Original subtitles

I'm not going home!

Let the games begin.

They've proven they're the best...

...of Naked And Afraid.

With my bare hands!

Now, the toughest survival competition on the planet is back...

Oh, yes!

...and more cutthroat than ever...

This time, you either have the skills or you don't.

...to put 14 elite survivalists to the ultimate test

in an all-out battle of skill

for 45 days in Africa's Munzwa Valley

to crown the best of the best... Yes!

...and with $100,000.

This is what I live for! Yeah!

Failure means elimination.

This challenge will weed out the weak.

Who will rise...

This is $100,000 on the line.

...who will fall...

Makes me feel like such an outcast.

This is the best of the best with only one winner.

...and who will be the last one standing?

I came here to win!

Previously on Last One Standing...

On day 15...

a five-mile trek to a new zone

ended with an elimination challenge.

Your challenge starts now.

The survivalists competed as individuals,

making fire-hardened spears

to skewer a catfish.

Darrin came out on top despite an injury.

I crushed my testicle.

But Bulent fell to the heat...

...and was medically evacuated from the competition.

I feel sick to my stomach right now.

The remaining competitors got to choose survival assets,

based on their order of finish in the challenge...

Look at this. I'll be damned. There is a bow.

...and new camps were randomly selected...

And the lucky winner is...

...replacing Dan with Trish, and his rival, Jeff.

My camp is now the two people that I trust the least out here.

It was bound to happen, man.

-It is already getting late. ...Yeah, it is.

We gotta look for a nice clearing,

something with coverage over our heads.

There's a real good flat ground down there.

-You see that, Dan, to the left. ...I do.

It's like a river bottom.

One of the most grueling days in Naked And Afraid history,

with the migration and the challenge

and finding our new location, building a boma.

Let's get down into that valley.

Yeah, I don't want to lay on these rocks.

-This is awful. ...There's not a lot of shade.

-This is as bad as it gets here. ...Yeah.

Wow, we have a mountain view.

Yeah, we do.

Look at that.

There's not a lot of shade around here, is there?

Not like we had before, huh?

Let's see where we end up.

-We're looking for an oryx skull. ...Yeah.

The map showed it down this area somewhere.

It's been a long day and we've got so much to do.

We have so much fish from the elimination challenge.

Yeah, let's get out of here and cook our catfish.

I'm worried about this place.

It kind of looks like rhino country.

I'm thinking we probably want to find a place that has a tree

we can climb into if a rhino comes.

-Yeah. -Definitely.

Like, rhinos are renowned for wanting to put out fires in the bush,

so they'll actually come towards fire and try and stomp it out.

So I don't I don't think a thorn boma is going to even help with that.

No, definitely not.

Surrounded by jagged red cliffs

that are home to 400-pound leopards,

Zone 2 is in a valley that traps heat

and intensifies already hot African temperatures.

All three camps are located near a pond

teeming with catfish and aggressive crocodiles.

This area is a watering hole for herds of black rhino.

Ill-tempered and unpredictable,

rhinos can reach speeds of up to 34 miles per hour,

and hit with 8,000 pounds of force.

Here it is, sable skull.

-Sable skull. -I see it.

-Ooh. -Yeah.

Oh, you guys, check out the water.

This pond is filled with fish.

-Oh. -Oh, heck yeah!

I'll be damned.

I'm seeing fish jump everywhere.

We haven't seen this at all up until this point in the challenge.

So, now, I'm kind of wishing,

damn, like, I wish we would have had

a fishing asset in our group.

I see a lot of droppings, so there's some activity.

I mean, typically, you wouldn't want to stay this close to water because...

Animals going down right through here.

-This is a game trail. -Yeah.

Right now, we just got to get something up for the night.

Yeah.

-I like it. ...All right, home sweet home.

Without this ring of thorns

as protection from the animals,

we would probably die night one.

And it's because, at night, all the predators come out.

There's also the elephants, the rhinos,

every other animal that's coming down this draw

to this water source.

Basically, we're setting up camp

in the middle of the interstate.

And this ring of thorns is gonna protect us and allow us to do that.

It's important we keep this tree inside our shelter,

because I've seen them firsthand.

These rhinos can pop up out of nowhere,

and we're gonna need an escape route.

Once we get up here, we can climb straight up.

And these black rhinos, they see you,

and they charge, every time.

I get to be at Camp Jeff for a while.

You know, I've already done this once for 11 days.

I'm really not impressed with how you've played the game so far,

-and I don't want to be your friend. ...Okay.

-I want to just, like... -Okay.

...set some boundaries there from the start, okay?

-I appreciate honesty, Dan. -Yeah.

We have history that could sour our entire camp,

that could destroy us and our ability to really accomplish much,

that's not part of an individual challenge.

-Sorry, Dan. -Oh, that worked.

No, that was great.

-Is that what you wanted? -That's what I wanted.

My goals for the next chapter of this competition is...

is to not create any enemies.

I'm gonna befriend Dan.

Um, that's kind of part of my strategy right now.

That's great.

And then if you can come straight back to there, I think that'll be perfect.

He's a great competitor.

I mean, you got to say, me and Dan,

if we can find a way to work together,

him and I can make the final three.

This is actually gonna be a cute little thing.

-Yeah, it is. -That's good.

-Yeah, good. -That is good.

Hey.

-I see a skull. -Yes!

Oh. We made it.

-Looks like this is our new home. ...Yeah.

Look, we have a full border. One, two, three, four...

Like, practically a boma built.

-Yeah. -Time to get busy.

In the last challenge,

I was mentally preparing to accept my fate

of possibly being eliminated.

So it's a wake-up call.

And, for me, it was a blessing to continue this challenge.

Okay, I got it.

Gary, we have a big, big one.

-What do you wanna... -We don't want to fill this hole up.

-I mean, here? -Oh, yeah. Yeah, that's cool.

Gary, he is truly one of the legends out here.

And not only that, Gary has been

on this exact Last One Standing, the previous season.

So he has all kinds of good information about the challenge itself.

Let's just make a wall.

Plug this hole, plug that hole.

So, I have to learn how I can work best with him,

with a small eye looking forward

to maybe the next elimination.

All right, I've satiated my lust for building.

Oh, is that our skull?

That looks like a springbok skull.

-This must be home then. -Yep.

This is probably the biggest tree we've got around us.

We've got some solid branches on it.

Works for me.

All right, let's smash this out.

We've only got a little bit of time till dark.

I am so overjoyed, because it's me and Ky and Patrick.

I really wanted to get Ky back because we've been such a strong team.

She has so much knowledge.

Patrick is such a good asset,

like, that guy has so much endurance.

We are definitely a team with a target on our back and a team to beat.

I think we need to get our poles burning for our fish, so...

-Yeah. -You're all right if I make the fire?

-Yeah, go for it. -All right.

Do you want to start working on clearing,

and I'll start working on dragging?

-Yeah. -Sounds good.

I'm definitely excited to be with Darrin here.

I feel like he's gonna be strong.

Honestly, I feel like he could take this whole competition.

That worries me a little bit,

but, right now, I have two people

that I can really work together with,

and I'm looking forward to a team challenge.

Ooh, is that water?

-Oh, wow, guys! -What?

Just over this hill, is a fishing area teeming with fish.

-Sweet! -Yes!

I knew we picked the right items with the fish hooks.

It turns out, Darrin and I having the fishing assets

is a huge bonus, so we may have hit the jackpot.

This is going to be sweet.

We have to be ready for the fact that

everybody's going to be looking to trade for your guys' hooks.

-This smells so amazing. -Right?

Hmm.

The first decent protein I've had in weeks.

Together, we got a boma built quickly,

we've got firewood collected, we've got our fish cooked,

and I think it's the beginning of a really efficient team out here.

Mm!

How's that for you?

So good.

I'm super excited about tomorrow.

You think it's gonna be caches?

We just had an elimination team shuffle, and we found our home.

I don't think it could be anything else besides caches.

Do we go for food when we've got a a pond full of catfish.

I think everyone's going to go for fishing assets.

-Not necessarily... -Yeah, fishing assets.

-People will go for that. -Yeah.

All right, it is night 15 and I'm here with my new camp mates,

Trish over here and Dan.

Look at that chunk of meat.

Holy hell, dude.

Cutting it into equal thirds.

We are a team.

We're sharing everything equally, and... Who is this?

-Who the hell is talking right now? ...Yeah.

Not a bad way to start off my new camp.

Oh, my God, you guys!

-It's good. -Oh, my God!

Hmm. It's delicious.

After eating this fish, we're gonna need a fishing asset.

Mm. Mm.

Oh, my God!

-Walked right by us. -What?

Wow, a little terrifying.

They could take me out quick.

Could take any of us out in a second.

I hope I don't ever see another one of them again.

Oof.

My testicle might be inverted.

And it's nuts.

Busted nuts, but it's nuts.

And I'm just trying to sleep tonight,

and praying that this thing is better in the morning.

Hopefully, my nut has gone from,

you know, this, back to this.

How is your testicle feeling?

Um...

It hurt all night long, and it really hurts a lot this morning,

and I think it's, like, really swelled up.

-Oh, God. ...Is that your nut, or is that a baseball?

That's my testicle.

There is no way that there is nothing wrong with that testicle.

It is absolutely massive.

The way I jumped into that water,

like, I don't know if I freaking crushed it between my legs.

Like, I hope it's just bruised.

This morning, I woke up and it swelled up.

I was hoping it would go away, and it has just gotten worse.

A little worried now.

You don't want to mess with stuff like that.

Yeah, I think a medic should look at it.

I didn't sleep a minute last night, because I was in such pain.

Medic. Medic. Medic.

This is Ky. I think we might have a medical situation. Over.

This thing is enormous.

Is that your nut, or is that a baseball?

-That's my testicle. -Oh, yeah, it's bad.

Darrin needs to talk to the medic, because, honestly, that that's one part

that no man wants to lose, not even for 100 grand.

If you offered me 100 grand to chop off one,

I'd tell you no, I'd tell you no in a heartbeat.

Ow. Ow.

Yeah.

Ow.

-And it's normally about this big. ...Yeah.

Yeah.

After examining Darrin,

the medic concludes that his injury

could either be a bruise that will heal over time,

or an infection

that would require medical attention in a hospital,

and he would be removed from the challenge.

For now, the medic treats him with anti-inflammatories...

Thank you.

...and will continue to monitor his condition closely.

Don't let my lack of tears

and me not showing severe pain

underestimate the fact that this is serious,

but, at the same time, it's pretty damn funny.

We've got mail.

I think there's something in the skull.

I guess we should maybe check that out.

Check it out.

Ooh, it's heavy. It's big.

"Congratulations and welcome to your new camp."

"You are now one step closer to becoming..."

"...the last one standing."

The competitors have received a new map

containing the location of three new survival items

cached in the northern part of Zone 2.

One survival tool to the west,

one hunting tool to the north,

and one fishing asset to the east.

It also indicates the possibility of fruit

under a baobab tree in the center of the region.

"Search the acacia trees to retrieve a fishing tool."

Ooh, okay, that's gonna be sharp.

"Leave no stone unturned to earn a survival item."

-There's something underneath a rock. ...Yeah.

"Explore the boulders to earn a hunting tool."

So it might not even be a bow.

-Yeah. Could be anything. -Yeah.

Between you and I, we have by far the most experience

-finding caches out here than anybody. -Yeah. Yeah.

Yeah, we do. Fishing cache.

I bet that's going to be in a gully.

Well, this is what we want.

There's a fishing asset on this map,

and we can beat everyone to it.

In fact, I would bet on it.

I would bet on us right now.

We've got the navigation.

-Six... -Seven...

-560 steps. -That's exactly what I had.

The same distance from here to the baobab as the baobab to the fishing.

Easy. It's basically straight. Exactly north.

Straight north is the fishing asset.

I would go north for that fishing asset.

I'm probably going to try for the survival tool,

because I can flick rocks over.

-Yeah. ...If you two want to do these...

I feel like, of these things, of these options,

I feel like fishing, because of this pond.

-But what do you guys think? -Yeah.

And then I would think a hunting tool.

I think we should navigate to the baobab,

and get the fruit under that tree.

Those fruits will be there on the way back.

I don't I don't want to risk it.

The guys want to skip over the baobab tree

and go directly to the other tools.

But, for me, personally, I don't want to risk passing that by.

That might be my only food source in this location.

No one cares about those fruits.

Believe me, not one person cares about those.

Dani sees a baobab tree on the map,

She says, "I want the baobab fruit,"

but that's not the caches.

For my survival, I care if there's fruit or something edible.

This baobab has fruit under it. Looks like...

-Oh. That is interesting. -Yeah.

-We haven't seen that on any other map. -No.

That's like an unofficial food cache.

-It is an unofficial food cache. -It is actually.

-Trish? -Yeah.

If you want... -Hoard every damn fruit... -I will.

I will go straight to the baobab, fill my bag a bit.

If it's important to you, we should do it.

And then I'll go fast out to the fishing asset area.

And then we'll go straight to the hunting asset.

Yeah. This is how the map is sitting,

in that way, where that big rock mountain is,

is where all these are hidden.

I think I'm gonna wear my hide.

We know there's acacias, so that's a smart idea.

Yeah, I'm gonna bring my hide, too.

Cool.

Let's do it.

-Let's go. -Let's go for it.

Come on.

There's a fishing cache on this map.

That's what we're going for.

-Start pacing. -Okay.

Both of us are good at navigation.

Both of us have collected more caches

on Last One Standing than anyone out here.

-We're going, like, 2,000 feet that way. ...Yeah.

-Let's start heading there. -Yeah.

Okay.

I'm on doctor's orders

to stay in camp and rest my balls.

But I want to be strong for this challenge,

so I don't let my team down.

Ow! My balls.

Don't run if you can't.

Gary, Jeff and Dan head northeast

toward the fishing asset.

Ky, Darrin and Patrick head northwest

toward the survival asset,

while Dani and Fernando head due north to the baobab tree

with Trish just behind them.

There's a baobab tree.

There's fruit.

Baobab fruit.

This is a lot of food for me.

I don't wanna spend too much time here.

Yeah, that side's clear. I got all the fruit on this side.

We got a ton.

-Two bags full of baobab fruit. ...All right.

-Thanks for helping, Fernando. -No, of course.

I'm looking for a fishing asset.

In the foothills of the red cliffs,

are hundreds of razor sharp, thorny acacia trees.

High on top of one of those trees, rests a cast net.

A tool that can secure large quantities of fish

when used correctly.

The survivalists will have to use their navigation skills to locate it,

then retrieve the item from the barbed branches of the tree.

-About 200 steps. -Yep.

I see a baobab up there, a big one.

Jeff and I run north to the baobab tree as a landmark

and turn a little bit northeast.

-One hundred steps. -Yep.

And navigate and pace to get to the acacia tree with this fishing asset.

Running straight for the mountaintop.

It's going to be at the base of that cliff somewhere,

We're heading towards the base of this mountain,

to the area on the map that showed the fishing asset.

Yeah.

-Can you see anybody? -I saw Dan up here.

What do you think, Jeff?

It's probably... It's up there I think.

...base is exactly this way.

Okay. I agree.

There's gonna be up high in a tree, probably wrapped in burlap.

So, I'm gonna break off there, if that's cool with you.

Yeah, that sounds good.

I see people down there.

-Is that Gary? ...That's Fernando, I think.

I'm looking for this fishing asset.

Here's an acacia tree.

Gary took the map, so I'll be going from memory.

I'm a wildland firefighter, so I know how to read topography.

And I definitely know how to memorize maps in stressful situations.

I know it's going to be in an acacia thorn tree.

The asset could be that big, or it could be that big.

I have no idea what I'm looking for.

Acacia.

Looking around.

It's just hard, and there's just so many acacia thorn trees everywhere,

I don't want to walk right past it.

All right, not there.

Look there, Jeff.

Hurry, Jeff.

Holy cow, there it is.

-You okay? -Yep.

Yes. Great job, Dan.

Yes!

I'm beside myself happy right now.

I'm not happy that there's a cast net

laying on top of one of the thorniest trees in the world,

and now I have to get it down, naked.

It's like some sort of sick joke.

This is literally the worst possible place

you could ever stick a fishing net.

This acacia tree, this is the equivalent to,

uh, jumping in a swimming pool of hypodermic needles.

But if we're able to get this net in our possession,

this is going to feed us.

I don't know how this is going to work.

Just don't get your on one of these.

This is an impossible task.

We're working together, trying to undo this cast net

that's just caught up in all these thorns as fast as we possibly can.

I don't know how this is gonna work.

We got here way before anyone

because we knew how to navigate.

We just did it so efficiently.

And those are the kind of moments I live for.

I should say that with Jeff around.

Jeff, if you can help pull down a branch,

-I could climb on top of this tree. -You think?

Do it again.

-If you boost me up, I can get it. -Yeah?

Thankfully, we brought our hides with us,

which are a protective barrier against the acacia thorns.

Dan and I have this idea, "Hey, let's throw our hides

up on top of the tree..."

And Dan's a smaller guy.

I'm gonna lift Dan up in the air,

lift him up on top of the acacia tree,

and maybe he can just unwind this fishing net.

-Keep holding. -Yeah, I got you.

-So here I am. -I got Dan's legs in my arms,

I got his ass in my face,

I'm holding him up in the air like we're a couple of damn cheerleaders.

-This is good, huh? -Yeah, this is fantastic, bro.

How did you get calves like this?

This is literally the last place in the world

that I pictured Dan and I on this challenge.

I think we need to get the hold of the top from that side somehow.

-Yeah. -Tip the whole thing over.

Let's try to get some sticks or something, okay?

I'm like, "What life choices did I make to get me to this moment?"

Like, "What the hell am I doing here?"

It's on basically one branch, almost.

Okay, I'm gonna start the lift.

The edges are...

Even though Jeff is not a friend of mine,

I'm loving this whole situation.

He thinks of things analytically,

and comes up with creative ways to solve problems.

Oh, man.

They got the fishing asset.

I missed the fishing cache.

So, now, I quickly switch gears.

I'm gonna go looking for the survival asset.

I found the survival item area,

and Dani was gonna go ahead and find Gary

and work with him on the hunting asset.

All right, I'm just gonna use Jeff to navigate.

Being a trained wilderness EMT,

I got really good at reading maps.

The hunting tool that Gary wants,

is 500 feet from where Jeff is standing.

I can use that and point that on my map,

and be able to tell exactly how many feet or meters I need to walk

in order to find the hunting asset.

So it's 500 feet, so it's gonna be more this direction.

So we're this way...

-from them. -Yes.

The vast majority of this net

is supported by this one branch.

If I can bring this branch down

and lower to the ground,

it will help.

-Good job. -Yep.

And kind of fun, putting our talents together for once, huh?

It's interesting.

We've always been going head-to-head.

Dan and I, we understand how to compete out here,

but we also don't give up.

And now, we're using each other's strengths

to come together in this way?

I mean, my God,

the opportunities might be endless here.

-We're like Jordan and Pippen. -We're the team to beat.

Okay, nice.

Okay. I got off a pretty good section here. Yes.

This is definitely worth it.

Dude, this is a great fishing net, dude.

Honestly, this is exactly the fishing net I would use for catfish.

It's weighted on the bottom.

-Hey, Jeff? -Yeah.

-See if it's worth pulling these branches out. -Okay.

Oh, we're so close to being able to grab it.

-Okay, I'm gonna pull a little bit more, okay? -Yeah.

Stop, stop, stop. Stop, stop.

-Sorry, this line's caught up. -Okay.

This was meant for whoever gets this cannot go get anything else.

Yeah, it is.

While Jeff and Dan try to secure the fishing asset,

Gary and Dani search for the hunting tool.

Fernando is looking for the survival asset.

But Ky, Darrin, and Patrick are headed to the same area.

Trish is circling the baobab tree.

I'll get to the baobab

and collect as many of these baobab fruits as possible.

Not much left.

I think I got just about every one I could find.

I have a bag of baobab fruit.

So, absolutely a win, and, uh, I feel good about it,

but I also hear voices in the distance,

so I'm going to go see if I can't locate them.

Wow.

We are high up here.

Gary, he is way up at cliffside.

This looks like leopard territory.

I'm seeing, like, a leopard den.

Something definitely lives in there.

I definitely feel like

we are way too high of an elevation.

Gary, what do you think we're looking for? What kind of hunting tool?

Something wrapped in a hide or burlap.

Do you think it's up this high?

Uh, possibly. Yeah. But I really don't know.

-Can I see the map? -Yeah.

Gary, we're too high.

-Too high? -Yeah.

How can you tell?

The topographic lines.

We need to be between lines five and six from the peak.

-Five and six down there? -Yeah.

I'm pretty disappointed that Gary is very lost.

I notice we're at least, like, 1,000 feet from where we should be.

-I'm going to go east here and descend. -Yeah.

I'm feeling a little responsible.

That's a sinking feeling,

letting your teammates down and getting them lost.

Which way did you go?

-Gary? -Right here.

Let's just descend.

It's possible that another team has

already found the hunting tool cache,

and we may be looking for nothing.

Hey, Ky, we need to keep going left.

Our team, we're way back behind the other team.

Every time I take a step,

my leg hits my swollen testicle.

It hurts.

I have a great team, but speed is not one of their skill sets.

We've lost so much time.

I navigate mountains ten months a year.

If I know anything, I know mountains,

I know maps, I know topography.

I'm gonna search these boulders over here.

Right now, I'm trying to find the survival cache.

I think I'm in the general area.

I see Patrick. What's going on over here?

Darrin! Ky!

I found the survival asset.

There's a hide under a giant boulder.

You need some help there, buddy?

Darrin! Ky!

Darrin! Ky!

Patrick's found the survival asset.

So now I've missed out on two caches.

So, now, I'm racking my brain, trying to think,

"Okay, what did the map say about the hunting asset?"

It says, "Explore the boulders to earn a hunting tool."

Oh, man, this rock is huge.

This thing is heavy. There's no way I can do this by myself.

So, right now,

I need to get this hide out from underneath this rock.

This rock is so massive.

I can only use this lever.

I need more hands.

So I need Darrin and Ky to get down here right now.

I decided to start working on it,

and I find a big piece of iron wood,

and I start using it as a pry bar.

It's doing nothing.

Now I'm in trouble.

Darrin and Ky!

Coming!

Someone's yelling.

Maybe they found the survival item.

Patrick abandons his attempt.

He needs his camp mates,

who are not really close by at this point,

and I go in for it.

This rock, it's huge.

We have to lift off with some kind of leverage.

So I mess around, I start moving rocks around.

Just kind of feeling it out.

And I'm like, "Mm, this is not gonna happen."

But I'm not going to leave this spot.

I'm going to put the pressure on. This is a competition.

And I'm hoping maybe my camp is done

finding whatever cache that they got,

and they make their way this way in time,

and then we can work together.

This has to be a big enough rock.

I'm looking for the hunting asset.

I know I'm in the area of this cache.

I'm looking everywhere, looking in crevices and cracks,

and in openings.

Holy crap!

Oh, I found something.

That's where I find the actual hunting asset

kind of in this cave beneath a massive boulder.

Yes.

Oh, my God.

Two really nice precision hunting knives,

really useful in survival.

Second knife, really nice.

I didn't have a map with me, so I was just kind of going in the blind.

Overshot the fishing asset to the survival asset,

and, uh, after a pretty long search,

found this.

So happy we got something.

I wish I had another camp mate here, but I don't.

So I'm gonna do the best I can solo.

The hide, this is going to be important for us.

This could be rain cover, this could be multiple things.

And to keep this asset for ourselves,

is gonna be huge.

-This is super heavy. -Okay.

I got a piece of iron wood. What we're gonna need to do

is use this as a lever with a fulcrum.

Then we're gonna have to flip the rocks together.

It is super heavy.

But the thing with this,

is this requires multiple partners to be able to do.

Trish, all she's doing is burning herself out.

This boulder is at least 500 pounds.

And my camp mates,

I'm not really confident that they're on their way yet,

because I don't see them.

That's okay.

I will wait again. Wait for my moment.

The thing, guys, is this is pinned under this edge,

so you're gonna have to lift it from here.

I'm gonna sit my happy little ass right here on this rock,

and watch them squirm.

All right, grab that.

-We'll use that as a fulcrum right here. ...This?

-Yeah. -All right. Here.

Thank you.

We can also stick rocks under as chocks.

Yeah.

Using iron wood as a lever

and a rock as a fulcrum placed near the boulder

creates a mechanical advantage

that allows a small amount of effort

to move a large load.

The boulder lies in a depression,

so the survivalists will have to lift it up with the lever

and put smaller rocks or chocks beneath the boulder,

then pry it away from the hide.

This concept has been used in past challenges

to move heavy objects.

One... Got it floating.

And slide something under.

-Get a rock under this corner over here. ...Okay.

-Okay. -One, two, three.

Okay.

Do you need more chocks?

-Okay, put it down. -What do you need? Talk to me.

-We'll definitely need more chocks. ...Okay.

Can you put it under this when we lift?

Where would you like it?

-Uh, under that. -Yeah?

Yeah.

- All right. Sliding forward? -Yeah.

-Good job. That was a great job. -Okay.

-Okay. -Keep going.

-Yeah. -going again.

Are you fulcruming up this one?

Talk to me.

Put it under here so I can use it to push.

-Yeah. -Can you hold this down like that

into place, if you can?

-One, two, three. -That's it, communicate, guys.

-Yeah. -Little bit at a time.

-You got it. Ready? -One, two, three.

That's it.

- You guys, inch... An inch by inch. -One, two, three.

That's it.

One, two, three.

-Wait, again. -Okay, is that off?

-Wait, again. -Okay, is that off?

It's sitting on this one. This one's stopping me.

-Hey. -Okay, listen to me.

-Yeah. -Let's see if we can just keep budging it that way.

Okay.

-Watch out... I'm gonna use one of your walking sticks.

Okay, you lift.

Okay, that's it.

That's it.

I had rock-climb and backpack for a living.

I've had to move heavy boulders before,

and what I've learned from experience,

is that you need to hold on to every inch that you gain

in order to be successful.

I'll push from the other side.

We got this, guys. Come on.

No resting now. We can rest in a minute.

Three, two, one. Go.

All right, try again.

Well, you guys are doing it. You're doing it.

Come on. Here, on the fulcrum. Go, push. Everybody.

Three, two, one. Everybody.

Almost. Come on.

Ready? Three, two, one, go! Come on!

Is that completely... It is, look.

-It is? -See.

Well done.

-This is great. We got an asset. -Well done, guys. Teamwork.

If it rains, we have an extra hide to keep us dry.

-And Darrin hasn't been very well... ...Yeah!

...so he needs to be able to get

a good sleep at night to heal.

We've got one out of three assets.

We already have a bow.

We already have two fishing items.

And now we've got an extra hide.

We have the best assets in this game.

Ready?

Yeah, baby.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.

-Flip this back. -Okay.

It's just created a whole host of new problems.

We've been out here for three or four hours,

trying to undo this cast net

that's just caught up in all these thorns.

This is insane.

An impossible task.

It's rough and grueling and a thousand little pinpricks.

How are you doing?

I'm making progress, but I'm paying for it.

We're gonna look like we fell into a pit of knives.

-Well, this is what we wanted, baby. -This is it. We got it.

This is what we wanted, yeah.

Jeff, I still don't trust the guy at all,

but at least, right now, we're getting this thing down slowly but surely.

-Oh, Trish. -What's up, guys?

-Oh, hey. -Oh!

-Good job, guys. -Yes!

-Hell yeah. -Yes.

-You have no idea how long it took. -Awesome job!

-Come here, Dan. -Good job!

-Good job! -Good job, bro. Good job.

Good job, guys.

I'm trying to think of all the strategic ways we could execute a plan,

and become successful, and we did it!

All three cached items have been found in this zone.

Dan and Jeff secured the most sought after item, a casting net for fishing.

-This is great. -We were the first ones there.

It worked out real well.

I got a cast net, baby!

Like, I'm a mountain man from Idaho, for hell's sakes.

You give me a cast net and I'm going to feed a congregation.

This is the greatest thing that I could have hoped for,

other than maybe a bucket of $100,000.

Patrick, Ky, and Darrin recovered a large kudu hide.

Good job, guys! Nice work!

Oh, this is so soft.

And Fernando found two hunting knives.

Good job, brother.

-Good job, man. -Awesome.

He also helped Dani score baobab fruit.

I have two full bags of baobab fruits,

and we have two fruit cutting knives. It's perfect.

And Trish recovered six baobab fruits that were left behind.

Did you guys get any baobab fruit?

-No. ...Yeah, they were all gone.

-Can we give him one, Trish? ...No.

-No? Okay. -Not yet.

I don't give away for free. It's not a charity cause out here.

Come on, yeah?

I'm open for negotiations.

Stinky fish guts bait...

I'm gonna try and see if there's actually some catfish in here for dinner.

We've saved the guts from the last catfish.

It's pretty stinky, so, hopefully,

we'll get another one for dinner tonight.

These challenges are incredibly physical,

require a certain amount of endurance, and a lot of calories.

We have two sets of fishing assets.

I know for sure there's catfish in ponds in Africa,

and fish seem to be the thing that's going to feed us out here.

We are exhausted.

After that run up to the mountain there

-to get the cached items... -Yeah.

...like, my testicle's hurting even more.

And we ran from over here

-all the way over there... -All the way to that mountain up there. Yeah.

Yeah, like, and I just wanted to wait a couple days, and hopefully it went away,

-and it's a lot worse. -Yeah.

My testicle's just getting darker

and getting bigger as we speak.

It's just felt like, every second, I just got kicked in the balls.

We're, like, primed for success, but we need you.

He's been trying to walk it off,

and it's just getting worse and worse,

and this is scary.

This challenge, it breaks people

in ways that you never expect it to happen.

Hopefully, the ibuprofen makes this issue go away and I can stay here.

He's my rock out here at the moment.

He's the only person I feel like I can 100% trust,

and I would hate to see him go home.

I'm just going to go try to rest.

Oh, man.

Oh...

It's not looking good.

I just keep hoping that it shrinks.

-But every time I look at it, it's getting bigger... I know.

Look at this giant hole right here.

Oh, yeah, look at that.

The net needs some repair.

Those acacias are brutal.

You can't use the net with those holes,

because if a fish gets in the net,

it's going to get out of the net.

It's actually kind of the ideal pond ever for a cast net.

I'm really excited about this.

We can see those catfish just swirling around.

Yeah, most of the activity is kind of

out there in the middle.

Yeah, see, just three just popped up.

Any luck with the fishing yet today?

-No, none. -Oh.

I'd be curious to see if they pull any catfish out of here,

because I've been feeling like this pond's pretty empty.

We've been fishing for quite some time now,

and we're not even really getting any bites.

I know that they thought that the fishing assets

were probably the best bet,

and, originally, I kind of agreed.

But we're not pulling any fish out right now.

First cast. Here we go.

There you go. Right there.

Yep. Make that doughnut. Get that doughnut.

Bring it closer to me, your left hand.

Bring your weights closer to me.

You got too much in the front.

-This way? -The other way.

I have used a cast net for years.

There's a lot of different components

when throwing this cast net.

Like, you know, a ballerina.

Just extend your arms, do that twirl,

open that net up, make your doughnut.

All right. Come on, baby.

-Yes! -That was good.

-That was good. -That was really good.

You got to keep it cinched until you get to the shore.

-Yeah, just keep it cinched like this... ...Yeah.

...until you get up here, and then you just shake it like that.

Gotcha. Okay.

-And... -Nothing.

Here we go.

I have a bow for the first time

in my Naked And Afraid career, and never did I think

that a fishing opportunity would take me away from my bow.

However, we have a cast net, and if there's anything

that I know how to do, it's fishing.

Perfect!

Nice and tight. Keep it tight. Keep it tight.

Keep it tight.

-Get in here! -Get in here!

-Yeah, baby! -Come on up!

Yeah!

-Holy... -Yes!

This is what I live for!

Yeah!

Look at that beauty!

-Look at it! -Look at that beauty!

We're netting all your fish.

Good luck with those hooks!

They're gonna get a massive amount of catfish.

Oh, my God!

Oh, my God!

-I love you guys! -Yes!

Love this!

Let's see what we got. Yes!

-He's a fatty. -He's a fatty.

Yeah!

Sounds like someone's catching food.

All right, I'm gonna suck on a baobab fruit.

You guys picked it up, so I would, uh...

-No, no, Gary... -No, it's all all of ours.

Gary, everything is equal here, buddy.

Oh, they're great.

Thank you.

We decided that all of our items are shared as a camp.

-Do you have some for you? -Yeah, I'm baobab rich.

We have a little meal of our baobab fruits,

but that cache hunt, it's extreme expenditure of calories.

We're so depleted at this point.

And the key to moving on in this challenge,

is you have to replenish that.

If I still have the fishing net

that Dan, Trish and I made, I'm going to try it out.

-Whatever you say, dude. -Yeah, I'll be back.

...so those knives would be really handy

for me with my small hands.

Yeah.

I think that's a great trade.

It would be a good asset for us to have as a team,

to have some more fine-working knives

that are really sharp,

because, honestly, we don't really know

what's in store for us.

I'm trying to attract some fish to the shore

so I can scoop them with a net.

I wouldn't say I regret picking the bow

when I had the chance to pick a fishing asset,

because it's still early.

I'm not panicking.

There's trades to be made,

people are gonna be going home.

Nothing.

Dan, Trish and Jeff,

they're already bringing in catfish

and they're just feasting right now.

You definitely feel the rush and the anxiety

of people progressing past you.

- How you been? -Good, good. How are you doing?

Good.

Yeah.

What are your thoughts on our food prospects?

Because, uh...

Mm.

So what do you think?

We have already seen that the fishing hooks

are not doing well in our ponds.

The casting net is really like the ideal fishing item.

It doesn't seem like a good deal for us

to give two great knives

in exchange for just a few small fishing hooks.

Yeah, okay.

That doesn't sound like a smart trade.

I don't eat meat and I don't eat fish,

so I would rather hold on until there's something more valuable

that I would actually want to trade for.

I mean, if I was us,

I would take a walk, scout around,

see if there's anything good going on around here.

Yeah.

I would have chosen the hooks, but I have other people to consider.

When you're in a camp environment with other teammates,

you absolutely have to make sacrifices.

I want to go see if there's a better source,

and scout for, like, you know, Pawnee hives, eggs, anything.

The cache challenge, I didn't come back with anything.

I feel bad.

I'm gonna follow this game trail.

Not a bad sign, I guess.

I'm sneaking away. I don't want the others to know.

Because I want to tap into the resources before anyone else.

Eagles.

And I hear a bunch of geese, a bunch of geese.

I just scared away some Egyptian geese.

I come upon the most beautiful waterhole

I've ever seen in all my challenges in Africa.

This place is everything a survivalist could dream of.

-There's tracks. -It's just a sign that there's food everywhere.

This is it. I hit the jackpot.

There is a crocodile in this water.

What the...

Oh, my God!

There are huge catfish

swimming around right here.

I am catching catfish

in a big, open bond that has a crocodile in it.

I guess that makes me crazy.

I'm gonna try to jump on it.

Whoa!

These catfish are huge.

There are a huge catfish like this.

And, uh...

maybe four-footers.

You know, I haven't decided

if I'm gonna tell the other survivalists about this.

You know, I kind of almost want that little catfish all to myself,

but I don't have the hooks and I don't have the cast net.

If I tell them and I share it,

I'm hoping that food will roll in from the others,

you know, because I showed them the place.

Not only will they eat, but I'll likely eat.

I was thinking, probably because we haven't heard from Fern,

their camp's decided not to consider our offer.

Well, do you want to get the day started.

Darrin, what are you thinking?

Rest? Cool.

Yesterday, I thought, you know,

for a minute there, I might be going home.

I'm just so grateful to still be out here today.

Like, my swelling's going down a little bit,

my pain's down.

Less walking, the better.

You know, I'm in this for the long run,

and resting today is

what's going to keep me here tomorrow and the next day.

I, for one, am glad that you're better.

I know.

I'm really worried about Darrin.

He's going to try and tough it out.

But, for now, we're one person down.

I think, individually, Patrick and I can be pretty strong.

But as a group, with the three of us, we can be unstoppable.

-Should we go? -Yeah.

Okay.

Food is going to be key to keeping our group healthy,

but, hey, this is Last One Standing,

everything is always up in the air,

and that's what I love about it, you know?

Like, nothing's certain.

Okay, so check it out.

I found the most beautiful waterhole

I've ever seen in Africa,

full of food, life, everything.

It's an awesome find, man.

Should we talk to other camps, group, coordination on this thing?

-I'm gonna show everybody everything. -Okay.

Because I think we're gonna be eating like kings.

Really? All right!

One camp has a cast net and one camp has all the fishing gear.

So if I want that fishing gear working for me,

the best thing to do is tell all the other survivalists about this place.

That way, it's way more likely I'll eat.

Hey, guys.

Welcome, guys. Welcome.

-How are you feeling? -Great.

How's Darrin?

Like, he was able to get a good night's sleep,

uh, but he didn't feel like walking anywhere.

He doesn't want to, like, leave the camp right now.

-Hey. -What's up?

-Hello. -What's up, Gar?

I found the most amazing spot I've ever seen in Africa.

-Oh, yeah? -And I've been here a lot.

Fish, four, five-freaking-feet long.

Definitely four.

-Heads that big. -No.

They're like eels.

I'm not kidding.

Monsters, dude.

I'm gonna show you guys where it's at.

We will be eating like kings and queens.

I promise you.

Wow.

Gary? Yeah, he's my competition.

-Are you kidding me? -He's a great competitor.

Am I gonna trust him?

Not entirely. No.

Gary's playing the game.

And Gary might not admit it, but this is strategy.

Do you wanna do that now or...

Yeah. If you... Whenever you guys are ready.

Yeah, let's go.

Bring your cast net and bring your bow,

because you're coming... You are coming home with food.

Right now, we're not getting fish.

The fishing assets aren't paying off.

So if Gary says that he discovered this spot, we better check it out.

All right, Gary, are you gonna lead the way?

Let's go.

So I take it the, uh, trade offer

not really received well?

-The knives for the hooks? -Yeah.

No... You know, here's the situation...

-For me and Gary, it makes total sense. ...Right.

Because that's a food source

-and you can't eat a knife, you know? ...Yeah.

But Dani feels very strongly the hooks are no good.

I can see her position.

-Okay. -And so, that's where we're at, man.

Dani, she's preventing her team

from being able to trade for fishing assets.

That doesn't make any sense.

Why would you have a small knife

that she's not using for survival

when you can have fishing line to feed your team?

I feel like Dani is playing him like a $2 bill right now.

Yesterday, we had a major score.

The baobab fruit is great,

but it doesn't provide me all of the nutrients that I need.

So I'd really like to go out and find eggs or honey or cactus,

would really be staple foods in my diet.

Everybody just went to the bigger water source.

This is my opportunity to go exploring our new area.

And nobody will see me.

So, top secret mission.

There's weaver bird nests.

I have to make sure that I'm the first person there.

If there's eggs in there, I need that protein.

I just felt one of them crack.

It's really good.

Three, four, five, six, seven, eight...

I got ten eggs.

So, I want to keep these hidden for later.

I definitely don't want anybody to know about this.

-That's huge. ...It's a sweet, sweet spot.

Oi, there's an eagle.

Eagles, geese.

This is a freaking paradise.

Dude, this is honestly,

the best watering hole I've ever seen in Africa.

We get to this new location, and it is huge.

It's not a pond, it's a lake,

and, clearly, it is teeming with animals

and birds and fish.

It's beautiful here.

You could cast the net right off of that.

I'm so stoked.

There are a ton of tracks.

There's a lot of animals most definitely drinking from here.

Gary's right. It is an amazing opportunity

for us to be able to procure food.

-Whoa! -Look.

-That was a monster! -Monsters, dude.

-I was watching that. -Four feet.

That's actually a catfish.

Dude, they're spawning right now, so they're in packs.

That might be one of the biggest catfish I've ever seen.

I bet that thing was four feet.

I'm gonna show you... Hey, let me show you...

Jeff.

The killer spot to cast net.

I mean, it's dope, dude.

I mean, they're not... They're in here pretty good.

I know the value of fishing gear.

Come on.

But, right now,

for me, it's worked smarter, not harder.

If I could show them where the food is

and they got the tools,

then they're "work for me" fishing.

Oh, yeah.

Dude, take your shoes off.

I will. If you could wait a minute?

I don't wanna scare them out of there.

Jeff. Jeff, look.

-Look. -I know, I see 'em.

I clearly see them. I love this.

I'm gonna wait for my team to get here,

just so I'm on the same page with them,

so they don't get frustrated with me

for going without them, you know what I mean?

So something tells me that he's almost wanting us to do the work.

And hand them over a payment.

Well, what the are they doing, dude?

-You've got catfish bubbling right now. ...Yeah.

I've been with Gary on many, many challenges,

and I understand him, I understand how he ticks.

Gary loves to be appreciated.

Okay? Like, it's his love language.

It's how he communicates.

Survival is a state of mind.

If you won't eat maggots, you're not going to survive.

Still not eating it.

What a bunch of ungrateful...

Well, look, I'm just saying, because we're gonna go...

-No, no, no. Gary. -If we're gonna compete...

-Stop, stop, stop. No, no... -No, no, I'm not.

Just stop telling me to stop, like I'm a kid!

I still might eat those feet.

-Give it up. -Give what up?

I ain't giving up.

Give it up, man.

You don't tell me to give it up, bro.

I'm a hardheaded... Nobody's paying attention to Gary,

and I see this fuse, uh, being lit right now.

What, are they having a damn conference

about where to throw the net?

He already had this in mind

that his gameplay was going to be that

when he stepped at our door this morning.

-Yeah. -It's like, "Hey, I see a pot of boiling water.

I could use some hot water right now,

but I don't want that boiling water."

Get your ass over here and throw the net!

You got catfish bubbling right now.

Yeah.

What, are they having a damn conference

about where to throw the net?

What's he pointing at?

I don't know, everything.

It's like, "Hey, I see a pot of boiling water.

I could use some hot water right now,

but I don't want that boiling water."

Get your ass over here and throw the net!

I'm going to wait for the rest of my team to get here

before I walk out, Gary.

I'm trying to actually not start contention this year.

My determination to win this challenge

and to be the last one standing

has never been greater.

However...

my strategy this time around is completely different.

They're boiling like mad right here!

I'm now being smart.

I've been quiet. I've been respectful.

I've been friendly.

Uh, I hardly recognize myself right now.

When the time comes to it,

I am not afraid to get rid of my competition.

But now, now's the time to play nice.

Hey, they're 6 feet from me.

-I didn't want to do anything without you guys... Appreciate that, man.

-I thought it would be disrespectful. ...Thank you.

Gary was encouraging Jeff to move on without us.

He's a little aggro. I don't know what's going on.

We don't need to be the fish bank

just because we got the net.

Look, they're right here.

Right there.

-Right here. -All right.

Keep an eye out for crocs. We need a spotter.

There is a crocodile in here.

We need a spotter.

Jeff, you can nail this even with a banana, buddy.

That's what I'm saying.

-Right here. ...I'm not throwing bananas.

-I got this. -Is that a...

-Oh, yeah. They'll come all around your feet. -Jeff.

-Yeah. ...Just don't walk too much because...

Do you see where I'm pointing at?

...they pick on your vibration.

Look, right here.

You see the fin at the very top of the water.

No, a little closer to me.

-Hey, I got a question for you guys. -Oh, yes, I do. Okay.

Do I get to be a part of your team?

-No... It seems like you're not listening, really.

Not today.

Why not?

Hey, I can... I'm picking up on that.

-What are... -What are you talking about, Gary?

-We're just getting the fish. -...awesome.

What about... a little bit of that?

It is. We said it was awesome.

-We're focusing right now. -I mean, I'm picking up

on some other. It's like, "Oh, we don't..."

No, I think that's in your head, man.

No, I'm here... I'm calling you three out.

Gary, calm down.

- We just got here. We didn't do anything. -Nah.

Dan, especially you, I'm picking up on it more.

What the are you talking about?

-Throw the net. ...Can everybody just shut the up?

-We just got here. We're fine. -We didn't even get the net unraveled...

Everything's fine.

We're barely there

two minutes, and Gary just starts popping off.

And quite frankly, I'm not interested.

This is my challenge, not me and Gary's.

Let's fish here.

Let's fish. It's a beautiful day in Africa,

ladies and gentlemen.

Uh... Hey.

You heard what I have to say.

-I'm calling you guys out. -All right, calm down.

Just have a discussion amongst yourselves about it later.

Say "Gary's an."

Okay, he calls us out.

Gary Golding is losing it.

When he didn't get immediate praise, started screaming

and throwing a temper tantrum.

And when Gary feels like he's backed into a corner,

he's unpredictable.

The only downside,

-I'm throwing into the wind, but... ...Yeah.

That's it, baby.

Jeff, come on.

Fish on!

There you go.

Yes! Yeah, baby!

Catfish!

-Yes! -Woo!

Awesome!

Hey, was I right or what?

-Thanks, Garr, for the tip. -You were right, Gary.

-That's awesome. -Thanks for pointing out the spot, buddy.

-Yeah, buddy. -Yeah.

The way to make Gary stop is

to say, "Oh, you're right, Gary.

-You're right. You're right. -You're right."

But he's not at all.

He's just acting like a kid.

And he's the oldest guy out here.

You got to remember, I did all this research,

and I found this exact spot.

-This is great. -I led you to it

instead of having to walk around for a half hour.

This is great, Gary. This is great.

Yep.

Catfish dinner!

Right where I told him, Jeff gets a catfish.

Everything I promised

is coming true.

That's a massive one, too.

Hopefully, Patrick has some luck with the hook.

Yesterday, we fished and got nothing.

I think I had better luck when I was on the bottom.

The pressure's on.

We could be at a serious disadvantage

when it comes to food right now.

And none of us want to be under Jeff and Dan's thumb.

Whoa!

Got one.

Woo!

You got it?

Well done, Pat.

Woo!

-Yes! -Woo.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm jealous.

I'm choosing to walk around the lake

and kind of scout things out,

but I'm hearing in the background, just, cheers.

I got one!

It's just pure elation

from all the people with fishing assets.

All kinds of fresh tracks here.

Definitely where the animals are drinking from.

But I also see a lot of shoreline.

A lake this big,

it can kind of be too big in terms of hunting,

because the animals have...

hundreds of options of shore to choose from to drink.

So to pick your blind location...

it's hard.

There's fish in this water.

It's clear, they're jumping, they're bubbling.

The water is just too dark, too murky.

Shooting into the water at a catfish probably isn't

gonna be feasible.

The fishing assets really seem to be the right tool

for this area.

Way to go.

There they are.

Yeah, Pat!

Ky, you're eating tonight.

Oh, yeah.

Whoa!

Patrick!

That is huge.

Holy dude!

Do you need a hand?

You got another one?

Yeah!

I showed everybody the hotspots right away.

Trish, Dan, and Jeff start catching catfish.

Patrick got one monster and one good-sized one.

Oh, baby, did you get one?

Holy -Yes, I got one. -Yes!

Whoa, that thing's huge!

-Bring it over, Dan! Bring it over. -Huge!

This is a true gift.

You're welcome, everyone.

Is Gary going to expect one fish or half a fish?

One to Gary's team,

-or one... -One to their team.

-If we can get one more... -Yeah.

...do you want to give him and Fernando each one?

That'll maybe shut Gary the up,

instead of giving him a half a fish.

I think giving one fish to the team is a lot.

Let's get another one for us, too.

Let's see how much we get first.

All right.

We earned that cast net, baby!

We freaking earned it.

And we earned these fish.

We don't have to give them to anybody.

No one deserves these fish except us.

However, Gary expects payback.

And I want to keep the peace as long as I can

until I can stab the dagger through the heart

of my competition.

Jeff, you're putting that in your bag, right?

-What's that? -Put that in your bag?

I'm going to... I thought I'd put it on a stringer.

-Just hold on to it? -And...

And you don't get it... I ain't taking.

I showed you this.

-The way I'm rolling with this... -I know you did. I know.

If you guys don't share, you guys are pricks.

Gary, we're not still in this...

I'm gonna tell you straight...

You know what's endearing is if you guys give me credit,

there's nothing wrong with it. I don't know why you guys wouldn't do that.

Why are you getting so upset?

I'll tell you why, 'cause there's a certain energy.

-Not you. -Okay.

-You're all wound up. -Gary, we are giving you credit.

Yeah, I'm wound up!

-Why? -Why?

-Wasting a lot of energy. -I don't know. maybe like,

"yeah, thank you."

You've just been jumping down our throats.

Whatever, it's pointless to talk to him.

Deal with this too much out here.

You're like, inviting it yourself,

-you don't even give us a chance to talk. -No, I am inviting myself,

because there's a certain energy that I'm feeling.

I'm telling you. I'm just pointing it out.

-We process differently. ...Take my word for it.

- Whatever, Gary. Talk to yourself. -You're gonna eat...

-You're gonna eat like mad. -Whatever.

-Talk to yourself. ...You guys are gonna eat, eat, eat!

We're all gonna eat.

Oh, well, thank you. That's what I wanted to hear.

-All right. ...If you'd keep quiet long enough,

we'd all say it.

-But now you make us not want to say it. ...You're welcome.

I'll make you not want to say it

and hit me while you feed me.

You're doing a great job.

I'll make you not want to say it

and hit me while you feed me.

-My God. -Dude.

That's, like, too much, man.

We'll throw Gary one, -make him happy. -Whatever.

I don't want to.

And, I mean, dude, he just ruins

-all the, like, joy in the. ...Yeah.

Like, let us, like,

see what we're appreciating, and then thank you.

Like, the word is called humble.

-Like... -No.

-Gary has none of that. -...be a little humble for a second?

Like, I'd love to show gratitude.

Are you kidding me?

We worked hard yesterday to get that fishing cache.

This is literally the worst possible place

-you could ever stick a fishing net. -Yes.

Great job, Dan.

-Holy, that was a lot of work. ...Good job.

My team is reaping the rewards

of our actions right now.

But it's like you demand thanks and praise

for something that's like...

then I don't want to give it to you at all.

You got one!

That's a big one!

-It's a big one. -Oh!

I don't know if I'm wandering around here

in these parts very much.

I'm going to abandon ship, let them do the work.

Hopefully I got a fish coming into camp tonight

if I am predicting this right.

No matter how mad they are,

it wouldn't look good to not give Gary some fish.

Dude, that is the biggest catfish

I've ever seen in my life.

I know, right, dude?

And like, I caught these on fishing line.

-Yeah. -Okay?

That's going to be a good selling point

when it comes to Dani about a trade,

so you guys can have your own fishing asset.

I know, I know.

So that trade's still on the table.

-Thank you, man. -Yeah.

I want to respect Dani.

-Yeah, I know. -But I'm in a tough spot, you know?

Yeah, yeah. But like, uh...

I think it would be good if we all had a fishing asset.

Oh, my. It makes so much...

If we have all these lines in the water,

-everyone eats every day. -Yeah.

No self-respecting survivalist wants to beg food

off from another survivalist,

let alone in a competition.

We're giving Gary and Fernando the opportunity

to catch your own food, and in return,

we have all the items we could ever need.

It's like breaking my arm carrying it.

-Patrick, congrats, buddy. -Thank you.

-Good job, guys. -yeah, dude.

-Hell of a day. -...team.

-We killed it. -Oh.

We have an excess for sure

that we've caught today.

So I'm going to be giving Fernando one of these fish

for him and Gary.

I don't want to reward Gary's behavior today.

Gary acts like a child sometimes.

But I won't let Fernando suffer because of that.

Because good relationships gets you farther

in the competition.

You should bring it back and keep the guts.

This is insane.

-Thank you guys so much. -Of course.

-You don't have to thank us. -I'll have to be...

You don't have to thank us.

The other teams with hooks and the cast nets just got

dozens of pounds of catfish.

And we had none.

We were given some,

but we had no way to get it ourselves.

Hey, Darrin.

-Yeah. -Got a couple catfish.

Oh, sweet.

Yeah, I got this guy on the line

-and that guy on the line. -Oh, yeah.

So everyone's eating tonight.

Wow.

-Yeah. -Oh, I'm going to sit up quickly.

No, no. Rest.

Rest. Recover.

Patrick just came back

with a catfish the size of his leg.

He's got like 10 pounds of meat alone on these fish.

You know, that's protein to heal my body right now.

We are going to eat like kings tonight.

Did you want to cut the tail off first?

I'm not worried about the little one.

That big one, we should fillet.

If only we had a little knife.

Looks like they brought daddy a fish.

We were just talking about you, Gary.

Oh, everybody's talking about Gary.

-Why? -They're all pissed off at me.

-Why? -Yeah.

Because I kind of called it on those.

So it caused some friction.

I would say that we probably can't rely on them sharing

the cast net food beyond today.

Just my hunch.

-I don't know. Maybe. -Yeah.

But I think, you know, we may have

to be a little more self-sufficient moving forward.

So hooks... would be a thing.

Would be a thing.

-Yeah. -Now that we've seen

what we see here,

those fishing hooks just got way more appealing.

We can't keep, like, waiting for our handout

from that group

because there's a little bit of a funky tone.

I think we should reconsider trading these knives.

It just seems strange to trade two items just for one item.

I can't think of any items that I need to trade for.

I think it's a great trade for Gary and Fernando.

But I know how valuable the knives are

to everybody else.

So I feel like I would rather be patient

and hang on to that for something more valuable.

The fishing there is incredible.

Okay, here's the deal on the selling point.

Pat caught the biggest catfish of the day on a hook.

I'd be happy to give... This is not going to feed me.

It's beautiful. It's awesome. It's useful.

But it will not feed me.

Not the way that hook will.

I'm cool with whatever you guys are.

I mean, I'm good.

And also, these knives might help us on the next challenge.

Yeah.

I cannot eat a knife.

I already have a kukri.

I already have a blade.

Give me the fishing hooks right now.

I'm, like, in a tough spot.

In the end, I'm going to ultimately respect

my campmate.

Trade's not going to happen.

I have to play this game

with integrity.

But man, that could really go a long way into helping

Gary and I, like,

-Woo. -Dude.

Hah.

Freaking beautiful.

Oh, my.

Naked and thriving.

So right now, I'm just

harvesting some materials for a little barbecue grill.

It's going to be a tripod structure

with a fire in the center.

When this other middle triangle is formed,

we're then going to lay a bunch of grill pieces

over top of this.

And hopefully, then we can cook all of our catfish

without even having to hold them over a fire.

That is a sexy fish rack.

This is a fish rack right here.

I have never before been in this situation

My favorite thing about these fish is no scales.

-Oh, my God. -No.

This is like, my fantasy.

Jeff and I somehow were able to put our strengths together

and combine them into one and kill it.

I still don't trust the guy as far as I can throw him.

But at least right now,

I don't know if it's a manipulation tactic or what,

but he's acting like he learned a lesson

from the previous Last One Standing.

I never thought I'd appreciate you so much, Jeff.

You did great, man. I appreciate you.

Your game is your game.

How come?

They have an opportunity to feed themselves,

and they've turned it down twice.

And...

I don't think we should feed them anymore.

Like, this isn't a soup kitchen.

Okay.

-I'm okay with that. -Mm-hmm.

Especially in a challenge where we're competing,

you know?

I'd just be like, if they asked you for some,

I'd be like, "Hey, we offered to trade you fishing lines

so you could catch your own,

-and you turned us down." -Mm-hmm.

And just leave it at that.

Mm-hmm.

Do I need to go tell everyone

why you're doing what you're doing?

Yeah.

You know, there is a little bit of strategy

into how much we share right now.

We fished for all our food, and...

that took energy and that energy needs to be replaced.

And other teams that didn't have to do that

didn't use as much energy.

If I hold someone's hand through Last One Standing

did they really beat me in Last One Standing

or did I beat myself?

What have you guys been up to?

Yeah, dude.

We don't play.

I was just letting you guys know, like,

we gave Gary and Fernando an opportunity

to trade for some fishing line

-And, uh, what'd they say? -And they said no.

-What? -Wow.

We're not gonna be a soup kitchen.

We're not gonna be either.

Why does Dani need the knives?

She's keeping the knives, keeping them from eating
