But others are not so sure.

Investigating whether Tommy Robinson lied about his finances in court under

oath. That signature on a document in 2018 suggests that he wasn't telling the

truth. And speaking to the man himself.

In this investigation, I go deep inside Tommy Robinson's finances.

Today is Tommy Robinson's Unite the Kingdom march.

He says he's expecting over a million people today. The last one had over 100

,000, but was still one of the biggest right-wing marches in modern history in

this country. So Tommy Robinson is back and he's now bigger than ever.

What everyone does seem to agree on is that they love Tommy Robinson.

And this general feeling that immigration is connected to every bad

issue going on in our society right now.

And they believe in support for Robert Robinson so much that they're willing to

donate money to him.

I follow up with some further information about my investigation, and

Robinson responds by voice note, including this.

I know what you're going to be getting at, mate. You're going to be trying to

imply that I have millions, yeah?

I mean, it's not surprising that Tommy Robinson wants to declare war on me

because I've been investigating his finances for the past several months.

Robinson has a history of being dishonest about money.

In 2014, he was sentenced to 18 months in prison after he pleaded guilty

to mortgage fraud.

In this call with a court-appointed bailiff that he posted online last year,

Tommy Robinson claims to have no assets.

So I went bankrupt.

I had a bankruptcy investigation.

I don't have any assets. That's the thing. I have nothing.

One reason Robinson's donations are difficult to trace is that he often

requests them in the form of cash or crypto.

And he says he does not have a bank account in the UK.

Let me hear it for Great Britain!

In this crowd-rousing footage from 2024, Robinson appeals for cash donations from

his supporters.

There's some buckets going around. If you've got anything and you can spare

it, please put it on.

The next day, he's stopped by police as he tries to leave the country. He's

carrying £13,000 in cash.

Later, he bluntly tells journalists he was taking the money abroad because he

can't bank here.

Why do I have cash in the car? Because we've collected a demonstration the day

before and I can't bank in the UK, you mucks.

He's repeatedly claimed on social media that he has been debanked, which means

when your bank account is closed down, often because of the risk the bank

thinks you pose.

Why was it in my car?

Because I don't have a bank account in the UK.

I'm not allowed a bank account. Let me tell you something.

I don't have a bank account and can't get one in England, but I've been

debanked by every single bank possible.

Some supporters even say they donate to Robinson because he's been debanked.

Have you ever donated to Tommy Robinson?

I have donated this morning, mate. Yeah, only £10.

But, yeah, I have donated. That's the only person I've ever donated to in my

life. I mean, the man's debanked, so the man has no... They took his bank

account. Now he's demonetised. He's got nothing.

In June, a new website is launched asking his supporters to donate in

crypto. because supposedly no UK bank accounts will process payments for him.

But is he telling the truth?

We've been given by a confidential source details of a UK account with

Metro Bank in his real name, Mr. S.C. Lennon. Stephen Christopher Lennon is

the name he uses on official legal documents.

Now... That bank account appears to have existed since at least November 2025.

And in that time period, he's claimed at least six times that he is debanked.

So to check if Tommy Robinson's claim that no UK bank accounts will process

payments for him is true, I'm going to send him some money. So I've got his

bank details up here.

I'm going to send him one pound with the reference, just checking all details

match. Would you look at that?

One pound.

And it's gone through.

If I can send money to a UK bank account in his name, why is he telling his

supporters that no UK bank account will process payments for him, that he's been

debanked? And why is he traveling out of the country with thousands of pounds in

cash?

Robinson told us the Metro Bank account is a personal basic account.

I do not have a normal current account.

Supporters' donations are not paid into my personal accounts.

I have been closed by multiple banks. The account you tested is not a

contradiction of that.

He said he works for a Portuguese company called Circulo Independente

Unipessoal LDA, which does not bank in the UK, and the £13,000 in cash

was company event takings.

However, records show... that the Portuguese company was not registered

until four months after he was found carrying the £13,000 in cash.

Tommy Robinson has a history of fraud and claims that he can't get a bank

account when in fact he can.

So how can his supporters trust what he says about the money that they give to

him?

I'm about to meet someone who held a trusted role inside Robinson's

organization.

Former insiders rarely speak to the media, but he has concerns about where

the money was going.

Paul Bates has convictions for a string of offenses dating back 24 years,

including assault and battery.

He was at the heart of Robinson's crowd security team for several months.

So tell me about your experience working for Tommy Robinson's organisation.

I was originally a steward. The reason I started as a steward was I believed,

like a lot of people, that Tommy Robinson could make change.

And I wanted to be part of that movement.

I didn't like the way the country was going. I don't like the small boats.

I don't like things like Islam being shoved down children's throats.

Security for Tommy, mate. His body cam footage shows the sort of work Bates did

for Robinson.

We're going to form a triangle with my security team and we're just going to

snowplough straight for up to Parliament.

It's got to be on our best behaviour, mate. There's no trouble here or it

fucks everything up for Tommy.

Bates helped manage crowd security for Urban Scoop, which organises Robinson's

events and handles donations.

Its website says Robinson is its founder.

Give us five minutes just to get the stewards sorted out. We'll form a line

right across.

When things started to go wrong, me and my team were realising that things were

not quite right within Urban Scoop.

And there's certain individuals in there.

I don't know if I'm allowed to say this on camera, but in my eyes, they're

absolute trailer trash and scum. We observed things, for example, raising

money for Peter Lynch's widow, Andrea Lynch.

was a 61-year-old grandfather who was convicted of violent disorder during the

summer riots in 2024.

Scum!

Riots that Robinson was widely accused of stoking, with incendiary posts like

this. Put them on boats and send them back, okay? They shouldn't be here.

They're endangering the safety of our families.

Men will rise up. They're always going to rise up.

He has to rise up to defend their families. You fought this war on our

shores.

Lynch was sent to prison and died by suicide in jail two months later.

Robinson quickly takes up the cause, making a personal promise to pay for his

funeral. Every one of us.

At a rally a few days later, one of Robinson's key organisers makes this

zealous appeal for money for Lynch's family.

We're going to pass buckets round the audience and we're going to do a

collection for Peter Lynch's family and we're going to do a collection for Tommy

Robinson's children.

They also collect for Robinson's children to support them as he's in

prison for contempt of court.

Andrea Lynch needs your money.

Tommy's children need this money. The buckets came out and seeing working

class people giving their good hard-earned money away that they

probably can't afford.

And those buckets were filling up with money.

I was in the crowd so I saw it.

What did you learn about the fundraiser for Peter Lynch's family?

That they haven't had a penny.

They've got nothing.

What did Tommy's media company say about... the fundraiser. They put out a

post saying that they tried to contact Andrea Lynch but she doesn't respond so

she obviously doesn't want it so the money's gone to Tommy's kids but

apparently if they want their thousand pounds she just has to contact them and

they'll give her a grand.

I kid you not they put that post on X.

In a podcast almost a year later Robinson offers an explanation.

No money was given to the Lynch family because they didn't want to be

associated with him.

How come it didn't end up in Peter Lynch's family's pocket?

From what I understand, they didn't want it.

And they didn't want any link.

And I understand it. So only one family benefits from the appeal.

Robinson's own.

Urban Scoop claimed that approximately £4,000 was raised in cash.

But in the podcast, Robinson gives a different amount.

This was when I was in jail. £8,000 was what was raised at that demo.

8,000.

That means Robinson's family could have got twice the amount Urban Scoop

claimed, while Lynch's family got nothing.

In a written response, Robinson told us the offer to the Lynch family was made

in person by an associate and was refused.

That share was then applied with the rest to support my children.

He said about 4,000 pounds was raised.

4,000? 8,000? If he doesn't know... How can anyone else?

So is this the only time donations didn't go where supporters were told

they would?

And do people always know in advance that Robinson is raising money on their

behalf?

Right, we're going to do a collection now.

There's some buckets coming round.

As the buckets are being passed around, I thank you for, I know everyone spent

their money coming here, so anything you can give.

In this direct appeal at a rally in London, Robinson tells supporters that

donations will go to one of his key campaigns, helping the survivors of

grooming gangs.

The buckets are going to be passed around the crowd.

Any money put into the buckets will be given to survivors from Telford.

He also says some of the money is for someone who's just died, Andrew Ross,

known as Bomber, who provided personal security for Robinson.

It will be split in half.

We're paying for a headstone as well for Andy Bomber.

We've spoken to Andrew Ross's daughter.

She says Robinson contacted her a few days after her dad died, promising

financial help. He left this message on her phone.

So whatever the costs on a great funeral director for headstones, yeah? For the

marble, for the headstone, which I'll take care of that. So we'll take care of

the costs for a spectacular, beautiful headstone for Andy.

but despite that personal promise ross's daughter says she had no idea robinson

publicly raised funds for it until two years later and she never received a

penny even though her dad was cremated she says she still wanted a memorial

headstone for him but robinson told us there is no headstone because there was

no burial he said he gave the money to a different part of the family as i

understand it six thousand pounds was raised for andrew and was given in full

to his partner and stepdaughter who he lived with to support them at a

difficult time later he said it was 5 580 pounds is there a

pattern here asking the public for donations for a specific purpose but the

money not reaching where he says it's supposed to go this is someone who's

constantly begging for money Poor good working-class people, handing their cash

over.

So what?

Where is it going?

Next, the mystery about Robinson's finances deepens.

He's using me, basically.

He's using me to say that the money's going to me, but it's not.

Tommy Robinson, who can draw crowds of thousands, is one of the country's most

influential right-wing campaigners.

For years, he's raised money for the survivors of grooming gangs, an issue

that drives his popularity.

We hope these actions will bring some form of resolution to the survivors.

Along the way, we help victims, we move them, we support them. We can't do it

without your support.

Everything costs money. I'll get the money.

I'll get the money for any cost to move you, any cost to relocate you. I'll get

it.

We don't know how much he has raised or donated to victims.

One survivor posted online to say she received $5,000 following a fundraiser

promoted by Robinson in 2025.

But what I want to know is whether the money he's raising for grooming gang

survivors always reaches them.

You know, I've done a five-part series called The Rape of Brim, and I've got to

know five survivors, and I've kept in contact with them.

I find this example of Robinson saying he will donate money to survivors,

specifically five women he interviewed for a series of films he made.

So you see if this money does come in.

And it does come in. I'm going to contribute a percentage. I'm going to

contact them. And each one of those five girls who've been told a story will

financially benefit from this. I just want to know that we're meeting our

target and you guys are carrying this on, yeah?

He's talking about a new crypto coin set up to help generate funds for him.

He says he'll give some of the money to these women.

In one of our episodes, the girl brings me up and she breaks down and she says,

I'm not going to kill him. I'm going to kill myself, Tommy. I'm going to donate

a portion of this money to those girls.

I manage to work out who he's talking about.

She agrees to speak with me, but asks that I don't use her real name.

I'm in touch with Kate, who is one of the survivors of the notorious Telford

grooming gangs.

She is the person who Tommy Robinson mentioned specifically when he says that

some of the proceeds from this cryptocurrency coin are going to go to

survivors of the Telford grooming gang.

Hey, Kate.

Hello. We found that Tommy Robinson said that part of the proceeds from the Unite

the Kingdom cryptocurrency coin would be going to the survivors of the Telford

grooming gangs.

Have you received any of that money?

No, I've not heard anything.

I've not heard of that at all.

So if it's going to Telford grooming gang survivors, I don't know about it.

He specifically mentions your story when he talks about this.

I'm shocked by that. He's using me, basically.

He's using me to say that the money's going to me, but it's not. I

don't hear from him at all. I am very angry because I'm sat here, like,

literally struggling while other people profit from my pain and suffering.

And what would you say to the people who are donating to him or to this

cryptocurrency, at least in part because of the way he's centering your story?

it's completely misdirected. They could be contacting legitimate charities who

are actually trying to support victims.

If you wanted to support survivors, don't support Tommy Robinson.

This is shocking because women like Kate are so central to Tommy Robinson's huge

following. The idea that he's defending them and supporting survivors of

grooming gangs is arguably why so many people love Tommy Robinson and donate

money to him.

Kate says she has a disturbing story to tell about her treatment by Tommy

Robinson, a story she's never told before.

So we arranged to meet.

Thanks for doing this, Kate. Great to finally meet you. You're welcome.

We're not far, are we, from where Tommy Robinson first kind of entered your

life? No, I lived just up the road from here.

Kate moved to London after two members of the grooming gang were convicted of

raping her.

So you can probably just stop over here at the end of the road.

Yeah.

She wanted to get away from what had happened to her.

But then Tommy Robinson knocks on her door.

So how did he find you?

He told me that he'd tracked me down through the police database. He was with

his...

who he said was ex-MI5, and he said that he had some

sort of powers to track people down.

Robinson later sends her a voice note confirming who the other man is.

The little Irish fellow who's in the car, it's him that got your address.

So I don't know how he does it.

He does hack in, he does everything, so he's ex-special... I think he's ex-MI5

worker himself, I think.

So what were you feeling in that moment?

Shock. It really came out of the blue and I really was not expecting it. I was

just dazed, like, I thought, why has he come to my address?

Kate agrees to speak to them, but says she felt violated and threatened by the

visit.

She'd tried to keep her whereabouts secret.

because of fear of reprisals from the gangs in telford i spent years off

the electoral register so it really bothered me it was really really

bothered me what was he asking of you he was doing a documentary on

the telford grooming gang sorry this is even upsetting to remember and it's a

it's a ptsd thing but

He sent me back with my mental health and about a week later I called the

doctor and I said, give me some tablets.

I drove all the way to Telford and then I popped all the pills out into my hand.

I had this plan in my mind that I would take it all

Tommy Robinson called me at, like, the worst moment.

I didn't have anything to lose by answering, so I just answered.

Where are you? In Telford.

Don't do anything stupid.

Seriously.

Don't. He said, don't do it. And he said, why don't you come here for the

night to stop me from doing it?

Please don't do anything, darling.

You didn't know at the time that he was recording this phone call? No, I had no

idea that he'd be recording it.

Kate's given us permission to show these clips.

Robinson later persuades her to take part in his series.

He gives her £500 in cash and promises her identity will be concealed.

At the minute, you're blurred.

No one will know who you are. And you're not going to use my name, are you?

We are showing a film that tells the story of women who have been tortured,

murdered and raped.

But when Robinson launches the film with this public screening in Telford, she

discovers that although he disguises her face, he reveals her real name.

He says my real name at the beginning when I'm in all that distress because he

films the bit where he recorded my name.

Worse still, he also includes his recording of Kate's suicidal call.

Don't do this to me.

Seriously. Did you give him consent to use it in the programme?

No. He did tell me later, we recorded you, can't we use it? And I said no.

But he used it anyway.

Found it really humiliating.

It's probably one of the most despicable things that anybody could do to somebody

at their worst moment.

We've seen evidence that three weeks before the film's release, Kate told

Robinson she didn't want him to use her interview at all.

The trauma that I went through was used and I was up on display in my old

hometown, distressed, talking about...

one of the most embarrassing, humiliating moments of my life.

Why do you think that Tommy Robinson included that phone call even though you

asked him not to?

I think the material was too good for him. I think it would make him too much

money.

Since then, Tommy Robinson has continued to make strident appeals for funds for

grooming gang survivors.

Any money put into the buckets will be given to the survivors from Telford.

We understand that over the years, some funds raised have reached some

survivors, but Kate says she hasn't received any money from these appeals.

Sir Max Hill is a former director of public prosecutions.

He's prosecuted murderers, terrorists, and serious fraudsters.

I set up the evidence I've uncovered about Kate's case.

One of the...

fundraisers that he did um he claimed that he would be giving the proceeds a

portion of proceeds to the survivors of a certain grooming gang incident um and

we know we contacted one of those survivors and she hadn't been contacted

about this at all or received those monies according to her well i think

that it's likely to be fraud and we have a fraud act in this country which is

used in so many of those circumstances to ask a question in court whether

that's so wrong that it ought to be regarded as criminal and the phrase that

lawyers often use is a fraudulent misrepresentation it's clearly wrong

isn't it to say to a victim of crime i'm raising money for you and to say to the

general public i'm raising money for that victim when the victim neither

knows about it nor do they receive a penny

Robinson told us he contacted Kate because she had put out a public message

that alarmed him.

And he reached out to a private investigator to help me find her so I

could stop her doing something she would regret. I did not access a police

database, a hacker XMI5 or special forces contact to track her.

Robinson said Kate did not appear to feel violated or threatened during his

initial meeting.

He said Kate stopped speaking to us years ago.

and has not engaged with us since. We could not pay someone we could not reach

and who did not want contact.

He said four other survivors featured in his films have had financial support and

ongoing care from us.

He said he did not keep the money collected in the buckets.

I deny fraud.

Of the suicidal call, I did not tell her in that moment that it was being

recorded. I recorded it because I believed I was dealing with an imminent

risk to her life.

Robinson denies that he used a suicidal crisis to make money or that it was

broadcast against her will. He denies breaching any request for anonymity. He

says Kate saw the final film before release and was content with it, which

Kate denies.

Robinson's campaign on grooming catches the eye of the world's richest man, Elon

Musk.

What I see happening is a destruction of Britain, a failure by the government to

protect innocent people, including children, who are getting gang raped.

It's unreal.

He makes a controversial speech at this rally last September.

And Robinson says Musk begins to support him financially.

Just three years ago, we were deplatformed, we were censored, we

couldn't speak to any of you. There was no momentum, there was no movement.

Musk had also allowed Robinson back onto X, overturning a previous ban.

None of this would have happened if it wasn't for one man, Elon Musk.

Robinson's posts on X now get billions of views a year.

giving him a huge new audience for fundraising.

It seems that Tommy Robinson has raised money for some people who have never

received it. So where's the money gone?

To try to answer that, I'm going to look into a million pound mystery involving

his ex-wife and whether Robinson lied in court about his finances.

I'm investigating what happens to the money donated by Tommy Robinson's

supporters. He and Urban Scoop, an organisation he founded, made multiple

appeals for donations to help put on his big rally in May.

We've worked out they asked for at least £145,000.

We thought we had secured funding for this event.

We've had to beg.

Urban Scoop was the trading name for a company called Thinking Independent

Media Limited, which handled the donations.

Strangely, it was struck off the company register three days after the May rally,

having never filed accounts.

Urban Scoop now trades through a company based in Portugal, according to the

emails it sends out.

Thinking Independent Media, which traded as Urban Scoop, was one of at least five

companies that handled donations from Robinson supporters over the last eight

years.

All of these companies should have filed accounts every year, but four of them

never have, which is illegal, by the way. The fifth, Square FT

Limited, filed accounts once when the company was dormant.

Why would these companies repeatedly not file accounts?

Do they have something to hide?

I've been investigating these five companies. It's unclear whether any of

them have ever paid tax.

Three of them went into liquidation while owing money to HMRC.

If there's a pattern then it's perfectly possible for an investigator to build a

picture that the individual failures to file financial returns were deliberate.

And that's where HMRC, in its criminal prosecutions unit, would be entitled to

look at a tax evasion investigation.

But this isn't just about potential tax evasion.

While Robinson is the one raising the donations, Most of these companies never

listed him as director.

The deeper I dig into Robinson's finances, the more central one person

appears to be, his ex-wife, Jenna Lennon.

Her and Robinson met in the late 90s and divorced in 2021.

Jenna Lennon was director and shareholder of three of the five

companies that handled donations requested by Robinson.

One of those companies, Hope and Pride Limited, was investigated by the

authorities over financial irregularities.

In 2025, Jenna Lennon was banned from being a company director for seven years

for failing to account for over £1 million going into this company

and over £1 million being paid out.

Where was all that money going?

In August this year, Jenna Lennon pleaded not guilty to three charges

relating to alleged failures to keep and provide financial records for Hope and

Pride Limited.

The case is ongoing.

Without accounts, we don't know what happens to Robinson's donations.

But then, in 2018, he did something that meant his finances would face scrutiny

in court.

Syrian refugee Jamal Hijazi.

was assaulted during an attack at a school in Huddersfield. Robinson, also

known as Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, claimed that attack was not as it seemed.

Tommy Robinson posted a video falsely claiming that Jamal Hijazi had attacked

young English girls.

Hijazi sued him for libel.

If Robinson loses the case, he'll be on the hook for hundreds of thousands of

pounds. So if I lose this case...

I'll be charged £650,000, which will give them the ability to seize my home,

which shows exactly what this is about. So there's more than one way to skin a

cat, and they're found the next way.

At the time, Robinson lives in this £800,000 home with a jacuzzi and Range

Rover on the driveway.

But he then claims that if he loses the case... he won't be able to pay the

damages and legal fees because he has no assets and the house is actually in

Jenna Lennon's name.

I don't own any assets.

My wife owns a home that she bought.

Their fees are £346,000.

Good luck.

Because I don't own any assets, you idiots. I ain't got £346,000 in no bank

account. He also reportedly sent a message to his friends saying that

Syrian C word isn't going to get a penny.

Then the verdict comes in.

Today, the high court ruled in Mr. Hijazi's favor, awarding him 100,000

pounds in damages as well as costs. The judge, Mr. Justice Nicklin, said Tommy

Robinson had failed to prove any of his allegations were true.

After the verdict, Robinson was true to his word. He never paid Hijazi a penny.

So he was asked back into court to answer questions about his finances.

I have the transcripts from that hearing.

This is where Lennon Consultancy Limited comes in, one of the companies that

handled donations to Robinson and was run by his ex-wife, Jenna Lennon.

In court, he was asked, what did this company do?

Under oath, he responded...

It was a company owned by my ex-wife.

It is not my company, and I don't know.

But I've seen documents that show that he was actively involved in running the

company. They include a legal agreement signed for and on behalf

of Lennon Consultancy Limited, using his real name, Stephen Lennon.

Also, emails where he can be seen handling company business.

Managing staff, telling Jenna Lennon how much to pay people.

I show this to Sir Max Hill.

There is evidence that at least in 2018, Lennon was acting

in some capacity in relation to Lennon Consultancy Limited.

That signature on a document in 2018 suggests that he wasn't telling the

truth.

Not only that, though.

But there's also evidence that both he and Jenna Lennon each received a £70,000

dividend from that company in the space of one year.

He was also asked in court whether he and his wife treated their

respective funds and monies entirely separately.

His answer? Yes.

He's asked, so her earnings went into one account and yours went into another.

He says, my earnings were only put into my account.

But the documents show that large sums of money went directly into Jenna

Lennon's personal account that appeared to be connected to Tommy Robinson's

work. That appears to include £45,000, which was paid

from a national newspaper into...

Jenna Lennon's personal account in the weeks following the publication of this

story, which included footage secretly filmed by Tommy Robinson himself and

20 grand that appeared to have been paid from the company that published his

autobiography into her account shortly after that autobiography came out.

At the time, Robinson and Jenna Lennon are still married.

robinson told us the forty five thousand pounds was not a bung to hide my wages

and the money went to jenna lennon so she could deal with security and

protection for her and my children's home if there was backlash to the expose

the twenty thousand pounds was as i understand it her arrangement with the

publisher for packing and distribution she has a separate financial agreement

with the publisher direct

So he claimed his earnings only went into his account, but our evidence casts

serious doubt on that.

He claimed he had no idea what Lennon Consultancy did, but our evidence

suggests that he was actively involved in running the company.

Can you really take a £70,000 dividend from a company while having no idea what

it does?

This isn't just about where the donations go or why Jamal Hijazi didn't

get paid. My investigation raises an even more serious question.

It's deeply concerning when you show me the documents that you have.

I do think that there is enough there to justify opening an investigation into

the criminal offence of perjury under the 1911 Act, which, if proved, can

result in a prison sentence of up to seven years' imprisonment. So this

evidence is enough to open a criminal investigation into Tommy Robinson for

perjury? It seems to me that the Metropolitan Police and or the City of

London Police, who have a national remit for fraud investigations, could

justifiably be asked to consider whether a criminal investigation led by the

offense of perjury, but not necessarily limited to that offense, should be

commenced. When I speak to Robinson, he seems to understand the risks.

Did you tell the truth in court about your assets in the Jamal Hajazi case?

You said in court that Lennon Consultancy wasn't your company,

but I've seen evidence that you were involved in running it.

Do you have a reaction to that?

The next day, he follows up with a voice message, which includes this.

Robinson said Lennon Consultancy was associated with my then wife.

I worked in and around that operation.

the five uk companies were run by other people i worked for them if accounts

were not filed if companies were struck off or liquidated if hmrc is owed money

that is a matter for those directors he said he and jenna lennon did keep funds

separate in the sense i described to the court her money was hers i deny perjury

i did not pay mr hijazi because i was made bankrupt jenna lennon did not

respond to our allegations

Next, I try to answer one of the big questions that still remains.

How some of these donations were spent.

That donation wallet has sent 0.92 Bitcoin to an address associated with a

gambling platform.

And a former insider tells me what she saw of Robinson's lifestyle.

I mean, I've watched him take thousands of dollars out of ATMs myself to buy

drugs, you know?

I'm investigating Tommy Robinson's finances.

I've tracked down someone who used to work closely with him and can give me an

insight into what it's like in his world and how he spent his money.

Joining us to talk about herself is Lauren Southern.

Seen here in these confrontational clips, she was one of the first and most

prominent right wing influencers.

She says she worked alongside Robinson for some months before they fell out in

2018.

Hey, Lauren.

Hey, how's it going?

Good. So, tell me, when did you first meet Tommy Robinson?

Oh, man. I feel like this was the very beginning of his career blowing up where

he had a real video team behind him, whereas before it was just kind of the

English Defense League and Facebook posts and that kind of stuff.

What was it like working with him?

he is a hectic person to be around it's chaos 24 7.

extraordinarily funny person to be around extraordinarily entertaining you

feel like you're on this like constant high and party videos going viral you're

going to these speaking events and there's tons of people there so it all

seems very cool especially when you're young but there is a darker side to it

as well but i don't think i understood until later what do you mean by dark

side there's the part where you're saying we're saving western civilization

we're representing a part of the population that feel like they haven't

been heard that feel the government is ignoring them and certainly when i was

younger i thought this is a really important mission but as you start to

pay attention a little closer to the actual finances it doesn't add up what

did you see him spend it on certainly a lot of partying and a lot of drugs but

I mean, the guy loves Gucci. The guy loves expensive cars. I mean, I've

watched him take thousands of dollars out of ATMs myself to buy drugs, you

know?

In candid interviews and online, Robinson has been frank about his past

drug use.

For that period when you're on a bender, whether it be 12 hours, 24 hours or 48

hours, for that period, that's gone.

Are you sniffing as well?

I was, yeah. I was.

I was if I got on a bender.

No matter where I've gone in the world.

Two more people who work closely with Robinson, helping him create his online

content, have publicly alleged that he used donor money to fund his lifestyle,

including nights out.

And, you know, when you talk about his motivation, would you say also part of

his motivation is money? Yeah, of course money is part of the motivation, 100%.

They say money can't buy happiness, but it can sure buy a lot. And people in

this space, I could say, it's a lot harder to go and do a good, honest job

day to day, working nine to five, than it is to just pop up a fundraiser link.

And not only that, who would be Stephen Yaxley Lennon without Tommy Robinson,

right? Getting to travel, getting to...

have all these people believing in you and cheering you on and make a ton of

money in the process.

Tommy Robinson doesn't just take supporters' cash.

He also accepts donations in cryptocurrency.

Many people think crypto is untraceable, but every transaction is recorded on a

public register.

so we asked specialist investigators to track crypto moving into and out of

wallets which are kind of like bank accounts that handle donations for

robinson so he's given details of several wallets where his supporters can

donate to him now our investigators found in their report that in january

2020 one of those donations wallets sent almost 6 000 pounds worth of

cryptocurrency to another wallet

associated with a gambling platform.

So it appears money went from the donations wallet to be spent

on gambling.

To discuss these findings, I've arranged to see one of the country's leading

crypto lawyers.

Great to meet you. Hi, how are you doing? Matt Green is an expert in

digital asset tracing and works closely with the investigators who did the

report.

So I'm relying on a report conducted by Token Recovery, and the people who run

it are with a military background, policing background, and what they do is

they help me as a lawyer understand the movement of funds. And they have seen

that that donation wallet has sent 0.92 Bitcoin to an address associated with a

gambling platform.

So obviously we know that that wallet is associated with donations to Tommy

Robinson's work because he's advertised it as such. How do we know the wallet

those funds went into is associated with a gambling website?

So blockchain technology allows us to see an open ledger. It's public

information. So companies like Token Recovery are able to use open source

intelligence, or what we call OSINT, to determine that that address is

associated with that platform, gambling platform.

I mean, all of this is ridiculous because when...

people donate to any cause whether that's a campaign a charity or whatever

usually that would be through a company that's filing accounts that's registered

etc we're already in such an area of abnormality with it being a crypto

wallet but then there's the artifact that this crypto wallet sent those

donations it appears to a gambling website But the point is, is that you

can't say that it was him who sent the money. But even if you donate money to

Tommy Robinson's donations wallet and someone else uses the donations in that

wallet for gambling, that's still bad.

We can't say for sure who moved the funds from the wallet that Tommy

Robinson advertised to donate to.

into the wallet associated with the gambling platform.

But we can say that Robinson does like to gamble because in 2022, he told a

court that he estimated he spent around £100,000 on gambling in the space of two

years in casinos and online.

After speaking to people who've been close to Tommy Robinson, one thing is

really striking.

Some of them take issue with him, not because of his politics, but because of

what he does with the money from his supporters.

People have genuine concerns and they want to feel represented.

They are desperate for a hero. But the only thing people see is the show that's

being put on. I think the people that are following and truly believe in his

cause, they deserve better than what's being done to them.

Do you have any regrets about working with Tommy Robinson's organization?

Yeah, I feel that I've been duped into helping good working class people out of

their money.

Do you think that he is motivated out of empathy?

and trying to help victims like yourself.

No. If he cared about us, then he wouldn't have approached me in the way

that he did. I think he does it for money. This is how he gains an income.

He's interested in making himself look like he cares about victims.

It does feel like we have finally managed to pierce the veil of secrecy

surrounding Robinson's money.

People he says he's raised cash for.

have not received that money and he has serious questions to answer about

whether he told the truth in court under oath about his own wealth now despite

all that tommy robinson continues to ask for donations every week from his

supporters what i'm wondering is after everything we found out in this

investigation will those supporters keep donating

In a statement, Tommy Robinson told us, I work for Circulo Independente

Unipessoal LDA.

Appeals are often made in my name because I am the public face of the

work. Supporter donations are received and spent by the company on overheads,

events, campaigns, documentaries, and related work. I am paid contract fees.

A quote for a public address system hire for a recent event was more than half a

million pounds, which shows that a single rally of that scale is a

significant production cost.

I do not accept that I organized or directed riots in summer 2024.

I have never been charged with inciting that disorder.

I have been open about past drug use. I deny that supporter donations were a

float for nights out, Gucci or cash machine drug buys. What I spend of my

pay is not donor money.

Claims he spent donations on his lifestyle are false statements based on

the evidence of disgruntled ex-employees.

He did not accept our chain analysis as proof.
