The Naked Chief, stardate October 27, 1969.
Oh, firm use of fire that would ascend the brightest heaven of invention.
A kingdom for a stage, princes to act, and monarchs to behold the swelling
scene.
It has been a quiet day.
The sun is shining like lemon crystals through the sunshades of the clouds.
A man was once alive.
But now, like all men eventually, he is dead.
And now quiet lingers in his place.
Where once was flesh is now old stone.
The warmth lies in the memory.
In the memory.
Quietly flowing.
Solemnly. The memory.
Yes, yes, this is it.
That sound, that vibration.
The awareness of thought.
Closely, closely, I can hear it.
The sound, the sound of memory.
It is a hollow tube.
The wind blows through it and whistles.
flowing. Meet Donna, age 20.
She is a recorder extraordinaire and the daughter of a very rich man.
He is the cameraman of the family group.
have this little project partly to shock their father and mostly to make money
their own money not dad's donna and philip are going to make a film no
holds barred fun and vice the sounds of the streets music of the night
images moving vaguely although things
have been going slow things to buy time to rest
Food to eat.
They both have vowed to do anything but ask Dad for a slice.
He's been laying in the bread too long for his beatnik kids.
And anyway, they don't need his middle-class ways anymore.
I mean, a child is brought into this world, right?
He doesn't do it, right? His parents do.
The kid's born and he cries.
The mother comforts the baby. The father comforts both.
Dad lays out the dough for the home and life, and the kids grow beautifully.
The kids get older, and the parents tell the kids what to do and what not to do.
Of course, the kids have a mind of their own, and sometimes they do, and
sometimes they don't agree.
The parent screams when the kids don't, that they are right, and by damn, the
kids should listen.
But the kids don't listen, and then the parent flips his lid.
The kid doesn't give a damn and lets it be known he doesn't care.
So the parent freaks, relents, and the kids see the parent as a dim-witted,
weak shuck.
The kids rebel.
They rebel with fury and with conviction that they will win.
The parents total and complete confusion.
The kids, seeing this confusion, take advantage of the weakness of their
elders and take on the strength to do any and every damn thing they want.
Peace.
Thank you.
At last, Donna and Philip were sure of each other. They decided once again to
get down to business.
Now let's see, what would shock Dad?
Donna and Philip wore over the schedule book and decided to continue their film
with Donna taking interviews and Philip shooting a few thrills.
I just got tired of being a bum, tired of working, and tired of everything, and
tired of society, which I hate because I think there are a bunch of...
I'm just down on people, so I decide just to bum money, that's all.
Or they shake their heads no. But sometimes you get called some pretty bad
names, you know, like pig and stuff like that.
They're not calling you names, they're giving you the fingers, something like
that. That's really a trip.
It's binding, but it's not blinding.
I see.
Is there anything else you can tell us or I about panhandling?
just tips or something well if you want a panhandle the best thing is to do is
not to ask for too much money at one time if you always start out generally
if you give him a big sob story you know like well like i'm pregnant and and he
hits he takes care of the girls and i usually get the guys and then um like
he'll donna returns home to pick up a few extra sounds brando is to donna the
ideal representation of freedom within the arts.
She keeps his picture to remind her that the road to truth and cool lies in
solely doing your own thing.
Ah, let's see.
The book calls for bathroom sounds and autoerotic noises.
Very good. Check off one.
Donna has decided to use a vibrator, a very handy instrument.
Plus it... It makes so much noise.
Who said machines can't do, but man can?
pleasure of her vibratory release the tape recorder going her project
progressing very strange the vibrator and all but it's
all for art you know
after
a shower donna eats a quick supper and checks off tinkle and auto her code
names for her last two recordings.
Now it's to bed, and an early start tomorrow.
Next morning, and it looks flying in the wind.
Well, love's just being free and happy.
Being with people you like.
Where are you from?
France. I see.
What are your views on America today?
It's all right.
I see.
Do you enjoy it? Do you find it fascinating?
Yeah. It's all right.
I see.
You say you're from France.
Could you tell me a few things on France?
when did you get here and how did you why did you leave i get here in 39 for
six weeks and i couldn't go back you liked it that much here huh you liked it
i couldn't go back where you know hitler was over there oh i see i
think
that love is one of the uh Only real things she can give somebody.
What do you do? What is your name?
Well, my name is Monica, and I'm a model.
Oh, really?
I'm really interested in that. I'm trying to get into modeling.
Oh, it's really a gas. You meet all kinds of really goofy people and do all
kinds of weird things and work all kinds of really crazy hours.
It's fun.
That's great.
Did you tell me any more things about it?
It's my personal interest, yeah.
You might dig it. It's like, you know, just as long as you're always on top of
it, don't let it get you down.
Lesbian love sounds.
Now, how interesting that could be.
Especially with Monique.
Thank you.
Thank you.
I never told Donna that it would be like this.
experience for Donna strange to make love with a woman delicious maybe but
well it's all for art now isn't it
Could I have a view from you, please?
I think civil rights is very colorful.
And I think our world is going into some and better
things in civil rights. I think integration is wonderful.
The other day, I saw a zebra inside a gorilla cage. And I think
it's a nice thing. Maybe one day, we'll be able to mix an orangutan with a
rhinoceros. and uh come out with a flea basket um but other than that i don't
think it's still going anywhere 30 seconds oh hi who's the guy over there
with the orange shirt oh oh yeah hey i can see myself in her glasses would you
put a hand back what philip is doing in the film studio well he's obviously
filming a girl philip will you please tell us why
You're filming that girl.
No answer?
He must be too involved filming that girl to hear us.
Oh, well, Philip's filming a girl. Philip's filming a girl.
Philip is filming a girl. Is Philip filming a girl?
Is Philip filming a girl? Is Philip filming a girl? Is Philip filming a
girl?
Girl.
Girl.
What is it like to work for the big stars?
I think it's pretty exciting. The only thing is that you learn that it's not as
glamorous as most people think.
It's a business like any other business, and it's run that way. As soon as you
get into it, you find out that it's work, and there's not that much glamour
in it.
What do you think about inflation?
I think the whole world is inflated right now.
That's what I think about it, really.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you. Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you. Thank you.
Hollywood, the city or the people, does it fascinate you?
It's fascinating, but it's very phony and it's also very sad.
Well, the film industry...
It's kind of funny. The people that hang around Hollywood are very sad. The young
people have a lot of repression. They can't do what they want. They can't say
what they want. It's kind of an unhappy situation.
What is your favorite country?
My favorite country? Country.
My favorite country is where I'm the most happiest in.
Well, that's a hard question to answer, as I said previously.
Wherever you're happiest in, that's the country you want to be in, I think. Now,
I don't know, but that's my reaction.
If you're unhappy at somewhere, you don't want to be there. Isn't that
right? That's right. Thank you very much. Is that all?
Yes.
Kissing and fondling.
They just lap it up and kiss.
Bill knows now that when this film ends, it will be a complete success.
Everyone will see it because everyone likes, or should like, beautiful,
bouncing, naked babies.
Thank you.
Bye.
Mrs. Freeman, I understand you are a member of the Rudolph Valentino Man
Club. Oh, yes.
Did you enjoy going to see his pictures when you were a young girl?
Very much.
Did you ever get a chance to meet him?
Oh, yes. In fact, I have a son, 20 years old, by him.
But, Mrs.
Freeman, he's been dead over 30 years.
You see, Stan Phillips, you must understand the environment he comes
from.
Brought into this world by a rich family of entrepreneurs.
Brought up on the idea that as soon as he was old enough, he would begin
working in the cowboys.
Then, from there, into serious drama, he would take a turn on the stage.
Gradually and evenly, he would develop into a star like his father.
make millions like his dad rule hollywood like his dad have wives and
cadillacs and huge cocktail parties like his dad do everything just like his dad
but that was never philip's goal from the start he never agreed or did what he
was supposed to that's not saying he was a bad boy he just wanted to do his own
thing his father became angrier and angrier and philip became more and more
of a rebel Until one day, Dad just upped and booted Philip out of the luscious
surroundings called his home.
Philip could care less.
He talked Donna, his younger sister, into leaving.
And Donna, being a good sister and doing what dear brother Philip wanted, left
too. Not sure of why, but doing it because youth should stick together.
Together they decided to sock it to Dad and all the morals he upholds.
So here he is, filming naked broadies, and Donna...
recording every erotic sound she can find or think of.
What about pot?
I think it should be legalized because it doesn't harm you as much as alcohol.
Alcohol burns out your liver and everything. I think, well, it's pretty
good, to tell you the truth, because you don't get really
paranoid that much and you're not so, you know.
Well,
there's only one way to make a happening, and that is to happen.
you girls don't mind if i slip into something more comfortable let's say
like you two
Thank you.
what is your name please dr. IQ I am kindly test and doctor may I
ask you what you do for profession I'm a biosexual physicist a white biosexual
physicist if you'd like to know more about it come with me and I'll show you
what it's all about
Well, Dr.
Kindlytest sure does know his biosexual physics.
He really does.
Do you see how easily he makes his sex his bio?
That's from lots of hard homework.
That's right. You just got to keep at it to make the whole thing stand up and
work for you.
so so
is is
um um
me me
Dr. Kindly advocates in his work sterilization of the race and use of
clovage to ensure offspring.
Clovage is a modern process where a piece of skin is taken from a person and
grown in a test tube to become finally the exact copy of the person the
original body cells were taken from. That's right, an artificial man.
kindly test would like to have sex outlawed but he doesn't quite practice
what he preaches kindly test like many other scientists would rather have the
world do what he preaches not what he practices you see he feels he can handle
sex because he's a doctor and understands it but all of us peons well
we'll just have to learn to do without it why have dirty and gushy sex when we
can have clean antiseptic tests to board
A kindly test sure does understand his biosexual physics.
He knows how to make his sexual bio just by flexing his physic. And Donna seemed
to like it too.
Naive Donna wants to continue the interview and find out just what exactly
the kind doctor envisions for the world.
Dr. Kindry Test begins speaking of mass sterilization of certain people,
selective breeding within the scientist community to ensure for a hard-working,
non-emotional worker.
All emotions will be bred out of the workers to allow them to give every and
all their time to the regime of the atomic worker.
The atomic worker, a superman, part human and part machine, a machine to
take the place of useless parts of the human structure, amputation of the arms
and legs, and use of robot prosthetic limbs, able to do the work of ten normal
humans and without tiring.
Kindly Tess goes on to speak, saying that all dissident people on the world
will be immediately stopped to the use of small atomic blasts, able to clean
out an area totally of life.
The use of the neutron bomb to kill only living creatures, leaving all buildings
standing. The use of drug warfare and complete control of the people through
hypnotic drugs.
Kindly Test explains that through the use of drug and atomic warfare, the
world can be swayed to the doctor's beliefs in less than a week, and then
the age of the atomic worker can begin.
To begin, all buildings in the world except for buildings suitable for
governmental and industrial use would be destroyed, and in their place would be
constructed giant mile-long Quonset huts.
The peoples of the world would live in these while proper selection for
sterilization, selective breeding, and clovage could be decided.
Once the population had been divided into proper categories, the people able
to work would become tools of the scientist class.
Changed and shaped physically through surgery, mentally through conditioning,
they will build the labs and tools of the scientist class.
With the resources of the whole planet and the will of the people at their
command, The scientists will begin construction of the total and end ideal,
the perfect and immortal vehicle to put the brains of a select few in.
Self-feeding, self-caring, and able to repair itself, this immortal shell will
house the brain of kindly test and the few associates who believe and work for
him. Thus will begin the age of the atomic worker.
What to do?
What to do?
Donna's really confused.
The project unearths the most decadent and useless freaks.
She's found only depravity and hate in this world, suffering and frustration in
all its people.
She wanted to make this film to show the joys and beauty of life, but all it
seems that she hasn't covered is the ripped scenes and tattered ends of
existence.
Donna thinks to herself, I might as well try something else, but what?
Go back to my parents.
That almost makes sense.
I should quit this project, but I owe so much to Philip. We've been working so
long for the freedom.
Freedom?
You must be hiding it, because I can't see it.
You do just what you're told, and you do it exactly when you're told.
There's no freedom in this world.
Only small ants on an anthill greedily running up the entrance on the top, and
they're staying and making sure no one passes that is not supposed to.
Ah, it's useless to think about it.
Nothing makes sense anymore.
It's all a big shuck and me included.
Nothing seems to work.
Love, soul, harmony.
We're all at war with each other.
Fighting, tearing, hurting our brothers.
Throwing away our souls to be a part of the big glistening machine.
The smooth complex.
The efficient life organizer.
Be hip, be cool.
That's what Philip says.
But Donna just can't do it.
That's it, Philip. Just keep your strange finger on your weird camera.
Film anything you like, anytime you want. It makes no difference whose toes
you step on. Your sister's, your father's, anyone.
Just so you can do your thing.
You are beginning to be a bore, Philip.
That's it now get out and stay out Donna screams I quit I don't need you anymore
Just leave me alone Donna says Here
take your recorder and do your own I'm going to find my thing to do do you
mind? I've really been doing this just for you and now I'm just not interested
anymore So out Philip and don't come back for a while Stupid chick anyway
Philip knows he can do the thing on his own.
He hopes.
Now, what does Donna do?
What is her thing?
Just what is her thing?
Well, here we are, five years later.
Donna's really found her thing.
She's a big movie star now, married to a famous French director, has a yellow
Ferrari and a sable full of minks.
She's just a happy girl, merrily throwing glass on the sand, minding her
own business and doing her own thing.
Her very own thing.
