We're investigating Casper Mountain.

[woman] This bright light

started following us.

They all thought that it was probably something related to a UFO.

[man] This is something weird.

Just everything about it seemed very off.

Billy and I are making our way up Casper Mountain.

That storm is coming right at them.

There's the lady. We gotta get out. We gotta go.

-Oh, my [bleep]... -[Zak] Get in the car!

And as we are still taking cover from the storm,

we all hear an alarm coming from Bill's device.

-[device beeping] -[Zak] What's that sound?

-[Billy] I have no idea. -[device continues beeping]

-[Billy] Oh, is it this? -[Bill] Yeah.

[Billy] What is that, Bill?

It's picking up something.

[Zak] Picking up what?

I don't know.

I honestly don't know what it's picking up, Zak.

[Zak] There are things in this world that we will

never fully understand.

[distorted voice] Understand.

[Zak] We want answers.

We have worked years to build our credibility.

Our reputation.

Working alongside the most renowned professionals in the field.

Capturing groundbreaking proof of the paranormal.

-[Aaron] It's working! -[Billy] Whoa.

I can't give you an explanation.

[Zak] This is our evidence.

Our ghost adventures.

At what direction is it aimed?

It's right out towards Casper.

[Zak] And how far does that pick something up?

Well, that's the fun part.

Probably about 60 feet max.

[Zak] I immediately turn on my thermal scope

to see if anything is in front of us.

And I start capturing something truly terrifying.

Hold on.

Whatever it was, I saw it dip below the road.

-[Billy] Heat signature? -[Zak] No.

-It looked blue. -[Billy] What?

And it looked like it dipped below.

Watch as this blue unknown figure,

blue indicating cold internal temperature,

appears to be standing on the other side

of the dirt road,

in the trees, observing us

with what looks like a small head.

And as I pan back to it,

I notice it disappearing beyond the edge of the road.

And one more thing to note.

Watch what it does

just before it disappears over the edge.

It moves in a very strange, rapid motion.

We are unsure if the camera frame rate

sped up for no reason at this moment,

or if this figure actually moved like that.

[Billy] Zak, this is where that was pointed at.

The direction you're headed right now.

[Zak] Billy and I immediately run to that spot.

Oh, my God.

Be careful, Bill.

I swear to God, I saw somebody.

And to me, it looked like a person.

And this is where it was.

On the other side of this where I saw it disappear,

there's a cliff.

Look at this.

[Billy] Yeah, that's just a drop off.

-[Zak] Don't get close, Billy. -[Billy] I won't.

Damn.

[Zak] As Billy and I continue to try to locate

whatever this figure was,

we decide to head down the mountain

to the same area Isaiah claims

to have captured the Nightcrawler entity

to see if what we caught on camera

was the same type of creature.

[water rushing]

[Billy] It's wet too, so, could be slippery, man.

Seeing anything?

I almost fell.

Whoa. Careful.

Put our light out for one second, Zak.

What you're seeing right now

is only in ultraviolet spectrum.

Show yourself to us!

Can you see this light?

[Zak] Through Billy's ultraviolet spectrum camera,

he captures this orb of light

hovering in the same area where I captured

the unknown face the previous night.

This orb was not seen with our eyes

or any of our other cameras.

Jay is now going to use

a vintage analog radio

that only transmits white noise.

So I'm gonna run this, I'm gonna walk through the building,

and see if anything comes through,

maybe I'll find a certain area

that it works better than others.

That's what I'm gonna try.

[Jay] Where are you?

Are you in this corner?

[Zak] Jay captures a terrifying screaming voice

coming through the device.

[Zak] And while both of them were petrified,

they take a moment to calm down

and go back to see if the voice will return.

[Aaron] Who are you?

[Zak] And it never does.

Billy and I start heading up the trail

to see if we can track down the figure we saw.

-Whoa, what the [bleep]? -[Billy] I don't know.

There's something on the trail.

-[Zak] Whoa! -[Billy] What?

[Zak] Jesus Christ, dude.

-[Billy] What was it? -[Zak] I don't know.

I saw something shoot towards me.

What scared me was only a moth.

[high-pitched ringing]

[Zak] What the [bleep]?

Did you hear that?

[Zak] Billy and I both begin hearing a very high-pitched noise.

-What is that? -I don't know.

It's a high-pitched noise. I don't know.

It's either that or my ears are ringing.

[Zak] Hold on.

-[Zak] Bill. -What would make a high-pitched noise

in the middle of a [bleep] forest?

It sounds like your ears are ringing.

It's a frequency.

I don't know about you,

but that made my hair stand up on end.

[Zak] Billy and I try to get away from this

strange piercing sound so we can clear our heads

and figure out what exactly is going on.

I felt like we crossed into like...

Like some other [bleep] portal, like, opened or something.

[Billy] My hair's standing up in the back of my neck right now.

-It's like electrified. -It's like we crossed into something.

-[Billy] Yeah. -[Zak] It's like we could hear the energy.

Like the energy was letting us hear it.

We head back to the trail

in an attempt to get answers from

whatever is doing this to us.

Is that your face we saw last night?

And you looked at me through the tunnel?

Was that you?

You trying to make us go crazy?

Are you a wendigo? A skinwalker?

From a different planet?

What was that sound?

I notice something very strange.

This bush ahead of us, about 20 feet,

starts bending sideways to the left.

A bush bent over up the trail right on camera.

Stay right here. I wanna get an EMF detector.

[Zak] After initially capturing this unknown figure

that also represented

a cold temperature

that seemed to disappear over a cliff

towards this area

that Billy and I pursued,

we now seem to have our mental state

affected by a very high-pitched noise.

After capturing this unknown anomaly in the water pipe,

and this is not a flying insect,

as this moth here

is what a flying insect looks like.

Then finally we see something

straight out of the twilight zone.

A bush completely bending to the left with

no wind or visible animal.

And now whatever I was feeling

seems to be in or around me.

I didn't touch anything.

[Billy gasps] It went to 94 milligauss just now.

A huge, huge [bleep] spike.

I think we crossed into something

holds many secrets

that we've just begun to uncover.

We are on a dirt road. We are on Casper Mountain,

known as one of the most mysterious mountains in the world.

And we are about to investigate

what is claimed to be

one of the most haunted forests

in America.

We are heading

to Crimson Dawn.

A place known

for one thing.

Witches.

On top of Casper Mountain lived a woman.

A force to be reckoned with.

Her name was Neal Forsling.

She spoke of witches that reside on this land

she referred to as Crimson Dawn.

Her stories were so powerful they gave birth

to a ritual called Midsummer's Eve.

A gathering that takes place

every year on the summer solstice.

A time when the boundary

between the human world and the spirit realm

is at its thinnest.

A ritual that continues 95 years later.

We are here on this very day

to pierce this veil

and uncover the secrets of this mystical world.

My name is Michele Montoya-Lipes.

And I am the head caretaker of Crimson Dawn.

In 1929,

Neal Forsling was newly divorced.

Uh, she came upon the land

and heard that it was open for homesteading.

And she came up here and she homesteaded,

uh, with her two girls.

She was always fascinated

with water, um,

'cause this is a pretty barren place.

And she didn't have a well here.

There was never a well here.

One of the rules was if you were, uh,

gonna come see her, you had to bring her water.

[Zak] In September of 1930,

Neal would remarry. Her new husband

was Jim Forsling.

[woman] I can't go and leave my mountain this year.

I want to be part of it, even in winter.

I looked at Jim, so tall and strong.

His axe falling with such certain strokes.

We were strong enough

to endure any hardships it could bring.

[Zak] Jim, Neal and her daughters

spent the next ten years

living in virtual isolation on top of this mountain.

But in March of 1942,

Jim used his cross-country skis

to traverse this snow-covered peak

on his way into town for supplies.

Tragically, he would never return.

That fateful night,

Casper Mountain took Neal's true love.

Midsummer's Eve came from Neal Forsling,

who lived in this house,

who invented these stories.

And that came from

her sense of connectedness

to this, uh, this place.

[Zak] The gateway to this mysterious world of wonder.

I've always just thought, like,

with Neal Forsling...

like, what...

How could you just move out here,

come all the way up this mountain

that is so secluded,

come to this spot?

Did something else...

Were there other entities?

Were there other spirits that were

interacting with her?

Once a year on this sacred day,

creatures of mystery and magic come together

to celebrate ancient sacred rites.

Neal Forsling told tales of witches

that reside on top of Casper Mountain.

I'll give you sort of the big picture.

There's seven witches.

Cardinal Witch is the head witch.

Topaz is her sister.

Lavender Witch lives over in part of the woods.

There's friendships and rivalries

among the witches.

There's the Phantom Woodchopper.

"Sounds of the Phantom Woodchopper

are well-known at Crimson Dawn.

The ringing of his silver axe is heard often

during late summer

and early fall.

But no one has ever found

the mysterious woodsman at work."

So Neal...

Neal would just make all these different shrines...

with all different spiritual meanings.

"The Shrine of the Good Brother was built

by Neal as an aftermath

to the 1941 death of her favorite brother.

As Neal carried the stones each evening

to make the shrine,

a nightbird sang sweetly to her

as if it had been sent by her beloved brother."

Cardinal Witch lives under the Red Butte

in a cavern that is lined with mirrors.

And her job

is to keep track of the world and kind of help

try to keep things in balance.

[Zak] Could the mirrors Neal wrote of

be doorways to other dimensions

or a pathway to the spiritual realm?

Is the Cardinal Witch

the keeper of a portal here at Crimson Dawn?

[Zak] What is it about Crimson Dawn

that places some under its spell

while causing others to lash out?

Fear of the occult has drawn protesters

concerned for the safety of Casper's residents.

There seems to be something lurking

beneath the surface.

Something I'm struggling to understand.

Ninety-five years is a long time

for these stories to be shared.

And I do know that people

fully and completely believe the stories

and will feed into that, uh, phenomenon.

[Zak] When you walk the grounds of Crimson Dawn, there's

an unmistakable feeling

as if the mountain

is actually a living being.

You can feel the energy.

It's like electricity running from tree to tree,

through every blade of grass.

Was Neal Forsling the perfect vessel

for sharing this mountain's secrets?

Did the mountain whisper

to the only woman who was capable of hearing its call?

When the door of death opens for me,

[Zak] In 1977, Neal Forsling passed away.

Her body, along with her husband

and one of her daughters,

rests here,

on the top of Crimson Dawn.

Now that her soul has returned to the earth,

has she joined the chorus of witches

sharing the mountain's secrets?

the bad part of this park,

of this area,

There's two sides of that nickel.

One, Neal made it very universal.

You got your earth, air, fire, water, spirit.

It is the best place to communicate,

People come up here not knowing

what they're doing,

trying to communicate.

If you're gonna experiment in this field,

educate yourself.

If you can open the portal,

close the portal when you're done.

Not only demons come through portals,

but wandering souls can come through portals.

There's good witches who do good things,

and are there bad witches

that you've heard about in this region?

What does that mean?

I think all the things that people have conjured

We have a lot of that up here.

So there's some dangerous

conjuring ceremonies going on?

and you can feel it coming up behind you.

When you are different in life,

you know the good feelings

I've been doing this a long time,

since I was a little kid, seeing stuff.

And you get the heebie-jeebies and it crawls up your neck.

tell me and my team here

what exactly you experienced.

Back in about '92,

um, I was about 16,

and I was with my, uh, best friend.

And we decided we were gonna sneak out

up onto the mountain

with a couple of guys.

We're camping out, setting up a spot.

We thought we'd go exploring

and we split off into two groups.

And as my group was walking,

I almost tripped over mutilated lamb.

Nothing else happened really,

so we just turned around and came back.

And we meet up with the other friends.

And they had come across a cabin.

And in the cabin was bones,

in, like, jars,

and just bones hanging from the ceiling.

So it looked like people were doing

-some kind of witchcraft. -[Jennifer] Yes.

So as it starts to get dark,

all of a sudden we heard a gunshot.

-[gunshot] -[girl] Did you guys hear that?

-[boy] Oh, wow. -[girl] Is that a gun?

[Jennifer] A couple of guys take off

to go check out the gunshot.

So as soon as they left,

hooded, cloaked figures

in black started coming out of the trees.

I say people-ish, because...

Did you see faces?

-What did the face... -I saw one of the faces

and my friend saw another face.

What did the faces look like?

Um, kind of sickly.

And the eyes were black.

So we huddle into a little circle.

We have nowhere to go because they're all around us.

And just as they're about to reach us,

the truck comes barreling through.

We're jumping in the truck.

And I jump in the back.

And one of the guys grabs me and starts yanking me out.

-And... -One of the robed guys?

[Jennifer] Yes.

And we huddle up against the window.

And the driver takes off.

[girls whimpering]

So I don't know if it was...

I don't remember how much time passed,

if it was a couple weeks or a month.

Um, my friend called me up in a panic.

"They found me. They found me.

They're around my house. They're surrounding my house."

The black robed people?

-Yes. -Were they there just standing?

They were around the house

banging on the windows and...

-[Zak exhales sharply] -...just making a bunch of noise.

I honestly think this is

the scariest story that I think I've ever heard.

-Do you know how many interviews I've done? -[Jay] Yeah.

-A lot, yes. -[Zak] Tens of probably thousands.

I am, like...

This is scary.

This is very scary.

Why do you think there's so much mystery

around this mountain,

associated with this, Crimson Dawn?

What is it about this mountain?

[Elizabeth] I think

there's things hidden in it.

-In the mountain? -[Elizabeth] Mm-hmm.

Who knows?

It's very powerful?

I just don't want to mess with it.

[Zak] We are in pitch darkness

on the top of Casper Mountain,

[Zak] We are at the entrance, at the gate of Crimson Dawn Park,

a place that is riddled

with witchcraft,

with creatures, with entities,

with skinwalkers,

with aliens, with night crawlers.

This is it.

I am pumped up because I can feel the energy of this place.

I'm so pumped up that I'm wearing a vest for the very first time

in Ghost Adventures history like Aaron's.

Because...

I'm not saying Crimson Dawn is negative.

There's also a good positive side to it.

But the dark side

is absolutely terrifying.

And this has been described

as the real life

Blair Witch.

As we enter the gate,

it is locked behind us.

And our equipment tech and electrical engineer, Jeff,

will be monitoring the skies

for UFO activity near the Crimson Dawn graveyard.

And the one thing

that I am most terrified about,

and I am being absolutely serious,

is the story we heard from Jennifer.

The story that has traumatized her

and five of her friends.

The story of

20 to 30 black cloaked people.

She doesn't even think they were people.

She thinks they were entities.

I now use a brand-new thermal imaging scope

to scan the tree line for any figures.

The darker blues represent

cold temperatures,

while red, yellow, and orange

are hotter in temperature.

[Billy] Zak's one of those people that leaves

the tags on things.

I left the tag on this?

-Oh, my God. -Bro. [laughs]

[Aaron and Jay laugh]

This is so stupid. I always do that.

My clothing, everything.

The moon is massive.

It's completely full and peering at us

between the trees,

casting its light on this forest

like a call to awaken the creatures of the night.

As we reach the top of the path,

Jeff is now prepared to keep watch

over our heads in the skies.

Because we learned earlier from an actual witch,

there are reports of UFOs over Crimson Dawn.

[Elizabeth] And on the horizon

where the edge of Casper ends

was a landing strip of red lights.

So the guys have got me up here right now.

I'm gonna be using these IR binoculars.

They're very powerful binoculars.

I'm gonna be checking the skies

for possible UFO activity,

as well as checking

the forest line

to see if anything comes out as well,

as I'm gonna try and contact the Scarlet Witch.

[Zak] With the many settings on my thermal scope,

I've switched to white hot mode,

which indicates heat as white and cold as black.

I can see Jeff way over there on the hill.

[Zak] As I scan away from Jeff,

I aim at Neal Forsling's old cabin

and see this dark shape move within the doorway.

Whoa. Whoa.

I was scanning with my thermal scope,

and I was scanning around. I've been

scanning the ridge line.

I've scanned over here.

I thought I saw some lights over here.

And then I did a quick scan across the cabin,

and I swear it looked like something black moved.

[Billy] That's cold.

Something black moved.

We immediately head inside to investigate.

It was here.

-It looked like something went this way. -[Billy] Dude.

[Zak] Hello?

Is anybody in here?

This is Neal Forsling's house.

This is where she lived.

And Neal Forsling

is buried right over there where Jeff is.

I'm calling out to Scarlet Witch.

What is that?

[Zak] Jeff starts seeing something glowing

on the infrared binoculars here.

But because he's holding the binoculars

while zoomed in, his shot is shaky.

So as he resets with the tripod for stabilization,

the unknown anomaly is now gone.

[Jeff] Whatever it was,

it was massive.

And it was like it was just

standing there looking at me.

What is that?

[Zak] Hello?

Is anybody in here?

like I got shocked and I just started moving.

Right over there, Zak, in front of us,

that room back there, that's the first original structure here.

That was the original start of the cabin.

I got the thermal detector.

You see how it's red right now?

-[Zak] Yeah, go in there. -[Billy] It's detecting you.

It also tells me the range of

temperature in the room.

And right now it's between 52 and 60.

Anything that pops up abnormally

will show up on the screen as an anomaly.

I'm gonna continue this way, and it should show

these guys as heat, which it's doing.

Jay first decides to make an offering

and lights a small fire in a protective metal bowl.

Then asks if any doorway can be opened.

extended exposure photos.

Then I realize I have captured something.
