Previously on Tempting Fortune - the 12 fortune-seekers continued
their gruelling 18-day trek through the Malaysian jungle...
Ooh!
..to win whatever's left of the 300-grand prize pot.
To keep the money intact,
they must resist spending it on tantalising temptations.
Oh! LAUGHTER
Oh, bliss!
Because whatever they spend comes off the group's prize pot.
They're spending my money.
Just one day into their epic trek...
Oh!
..tensions in the team provoked Imani...
Imani, shut up.
..to start spending.
IMANI LAUGHS
While the tough conditions tempted Vicki and Trish...
Taxi!
Ah!
..and pushed Ted to the limit.
I'm burning up. THERMOMETER BEEPS
Oh, my God!
A swimming pool we built in the jungle...
I love it, I really, really do.
It's time for me to treat myself.
..proved too much for Tomasz and Imani to resist.
Oh, my God, two grand is a bargain, I'm telling you. I know.
Argh! Oh, my God!
Such selfish people!
It's day three in the Malaysian jungle...
I've actually had one of my dream temptations.
..and, after a gruelling four-hour trek this morning,
Tomasz and Imani gave in to the luxury pool temptation,
raising the group's total spend to £9,200.
TOMASZ: How amazing is this? IMANI: I know.
Oh, my gosh, you're the only person I would EVER want to be here with!
With the rest of the camp only a few metres away,
the dent made to the shared 300-grand prize fund
is in plain sight.
What do you think about that?
Oh, that's a waste of money. Yeah, yeah.
If the spenders keep spending,
I walk out of here with nothing.
Some people are a lost cause.
Imani's doing it for attention.
Like, "Look at me, I don't care."
And Tomasz, I don't know, he's just a joke.
Imani, I think this is just how she lives her life.
She don't want to be part of the team.
What have we got, 18 days? If she takes one every single day...
She's going to take all the money.
I think everyone within the group should be considerate.
I mean, it's not just our money - it's to share.
Money is not everything.
Maybe people should realise that.
Experience is what matters the most.
There's thick layers of peer pressure being served
to not take temptations,
but there's so many benefits.
It boosts your mood,
it makes you stronger for treks.
So, I'm absolutely not worried about what the group think about me.
Imani, she's going to take all the temptations that she wants.
I'll never spend anyone else's money, no way.
Where's the team spirit there?
The people that will be upset with us are the people that
have decided that they don't want to take a temptation. Yeah.
But you've decided that you want to have an experience.
So, if they're going to stick to their guns,
why shouldn't you and I stick to ours?
Come on, team. Let's get sorted, and then, we can get settled.
Being a team, a real team.
If I were you, I wouldn't be apologetic about doing this.
You put yourself first in this situation,
because sometimes, you have to do that, babe. Like, you do.
After chilling out in the luxury pool well into the night,
it's time for Tomasz and Imani to return to the group.
Oh, right. Are they coming? Yeah.
Tomasz and Imani, they're pushing the boundaries.
I'm just interested to see the rationale
behind them taking the temptation.
Oh, I like this camp!
Hey!
Hey, Henry. You OK? Hello, hi.
IMANI CHUCKLES
I think everybody should genuinely say how they felt.
I'm not standing here delusional, like, thinking,
"Oh, everyone's cushty with what I just did."
You wasn't considering the team when you made your decision.
I think you've taken, like, three temptations -
the glamping bed, the cooling room,
and the pool. Yeah.
So, if we want to kind of stick together, work as a team,
at least be a bit more considerate.
The first two temptations I took,
it was a bit of a protest.
I did genuinely feel disrespected.
Would you say your protest is over?
I would, actually.
But what I will say, honestly, is that that one, genuinely,
it wasn't about protesting.
It was just about me having an amazing moment.
And, yeah, recently, I have felt, you know, more a part of the team.
You're not a part of the team, it's that simple. Oh, God!
You haven't been from day one.
All right, all right. Go and have a rest, go and have a rest.
We all agreed to do an experience,
where a whole bunch of other people were
going to have control of the prize fund.
If you can't hack it, you should've said,
"No, thank you, it's not for me."
I haven't taken every temptation,
and I'm not going to take every temptation, so...
That's fair enough that you say that.
NATHANIEL: Look, she said the protest is over.
I would like to see you show a bit more grit.
I would love to see that.
So, Tomasz,
have you considered that there are other members of the team?
I tell you what is actually the reason that I took this temptation.
I always, in my life, put myself as the second person,
never as the first, and I always struggle with it.
Tom, I've seen you kind of help other people carry bags
throughout the trip.
You've shown examples of you putting other people before yourself.
So, it'd just kind of be interesting to see how
you approach the next temptation.
I think it was time to chastise
those who have betrayed the group.
We know who the spenders are.
Now, it's just trying to limit the amount that's spent.
I came here to have the most amazing experience of my life,
and to find a bit of grit.
And, if I need to go and dip in a pool
and have a glass of champagne, I'm going to do that.
If they still don't get it, well...
Night-night. Shall we settle down?
Yeah, let's go for it.
It's getting a bit more real in camp.
You know when you first meet someone,
you try and, like, impress them? You're really, like, nicey-nicey.
That's all kind of worn off at this stage.
Sleep tight. Don't let the bed bugs bite.
Oh, you got bit now, finally, Hugo.
Have I? Where? Yeah, look, here.
It's another day in the jungle...
Oh, dude, I thought you were gone.
I've missed you. I've missed you all.
..and, after struggling in the heat of yesterday's trek,
Ted has been receiving further medical treatment from the doctors.
I've got some news to tell you.
I'm not staying, all right? Oh, man! Ted, come on, man!
Yeah, no, no, I'm... I was burning up yesterday.
The doctors advised me, really, not to carry on.
It was tough going, far more demanding than I thought.
I was stopping, probably, 50 times a walk.
You don't want to hold anybody back.
And at least they'll have a clear run now, with me gone.
But... You did really well, though. Thank you very much. Thank you.
And you've helped me a lot. You've all helped me.
So, I guess, jungle - one, Ted - nil.
I am gutted that Ted has gone,
knowing how much he wanted to get to the end.
He pushed himself as far as he could.
The rules state that,
if anyone leaves the experiment of their own accord,
their share, which is £25,000,
will be deducted from the prize pot,
plus a £5,000 penalty.
Now, Ted's had to leave on medical grounds -
so that £5,000 won't be deducted,
it'll just be the 25 grand.
But sadly, Ted will be going home with nothing.
We've lost 25 out of the total pot,
so my agenda is to keep the team morale together,
get as many of us over the finish line,
and be rewarded for it
with as much money as we can possibly take.
Eurgh! It was horrible!
You should try and eat something, Vicki.
As the group fuels up for another hard day's trekking,
Vicki's feeling the effects of turning down the daily rations.
I have had zero food.
I can't stomach the rice and beans.
I can't even force-feed myself.
I'm getting three mouthfuls, and then, I'm like,
"Nope, I'm going to throw it back up."
TOMASZ: Did you eat, actually, anything last night?
No. Again?
I can't eat it.
Maybe some temptation? LAUGHTER
Joking.
My head is not in a good place.
I know that I'm going to have to succumb to temptation.
I need food, and I probably need short cuts.
I'm going to only take what I need to get me through.
Oh! Oh, no!
There's something in the toilet roll, and I'm pissing.
I can't move!
Here we go. Don't... No, no, no!
No, don't move it. Don't move it.
Fucking hell! Why is this happening to me?! It's fine, it's fine!
Calm down.
Vicki, do you want to come and do some stretches with us?
My game-plan is to encourage my other camp-mates to start,
you know, enjoying themselves a bit more.
When I saw that Vicki was struggling, I thought,
"I would absolutely love for her
"to start taking some temptations and having fun."
Right, let me just crawl over here.
Imani saw that I was struggling,
so she's asked me if I wanted to do some stretches.
That was a little olive branch, and I appreciate that.
So, bring it forward. I might trump!
SHE FARTS
LAUGHING: Did you just shit yourself?!
Guys! Guys, come on! It's the map.
ALL: Ohh!
Today's trek is an unforgiving three-hour slog
through dense jungle terrain,
before they confront a steep, rocky incline
leading to their next campsite.
Let's go.
The jungle conditions have already claimed Ted as their first casualty.
But if anyone quits voluntarily,
they will all lose money.
It's another fucking hill.
We can maybe pick the pace up a bit?
I mean, literally, it's like we're just walking.
My feet are hurting.
Oh, shitting hell. I'm shit at climbing.
What's Vicki doing? Is she coming?
Reluctantly, yeah.
Come on! Come on, keep going!
I've just got no energy.
I can't even pick my feet up any more.
The weakest member of the group is Vicki.
She seems loyal to the group,
but I think, at some point, she may crumble,
and that's a problem.
I'm exhausted.
Imagine if you hadn't eaten for three days. Yeah, I know.
Doing a trek is hard going. Yeah.
As a fitness coach, I'm a natural leader,
but I do have a no-tolerance policy
when it comes to weakness.
It pisses me off.
I feel like a sloth.
With the team being slowed down by an aching Vicki,
in need of some fuel for her empty stomach,
we've got a little surprise in store.
They're going to be split into three separate groups,
and they're going to be offered a secret temptation.
They'll get to choose whether to spend the night
in the usual hot, sweaty camp, or...
..go glamping.
With two ultra-comfy king-size beds
to relieve their aches and pains,
and a midnight feast of tasty treats,
a tempting good night's sleep
will cost our fortune-seekers 750 quid each.
And this is the real good part, folks.
None of the rest of the camp will have a clue they've taken it.
What would you do?
VICKI: I've just got no energy left.
I feel like I'm going to faint.
IMANI: Are you feeling dizzy, though, Vicki?
A little bit light-headed, yeah.
Vicki is finding the treks really, really tough.
Every day is just such, such an effort.
It's just all becoming too much for her.
It's very clear that she needs to take temptations,
and why shouldn't she, if she needs them?
I am 100% in support of that.
Positive mental attitude - PMA. PMT, PMT!
Not PMT! TRISH LAUGHS
It's day four of their 18-day trek,
and the fortune-seekers have already lost £34,200
from their shared prize fund.
So far, they've been able to keep an eye on each other's spending,
as they face temptations as a group.
But that's about to change.
Guys, we've got a surprise for you guys!
"This evening, you'll be sleeping in three separate camps.
"So, divide yourself into three groups,
"then continue on your way." That's banter!
Four, four, three?
So, you need the strongest in a three.
Yes, Hugo, I want to be with you!
Yes, mate! With you all the way, mate!
I'm happy, as long as I'm not near Imani.
My ears need a break from your voice.
I'll join you guys, that's cool. Yay!
I'll be with the girls. Who else is coming here?
Are you staying here? I don't mind.
Do you want me to come in, and then, there's four? Cool.
So, we've got David, Thom, and Hugo together.
We've got me, Henry, Sam, and Trish.
And we've got Tom, Martha, and we've got Imani.
Vicki? Vicki wants to join us, so...
You want to stay here?
I'm happy here.
When I saw that Vicki and Martha came over into my group,
I just thought,
"Oh, OK. You girls, you're coming over to the good vibes."
And I was actually so excited for them,
because I could tell that they wanted to start, you know,
enjoying themselves a bit more.
That is quite a reckless group, isn't it?
What? I'm not reckless!
Yeah, Martha, keep an eye on them, yeah?
Yeah, you need to pray for me.
My relationship with money,
I've been brought up to appreciate it.
But I used to work as a yacht stewardess on super yachts,
so I have learnt how to spend it, as well.
MARTHA CHUCKLES
I've got used to a life of luxury,
and I would like to take myself out of it
and see if I can go back to the complete basics.
But I'm all for, like,
living and experiencing everything,
so...I don't know.
NATHANIEL: All right, well, guys, don't take any temptations,
and I'll see you guys soon, yeah?
Vicki's showing me a lot today by going
with that particular group,
because I know that group is likely to take temptations.
If they take the piss, then, yeah,
you will see a very snappy side of Nathaniel.
I'm actually a little bit nervous and worried,
because I know I can't really trust everyone here.
I'm very worried about the prize money at the moment.
I think they all, at some point, will take something.
People are very suspicious of one another.
Obviously, I'm not going to spend willy-nilly
and just take anything.
Now split into groups for the night...
Boys - the three amigos, man.
..each team is about to discover our secret glamping temptations,
with a comfy bed and a midnight feast on offer.
Who can be trusted not to spend the group's cash?
We've got a temptation here, then. Oi.
HUGO: Fucking hell. THOM: Oh, my God.
Jesus Christ. Guys, smell those. What are we thinking?
Mate, I could murder them right now.
TRISH: Oh, look at them mattresses.
The worst bit about this is laying on wood.
I wake up in absolute agony.
I really do need a nice bed.
Oh, my God! Gosh!
Are you joking?! Oh, no!
Oh, my gosh! This is the best, look.
MARTHA: Oh, my God, stop it. There's more fans on the beds.
TOMASZ: Woo! That is so gorgeous. Like, look!
Oh, my God, there's crackers.
Oh, no, that's chocolate in there. Oh, you can make smores!
IMAN: Babe, even for the feast, for you alone, it's...
You need to eat. It's amazing, yeah.
If you want to do it,
I literally will not feel bad about you doing something for yourself.
OK, let Vicki do this.
This is the moment. This will be so good.
Woo! "Welcome to your camp site."
Woo!
"Tonight, you can either spend the evening in the basic camp provided",
that bloody thing,
"or upgrade for an evening of luxury glamping."
"Included..." Oh, stop.
"Included is a midnight feast,
serving hot chocolate, soft drinks, crisps,
biscuits, chocolate, marshmallows to toast on the..."
Guys, I don't even need to look at the price.
This is all, like, processed foods that we're going to have.
NATHANIEL: We're going to feel like shit the next day.
You're going to have a sugar rush... Yeah.
..and then, you'll have a massive down.
If it was proper food, I think I'd go for it.
Mate, but it's a slippery slope,
that's my issue. It is a slippery slope.
A couple of crisps ain't really going to take you over the edge.
It's not even expensive!
750 per person! Bargain! Oh, my God.
THEY LAUGH AND CHEER
I'm so glad I joined your group.
Well, I can absolutely guarantee
the other group are going to take this.
Yeah, they've taken it already. Yeah.
750 per person.
That's not that bad. 2,250 for the three of us.
750 per person.
Come on, guys. This'll be the boys' night in.
I think the other two will convince
Martha and Vicki to...
No, Vicki's already convinced,
because there's pop, and she's feeling shit. Yeah.
Martha wanted to go with that group for that reason.
Let's hope our boys haven't.
How long are we going to keep saying no?
There's less pressure now,
because people ain't going to know what we've actually done.
It's day four, mate. We should be stronger than that.
Come on, let's fuck it off.
At home, I'm a spender.
If I see something, you know, I'll buy it.
But it's not my money here, it's the group's money.
And instead of me going, "Fuck it!", and indulging,
it's feeling good to say no for once.
I was a little bit annoyed and frustrated,
because I was outnumbered.
I did come here so I can take off the vicar hat.
But, because I have spent
so long in my life fighting temptation,
it's almost become my default setting.
I'm really battling.
It's a "no" from me.
Yeah, it's a "no" from me.
No. It's a "no" from me. Yeah.
Temptation denied. Boom! Yes.
That's how you do it.
TOMASZ: You're definitely taking it, yeah?
OK.
Vicki is not fuelling her body.
She's not eating the rice and beans - she can't stomach it.
So, in order to get to the end,
she's going to have to take a few more temptations.
Martha, if you want to... Because she definitely is doing it.
Do you want to do it with her?
The rest of the team are going to literally kill me.
I think that Martha wants to take temptations,
but I think she's actually scared of the heat from the group.
I genuinely want to be with you.
I want you to be with me, as well. Oh, shit.
IMANI: I'll be honest with you - I'm honestly fine.
But if you want to do it, don't feel bad.
Are you all right if I don't do it with you? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Are you sure? Yeah, of course.
I really don't want to leave you, but it's not...
I mean, you're five metres away.
Vicki giving in to the glamping temptation
means another 750 quid gone from the group's prize pot...
..bringing their total spend to £34,950.
I was fully prepared to take the temptation.
We were all so hyped up together.
Yeah, I just lost my head,
and I was so in for taking that right then.
I've taken Vicki away from the misery, and she's thriving.
I think more people should treat themselves.
Maybe it will untwist their knickers.
I think Vicki is the one that does concern...
Not concern me,
but I wouldn't be surprised if Vicki takes that opportunity. Yeah.
Ah!
Cheers, guys!
AH! Woo!
Oh, my God! Wait, I want to...
I want to watch her, I want to watch her.
Tell us what it's like!
Oh, my gosh. Like an orgasm.
THEY CHEER AND LAUGH
It is like pleasure like I've never had before.
If I need something, then I'll take a temptation.
I'm not here for the money.
My business was recently valued
at seven figures.
Being a successful businesswoman,
I'm used to being in five-star luxury.
So, having lived comfortably for the last however many years,
it's going to be a bit of an eye-opener,
going back to basics.
I didn't really have a choice.
I need to eat.
Hopefully, I'll have a little bit more energy.
Let's test that theory tomorrow.
Feels like I've actually had food! Ah-ha-ha!
It's nice to have the peace and quiet.
As darkness falls, and most of the group settle down for the night....
HUGO: It only got dark in the last, like, fucking ten minutes.
..Hugo, Thom and David have left things a bit late
to set up their tent.
Oh, shit. OK.
THOM: That's it, yeah. Pull your side.
Have you got it, bruv?
Oh, is it my side? I'm on... Do you know where I am?
Fuck me, the other side to me.
What do you think the other camps are doing now, like?
Sam, Nathaniel, Trish, and Henry
will just be enjoying the peace and quiet,
and they'll be having an early night.
Yeah. They'll be asleep.
The boys wouldn't have set up their tent,
they wouldn't have got dinner on.
They're probably running around naked.
Oh, fucking hell! HUGO LAUGHS
Oh, I can't tell you how excited for this bed I am.
SHE GIGGLES I'm so happy!
'Night! Na-night, gorgeous!
It's day five,
and the group will soon discover that they're facing
the toughest trek of their journey so far.
I had a bit of a naughty dream,
and it involved you, Nathaniel. Oh.
Thanks, mate. Appreciate it.
Can't wait to go to sleep tonight. NATHANIEL CHUCKLES
I slept so well last night, I really did,
because we are missing two very loud, dramatic females -
Imani and Vicki.
If any of them took the temptation last night,
really, I think they should be ashamed of themselves.
IMANI: How did you sleep?
Last night was amazing.
It really, really was.
I definitely feel I can justify my actions to the group,
and hopefully, they understand.
I saved half of my food for breakfast. Yeah.
I was so scared of them falling off the bed...
No-one'll come and steal them! ..so I slept with them!
Vicki's head is in the sky right now.
She's so happy.
Today, I think, is going to be her best day.
After a good night's sleep - well, for Vicki, at least -
they're about to take on their longest trek yet,
over boggy ground, through rivers, and a jungle.
Oh, and did I mention
it's absolutely cram-packed full of leeches?
Ugh!
So, we're offering them a more tempting alternative...
..cut out the trek altogether,
and take an air-conditioned jungle taxi ride to their next campsite,
where, unbeknownst to the fortune-seekers,
another temptation awaits.
How amazing was last night?
I had the best night.
Oh, we've got water, guys. Oh, it's not that deep!
Well, it's about to get deeper.
Is it cooling on the feet?
Yeah, that's nice.
I wouldn't underestimate today. Today's going to be hard.
The three groups will meet up later today,
but only after they have all faced the taxi temptation.
Guys...
Is there water here? Oh, my God, there's a temptation, guys.
Oh, my God! Already?!
I think we've got a temptation there.
Here we go. Oh, no. That's a quick one.
Ooh! Are you ready, guys?
This has got to be something amazing, yeah?
Ooh.
So, "Today's route is one of the hardest,
"at 6.5km long."
That's, like, four miles. Yeah. TOMASZ: That is a lot.
IMANI: So, four miles is...
That's the furthest we've ever been.
"Up ahead are river crossings, slippery rocks and leeches."
Leeches?
Are the leeches the ones that,
like, suck your blood and stuff like that?
Yeah, the black things. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And apparently, if it gets you on an artery, don't pull it off,
because you'll just bleed out.
But other than that, they're sweet.
My biggest fear out here is leeches. OK.
The thought of getting one on me just freaks me out.
"If you want an easier way to your next camp,
"this is your last chance to turn back and jump into
"an air-conditioned taxi,
"ready to take you straight to the end."
It's not going to be cheap.
£1,000 per person.
Per person?! No-brainer - that's a no-brainer.
Quite pricey, if you think about it.
Oh, my God. That's...
If they all take that, that's a lot of money.
Yeah, 1,000's not that much
out of everyone's prize pot, don't you think?
Well, I feel really good today. I do. Yeah.
Let's go.
Yes, team, that's the bloody spirit.
It's up to you. What do you want to do? Right, let's go.
Let's face the leeches, then. Let's go.
It's not the distance that concerns me more, it's the leeches,
because that's actually been my fear since I was a kid.
Are you guys going to take the temptation?
What do you think?
VICKI: I took the glamping, so the group might have something to say.
I need to think.
The fortune-seekers have been split into three groups
for the past 24 hours.
While two of the groups have resisted a pricey taxi ride
to their next camp,
Imani and Vicki's group is still to decide.
We all know my limits.
I'm going to end up more of a hindrance in there...
..than out here.
I know it's money lost, and I'm sorry, but...
Are you guys going to take the temptation?
I'm going to have to,
because I'm going to make your life hell in there. I know I am. Yeah.
We're going. We're taking the air-conditioned taxi.
Yeah, we are. Come on, girl!
Let's wave them off. Ah!
As soon as the taxi was put on offer,
and me seeing the distance,
I knew I had to take it.
Be safe!
If I get a stick, I'm honestly not bothered.
Like, I just don't care.
I'm here to do what I need to do, and what I want to do.
Let's go and enjoy the air-con, babe.
Yeah, absolutely. I'm so excited.
That temptation shocked me.
Vicki had so much energy this morning. Yeah, she did.
She was, like, so happy.
While Vicki and Imani are fast-tracked
straight to their next campsite,
the rest of the group are about to be reunited
to take on their toughest trek yet.
Oh, my God! Ah!
Oh, my God, you're here!
I knew it'd be just you two.
Did you take the temptation last night?
Nah, nah. What about you? Did you take the temptation?
What do you think? Yeah. Do you think we did? What about...?
I think you did. You think I did?
Because you was gagging to get in that group. Nah, nah.
I didn't take it. You didn't?!
Nope. No, I swear, I swear. Fucking fair play, girl.
And neither did Imani. The only person... No!
The only person that took it was Vicki, because she needed it.
TOMASZ: She had a nice bed, she had nice food,
recharged the batteries. Did it work?
Erm... Hmm.
TRISH: No, because she's fucking taken the temptation today.
It's just taking the piss, isn't it? It is, isn't it?
NATHANIEL: We are going to have to draw a line in the sand,
and get Vicki to kind of, you know, challenge herself physically.
She needs to go home.
No, she needs to go home, that's what she does.
HENRY: Let's just leave it for now, and we'll all get a move on.
Vicki's taken as much as Imani now. I know.
If she carries on with this habit,
she will have easily spent a third of the prize fund,
all on herself.
THOM: We're, like, five days in.
She's now racking a bill up.
Do you know what I mean? It's like... Exactly.
She's a lovely person, but I'm getting sick of it.
I'm not really much of a spender. I'm more of a saver.
My parents just... They taught me the value of money,
and how it's meant to be treasured, and not to,
like, just be a bit reckless with it.
People do sometimes see me as a tight-arse,
but I don't really care.
I'll hopefully get as much money at the end without people, like,
taking the piss out of it.
SAM: I don't trust Vicki at all.
She continued to spend my money... without any consideration.
That's incredibly unfair.
The fact that Imani and Vicki have taken this temptation is pathetic.
I mean, why come to the jungle if you're going to keep taking taxis?
Most of the group are still only halfway through
their gruelling trek.
I know what they might be craving after a hard day in the jungle...
..an ice-cold pint in a British pub.
If only we had one.
To quench our fortune-seekers' thirst,
we've constructed this,
The Nag's Head,
full of classic pub grub.
We've got burgers, fish and chips,
and, of course, a classic pint.
But, with prices ranging from £200 for a can of pop
to over a grand for a main meal,
if anyone indulges, there could be trouble.
IMANI: Did you have a little nap in the taxi?
VICKI: I did.
Ahead of their team-mates, Imani and Vicki are about to arrive.
Oh, my gosh. There's a temptation, girl.
Oh, shit.
Stop! There's a pub.
Oh, my gosh. It's called The Nag's Head!
Oh, my God, oh, my God!
Oh, my God, oh, my God, oh, my God!
VICKI LAUGHS EXCITEDLY
Oh, my God!
No food - there's no food. Oh, shit, there is!
There's a burger.
Let's look at the menu. Cheesy chips -
they've got cheesy chips. LAUGHING: Fuck off!
They've got cheesy chips!
Fuck.
THOM: Watch your footing, your right foot.
TRISH: Cor, there's shitloads of ants down here.
Oi, oi, oi! Fucking hell.
You all right? Yeah.
We've got loads of leeches here.
Oh, yeah, look at them.
Oh, my God. I've got another leech on my leg!
And another one. What the heck?
This is ridiculous! Oh, sorry.
The leeches are rife.
They're absolutely everywhere.
They're crawling up your legs,
crawling up your boots. They're just flicking along. I...
Ugh, yeah, they give me the heebie-jeebies,
to be honest with you.
Ah, you fucking... One of them's in my fucking pubes.
Oh!
Have you got one down your winkie?!
It's fucking stuck, the bastard.
Leave, you m... Oh, you....
It's on my fucking finger, the bastard! Get out.
I'm thinking, if I was to have, like, cheesy chips,
instead of the expensive meals...
Yeah.
..do you think that's sensible or not?
I do think it's very sensible.
Or do you think they're going to hate me,
cos I've just took a temptation after a temptation?
Babe, we're all here for different reasons,
and some of us are here for experience.
Eat, please! Eat, girl.
Oh, here comes the river. Oh!
Fuck's sake.
Oh, there's swimming spiders! There's swimming spiders!
It's leech heaven.
Have you got your socks tucked in, and your shirt tucked in?
Yeah, I think so.
We've got enough leeches in the camp.
Right, ladies, what can I get you?
Oh, God!
Can I get some cheesy chips, please?
Absolutely, course you can.
Can I have a really large portion, please?
I'll speak to the kitchen.
Extra cheese. Like, don't let the cheese melt.
I like it to be on top.
I've not eaten in four days.
I'm not going to be able to survive if I don't eat.
This is the most expensive portion of chips
I am ever going to have in my life!
SAM: Ugh!
Ooh!
Oh, big spider! Big spider!
Where's the spider? Under them leaves there.
Whoa, that is really deep there!
Oh, it's cold, as well!
Whoa!
Oh, wow, thank you.
Well saved, Nat.
DAVID: Seems like a never-ending trek, to be honest.
I think this is the longest one that we've had to do, as well.
So...I wish I took the taxi now.
Here you go. Sorry about the wait. Oh, stop. They look amazing!
They're crinkle-cut chips, as well!
And they did the cheese just how I like it.
Your sauces. Oh, my God. Thank you, thank you.
I'm not even being polite. Like, thank you.
Oh, my God. Stop.
VICKI CHUCKLES
I'm so happy.
I'm going to eat every last bit. I hope so!
I'm going to be so bloated.
The group are lovely. They know that I've not eaten.
Honestly, I think they'll understand.
HENRY: Today's trek was one of the longest.
A lot of leeches.
We've worked hard to get to where we are.
I'm really hoping that Imani and Vicki
have started setting up the camp,
so we don't have to do too much when we arrive.
They're nice. And they look crispy.
They're actually cooked just how I like them. Perfect.
It's very dry without a drink, though, I'm not going to lie.
Really?
Fuck. IMANI SNIGGERS
Can I get a coke, please?
OK, then, I'll get a Fanta, please. Yeah.
Oh, my God. What's that?
Oh, my God, that looks a pub.
That's a boozer. The Nag's Head.
What the...? Are you eating chips?!
Oh, shit.
They're not eating something else?
Oh, what?
Hey. Are we eating chips, yeah?
Lazy fucker.
Sitting there, stuffing her face with fucking cheesy chips.
After their toughest trek yet,
the group has discovered Imani and Vicki,
having just blown two grand on a taxi,
are now indulging in yet another temptation.
My theory was, I was only having a side, instead of a main.
TOMASZ: Oh, my God. This is hilarious.
I didn't have the main.
She got cheesy chips, which was a side,
and the cheesy chips are 600,
and we've got two drinks coming.
That's amazing. How much are the drinks, guys?
Oh. There's the price.
"Rose, spirits, red wine.
"Soft drinks - £200."
Oh, my God!
THOM: That's embarrassing, mate. She's a joker.
I just think it's a bit of a piss-take.
Like, she didn't even do the trekking today. No.
So, why do you think she deserved a little treat?
Vick, that's bad, cos all the people that's helping you,
yeah, all the people that's trying to motivate you in a nice way...
Don't guilt-trip me! I'm not guilt-tripping you.
I feel shit enough, trust me.
I've made it quite clear, I'm going to have to get help.
I need food - I'm not eating.
Get help? Everyone's fucking helping you. He's carrying your bag, bruv.
You're not feeding me. I can't eat the rice!
It's rice! What do you mean, you can't eat rice?
I'm starving, I'm dying for it.
You can take food, as well, Thom!
But I'm not going to let these people pay for my food.
I work for my stuff.
It's starting to feel shitty when people aren't taking it seriously.
Like, the rest of the group is grafting.
Is this going to be a continuous thing,
where you're not going to come on the treks if they look hard,
or if they sound hard, and then, we're going to take the treats,
because we haven't eaten?
You know how it looks.
I'm not going to take food every time, of course I'm not.
I'm not a bitch.
We've just come off this, like, crazy hike.
You see Vicki sitting there,
picking up these cheese-covered chips
and shoving them down her throat.
Just spend on top of spend, on top of spend.
The way I look at it, right, my missus is sitting at home,
looking after my little boy,
and I'm feeding some lazy fucker
to get through the jungle for two weeks.
I find it disrespectful.
SAM: They didn't do the trek today,
Vicki took the temptation last night,
and now, she's sitting there, eating chips.
I would be absolutely ashamed of myself if I did that.
TOMASZ: I would love to have a pint of beer.
IMANI: Do you want one? If you want one...
You know what? I'm going to treat myself.
Why not? I'm not going to... Treat yourself, darling.
I'll cheers to you.
It'd be nice to have a beer or something.
Do it. Fuck it.
Can I please have a pint of Guinness?
Absolutely, coming right up.
Thank you very much. That's fantastic.
Thank you. I will wait, thank you.
I decided to have a Guinness, because I've heard
so many, like, nasty things, really,
that was kind of like the cracking point for me,
and I wanted to support Vicki.
It's probably the most expensive beer I've had in my life,
but there you go.
Oh, my God, this is like a five-star.
THOM: Is that Guinness?
TOMASZ: Cheers, guys.
SAM: Pathetic.
TOMASZ: Oh, my God.
NATHANIEL: Listen, when I first came here, I gave everyone respect.
Certain people have lost that.
Tomasz just takes whatever the fuck he wants.
You don't think I want a fucking steak right now, bro?
The way I look at it, as a team player,
if I'm having a steak, I've got to times it by 11 in my head.
You lot just think, "Oh, yeah, it's this much of 300K."
You're treating yourself on the expense of the team.
TOMASZ: Let me explain this.
I took this because this experience is actually putting myself first.
You took the one in the pool, yeah?
NATHANIEL: Cool. And you gave this speech,
so I've heard it already.
You're weak, pathetic.
You're like her, and you're like her.
You're just weak.
Do you know what? I'm not even too pissed at Tom,
because he was actually on the trek.
But you - I don't want to hear anything from you
I don't want to hear anything from you.
Well, I don't care what you want to hear.
Stop acting so shocked.
I consider people who push their
views on other people as selfish.
If that continues,
people 100% just start taking things for the sake of it.
SAM: Vicki, what's your excuse for the chips tonight, then?
What's my excuse? I've not eaten in four days, babe.
You ate last night.
And what was the excuse for not taking the trek today?
It said, "This is the hardest one. It is the longest and hardest."
Then you should have gone home, shouldn't you, if you can't do it?
You're weak. I AM weak!
You're weak and pathetic! I tell everyone I'm weak!
I've said that from day one, babe. Then what did you come here for?!
To test myself, which is what I'm doing! Oh, God, yeah.
You could have done that on a treadmill in the gym. I'm sorry!
You knew full well, before arriving here,
that you were going to be trekking for eight hours a day.
And you knew full well that other people would be in charge of
the prize pot, and you still came.
I'm not talking to you, witch.
I've said from day one, "I've had a shock.
"I didn't think it was going to be this hard."
I've had a reality check. But you're sitting there with chips,
gloating in front of everyone who's just done 7.5km.
I'm not gloating!
She's trying to eat, and no-one will actually let her,
because you keep asking her questions.
She wants to eat her chips, and no-one will let her.
So let her eat her chips. Oh, shut up, Imani!
No-one wants to listen to you!
DAVID: Guys, guys, guys, guys... Pathetic!
Guys, let me let me say something, yeah?
In the name of Jesus, let me say something!
I think, yeah, if no-one else is going to eat or drink,
just vacate the pub.
IMANI: Oh, thank you so much, David.
DAVID: So, we can have some water, and some beans and rice in the camp,
and let them do their thing in peace,
and talk to them later on if you've got gripes and you're upset.
IMANI: David! DAVID: So, let's move out, guys.
SAM: How dare they just continue to blow all of the money?
What a lazy, unmotivated, selfish person that is.
NATHANIEL: There needs to be some kind of punishment
for not considering the group.
No-one's, like, buying your stories any more.
He needs to grow a pair. He...
I have no respect for that man - no respect.
The more we allow this behaviour to go unpunished,
the more this disease will spread throughout the group.
They're still in the pub.
What's stopping them from having another round?
What time does the pub close?
Next time on Tempting Fortune...
You're coming across as a bitch. I don't care.
I don't need people to tell me to stay or go.
If I see one more temptation taken, game on.
Tomasz has not been honest.
I got offered a doughnut.
Oh, my God.
Of course I didn't take it!
If you're greedy, and you're happy with that, that's fine.
£300!
TOMASZ: This is what's going to get us through.
Smoked salmon, avocado and eggs! Happy days!
