Thank you, ma'am.
You know, hope the payback tastes sweet."
Do it. Do it!
Do it, Jeff!
Do it!
Do it! I support you.
You are pretty far away from that bag.
I think I'm gonna go for a little swim.
Yeah, I think I'll join you.
Yeah, there he is!
There's Jeffrey.
I knew he was in there somewhere.
He's just been hiding low.
Jeff is just a little puff adder,
waiting to strike, and I love it.
Approaching the water, pretending like I'm gonna take a dip in the lake.
I'm secretly peeking in Dani's bag and I've got a partner in crime right now,
and Trish is distracting them for me out in the water.
There may be knives in the bottom, but I can't tell.
I could go into Danny's bag and grab everything that's in here.
For this competition,
the PSR, or Primitive Survival Rating,
weighs an individual's survival skills
and items collected to determine the likelihood
of becoming the last one standing.
Yes!
In the Bow and Butcher Challenge, -I did it. -Yes.
Dan's camp finished second in the initial phase
Yes, I got it.
...three!
But field-dressed the warthog faster,
securing his camp meat and salt.
We did it, guys!
Showcasing expert processing and smoking skills
increases his PSR from 9.6 to 9.7.
This is a first for me.
I've never quite butchered an animal like this before.
Fernando and his camp failed to properly process
and cure their warthog.
And he suffered the consequences.
As a result, his PSR drops from 8.8 to 8.6.
Patrick lost his chance at claiming a warthog.
Going to elimination tomorrow, guys.
Then lost a camp mate to injury.
This is not looking good.
After days of hunting...
...he brought down the first big game kill in any Last One Standing challenge.
His PSR surges from 8.3 to 8.6.

I've got a partner in crime right now, and Trish is distracting them for me.
And if I want to I could go into Dani's bag and grab everything that's in here.
Do I want to do that for a maybe knife score?
I don't think so.
If I saw the knives sticking out of this bag,
100% I would take them for myself.
I would go trade them for a couple of fishing hooks,
and I'd be that much stronger.
I just can't make my move yet.
It's too early in the challenge.
How does it feel, guys?
-Yeah. ...I guess it wasn't the right moment.
Hell, yeah.
My God, dude, I got something for you.
It sounds like you got a mouthful.
Take a piece.
This one's fine.
Cheers.
Cheers.
I can't even describe how delicious it is
to find they have some red meat out here.
Now we can finally start recovering our strength.
To be honest, I think Patrick and I have
enough food to last us for the rest of this challenge.
This is bloody delicious.
Mm-hmm.
There's so much meat.
Some of it is still on the hide.
-But I'm doing my best with this knife. ...Yeah.
It's like trying to dance ballet in hiking boots.
Right.
-Hey, Gary. -Check it out.
Beautiful.
Yep. She's producing a lot of meat.
Heck, yeah.
Nice work.
Thanks, man. It was a beast.
Gary comes over and he's looking at our nyala
like a vulture licking his lips.
Can I taste a little piece?
I mean, if you don't have anything to trade.
Really, dude?
I mean, we offered you guys a trade and you guys just kinda snubbed your nose at us.
It's not my... I don't know.
I don't get this. They're not my knives.
I mean, everything is a community asset, isn't it?
No. They're not my knives.
Well, they're community property.
He's trying to tell me how it works.
- In my camp -We are tired.
We're like trying to get this done.
No, I was just curious to taste it raw.
Like, I was talking a crumb.
-You sure? ...Tiny Tim is asking for another handout.
This is a competition, not a soup kitchen.
All right. Hey, I'm gonna tell you right now, okay?
-I don't want to hear it right now. ...I'm gonna tell you right now
if this was the other way around?
And you asked me? I would be like, "Hell, yeah.
"Dive in, brother."
Every challenge I've ever done
that's the way my team rolls.
Okay, we heard ya.
You heard me what? You kicking me out of your...
Dude, like you just keep bitching at us
-I don't want to hear. -I'm bitching?
-My God, again. -I'm bitching?
You're kind of a little baby, bro.
You are the baby, dude, you don't get anything for yourself.
-What? ...What meat have you caught yourself?
You guys are like, kind of...
-Did you say, "you guys"? -I'm just standing here processing the meat.
Now you're not going to probably get any meat because you're being a dick.
Obviously, Gary and Patrick have some unfinished business.
I just hate being dragged into it.
I'm happy to share.
But at the end of the day, I have to honor what my camp mate wants,
even if sometimes I don't 100% agree with them.
Dude, you're pissing me off.
So stop, just leave.
I'm with legends of Naked and Afraid,
but I just dropped a 240-pound nyala.
I was the first one to get a big kill on Last One Standing.
That might make Gary second guess his respect towards me.
You can take it with you. I just want you to leave.
No, it's okay.
I just thought I'd ask for a piece of meat, bro.
Yeah, I know. It's all good.
-Okay. -See you, Gary.
All right, buddy.
-This is Last One Standing. -If you don't have a kill
yet in this challenge, maybe you're not the top survivalist.
Maybe it's time for you to go home.
I've never seen nothing that selfish.
All right, Gary.
I have been downplaying myself as the newbie, the rookie.
But you fight me, I'm gonna fight fiercer.
Just go, you were walking.
Why are you stopping?
Wow.
And guess what?
I am the Legend Slayer, and I got to send these legends home.
What a trip.
Just leave.
Okay. Wow.
