Next on Paranormal Caught on Camera.
An investigator in a Missouri cemetery...
...captures a dark entity on a tombstone.
When I slowed it down, I'm like, "Oh, my, that is creepy,"
and it don't look human either.
A young girl playing on her phone
catches a ghost...
...peeking in on her.
Just the way that it hovered over her, it definitely gave
me chills.
A home security camera in Tennessee
records a partially-manifested spirit...
...and even more paranormal footage you have to see...
Oh, thank you, I love you.
...to believe.
These days, many parents give their children cell phones,
primarily for safety and communication purposes,
but along with that peace of mind
comes worry
as to what their kids might be viewing online
when they aren't being monitored.
Or, in at least one case in Washington,
what their child might be capturing
with their phone's camera.
That was the concern of one young girl's uncle
who believes a video recorded by his niece
reveals something
that simply should not be there.
February 15th, 2023, Lake Forest Park, Washington.
A four-year-old named Ava is up late,
recording herself on her cell phone...
Alright.
...when,
just over her shoulder.
Don't miss it.
Did you see it?
Watch again,
as a featureless figure,
leans into frame on the left,
and then immediately
retreats, and as if that weren't disturbing enough,
seconds later...
...a noise as the figure returns momentarily
and seems to capture Ava's attention
before vanishing again.
Ava's uncle Matthew recalls when he and Ava's mother
discovered the video.
My name is Matthew, and this is my niece's video.
We were actually just going through photos on her phone,
trying to delete off memory and cleaning out her phone.
This video popped up and caught our attention.
I mean, it really kind of freaked me out.
At first, when it comes into the camera shot, you just see
it briefly.
And then I didn't think anything more of it,
but then when you see it come back into the camera shot
and her actually turn around and look at it,
is when we were like, whoa.
She actually sensed something was there.
Just the way that it hovered over her, it
definitely gave me chills.
And when they ask Ava if she remembers anything from
that night...
She just says that
she remembers thinking that
somebody had come into the room.
So she definitely sensed that it was there.
So what did Ava's cell phone capture that night?
This goes from cute and innocent to unsettling
real fast.
As a parent, this must be the moment where your kid's
screen time becomes your scream time.
To me, it seemed like whatever that figure is that enters from
the left side of the screen, it appears to be almost curious
to see what she's looking at.
And then it, you almost get the impression that it sees
itself appear in the camera and then pulls back away.
It just goes out of frame so fast.
And even that makes their hair stand up because,
you know, humans don't move that fast in that nature.
What's spooky about this is the actual detail of the face
when it comes back in for the second time.
It almost is as if it's shrouded.
It was like you could see the obvious eyes and cheeks
and chin and nose, but the mouth is missing, right?
It's almost obscured.
It's like the details of the face aren't there.
It's just implied.
And a lot of times when we're dealing with non-human energies,
they will kind of shapeshift into us the best way
they know how to interact with us.
It's like they created the human outline,
but none of the defining features.
I feel like we can't ignore the fact that we are hearing
other voices picked up on this recording that are not
emanating from the little girl.
She does not seem to be making the noise, but she does hear it
and responds to it.
So what was that that was causing that noise?
Matthew has an idea.
My dad passed about six years ago, so, I mean, it could have
been him coming back just to check on her, just to make sure
she was safe.
I don't know.
And while his niece was
initially scared by the footage she captured...,
...fortunately, now that several years have passed,
Ava doesn't seem to be too bothered by it.
We've received a lot of questions about what happens
when you die,
and, you know, we've had death in the family,
and so there are questions about, you know, "It could have
been grandma coming back to see me," or, you know,
"Was it grandpa that was coming back to see me?"
So she's definitely opened up a new world, I guess,
for her into that realm, so it's kind of neat to see.
Coming up, a home security camera in Tennessee
captures a partial
manifestation.
2 Depending on their own personal experiences,
those who have an ability for sensing the supernatural
either consider it to be a gift
or a burden,
because spirits can sometimes
be attracted to these individuals
and show up in their lives
for better...
...or worse.
Just ask one woman in Tennessee
whose capture of an entity passing through her hallway
was just par
for the course.
September 2nd, 2023. Walland, Tennessee.
Brandi Neely Burton has been having paranormal experiences
for most of her life.
From seeing shadow figures
to objects
being thrown across the room.
But tonight, her home security camera
catches something a little more
low-key.
Did you see it?
Watch again...
...as a translucent, headless figure
walks across her hallway,
which Brandi doesn't see until the following day
when she checks the footage
from her camera.
My name is Brandi, and this is my video.
I've had a few things throughout my lifetime happen,
and I think they're just some spirits that were just kind of
drawn to me.
And I've seen things since I was a little girl
and heard things.
So, we decided to put security cameras in the house just to
see what we find.
And I was just going through them, and I seen the shadow.
It's actually coming out of my bedroom and going
into the bathroom.
And to me, it looks like a lady or possibly a man, two
legs, a body, but you can see through it.
It's pretty scary, it's pretty wild,
but I was a little excited, actually, because I've captured
some things before, but nothing like this,
and it just kind of validated my experiences
whenever I see them.
This is the kind of evidence we love to see
in this field.
This is fantastic.
Literally, we're seeing what looks like
a full body apparition.
Everything but the head, which is interesting.
Shoulders, torso, legs, arms, all the way down.
However, translucent and almost oddly skeletal
in a way.
It's kind of unnerving how it looks.
If, in fact, this was a person in the house walking from room
to room across that hallway, I wouldn't expect it to show up
on video like this in this sort of misty apparition.
I mean, if it were a flesh and blood person, I would
expect maybe the camera would see them as more of a darker,
shadowy kind of a figure.
What's interesting as well is the time stamp says.
And most people are aware of that three to five,
that witching hour.
And a lot of researchers, paranormal and otherwise,
believe that this is a time when there is almost like this
liminal stage where spirits and ghosts, it's easier for
them to traverse between the spirit world
and the physical world and into our reality.
And so the timing of this just keeps on stacking up
and pointing in the direction that this is
a legitimate capture of a spirit.
And there's something else.
The apparition only appears on this particular camera,
and not a second one, which is pointed in the same direction.
These cameras are motion activated, so they're not
always running.
So the camera saw this and turned itself on.
But it was only on this camera.
We have another one.
It was in the bedroom, and it was coming out
into the hallway, and whenever you looked at that
camera, there was nothing.
So I don't think that camera even recognized it.
So if the second camera didn't pick up on it, one question I have is, why not?
Well, could it be that perhaps some of these anomalies
are unidimensional?
In other words, you have to be in the exact right position.
If you go to the left or go to the right, it disappears.
I've seen that actually quite frequently.
So has Brandi.
For nearly her whole life.
They just pass through.
I think if there's been one that's been kind of stable
throughout my lifetime, that's kind of followed me from
place to place.
So I get freaked out sometimes.
Sometimes it can be a very negative energy.
Sometimes they can get pretty scary and interfere with my
dreams and kind of interfere with my life a little bit.
But Brandi doesn't believe the figure in the hallway
has any malintent.
The lady that used to own the house
actually during this time
and they lived here for 40 years.
I kind of think it's her.
I don't think she's here all the time.
I think she just kind of came through or maybe a residual
part of her came through.
And as far as Brandi's concerned,
she's welcome to walk the halls
anytime.
Compared to most of my experiences, this was
definitely one of the most calmer.
I would always welcome her back,
if she wanted to come back and check on us again.
Coming up...
...did an investigator capture the Black Mist?
That's known to haunt a cemetery in Missouri.
2 There's a nearly 150-year-old cemetery in Missouri
where visitors have reported hearing children's voices,
seeing apparitions,
and even
a dark mist emitting from one of the graves,
activity which some believe has been stirred up by witchcraft
and rituals performed in the nearby woods.
After hearing the stories, a paranormal investigator went
there to see if she could reach out to some of
the disturbed deceased.
Is there anyone here who wants to talk to me?
And it seems at least one of them...
Can you show yourself?
...was willing to oblige.
January 2021, Imperial, Missouri.
Shannon Trump is a medium and has been exploring
Today, she is visiting St. Joseph's Cemetery.
They claim this cemetery
has malevolent and evil spirits in it.
So I thought I'd come check it out.
And she brought along an EMF meter
and a spirit box app to help any spirits communicate
with her.
Can you show me yourself?
You can talk into this camera
or into this machine I'm holding.
But though Shannon does manage to get a name on
her spirit box...
Michael?
Oh, there's a Michael.
Are you talking to me?
Her exploration reveals little else.
Is there anybody here?
Can you show yourself?
That is
until she's getting ready to leave.
Which grave is yours?
Did you see it?
Watch again,
as a dark shadow
appears on a gravestone,
then quickly retreats,
which Shannon doesn't see until
she's reviewing her footage later.
My name is Shannon, and this is my video.
At first, I'm like, "Oh, something's just blowing
in the wind," And then I looked at it, and I'm like,
"Well, it's not me because I'm in the shade."
And then when I slowed it down,
I'm like, "Oh my, that is creepy."
I just don't know what would have made that form.
And it don't look human either.
It could have been a shadow person.
I mean, I personally think it was.
Can you show yourself?
This isn't a hint of a shadow.
This is like an insanely obvious shadow form that moves
very clearly onto this stone and then back off of it again.
When I first saw the shadow, I tried to figure out if
perhaps it could be a tree casting the shadow or perhaps
a flag on a flagpole.
But there doesn't seem to be any breeze going on in
the trees that I see.
It's very rare to capture a shadow this dark, this solid,
in broad daylight.
That just doesn't typically happen.
Often see something like this.
So this is actually a pretty extraordinary find.
And it seems, whatever this shadow is,
is aware of Shannon's presence.
She asked for it to show itself...
Can you show yourself?
...and moments later, this shadow is captured
in front of that gravestone.
So there is a communication happening, and there is
a response or a reaction to her requesting for it to
show itself.
Can you show yourself?
That goes to show that it's intelligent because
it's giving her what she's asking for.
And it kind of coincides with one of the sightings of that
cemetery, which was people say it's a dark mist that comes
from a particular gravestone.
But at the end of the day, this could be, you know,
what that is, is this dark shadow on a headstone.
So, did Shannon capture evidence of the black mist
or any one of the other restless spirits known to haunt
St. Joseph's Cemetery?
While I think there might be something
to some cemeteries being haunted
with restless spirits that could be buried there,
more likely, I think it's the living that's bringing
in the activity, the energy, and maybe our own
attachments that we are essentially stirring up
the haunts in these hallowed grounds.
Cemeteries in general house all types of energy.
You have a place where you have thousands of people resting,
and these people walked all different types of lives.
I think it can drive all types of energy
and paranormal activity.
In this instance, Shannon's take is that
the energy she caught at the cemetery is decidedly
the dark kind.
I think it wanted to chase me out of there and scare me,
and it did kind of freak me out, I have to say.
And Shannon believes something
needs to be done about it.
I really wanted to go back and bring somebody with me
who can bless the place or maybe help the spirits
who are there find peace, because that's my goal when
speaking to human spirits, you know,
is to bring them some peace.
Which grave is yours?
Coming up, a cat feeder cam in Australia
captures a spirit
in a woman's living room.
2
As we've seen in previous cases,
certain professions lend themselves to experiencing
paranormal activity
a bit more than others,
like hotel staff,
funeral directors,
museum employees,
and of course, those in the medical field,
and while most of these experiences happen
exclusively while on the job,
be warned, there are some spirits
for which boundaries simply do not exist.
Case in point, a nurse from Australia who may have had
a recently deceased patient
follow her home.
September, 2025.
Melbourne, Australia.
Hayley Green has a cat feeder
that takes photos when it detects movement
in her living room,
which helps her keep an eye on her cat.
One day, when she is scrolling through the photos,
she sees one that was taken two nights earlier while she was
in bed.
That makes her blood run cold.
It's a figure of what appears to be a person
standing next to Haley's couch.
The problem is Haley lives alone.
My name is Hayley and these are my photos.
And so I was just flicking through my phone, because it
comes up on my phone,
And I was like, "What's going on here?"
And the cat was next to me on the bed.
So I knew she didn't set off the actual motion detector in
the cat feeder.
About a week later,
it happens again.
This time,
the figure appears in almost the exact same position.
And a week after that,
it's back again.
This time,
it seems to be sitting on the couch.
I was just really intrigued by the first one.
I was like, "I wonder if
it's just, you know, a trick of the light."
{camera shutter clicks]
And then when I got the other two, I was like, "No, this has
"to be some sort of spirit that's coming in and out of
the house, and I just happened to capture it."
But whose spirit could it be?
And why are they in Hayley's home?
To me, this presents more male based off of the build of
the body, and it looks odd because it looks like
it's standing in the middle of the couch or behind the couch
in a way that a body shouldn't be able to really exist without
a lot of contortion.
Make out a head, shoulders, a torso,
but what's odd is that they have no lower portion,
or at least the spatial logistics of this
don't seem to fit.
So is this just a time overlap, or is something trying to
manifest in this room?
One week later, this image was captured.
This is just as remarkable, but in different ways.
It seems now this male figure is seated on the couch,
and almost has its hand up like this, like perhaps
it's revealing something, or almost in an odd way,
like it's in mid-conversation.
It looked like a man sitting on their couch,
but he wasn't defined like a human.
It looked like some sort of apparition that had literally
just materialized.
Hayley has an idea as to who the apparition is,
and it has to do with her job.
A few days before,
because I work as a nurse in the hospital.
And I heard my name being called and like a conversation
going on behind me and turned around, nothing was there.
So then when I've seen this picture
come up on the cat feeder,
Because I have a very big belief in spirits.
The nurse connection is interesting because I do think
there are certain people who become guides to spirits,
either wittingly or unwittingly.
And when you're a nurse and you have a vocation dedicated to
helping the sick and dying, I wonder if someone who passes
on might get slightly confused and continue to see you as
a helper, maybe even following you home to seek
assistance or solace.
If a spirit did follow Hayley home,
it seems to have moved on,
because her cat feeder hasn't captured any more images since,
and regardless, Hayley isn't too concerned.
Rather, she finds comfort in having these images that
solidify her belief
in the afterlife.
It's definitely made me a stronger believer that there
is something after we pass, which is a good thing in my
eyes, because at least I know I can sort of continue on my way
as a spirit in the afterlife.
Coming up,
a woman in Colorado.
Give me a sign that you know I'm here, my love.
Gets a much-needed hello
from her deceased son.
Oh, Thank you, I love you.
2 Losing a loved one is
undoubtedly one of the most
difficult parts of life.
Even more so when that loved one
happens to be your child.
And while nothing can ever replace a loss like that,
for those who believe in an afterlife,
small signs of that loved one's continued presence
can be a world of comfort.
Just ask one woman in Colorado
who believes her deceased son has a subtle way of
communicating with her,
especially when she needs him the most.
June, 2023, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
Christina Luna is at the cemetery visiting her son
Josiah's grave.
Give me a sign that you know I'm here, my love.
Make your things spin.
And while it may seem like the last place a mother would
want to be.
I love you.
Let me know that you're safe with Grandpa Len and Auntie
Vanessa, Grandma Ernie.
For Christina,
what happens here
is life-affirming.
Let me know that you're safe with them, Bean.
Spin it if you're safe.
Show me, baby.
Please show me a sign.
Aw, thank you, I love you.
My name is Christina, and this is my video.
Give me a sign that you know I'm here, my love.
I always sit there and talk with him.
He always gives me signs.
My goal was to actually capture my moment to share it
with the world.
Aw, thank you, I love you.
That moment was more like a mom-I'm-still-here moment.
I could feel the chills and I could feel, like, just this
warming sensation in my heart.
So, like, I think he was just trying to comfort me that day.
I was staring at the blue pinwheel.
That was where my eyes went first, and I was waiting for it
to move.
And so it was out of the corner of my eye...
Show me, baby.
...that I noticed a little movement from the other
pinwheel, the one on the left.
It was almost like a little engine revving up,
like a almost there, almost there.
The pinwheel just turns until we get a full solid spin...
Oh, thank you, I love you.
...and that other pinwheel didn't even budge.
If there was wind, both of those would be turning.
You have something else side by side as a comparison.
You can see that that's not being manipulated or affected...
Make your things spin.
...and so, you left with really only one answer there, is that
her son is communicating to her from the other side by
using that pinwheel
and actually causing that motion.
Christina later posts her remarkable video online,
where viewers point out another possible confirmation
of her son's presence.
Did you see it?
Watch again,
in slow motion,
as a wisp-like orb
flies past the camera
that some believe
to be Josiah.
I do definitely believe that orb was, you know,
just the extra check mark, like, "Hey, he was there,"
possibly even my dad or sister, who I was asking in the video
about, you know?
It definitely looked like something tried to
manifest itself while she was present.
I've been in situations before where I've seen the exact
same thing.
I didn't catch it in real time, but going back and looking at
the footage, you see what seems to be something supernatural
or paranormal presenting itself.
and Christina believes Josiah's spirit
is not only present at the cemetery.
Oh, I get crazy sights here at the house, too.
He actually likes to play with the electricity.
He has knocked pictures off of our wall in my daughter's room.
We see shadows go from my room to her room.
It does give you goosebumps, and it's also like he knows
that we know it's him, because we'll start to say,
"Josiah, enough," like when it starts to freak us out a little
bit, because then he'll stop.
But then he does it again,
and it's just, okay, he's joking with us now.
Spirits tend to hang out in the places they're most
familiar with in life, and then there could kind of
symbolic places where they might go.
So it makes sense that the same spirit could be in both places.
Though Christina believes that where Josiah shows up is less
about location
and more about being wherever he's needed most.
He knows when I'm really struggling.
I feel like he can sense it, even though he's no
longer here.
And knows when Mom needs a sign.
So when I talked to him and he did show me that sign,
it literally made me just bawl my eyes out.
It makes me feel like he's still with me.
Oh, thank you. I love you.
Coming up, is this creeping creature in South Carolina
a skinwalker on the hunt?
2 Capturing some kind of entity on camera,
around where you live,
can be terrifying,
because you not only have to figure out what, exactly,
it might be...
but also why exactly it is there.
Is it just passing through,
a result of some misguided ritual in the area,
or simply
on the hunt?
This is what one couple in South Carolina was left
to ponder
when they caught this
creeping around their tool shed.
July 3rd, 2023, Inman, South Carolina.
Crystal and her husband Donnie have been hearing strange
noises from their tool shed
night after night.
Thinking that someone has been breaking in,
they set up a security camera.
And tonight, just after pulling into their driveway,
Crystal watches the camera's live feed on her phone
while still in the car
and spots something truly bizarre.
Watch closely.
Watch again,
{tape rewinds]
as a strange spindly creature walks on four legs,
before appearing to become bipedal
and disappearing.
What did Crystal and Donnie, who have asked to have
their identities obscured,
capture on camera?
- My name is Crystal. - And my name is Donnie.
And this is our video.
Even more unsettling is what happens when Crystal
looks up from her phone,
toward the area the camera is pointed.
So, how could it be on camera
and yet nowhere in sight?
Now, if it's only showing up on camera and they're not
seeing it with the naked eye, it's not in the physical space,
then that would suggest
something more supernatural of nature.
There's definitely something walking
into the frame,
but it's not anything that I can recognize.
The form seems to be kind of fluid, as if it's changing as
this thing walks.
What really stands out and gives that supernatural
element to what we're seeing here is this "animal,"
air quotes, seems to be walking on four legs, but at the same
time, it looks more like a bipedal creature of some
sort, kind of hunched over and crawling.
It's trying to mimic the natural movements of
an animal, but obviously we're seeing the proof that this is
really not a normal animal walking in this clip.
That's an understatement.
Because to Crystal and Donnie, its behavior points to it being
something extremely not normal
and terrifying,
a skinwalker.
A skinwalker is a type of shapeshifter.
It's usually the result of witchcraft,
but a lot of the stories that we hear are stories that drive
home the potential negative impacts of this.
When transformation goes wrong, when a person maybe becomes
an animal only partway, or they find themselves in
an animal body but with their human brain and they
don't know how to work that animal body.
A lot of people say, when they can't describe
something that acts like an animal but, like, kind of
looks like a human, they automatically, like,
go skinwalker,
but I think this is more like a rake.
Rakes are just like the worst, a conglomeration of like
the most depraved human energies that exist and they
become embodied in like a grotesque animal.
I think it's what a lot of people would describe
as demon-like.
Even more frightening.
But whether a skinwalker, rake,
or something else entirely,
why here in South Carolina?
South Carolina is no stranger to cryptids.
What I've investigated there, we've looked into
the Lizard Man,
into Bigfoot.
A lot of different possible entities that might
be reported.
So this family, if they truly think they've captured
something like that, I'd say let's get some better cameras
out there and let's cover more areas.
That may work for another family,
but not for Crystal and Donnie,
because they have since moved,
though the experience
remains deep within them.
I really just want to spread the word to people that all
the stuff like that that you hear about, that a lot of
people don't believe in, I know for a fact
that this stuff is real.
What should you do in the event you witness
something paranormal?
Here are some tips to get it all on camera.
Check your footage, and then,
check it again.
