ladies and gentlemen.

[speaking hoarsely] I know, right off the bat, you are noticing

something strange.

I was just pretty sick, and I'm coming off of it,

and I've lost my voice.

But we couldn't pass up this opportunity,

ladies and gentlemen.

For years, we have been trying to investigate

Rancho Los Amigos.

At the Rancho Los Amigos Medical Complex

in Downey, California,

most of the long-abandoned buildings on a 74-acre

section of land were recently leveled after decades

of rampant vandalism, arson, and disturbing satanic rituals.

[distorted voices]

The ones that remain are crumbling into dust.

Now it is an ungoverned breeding ground

for the most lethal strains of evildoer,

whether they be human

or demonic.

In 2006, Marines using the property

as a training ground found mummified human legs, feet,

and brain matter estimated to be 30 to 40 years old

in one of the now-demolished buildings.

There are two abandoned structures left --

the decomposing power plant

and Casa Consuelo, which was once a lockdown facility

for what were called psychopathic patients.

We move to the Casa Consuelo Building to assess

the threat level.

[Zak] Well, that's not a very welcoming message.

"You will die."

[Jay] So, Zak, we got here a little bit early.

So we saw a cop and we asked him,

we're like, "Hey, do you know where this spot is?"

And he's like, "Oh, that place!"

And he's like, "You don't wanna go there."

And I was like, "What you talking about?"

And he's like, "Be careful over there."

He's like, "Whatever you do," he's like, "just be careful."

And we're like, "Why?" and he's like,

"That's where everyone goes and does rituals."

-Straight up just said that. -Yeah.

[Zak] That probably makes sense, that "You will die."

And if they're the ones writing a message like that,

[Jay] 100%.

[Zak] Little do we know that this building's evil

will soon show itself to us in the most dangerous

and disturbing way imaginable.

You see these old buildings, and you know

what this place was.

You just can feel all the emotions of these people,

all the anguish that they went through.

Every person that lived and died here.

And they're here, and they're stuck.

And that police officer telling you guys, um,

"Stay away from there, people do rituals here."

There's a reason why they do rituals here.

They're using these lost souls as keys to open their gates

to something much darker.

And when we go in here tonight,

we need to try to see if we can separate that...

hold.

But you have to be very careful and keep your guard up,

because innocence can mimic darkness,

and that's where it can get really dangerous for us.

Prosthetic specialist Dr. David Eckhous

dealt directly with patients while working here

in the '80s and '90s.

Were there mental patients housed here?

-Yes, there were. -There were?

Yes, absolutely.

Now, were any of them exhibiting signs

of extreme mental illness?

Uh, yeah, there were a lot of people who were...

How can I put this?

The clothing that they wore could not be tied into a noose.

The more severe patients at that time were still

pretty heavily medicated, so when I go in to see people,

I was not at risk of being assaulted.

And a lot of times, they were shackled

and accompanied by police, armed guards.

-So they were pretty violent? -Oh, yeah, absolutely.

Patients were pretty violent.

We stop at Casa Consuelo,

and I bring up the network of shadowy tunnels

that snake their way beneath the compound.

Could they have an effect on the powerful energy

inside this building?

Well, you know what?

If they don't air it out, I'm sure there's stuff

that's there that's been filtered

out of the other buildings.

That's a good point.

With all the other 100 buildings gone,

this one's the only one remaining.

Have they all filtered

into here through the underground tunnels?

[Zak] I find it odd that they would demolish over 100 buildings,

but leave this one standing.

Why?

With all those structures obliterated, I can only imagine

the concentration of darkness that has been injected

into this one.

Kim Cooper and Richard Schave are landmark preservationists

who are well versed in the history of the compound.

A massive flood in 1914 had a catastrophic effect

on the cemetery, where unclaimed bodies were buried.

When the waters of the San Gabriel River

or the Rio Hondo just exploded over this entire lane,

the water table came up, the caskets came up.

After 1914, they would be cremated.

There was an on-site crematorium.

So when they cremated everybody,

they just stored them here.

They didn't wanna put them back in the ground

'cause they thought if there was another flood,

those cremains were gonna come up. -Hm.

So come the 1930s, they're like,

"Wow, we have a lot of cremains."

[Zak] Rich and Kim say the ashes of over 5,000 impoverished

and forgotten patients were unceremoniously disposed of,

and that the remains were dumped off property

with no markers to identify the dead.

And that's the last we know of, like, 5,600 people.

5,600, at least.

Yeah, and as far as we can tell, they were never

removed from there, and they were never

put anywhere else.

So I think they're still out there.

[Zak] I asked Kim and Richard about Casa Consuelo.

Do you know anything more about that building?

Oh, yeah.

Before World War II, it was a lockdown facility.

-And then after World War II -- -For mental health?

-[Richard] Yes. -You know,

some of the people who stayed here were

very troubled, that's for sure.

[Zak] The facility's abusive practices were exposed

by a 1906 grand jury investigation.

Is Casa Consuelo contaminated

by the spirits of emotionally tortured patients...

...who were cruelly mistreated

both before and after death?

Our friends, the Paranormal Housewives,

investigated Casa Consuelo in 2011.

I remember going in there and feeling like there was

eyes everywhere. They were watching us.

And the strange thing about this place is it feels like,

everybody left very fast. Like they dropped everything

and they took off, abandoned it.

-And the records were spread everywhere. -Yeah.

[Kirsten] Typically, you don't leave patient records on the floors,

and they were everywhere.

[Zak] Ooh, now, wasn't there something else that happened

in here where someone got pretty badly affected?

Yes, actually, that was Kirsten.

[Zak] What happened?

Um, it was right after this.

All of a sudden, I lost part of my vision, and then I got

this incredible pain running up the back of my head,

down the front of my face. -Sounds almost like a stroke.

It was almost like that, and it was terrifying.

I've never had anything hit me so hard and so fast.

And I've had vision issues since that day.

-Really? -Yeah.

-[Zak] Oh, that's it? -I knew it was from this place.

You just said that you know it was from here.

[Kirsten] Yeah, I know it was from here.

-How? -Because I felt a change

in consciousness, I didn't feel well spiritually,

and I didn't feel well physically,

and I didn't feel well emotionally.

But what I was aware of was trying to keep something

out of me, and it didn't work. -How long did it last?

Those effects went on for several days.

[Zak] Kelley Roberts works on the property and says

the air in Casa Consuelo is thick

with the kind of malevolent energy that consumed Kirsten.

-It's like, "Get outta here." -Yeah.

Get out of here. You should not be here.

There's nowhere to run. You can't get away.

Do you ever hear stories of people, like,

breaking in here and doing things?

So we've caught a lot of people coming in here

with like satanic ritual stuff.

And yeah, I've seen some very strange individuals.

[Marsha] They've done a lot of rituals in here.

We've found blood and, like, matter on the walls.

-We've seen pentagrams. -Pentagrams.

This facility is heavily patrolled by the LAPD.

And after one of our investigations here,

I exited the building and the cops had just pulled up.

And he told us to be careful of this building specifically

because one of his buddies responded to a call

from inside the building where a man had a gun

and he was threatening suicide.

But then the cop that's telling me the story

says something happened to the police officer

that went inside, that he was overcome with this feeling

of, like, oppression and rage and something

he's never experienced before.

He actually left the building and left the guy

inside the building and had to wait for more backup

before he could go in. -Maybe that was affecting

the guy with the gun, too! -Yeah!

100%. They think it was affecting

the guy with the gun as well.

[Zak] What type of evil are we dealing with here?

Decades of devil worshiping performed in a building

fed by the tortured energy of thousands of lost souls.

In all of our investigations, that has been the recipe

for the highest level of danger.

But we have no idea of the dangers

we're about to encounter.

[Zak] As the night goes on, I feel sicker and sicker,

and I am forced to head to urgent care.

I will have to direct

the pre-investigation from afar.

But I will be back for lockdown.

I ask Aaron and Billy to conduct

a preliminary investigation of the underground tunnels,

which they will access via the power plant.

We are told the tunnels have been taken over

by copper scavengers and unstable vagrants.

I also believe the dark energy from all the demolished

buildings has flooded into Casa Consuelo

via these dangerous passageways.

[Billy] Uh, there's a lot of sharp metal pieces

and stuff hanging down from the ceiling.

[Aaron] I'm getting claustrophobic,

[Zak] Already very unsettled, Aaron takes

the full-spectrum camera with the infrared light

attached into one of the tunnels.

This is a heartbreaking thing to see.

experience we've ever had during an investigation.

We never expected to get such a stark confirmation

of evil occult practices.

But we can't say we weren't warned.

And this was an emotional moment to see this.

Cops were called today.

They came in, did an investigation.

both good and bad, because I wanna investigate

whether or not rituals and ceremonies

within those religions can open the door and let me see

glimpses of another dimension of life.

I respect the occult, but I don't respect anybody

that is killing and torturing animals.

And if we were to catch the people in here doing that,

I'd be in trouble right now.

So if anybody out there is watching this, and you know

of somebody that participates in rituals like this,

you report them to the police.

we're gonna start our investigation

again, considering what was discovered last night.

This is a very disturbing investigation.

We nearly called off this investigation,

but we are gonna return back inside of the building

where this ritual and these animals

were discovered.

The animals have been removed,

but there are still bloodstains inside.

Again, we called the police.

They did open an investigation on this,

but because of where we're at, we are also in danger

if we run into these types of people.

So Jeff, our equipment tech back here,

he's gonna suit me up with the XLS camera.

We also hired a security guard that's gonna be watching

the perimeter of this building and protect us in case

these people return.

Because of how severe this was, the energy inside can be

severely intense, and we have to be very careful of that.

We did not know this investigation was

gonna turn like this, and we were gonna find

what we found.

So Aaron, Jay, Billy, and myself,

all four of us, we're gonna go back inside.

Again, we are all in a state of shock, and we're all

very saddened and yet angry by what was discovered

inside of this building.

In 17 years of doing this, we have never witnessed

anything like this before.

[Aaron] So I'm thinking maybe they're trying to escape

and they grabbed one.

[Zak] I call in our security guard to be with us

in case this turns violent and these are devil worshipers.

[Jeff over radio] At the back of the building.

and says he sees them running out the back.

[Aaron] Jeff just said he sees them running out.

They had to have gone this way.

Did they have gear or anything in their hands?

I don't know.

We've just been trying to find them.

We just heard them running out.

They went past our cameras.

They're still there, but I don't know if they took

something on the way, that's why I was,

like, hurrying just watch.

OK, then they don't have anything of ours.

I don't even know how they got out.

They ran across the street and took off down the road.

I didn't see any gear, but one had a flashlight.

leave in the middle of doing another act.

We head back inside to see if there is any evidence

that these people were just doing more

devil worship ceremonies.

[Zak] So security is just doing a sweep for us right now.

we are unaware at the moment that it captured the intruders

when Aaron first entered the building.

I enter the ritual room.

We hear Jeff and the security guard downstairs.

and little do we know, they both saw

the apparition of a woman.

a flash of a woman coming out of the ceiling,

hitting the ground, and taking off.

[Aaron] You saw that, too?

[Jeff] He didn't know what he [bleep].

[Zak] What did you see?

[Jeff] Don't step too close to the stairs, man.

This is my first time being inside the building.

[Zak] What did you see?

[Jeff] Just tell him what you saw.

All I saw was a little bit of the hair,

but there's definitely someone down there.

I had turned just at the same time

he had shined his flashlight.

It came out of the ceiling, and it was a woman.

Hit the ground and took off.

All of us stay together now and sweep the top level.

So we have Jeff and our security with us right now.

That's the only way that we can do this,

'cause we don't know who's in here with us.

Billy and I are freaking out because we just did

an investigation two weeks ago where a doll gave me

a very severe demonic attachment

that affected my health.

[Billy] I heard it and don't repeat it.

[Zak] Oh, wait.

Jay.

[Aaron] Bro, I just watched you move.

-What happened? -[Billy] What happened?

-[Billy] You think it was sweat? -I don't know if it was sweat.

[Billy] Could be.

[Zak] I feel something slide down my backside,

but Billy assures me it's probably just sweat

because I've been in this suit that doesn't breathe very well.

[Billy] Where are you at?

Why did you tell Aaron and I yesterday

that you would show later?

What did you mean you would show later?

[Zak] Aaron, come here.

[Billy] My heart's racing.

[Zak] Whoa, Whoa, Whoa, Whoa!

[Billy] Oh, I looked over for a second.

[Zak] Holy [bleep].

[Billy] Was on the wall next to Aaron,

walking right with him. -[Zak] I've never seen a figure do that.

Watch as Aaron walks towards me, and this figure is

on all fours, then stands up and out of the way

as Aaron passes.

Then a visible mist anomaly is seen floating by,

and it goes into the ritual room.

[indistinct male voice]

[distorted white noise]

That was a creepy voice.

Now this creepy male voice comes through the PolterPod

at the same time that this anomaly wraps around Aaron

and disappears into him.

[indistinct male voice]

[distorted white noise]

[Zak coughing]

Suddenly, I can't breathe or take a breath,

and I start to panic.

[coughing continues]

[Billy] Make sure they don't break back in and take

the cameras while we're out for five seconds.

We'll have nothing. Nope, we'll have nothing.

[Aaron] Do you know the timing of us going in there?

[Billy] Wait, what did you say, Zak?

[Billy] Get -- better go get the cards,

he said, just in case they come back.

When you went into that room, spirit box said something.

[Zak] Me and Billy looked at each other

and we knew what it was.

Said, "It's the doll."

[Aaron whispering] Oh, my god.

I just came off the worst attachment of my life,

dealing with a doll on a case.

Medical problems, health problems,

emotional problems, mental problems.

It's the worst ever.

It's very s -- very even with Demon House.

[exhales sharply]

And I knew that it knew...

who we were and who I was.

And I don't wanna be in there with a weakness right now

of being sick, 'cause that's dangerous.

And then I saw something map up next to you, Aaron.

It was like a giant.

It started low and it came up on you like this,

like it wanted to fight you. -[Aaron] Really?

It's just such a dangerous location in all aspects.

As I stay at our base camp to catch my breath,

Billy and I decide to review the X cameras to see

if we captured the intruders who took some

of our other memory cards.

Aaron and Jay head back inside to retrieve our gear

and take Polaroid photos.

[Aaron] All right...

So what I'm doing right now is I'm laying UV lights,

and then I take a long-exposure Polaroid for like 30 seconds

or to a minute and just let it sit there with the lens open.

Oh, my God, dude.

I feel like something's happened.

[Zak] Suddenly, Aaron gets a notification on his phone,

and we can sense something is wrong.

[Aaron] Dude.

Hold on one second, I'll be right back.

[Jay] What's going on?

You all right?

[Jay] You OK?

[Jay] What?

[Aaron] I gotta go outside.

[Jay] It's fine, but I'm not staying in here by myself.

I don't know what's going on.

Aaron was getting a phone call or something,

He said the police are at his house

and he said, he had to go outside.

At this point, we will not be showing any further footage.

But it is at this moment that Aaron receives a call

from the police that his wife has been arrested and charged

with conspiracy to commit murder by hiring a hitman

to have Aaron killed.
