Now, we heard there's some hauntings

associated with the underground here

and some of the other abandoned structures.

we encountered a troubling wall of silence

around the city's dark history.

But then, one of those voices finds us instead.

We are approached by a local resident

who says she has something urgent to share

about an unexplored section of the underground.

How do you access the tunnels?

I'm pretty sure they've been blocked off

-because they're no longer safe to be underneath them. -[Zak] Okay.

Okay, but tho-- but those tunnels exist, right?

[Ashley] Yeah, those tunnels exist.

Why do... Why do not a lot of people in Pendleton

wanna talk about the underground?

Um, because a lot of bad things happened underneath there,

a lot of things that the founding families don't want people to know

-and the treatment of people and the whatnot. -The Chinese?

There's a lot of dark stories, um--

There's a lot of dark energy. So, when you guys are down,

We are being told this new section of the underground

is the darkest of dark.

It contains a jail said to have been used by the Chinese

as a part of their self-managed subterranean justice system,

and there are rumors of multiple violent deaths in and around the jail.

There is a lot of deaths that happened down there, for sure--

There was a group of criminals in jail

and a bunch of drunk cowboys one night went down there

and just shot into the jail cell.

[Zak] We have not yet found documentation to confirm this story,

but we do know that locals claim to have been attacked down there.

There was just this dark, like, wave of cold energy that just came

-completely over my body. -[Zak] Was it, like, threatening?

Yeah, it felt like there was something squeezing my chest,

almost trying to, like, rip my heart out.

And it started causing pain, like, right here.

to this part of the underground.

Meghan, who was brutally marked on her neck in our part one investigation

at the Cozy Rooms introduces us to Nicole Sloan,

who agrees to show us this new section.

Nicole walks us to a back alley entrance,

but tells us she will not go past a certain point.

It feels really, really heavy, um, disorienting,

and my gut will not allow me

to go to the very back.

It won't allow me to go past the well.

[Zak] We move to the area that Nicole is describing

and instantly feel a powerful psychological effect.

I receive a quick flash of what appears to be a short man,

and this is not an image generated by my mind.

Something was there,

and later, we will make an incredible scientific discovery

in this same exact area.

And it's a scent, like, for hunting.

[Zak] No EVPs are captured, but I had a goal beyond that.

I wanted to manipulate the energies to chum the murky waters

using Nicole's fear.

My heart is racing and, like, my legs feel like JELL-O.

the intelligence we've gathered so far.

I feel like down there, like, horrific things happened,

and I'm guilty for going down there

without knowing what happened down there.

we begin part two of our lockdown investigation.

Billy and Jeff returned to the Cozy Rooms brothel

to continue their experiments with the isolated video loop,

and Aaron, Jay and I move to a more sinister section of the underground.

Okay, right now, Aaron, Jay and myself are in a part of the underground

that is very disturbing...

and very sad.

This is the area where the jail is,

where we were told the Chinese were locked away.

There was rumors, and I'm emphasizing this,

this is a rumor.

We were unable to base any factual information off of this,

but a lot of people in town have claimed that some Chinese

have been murdered down here in that jail cell.

There's a story of the one incident

where, like, there was a group of criminals in jail

and a bunch of drunk cowboys one night went down there

and just shot into the jail cell.

-Do you think that's true? -I do.

[Zak] There's also an ax over here somewhere.

This ax represents a killing.

There were Chinese gangs here

when they were all living here,

they were rivals.

And there is documentation of one Chinese gang member

killing another with an ax,

and that's what that represents.

Jay now prepares an audio experiment.

I have three different recording devices.

A newer digital recorder and two old actual tape cassette recorders.

What I'm gonna do, I'm gonna place one recorder

on each of these beds inside this jail cell,

and we're gonna try to make communication

and see if we get any kind of responses.

Afterwards, I'll be able to compare it,

and we'll be able to see if the digital picked up something

and the cassette didn't, or vice versa,

the cassette picks up something, and the digital doesn't.

Just trying to narrow down and trying to figure out

which way it works best.

[Zak] As we roll these recording devices,

we will try to make contact with any Chinese spirits

by utilizing a translator program.

And before we can begin, we start hearing things.

Just as I tell the spirits to speak to the recorders on the bed,

we capture this unexplained anomaly

moving toward the bed.

by conducting a visual ITC experiment

by using an isolated video loop.

because the loop's screen has been completely calibrated

with no movement for over 30 minutes

until they begin asking the spirits to show themselves.

created stairs right into a light source.

And now it's back to what it was originally was, where we had to calibrate it.

So, it completely changed that.

[Billy] We created an isolated video loop and it manipulated the loop.

It's hard for me to just comprehend of what just happened

then left the machine which Billy detected on the EMF meter.

the loop displayed this by the entity

returning to the light.

Aaron, Jay and myself are still hearing

unexplained noises all around us,

and as I aim my full-spectrum camera in that direction,

I capture what appears to be strange movement here,

moving left to right.

And as we are all standing completely still,

we cannot explain what this is.

It all happened once we started translating in Chinese.

At this moment, we all begin to hear

loud footsteps, noises and voices.

I also want to remind everyone

that we contacted the property manager

who confirmed that there are no living persons above us

in a completely locked and sealed empty building,

Oh, guys, there's something.

while I was shooting in that closet over there.

They were making noises right in front of me.

[Zak] Back at the brothel, Billy begins to experiment

with different light spectrums while taking still photos.

[Billy] I can take some UV photos.

We're in the hallway, I'm taking pictures.

So could you please come out into the hallway?

[camera shutter clicking]

I'm using two separate UV light sources that are different

in the spectrum of ultraviolet.

The flashlight that I usually use is this one.

This is 365 nanometer, ultraviolet.

It's completely different

than those other-- Whoa, whoa.

[Zak] At this moment,

something strange is captured on this full-spectrum camera.

Watch closely as this small pulsating anomaly

travels towards the camera.

And when it gets larger, you can observe it expanding

and contracting like a beating heart.

When we punch in even closer, we can distinctly conclude

that this is not an insect.

the ITC monitor device reveals something

leaving the isolated video loop.

Back in the underground, I now begin using the PSB7-Pro

with the A.P.F.D processor to try and communicate.

I begin the session by hitting the gong.

I now suit up with the XLS camera.

And it feels like hunger pain throw up.

[Zak] Could this spirit be thanking Jay

for doing a respectful memorial prayer

and offering at the site of the Chinese Massacre Cove the day before?

As I'm getting this message to go to the well,

we now capture a chilling voice saying, "Need help."

[Zak] As I make my way to the well room,

I hear a rock being thrown.

[rock clattering]

[Aaron] Ain't afraid.

Are you throwing a rock at us?

[Zak] Right over here.

And as you can see me here

and Jay and Aaron in the jail cell here,

we cannot explain what made this sound.

As Aaron and Jay leave the jail cell to join me,

we capture these voices.

We now leave the jail cell area

and enter a new section where the well is.

We have not been over here, yet.

As you can see, I'm literally setting up an X camera.

With my thumb.

[Aaron] This is the well.

Cool.

I'm just getting hungry.

I feel really confused.

All okay?

Are we feeling what you felt?

My whole body is changing now, like...

I capture a creature-like entity climbing up the post.

We all hear a loud, unexplained banging inside of this room.

It just felt like a cat ran in between my legs, bro.

Could the creature that climbed up the pole

and made those loud noises after it shot off camera...

What we uncovered in Pendleton is so compelling

that I decided to add a third day

to the investigation so that Billy can deploy

a highly advanced 3D mapping laser scanner

in the underground.

We meet to discuss what he discovered.

Sometimes you leave and you start analyzing the evidence,

and you realize that there is a lot going on there.

And these spirits are very active.

Because this is an underground space,

and because there is so much secrecy

surrounding the dark history,

we turned to the LiDar Hovermap scanner,

which sends light waves into a space millions of times a second,

to create a highly sophisticated 3D map.

So the reason why we are here right now

is Billy has captured something

on a device that has precision to the millimeter.

Yeah, literally.

So share with us what we captured.

Billy scanned the entire area

of the underground that we had access to.

is where we captured something going up the pole

-and jump-- -And then leap over top of Jay.

That was at the same precise moment

where we captured

what sounded like a loud banging sound.

And there was nothing there. We had that on X cam.

So did we capture something in the second scan?

When the hovermap turns on, it's taking 300,000 measurements per second.

As that thing rotates,

Anything those tiny little dots hits it.

this inexplicable three dimensional object.

Looks like a skull.

And here's the thing. I want everybody to understand this

as we're looking at this, there was nothing there.

We have footage of Billy walking through that exact area.

There was nothing hanging from the ceiling.

There was nothing at all.

That is crazy. For this technology

to capture something that wasn't there

on the other cameras, there's something there.

In that shape that had enough condensed energy

for these little microscopic dots to identify.

-Tentacles, or... -I think the dots are almost like it's leaving a residue.

And we know that when spirits manifest,

sometimes the second they disappear,

we'll still get EMF readings where that spirit manifestation was.

So it's as if that is just a trail of its energy.

-[Billy] Right. -That is amazing.

[Zak] By adjusting the elevation of the LiDar map,

we are able to estimate that this object is hovering

approximately 3 1/2 feet off the ground.

[Billy] We can literally bring down the elevation

like you're draining the water out

and okay, so that is how high the skull is off the ground.

[Zak] But that's not the only thing we discover

by playing with the levels of elevation in the space.

[Billy] If I come the other direction,

it's going to hit the lowest point first.

The lowest point of this entire basement is where...

-[Zak] Look at that. -It's where the skull...

This is intriguing here,

to see that this anomaly, this head

is floating above the lowest point in that basement

-aside from the well. -[Billy] Right.

-Well's over here. -But why is that low?

And then why is it in that shape?

-[Billy] I don't know. -[Zak] Is there something buried there?

-A body, maybe? -Or bodies.

[Zak] That's kind of the size of a burial.

I think that there's something significant.

That's where the thing jumped on the pole and got Jay.

That's where the thing ran between your legs,

and that's where this anomaly--

And that's where we heard the sound.

-[Billy] Right. -At this same exact area.

But there's even more evidence that something unseen

inhabits this section of the underground.

We discovered this unexplainable mass over what looks like a grave

in the same area that terrifies Nicole.

And I saw a small human-like figure in this exact area as well.

Billy scanned a similar floating object

over the old well, a few feet away.

[Billy] We're looking straight down.

-There is something right here. -[Zak] What?

-[Billy] Hard to say-- -[Zak] Oh, it's above it.

Oh, my God. It's above the well.

Billy created another animation to highlight this object.

What we're looking at right now

-are a pattern of like dots coming out of the well. -[Billy] Yes.

So here's the thing.

Did this floating head as we're calling it,

because you walked first there and you walked past that

with the scanner to the other area,

did you first capture this head coming out of the well?

Those are the dots.

And then as you walked by it, the head caught up with you

and we captured the rest of the dots.

And the head-- I just got chills from saying that.

I think that's-- That's what I want to go.

A possible-- A good deal.

-Yes. -One thing I want to address, though,

are these dots.

Because I've seen these dots before.

And it was when you guys were doing the ITC-- What is it? Isolated loop?

[Billy] The isolated video loop experiment.

Now, when you captured the spirit

going to and from the white light

on the monitor,

it would show up as what similar dots mean.

-Right? -Watch this.

That came out [bleep] in isolated video.

How similar is that to that?

[Zak] So this is interesting.

Two different locations, two different devices

and you guys captured the same dots.

That's a compelling connection.

The reason why our investigations are getting even more exciting

than when we first started is because of the advancements

in technology and what we're using now.

That's why this never gets old.

It's like we're using this new equipment now

to see and hear things that they are literally

breakthroughs in paranormal research.

What we have captured is 100%, and I challenge anybody.

100% unexplainable.

There is no explanation for this whatsoever.
