[Adam] To rescue ourselves, I have a crazy...

I have a really crazy plan.

It's pretty clear now, there's either a signal tower,

there's something bloody important

in the middle of this map.

It is absolutely imperative that we get there,

check it out.

I think we're gonna need to send a team by land,

we're gonna send a team by water, because that's gonna

give us the best chance to scout this out.

[Darrin] Where are we right now?

[Patrick] Right now, we are here.

Oh, my God.

[narrator] From their current camp,

the island lies 12 miles away by sea, around two peninsulas.

A shorter eight-mile land route through thick jungle and over

steep ridges reaches a beach

with the island just 100 yards offshore.

Yeah, I know, that's why --

This is gonna take a couple of days.

-Couple days. -Not everyone's gonna make it.

[Patrick] How would you want to go?

For the best chances of rescue,

because no one's coming. No one is coming.

[Jarrell] You know we're shipwrecked,

so there's no one coming to rescue us.

We're just on a [bleep] island, there's nothing around us.

And we got a lot of strategizing to do

before this is done.

We're gonna have to make some hard decisions about who goes

by land and who goes by water.

I don't know, maybe we might even need people

to stay here to like...

They stay here and freaking signal fire.

But our strongest hikers hike, our strongest paddlers paddle.

It's divide and conquer, and it's gonna be

an endurance feat that is gonna freaking destroy people.

-Yeah. -Yeah.

[Darrin] There better be a way to signal rescue

or else everyone's gonna fail.

I mean, I don't know how we're gonna pull this off.

On day one of this 35-day challenge...

Oh!

[alarm beeping]

-Holy [bleep]. -Go!

Move!

Four teams plunged into the darkness.

-Bottoms up! -Oh, my gosh.

Yeah, we are shipwrecked.

And have been stranded on

remote islands in the Philippine Sea.

[echoing] Hello!

With only partial pieces of a map.

-Oh, wow. -Partial.

It's different.

And the remnants of those who have tried

to survive there.

Whoa, look at this.

-And failed. -This is so creepy.

This place is really cursed.

Now, with one week left...

-Whoa, oh my God. -We're not alone.

Let's go!

...the eight remaining survivalists have come together

to try to reach a distant island they hope holds

the secret to their rescue.

-Oh, wow, is that an island? -Oh my God!

We gotta work out who's gonna be strongest by water

and who's gonna be strongest by land.

-Who needs to stay and keep -- -Stay here.

Yeah.

[Patrick] I think I'm like the best swimmer here

and I'm also the best hiker.

If I feel honest, I'm pretty good on my feet and I've got

a lot of endurance.

I would only be good on a raft.

I would hold people back on feet.

[Jarrell] I'm definitely a lander.

[Adam] I would be happy to do the land team,

and maybe I think that probably could be best just two people.

And whoever gets to that shore inland, if you're headed to

that point, you still have to be able to swim to that island

when you get there. -Yeah.

[Darrin] Because what if the raft never makes it?

-On what? -What if there's a big current

out there that takes you the opposite direction?

We're not paddling cross-current in a raft.

It might be six solid hours of

nonstop paddling without a rest.

-Maybe eight hours. -I'm super comfortable with that.

If I weren't here, I should be paddling on kayak.

It's not the same than a raft.

Like, here's the thing, no one can get their feelings upset.

Whoever has the least endurance and strength needs to

stay here, period. And that is no harsh feelings.

Whoever cannot have endurance and who has the least amount of

strength does not go. Boom.

Who's still got enough in the tank left to be able to do

that with me? -I saw him do pull-ups.

-Only if you want to do it. -No, I'm down.

-I think that's smart. -You're willing?

-Yes. -Or you and Tricky.

Hell yeah, brother.

-And you and I are paddling. -Yeah.

[Darrin] Out on the water, Patrick and I are

the strongest team for a mission this dangerous.

If one person stops paddling, then you're just getting sucked

out by the sea and those currents.

We're going to need whoever's left.

Ladies, we're still gonna need you to signal from here.

Have a signal, SOS, you know, fires on the beach.

Ready to go.

We need fire piles ready with tinder stacked all the way up

with green wood for smoke.

You only got 30 seconds from hearing a plane

until it's gone. -[Mandy] We have a plan.

We're gonna have our two fastest

and strongest hikers going out.

That's Jarrell and Adam.

We're gonna have our two fastest rowers and swimmers,

Darrin and Patrick.

And then we're gonna have us four ladies standing here

as the SOS team.

I, for one, am honored to be part of the SOS team.

We have the survival skills to do what we have to do.

Throughout this challenge, you know firsthand how to

master the fire,

so I know you've got that. -We do.

[Ana Lis speaking]

[Adam] All right, I think, you know, it's a pretty rock-solid plan.

It's gonna be bloody savage,

but I think this is what needs to happen to get us to rescue.

The fact we have to ensure our own rescue, it just goes to

show how hardcore this challenge is.

We're not rocking up to some random truck

that's waiting for us.

We have to get out there right now

and we have to find our own rescue.

[Ally] We do need to process that taro that was harvested.

Oh, we're also going to need to boil some water.

We have our big group together for our first full day as

a team of eight.

And every person is going to need to pull their weight.

You know, Darrin and I are getting this raft put together.

Might be good to take apart Dani and Jamie's raft.

We could use that...

bamboo for burning firewood.

Could be good for like, potentially having like

as a signal fire.

-OK. -Hey, Tricky, I need you.

Oh, I gotta go.

[Ally] This plan kind of rubs some of us the wrong way.

Ana Lis, in particular, is really not liking this plan.

I can totally see where she's coming from.

I mean, I know me personally,

I would like to go as a scout as well.

Like I love and value adventure.

I'm feeling strong, I'm feeling fit.

But the reality is, is that whoever is the strongest

and the fastest and the most capable should be the ones

to go out and scout.

[Ana Lis] So, I would love to be in the raft, but...

I'm here to grab some coconuts and grab some firewood.

So we got our plans intact, and every team plays

a crucial role in getting rescued.

We're already getting a good start on game planning.

I think, you know, dividing and conquering.

[Jarrell] I'm just so happy I'm part of one of the scout teams

because I finally get to, you know, bring my strengths to

the table and show everyone what I'm made of.

-What's your plans with that? -Knock down some coconuts.

We are going to be doing a lot of work in the next coming days

to be able to pull this off.

Absolute secret weapon for starting fires, this stuff.

This big hike and big ocean scout mission

that we have to do, we're gonna need a lot of resources.

We do not have much time left

to get the bloody hell out of here,

and we need to do that ASAP.

[Adam] I know Jarrell's team abandoned him,

but Jarrell, he just go, go, goes, doesn't stop.

He seems like the Energizer Bunny.

That's what I am good at. I'm good at strength.

-Here, let me show you. -[Adam] You know, he spent time here.

He knows this place inside and out.

[Jarrell] You got to earn it. You got to earn it.

Jamie and Dani, they didn't earn it with me.

[Adam] I was thinking, now we'll just gather up what we got,

head back, have a feed. -[Jarrell] Yup.

[Adam] I think for now, I'm gonna put my trust in Jarrell.

And ultimately, I guess we'll see what happens.

This is when all that gym work comes into play.

Get your ass in the gym.

[Patrick] This is gonna be a difficult journey.

-Through here. -Through here?

Just pull through, then yeah.

[Patrick] You're gonna need your toughest legends out there

to try to get rescue on the Philippine Sea.

And everyone knows Darrin and I are the two people

best suited for the raft mission.

I've been out there in this [bleep].

[grunts] My quads are cramping up.

Oh, my God.

[Patrick] It is hard.

[Ally] This is gonna be a long journey, man.

[Darrin] We got to make this boat seaworthy.

And to make a boat seaworthy, it has to be constructed well,

lashed firm and tight.

I like making just the very ends a little bit burlier

because it'll take the waves. -[Patrick] Mm-hmm.

[Darrin] Like, I don't know how far we got to paddle.

I know I want something secure,

and we need 100% efficiency out here.

Darrin and Patrick's design consists of a lightweight

bamboo platform, narrow enough

to alternate sides while paddling.

An outrigger on each side will provide stability,

and six life rings will be attached underneath

for maximum flotation.

[Darrin] Bamboo alone won't hold your body weight.

This thing's only as wide as the buoys are, so we can lash

the buoys to it for buoyancy, plus two round floats that

washed up on shore.

That way, hopefully Patrick and I are sitting up almost

above the surface of the water.

[Patrick] I feel that sun just ripping on my back right now.

[Darrin] Yeah. You want to take a break?

[Patrick] Yeah. Yeah.

This Lost Coast, it gets so hot.

Patrick and I, we trust each other and we are great friends.

We developed that trust and that friendship through

competing against each other.

It's very odd, but we are a team that works together well

and we know neither one of us will quit.

Our endurance and our enthusiasm are unmatched.

We got to make this boat seaworthy.

Failure is not an option.

Like our lives are on the line out there.

[Malu] I think the SOS team is so important.

We need to have a strategic meeting first before we start

making piles and stuff. -Yeah.

Yeah, we definitely need to really make sure that everyone

knows exactly what they're doing. -Mm-hmm.

I think that even just starting with little things,

like collecting the coconuts and starting to clean up

shop, and honestly, we should probably designate

our piles today so that way, little by little, we can just

start adding wood to each.

We're having three large ones, correct?

Yeah.

With their signal fires, the SOS team plans to build

three six-foot-tall bamboo pyres arranged in a straight

line across the beach, which is the international distress sign

for wilderness rescue, and hope to create enough smoke

to be seen from 15 miles away.

-[Ana Lis] Mandy. -[Mandy] Yeah.

[Ana Lis] The other day in front of the other people,

I think you said something without thinking so much.

You said something like, "The weakest we came

here and the strongest and the fastest go there."

And I think that could...

I get what you're saying. And that's not what I meant.

And I'm sorry if it came out that way.

What I meant is strictly strategic.

There's nothing, no rhyme or reason.

Our two fastest hikers, they go.

I don't think there's anything sexist about it.

I don't think that there's anything

that's gonna make us look weaker.

I don't think that, but I respect the fact

that you do. -[Ana Lis] Mm-hmm.

We're allowed to disagree, like ego aside,

and it just came out.

[Malu] I think all three teams are hero teams.

And labeling the other two teams as heroes

and the third team as not a hero team is wrong.

-Yes it is. -And you're saying that the people that stay at home

and raise children is not as important?

SOS team, the hiking team, the water team,

we are all equally important.

And I mean it and I will stand by that from day one

to freaking day 35 and I mean it.

[Ana Lis speaking]

and that is crazy, because I know that every woman here

can do that hike, every woman here can do that paddle,

and that is the message that I want to leave here.

I don't care if you are mad or not.

[Patrick] You know, right now, Darrin and I are getting

nervous because the SOS team has just been

bickering amongst themselves.

Being at odds with each other could cost us rescue out here,

and that's kind of scary.

It's mid-noon, not a bottle of water has been boiled,

no taro has been collected. They're just bickering.

We need food, we need water.

We got three days left, we need to get out of here.

It ain't gonna happen sitting in a circle

talking about your feelings.

Like, I don't know what happened.

It was ridiculous.

You know, the lady's got lady drama, and it's Ana Lis

that wants to be on the boat.

And I don't care if she's a guy or a girl.

Ana Lis is the only person with a problem with the group

decision on who's doing what,

because she won't put her ego to the side.

And it's making a mess here now.

Male, female, that [bleep] does not come into factor here.

It is like, who is going to be best suited for each role to

make this rescue happen?

Because I don't want to be responsible for [bleep] this up.

Every time she has a blowout, she quits working for the rest

of the day and pouts and cries.

And if that happens to the SOS team...

Yeah, we're gonna have to make some hard decisions.

Because this [bleep] is not gonna work.

[Darrin] I don't care if she's a guy or a girl.

Ana Lis is the only person with a problem

with the group decision on who's doing what,

because she won't put her ego to the side.

Yeah.

And it's making a mess here now, and other people have to

pick up the slack when that happens.

And if that happens to the SOS team...

Yeah, we're gonna have to make some hard decisions

because this [bleep] is not gonna work. -Yep.

Some people won't let [bleep] go

and we need to be prepared to fix this.

[Adam] All this concern among the teams about our plan

has really got me thinking.

And you know, we're here to bloody try to rescue ourselves,

but as a whole, this team, we're starting to fall apart,

and I realized, you know,

maybe I just need to change my strategy.

[Mandy] How you feeling?

[Adam] Good, I thought I'd just come quickly check on you

before I headed back to camp. -[Mandy] OK.

-How you doing? -[Mandy] Ah, Adam...

While you guys were gone, there was a whole 'nother

conversation about all the [bleep].

And it's like she's all about, like,

trying to show this woman-power.

No matter what job we have,

it's all strong. -[Adam] Yeah.

As I've said, and you know what I'm like,

this isn't about... -[Mandy] Yeah.

Like men, women, male, female,

we are all survivalists. -[Mandy] No, right.

-We all have a very crucial role to play. -[Mandy] Yes.

And there's a reason we're trying to pick certain people.

-Correct. -It's like the wrong decision right now,

and we are all screwed. -It's crucial!

We are all screwed.

These challenges are based on skill,

experience, and communication.

And Mandy and I, we work that well together.

We don't even need to talk.

I just want you to know, Mandy,

you and I came in, Team JAM.

I want to finish this thing strong.

Team JAM, you and I are the strongest team out here.

-Yeah. -And that's why I can see me and you working together.

Land Scout team, I think that's the way it's got to be.

Like, you know, take some time, rest, think about it.

If you have any gas left in the tank,

I want you with me at the end.

You know, Mandy, she's been struggling a little bit,

if I'm completely honest, but ultimately I know

we've both been struggling this whole challenge.

And through thick or thin, we always work it out.

You know, I would prefer you to come with me.

[Mandy] I gotta think about it.

Any decision we make now is literally the make-or-break

of us getting rescued.

After taking the day to really see what's going on,

you know, I think Mandy and I, we came in as Team JAM.

Mandy, you are the best option to come with me.

Like, we work so well,

and I know that you are who I need to have out there.

[Mandy] I can't lie and tell you that I'm not nervous.

You know, because it's gonna be really hard.

Every hike we've done has been really hard.

It's been very physically taxing.

You know, I'm nervous,

is my body gonna want to keep up?

Um...

-You believe in me. -[Adam] Yeah.

-Everybody here believes in you. -Yeah.

And I promise you that I will rest, I will eat, I will rest,

I will hydrate, and I won't let you guys down.

-Thanks. -Oh, dang.

And then the more I thought about it, like, Jarrell

is really gonna be needed here on the SOS team.

And I think Jarrell, with his skill,

his power, damn, man, you know what I mean?

Like seeing you out there, bringing in food,

and honestly, man, I have so much [bleep] respect for you, man.

You're a machine. Like that's the only way I can really describe you.

[Jarrell] And I would love to bring that power and that strength

to the SOS team, man.

And like I said, wherever I'm needed, that's what I'm willing

to do, man, to get us to that rescue, you know?

-Should we take a vote? -I really appreciate that.

-Well -- -No.

So can we all just, like, does everyone feel comfortable

with what we've just come up with?

Like, does everyone feel strong about the teams

and where they're at? -We're already -- yeah.

-Because I feel good with that. -Yeah, me too.

I know that we all have to come together to be rescued.

[Jarrell] No matter if it's SOS team,

no matter if it's the water scout team or the land scout team,

we all got the same mission. -You got it, huh?

-You got it. -Oh, I got goosebumps.

We can do it all.

[Malu] I'm ready. I'm ready to get rescued.

[Darrin] We're a month into this challenge, and some people

have been starving.

Mandy, like, she's lost,

like, probably 30 pounds of muscle.

-Let's get the bloody hell out of here. -I know.

[Darrin] Going out for rescue is the biggest risk,

the most responsibility.

But in my opinion, she is not in shape for the task ahead.

I hope I'm really wrong.

[Ally] We're gonna go on our taro collecting mission

and boil some water.

In order to get rescued, it's really gonna take

everything that we have to pull this off.

We need food, we need taro.

One of those nuts has about 1,400 calories.

That's a lot of energy and that's gonna sustain us

through the rest of this challenge.

You know, in the beginning she was feeling kind

of disempowered, but me and Ana Lis, we go into

the swamp taro patch and we are wrangling these guys.

Kind of like loosen up all that mud.

[grunting]

[Ana Lis] Here you go girl!

[both] Yee-hoo!

Yes!

Look at how big it is!

It's awesome!

Women of the swamp!

All right Jarrell,

I got the raft as close as I could.

Let me help you load that.

[Patrick] It's crunch time to get ready for rescue.

We have to combine all our skills and stay fed,

and we need to be able to keep our strengths up,

and the best way we can keep our strength up

is by me bringing in food.

Let's go!

[Darrin] This place has so many resources.

We just need to smash it hard, get as much grub as we can.

Because it might take us two days to get

our rescue in motion. -[Malu] That's my SOS team!

-Whoo! -Oh, yeah.

[Ally] We can function as a well-oiled machine,

all eight of us, to find rescue. -[Malu] Beautiful.

[Ally] But we've got our work cut out for us here.

Everyone's gonna do everything that they can to

get us the hell out of the Lost Coast.

[Jarrell] Patrick, this guy man,

he's killing it in the sea. Making me jealous.

I'm like, "Bro, I gotta get out there."

And I gotta bring a sack back too, man.

I gotta provide, man.

Right now, Darrin is cooking up my catch.

[Darrin] This is the biggest protein score that any of us have had

this entire challenge.

[Patrick] And then out of the water comes Aquaman.

-[Jarrell] Couple of things. -[Patrick] Whoo!

We eating good in the neighborhood tonight!

Come on, baby! Come on, I'm just like Pat.

[Mandy] What's that fish taste like?

[Patrick] You should find out yourself.

I just wanted you guys to grab some first because you worked

harder this morning. -[Patrick] It's a team effort.

Everyone's working in their own way.

[Darrin] Right now, we need fuel in our tanks,

and our bodies need those calories.

[Patrick] That's that big boy.

-Did everyone get meat? -I didn't get a conch.

-I got one chunk of conch. -Here.

Now, we have an ungodly amount of taro.

So, we've got plenty for us tonight.

We're gonna be sending our scouts away with some

tomorrow, keeping enough for us to have for the next two days.

So, our food needs are pretty much met at this point.

-This is amazing! -It's incredible!

It's a real lunch, and everybody's gonna be full.

That blows my mind!

[Malu] We all have our missions.

We all seem very prepared.

People wanna talk about heroes and talk about this team

and this team. No, you know what?

This family came together and this family

is about to get rescued!

[Darrin] We got our stuff packed.

We just got to lash it onto the boat now.

We can only carry so much water and so much supplies.

A few coconuts and a pot of water is not a lot,

especially there's no guarantee that we can replenish those

supplies at all out here. -You got this.

You are one of the strongest survivalists,

survivalist that I know.

You know, you know, I truly believe that.

You know, me and Mandy, we have so much in common.

She started off as a fan, and it's a special connection.

I mean, honestly, she's greater than what she even knows

what she is, I think.

I think you and Adam are gonna make the perfect team

for that land trek. -We are the perfect team.

I think so too.

Adam and I are taking off on foot.

Patrick and Darrin, they're taking off on the raft.

The SOS team is staying back and holding down the fort.

And we don't know what's gonna happen.

And I think that's the scariest part.

It's gonna take such a tremendous amount of effort

just to get there.

And imagine getting there and finding nothing.

When you're already just completely wiped out.

Emotionally, physically, all of those things.

With a heat index likely to exceed 100 degrees,

the sea team plans to hug the coast around the first

peninsula to find a safe beach at the halfway point

to stay the night.

While the land team will cut across the peninsula through

a series of mangrove swamps before pushing into the thick

jungle and cresting a steep ridge by nightfall.

This is how we can say goodbye to each other,

build one last shelter together. -Yeah.

This time, it's a sun shelter.

I've got my shelter piece that I found in the jungle.

Now I'm gonna cut it in half

and give a piece to Patrick and a piece to me.

Oh yeah.

The crown, King Patrick.

It's gonna be the most brutal part of this journey,

is just dealing with that sun.

I want to say goodbye to my teammates.

We're the only team to make it whole this far.

-Yeah. -It's been such a pleasure.

Through the thick, through the thin,

through the typhoon, we're all still here together, so.

Yeah.

[Mandy] At this stage of the game, we've become a family.

And losing someone at this point would be devastating.

-Guess what? -What?

The next time I see you, hopefully we're

getting rescued. And it's going to be just fine.

We're going to have tears of happiness.

But we're ready to move on and see

what this last stretch brings us.

They have no idea what they're headed out for.

Patrick and I are going off into open water and sailing

into the unknown. -Let's rock and roll.

[Darrin] You don't know what's gonna happen.

We could get sucked way out into the open ocean

by a current.

Or we could get smashed against rocks.

Maybe a big shark takes an interest in us,

but that's the danger that we took on.

If this tower is in fact a way to communicate

with the outside world,

that is what is going to rescue us.

It's exciting, also scary.

We don't know what lies ahead of us.

[Patrick] We could get out there and this island could

be nothing. Nothing at all.

Really trying to like pay attention.

Ow.

-Stubbed my toe. -[Adam] Yeah, be careful.

[Mandy] Yeah.

-[Adam] That sun is scorching. -[Mandy] It's hot.

Whoo! Holy hot.

[Adam] We're not heading out to fail.

We're heading out to succeed and try to bring rescue back

for everyone else.

We're not gonna get it by sitting around doing nothing.

-Into the mangroves. -[Mandy] Yes.

One mile into their journey, Adam and Mandy enter

the mangrove swamps to continue west across the peninsula,

where the muddy standing water makes stingrays

and venomous box jellyfish difficult to spot.

[Mandy] Adam and I have been on so many hikes.

We have been through the ringer.

[gasps] Oh my god.

[Adam] This is definitely the most spiders I've seen

on a challenge. -[Mandy] I'm gonna have nightmares.

Holy [bleep]!

This is worst-case scenario.

This is my breaking point right here.

-[Adam] Holy crap, this is steep. -[Mandy] Oh my gosh.

There's the ocean right there.

-[Adam] So good. -It's right there.

[Mandy] Yeah, there is no doubt in my mind that this is going to be

the hardest hike yet, but we have no choice.

We have to signal help. We have to save our team.

And that right there is what's gonna keep me going.

Here we go, now we're in like the real midst of this [bleep].

And we can't even see where we're stepping.

[Adam] It's like walking through poo soup.

-[Mandy] Oh, yeah. -[Adam] That's putting it nicely.

-[Mandy] Whoa, OK. -[Adam] Slow and steady.

[Mandy] Yep, just ran into a stick.

-[Adam] Yeah. -[Mandy] We're good.

Oh, there's a jellyfish right there.

[Adam] Oh, [bleep] yeah, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

-That's a box jellyfish. -[Mandy] OK.

[Adam] That there will put you in a bloody coffin box.

Left, head left, keep walking, way, way, way.

-[bleep]. -[Mandy] OK, OK.

That would be the end of the challenge for us right now.

That would have been [bleep] all over, mate.

-My heart's like... -Yeah, nah.

...about to pump out of my chest.

[Adam] That's not just like getting knocked out of the challenge,

like tap out. That's like dead.

Like dead.

Well, I'm glad to be bloody getting out of that.

Me too.

-[Mandy] Oh, thank God. -[Adam] Bloody hell!

[Ally] These palm fronds are going to be the main fuel for the fires.

They're poking my nipples,

and there's ants crawling all over me.

That's all right. Rescue is more important.

Trying to find rescue, like, it's really scary.

Our scout teams, we don't know if we're gonna ever see

these people again.

We don't know if we're gonna find our way out of here.

[Jarrell] We're gonna make three SOS fire piles.

And Jamie and Dani, you know,

they built a rinky-dinky raft that didn't even float.

And I finally found a use for it.

So we're gonna make like a big Jenga.

Lincoln Logs, baby. Lincoln Logs.

This one is a beast.

Bougie Malu...

would not be able to do this.

The first night when I was dropped in a freaking ocean.

[multiple people screaming]

That's terrifying.

I doubted myself from day one.

-We have water flowing. -Whoo!

[Malu] But I put in the work.

From shipwrecked to this, I mean, come on.

Two miles into their journey, Darrin and Patrick have cleared

the tip of the first peninsula and are entering deeper ocean.

With currents working against them and waters teeming with

tiger and bull sharks, two of the most dangerous species

in the world, known for their sudden and often

unprovoked aggression, they account for roughly half

of all fatal human attacks.

So, we're stacking hot, burning palm fronds with layers of

slow-burning bamboo, and that combination should

give us a super long-lasting, highly-visible fire.

A lot of ants are gonna lose their life

to these towers.

We could be the ones that that signal rescue that goes out

and finds the scouts and that finally gets us

off the Lost Coast.

I want these more so where

it's going to be the fire goes up.

We already want it to be pretty hot to burn these.

The team plans to complete two of the three pyres by

nightfall, choosing to break down the materials of

the remaining shelters to build the final pyre in the morning.

This thing's like up to my shoulders.

A treacherous climb up and over a thick jungle ridge with

stretches of vertical grade over 40%.

we've been through the jungle before.

It was rough.

There's snakes, vipers, king cobras.

Common throughout the islands,

And its neurotoxic venom can lead to breathing failure

in less than 30 minutes.

[Mandy] I feel like all of our hikes and locations have prepped me

for this moment.

Hopefully, this can get us up and over the ridge.

People are probably worried about my endurance

and if I could keep up.

But I'm strong and I've made it this far

and I've got endurance.

or the confidence to do this.

If there's been any rainfall, it's gonna be channeled

back to SOS camp, that means it's more pressure

After their eight-mile journey the previous day,

Patrick and Darrin remain five miles from the island

where they hope to initiate rescue.

We might not have water or food at this island that

we're looking to get rescued on.

We could be setting ourselves up for a real bad situation,

using the last of our energy to try to get to this island.

Very strategically have the majority of our survival

This, my friends, is what I have been waiting

35 fricking days for.

That is the sound of a hotel room door closing.

And me finally being alone.

Now it's time to see my face in a mirror for the first time.

Oh my gosh. What the hell?

Oh, warm water. Oh, this feels good.

Oh, baby, this feels good.

I just got out of the shower, scrubbed my body, and that is

what my towel looks like still. So guess what I'm doing?

I'm about to hop right back in there and do it again.

Houston, we have a problem.

I waited 35 days to take a hot shower,

and I have no hot water.

What do I do? Do I take a cold shower?

A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do, I guess.

Oh my God!

[Adam] Since the shipwreck challenge finished,

life's pretty much got back to normal.

Although one cool announcement is

Samantha, my awesome partner from my 21-day challenge

in Africa, well, we're officially naked and afraid...

in a relationship.

And hopefully, the next time I'm shipwrecked, it would be

pretty bloody cool to see her out there.

It's been a while since I came back from the challenge.

And life has changes in ways I never expected.

My husband asked me to choose between "Naked and Afraid"

and our marriage.

Today I'm no longer a wife,

but I'm still a survivalist

because an Argentinian woman like me

never gives up on her passion.

I've made a major life decision after this challenge.

I am selling everything, and I'm transitioning to

a sailboat here over the next year.

Because being shipwrecked in the Philippines made me realize

I need more ocean in my life.

And not just a little ocean, I need the whole ocean.
