What is this?

This what my mom made for me.

Actually, I think

perhaps you can think of that

as an asset that your mother left for you.

And maybe,

you can recreate this scent from scratch.

from scratch.

The whole equipment

needs to be changed.

Then this set of

designs

I would like to give to Qi Xuan to use.

Then lets give it to him to use.

What are you doing?

I found someone to get ( ) company's

account book.

Thank you, but I

don't need your help.

From what I see, you should continue to stay here and wash

You don't have the qualifications to be Qi Wei's CEO.

Hey! You...

We are all trying our best to work things out for you

But you think that friend are helping you

to make you owe them.

But for the sake of your goal

you will have to owe.

Wu Yan!

I already looked through

the information and formulas that Mom and Dad left,

but I still couldn't find any

complete formulas.

You have to have faith in yourself.

You may get me involved and...

get me into trouble too.

We'll go down together.

You take me too simple.

From now on,

you and I have nothing to talk about.

Subtitles ~ Team Zhong Wu Yan ~ Viki

Dad

What's up?

Are those equipments okay?

Yes.

How's your Grandma?

Old granny lost her son at such an old age and...

that's really unfortunate.

Dad.

Sorry, sorry.

I'm just a teacher and...

I'm getting too old.

I shouldn't said that.

Don't mind me for saying the wrong things.

Of course not.

It's tough on you.

Your father was also my old friend.

He passed away so suddenly and...

I didn't have a chance to bid him farewell.

Dad.

Sorry.

I didn't know why I connected so well with you.

You go talk.

That . . .

About those equipments.

Ask me if you don't understand something.

'They' like to play 'truants',

those equipments.

Just let me know and...

be it a 'headache' or...

'bodyache', I know how to resolve it.

My dad treated those...

equipments here as...

his old friends.

Yes. Old friends.

Many years already.

Oh, I heard that...

you wanted to create some essential oil?

Yes. When I was little, my mom

used Peony flower essential oil...

in a lucky charm.

Now, I wanted to...

recreate this scent again.

Manager Qi!

Long time no see.

I offer you this wine.

Long time no see.

Don't call me Manager Qi.

I'm already not a Manager.

Sorry,

I'm not used to the change.

Oh, yes. Earlier, what were you all chatting about?

You seemed very happy.

Yes.

We were discussing that...

now that we have the equipment,

we can proceed in creating our essential oil.

Things are not so easy.

Right now, where do you expect me to find . . .

fresh peony flowers?

I've contacted several flower growers.

I'm expecting some news soon.

Really?

Alright. What about logistic cost?

Storage space?

Did you consider all these problems?

Manager Qi.

Oh no, Qi Xuan.

Let me ask you, do you have cash now?

Let me finish my words!

I'm sorry.

Being a brother-in-law, compared to others, I'm very pragmatic.

I'm a practical person.

Even though they say a man can become famous because of a dream,

not everyone's dream

can come true.

If it were so easy,

I would be a billionaire now.

Am I right?

Brother-in-law, why are you saying that?

Qi Xuan has just started.

But brother in law tell a right thing

These are all pragmatic issues.

Honestly speaking,

I've prepared some...

preliminary plans.

Don't pay attention to him.

What costs?

With the support and encouragement of family and friends,

you can keep costs down.

What's that issue about costs?

You can only 'talk'.

That's why you aren't successful now.

Let's not keep talking.

Let's make dinner.

Dad, the things we said were all reality.

Let's go.

With friends here today, let's prepare chicken.

Chicken!

Subtitles brought to you by ZWY team @Viki

Now that I'm thinking about it,

Previously, I was really unrealistic.

That's why, now,

I dare not plan for a very far future.

I want to cherish every moment now.

This is my very last chance.

I can't lose again.

Hello. David.

What's the matter?

Something happened to Director Sun?

What happened, exactly?

Manager Sun got into a car accident.

The doctor said his brain was affected.

It's possible he won't wake up.

You mean a vegetative state?

Aunt.

Qi Xuan.

Thank you for coming to see him.

He may not have the chance in the future.

To thank you again.

Aunt, don't talk like that.

Uncle Sun was someone who...

loved his family.

He's probably working hard now.

He will wake up.

We'll stay with him together.

When Uncle Sun was in trouble,

Why didn't you call me directly?

You called Zhong Wu Yan.

I called you several times before.

You didn't pick up.

Because this situation is very serious,

I just called Zhong Wu Yan first.

Is there anything else?

If there's nothing, I'm leaving.

Since the last time I bumped into you,

have you been well?

I want to apologize to you.

Before this, we...

It's nothing.

Your fist was so weak.

Let me tell you . . .

If you have to hit a person, hit like this.

You missed!

You want to teach me?

Since we were young, when it came to fighting...

I've always had to help you.

Nonsense!

Since young, everytime you got into trouble...

I helped you to take the blame.

That's right.

You helped to spoil me.

I think that you've changed a lot.

You're not the same.

You gave me the account record, do you think...

Do you think that this situation

is related to my mom?

Yes, after Uncle Qi passed away,

our family benefited the most from that.

But that doesn't mean

that my mom is the mastermind.

But if it's true?

Actually, I've been investigating this.

There's another reason.

I want to prove this.

My mom is not involved with this situation.

But there's only one truth.

No matter what happens, she's still my mother.

Just like you're forever my brother.

Okay.

No matter what happens.

If you have need, contact me any time.

Next time something comes up, call me directly.

I'll pick up.

Did you guys make up?

We didn't really have a problem to begin with.

How are things on Uncle Sun's side?

Does he need help with anything else?

David did everything for them.

The only thing is, we no longer have any method of . . .

collecting clues from Director Sun.

Why do we have to come here?

They have the best peonies.

Even my dad, in the past,

wanted to work together with them.

Besides, their flowers . . .

are all organic.

Organic flowers?

They will be expensive, are you sure?

Good things don't come easily.

It's worth it.

Master!

I suggest that you go find someone else.

Why?

We're very sincere.

You wanted to crush my flowers...

and make them into essential oil.

So my blood and hard work will be for nothing.

I disagree.

Master.

I know that each blossom

is the result of your blood and toil.

But think about it.

No matter how fragrant or beautiful the flower,

after you collect them,

they don't last more than a couple of days.

But we can take your flowers

and make their fragrance last for a long time.

Preserved forever?

Don't think that I don't know

you cosmetics industry people

will take my flowers

and mix them with some artificial scent oil.

Whatever -- "preserve them forever."

Please believe us.

We definitely won't do that.

What you are thinking in your heart,

I can guess most of it.

I don't use any pesticides here.

The quality of the flowers is high.

And it's internationally known.

You want to use my flowers

to cheat other people.

Everyone knows

that in the international competition,

your flowers won many awards.

This shows your commitment to this situation.

In the same way, we have commitment, too.

So we came to look for you.

What are you committed to?

We're committed to using the most natural ingredients

to make the most natural scent.

Talk is cheap.

Everyone does it.

I'll talk to you truthfully.

I know your dad.

Many years ago, he wanted to buy flowers from me,

But I didn't sell the flowers to him.

I heard you're a failure.

On what grounds should I sell my flowers to you?

Master .

We're really very sincere.

I'll take a bit of your time.

At least, take a look at the product we plan to launch

before you make your decision.

My parents already passed away,

But their idealogy before their death

was to use pure ingredients.

That's why our production process,

compared to those who use artificial scent oil,

is more complicated.

Since you knew my father,

I believe that you've heard

what happened to my family.

I want to reestablish my dad's fame.

The first thing,

is to get your peonies.

Master .

Please.

Please Master .

At least give us some flowers to try.

It's alright if Mr. Li doesn't agree.

I think that there has to be at least one other person who plants these kinds of flowers without pesticides.

So, we can't give up.

I never thought that what I would do now

is what I couldn't do in the past.

My mom really liked flowers.

One year, on Mother's Day,I wanted to buy flowers for her.

As a result, because of the pollen,I fainted.

Since then, my mom didn't permit me to go near

or buy flowers.

So what if I can't find flowers?

I can cultivate them like my mom.

So what if I have a pollen allergy?

I always have a way to overcome it.

Qi Xuan,

we haven't tried everything yet.

Besides, we have to go look for those who cultivate peonies.

Even if we have to search the whole world, we can find the appropriate peonies.

I understand.

It wasn't easy for me to find what I want to do.

I don't want to give up.I want to try all methods.

I'll be with you all the way, since you decided it.

Why don't we split up now to search for information on pollen.

I'll go to the bookstore to search for some gardening magazines. It should help.

Okay. Then I'll go to the event directly.

Let's split up, then. We'll meet later.

Bye bye.

The information that you have about pollen, no doubt there are people who are growing peonies.

But if you ask me who has the best quality,

actually, you have just mentioned his name.

To produce the best essential oil,

the best raw materials must be used.

I must try it.

Mr Lin.

How come it's you again?!

I'm not selling my flowers to you!

Mr. Lin,

perhaps you can appreciate the world any time,

but Qi Xuan can't.

Qi Xuan has had a pollen allergy since he was little. He doesn't know the smell and beauty

of flowers.

So, now, he's dealing with all these difficulties

because he wants to revive the unique smell his mom made for him.

Please.

Please, help us, alright?

Mr Lin! Please help us! We have no other way!

Mr. Lin!

Mr. Lin!

Do you know that this is dangerous?!

I'm returning it to you.

I'll sell you my peonies.

Really?

Thank you!

Actually, you're right.

No matter how beautiful it may be, in time, a flower will wilt.

I hope you can make a good product.

Don't take advantage of my hard work taking care of these peonies.

We won't let you down! Thank you, Mr. Lin!

Thank you!

Thanks.

Qi Xuan!

How did you convince Mr. Lin?

You haven't eaten yet?

Let's go eat. We can talk while eating. Quickly!

Office? My home.

Workers?

That's me! You don't need other employees now.

Then... how about( )

I've already calculated those.

it's around seventeen hundred thousand dollars, help me look at it

Actually, we

can ask Qin Chu to help.

You also know that he wants to help you.

I don't want.

You're still mad? Of course not.

If not, what other solution do you have?

Let's take a loan from the bank.

Bank loan?

But your credit right now...

I'll find solutions for the money issue.

I can accept your help, but

I really don't want money from you.

I know your inner feelings right now,

but you can think of it in this way:

you can pay back the money once you earn a profit,

Plus, if you think about it, with his business mind,

if this alliance is profitable,

I believe next time he would -- -- Okay now.

Let's not talk about this.

The entire world knows that he likes you.

He already contacted me earlier.

He contacted you?

When I first left Qi Corporation

he already contacted me about collaborating,

but I refused.

I can feel that his feelings toward you are sincere.

Because of your relationship, he wants to help me.

Actually, i want to be like him.

Forget about everything else, and date the woman I love.

It's just that I do not believe I have the privilege to give someone else happiness right now.

Do you still remember

when we were younger?

You said my birthmark was pretty like a peony flower.

From that time,

in my heart, you

were different from others.

Then I must have disappointed you.

No.

Thank you. Let's work hard together.

Argh, Qi Xuan is really stupid!

Qin manager has so much money,

if you ask him for a loan, he'd thank you for asking.

Hey, money, money, money! There are other things more important than money.

Like what? Having a backbone (integrity).

What is that?

No, money is more important!

You don't have any money or backbone. I don't know why I married you. I'm divorcing you!

Why are you like this?? Okay now,

be more serious, you two. Stop babbling nonsense.

Dad, I'm not being frivolous.

Think about it. Qi Xuan doesn't want to borrow money from his love rival.

He wants to use his own effort to demonstrate his love to Wu Yan.

Then don't be enemies with money.

Shut up.

But money is not more important than man's backbone. Right, right?

But...

$5 million TWD is a huge amount for him.

Hey sis, let me tell you this.

I have $40,000 in my personal savings.

Go ahead and take it for now.

Hey! How come you have so much money? Don't be impulsive!

I am not impulsive!

Just think about it, my Sis has liked Qi Xuan since she was young.

If they have the chance to be together again, we have to help her, right?

We should entirely help her, but with what we are capable. For safety purpose, transfer half of the 40,000 into my account.

I'm spending my own money, meaning you don't need to spend yours.

Why are you still like that?

Who says I don't have backbone? Invest $40,000 on me and I'll show you what is a man's backbone.

Alright.

Wu Yan, Dad also has some money.

You also have?

This is Wu Yan's dowry.

If you agree...

we'll use the money to help Qi Xuan.

Actually, both of our families,

we can say we are family friends for generations.

If it weren't for

his father who brought this jade necklace,

we wouldn't have any dowry for your sister's wedding.

Now it's our turn to help Qi Xuan.

Dad...

That kid

is crazy.

But I have confidence in him.

Okay.

But,

he's not going to accept.

He said he's going to earn money with his own capabilities.

By his own effort?

What plan does he have?

It seems that having too much backbone isn't so good.

I know!

We can issue stocks.

The stocks will be listed and we can then buy them.

It will seem like an investment to him and not a loan. Then of course he will accept it!

I'm really the best at everything!

I am so smart!

Can you be serious?! What nonsense are you talking about?

Wait, wait, wait...

I think this plan is not bad.

.

Hello everyone.

Hello.

I remember the first time that I came here

was because I had to sign a contract.

Thinking more carefully...

I did a lot of stupid things.

As I was cleaning the stream, I noticed it was really clean.

So clean to drink it myself.

I invited everyone here,

because I have a plan to share with you.

Hoping to have everyone's support.

Usually, when someone sees a flower

they want to approach and smell it.

But, I'm allergic to pollen, so I can't be near flowers.

I didn't know the smell of a flower.

My mom, in order to make me the same as the rest.

So she made her favorite peony flowers into oils,

putting it in a pouch, and keeping it around me.

In this way,

I'd be able to smell the flowers just like everyone else.

Like that, I could be like other kids and smell the scent of a flower.

Of course, the sweet scent has vanished,

but the it will always remain in my memories.

The meaning behind it is the love of a mother towards her child.

So, my plan now

is to remake the smell of 20+ years ago.

Of course, we need to commercialize this scent

and put it in the market. However, in this stage,

I'm lacking funding.

I need everyone's support.

I am confident, the investors will make a profit.

Alright! Well said!

I'll definitely support you!

But now, you're just starting. After so many years

if it's not as good as you're saying, what shall we do?

Right.

Please, don't worry.

Because I have all the information my mom kept back then.

So I have confidence that I will recreate the scent my mother had created in the past.

What happens if we support you and do what your dad did, and run away with the money?

My dad was framed.

We're country folk, we don't know anything, and you'll scam us.

I don't have that much money, and this stuff can't even be eaten.

Please, give Qi Xuan a chance, alright?

Village people, please calm down and listen,

on my behalf.

Wu Yan is our village's glory.

He is the winery's boss. Everyone please listen.

Okay.

Village members,

I'm sure everyone

has concerns.

Some may say this product

will not succeed.

And some will be afraid

that the money they invest will be lost, and the product

cannot hit the market.

I'm hoping everyone can set aside their worries,

I've decided

I will invest in him.

What?

How about this:

Anyone interested to invest in Qi Xuan,

please register with Wu Yan.

About the money, don't worry.

I'm willing to lend you the money.

When the time comes,

when everyone makes a profit,

you can still get a bonus.

But if there are loses,

don't worry.

You simply need to slowly return the original amount.

Is he for real?

Lending us 100000TWD without interest, and we can have a bonus?

Wife,

we borrow money from him and don't need to pay interest. I should borrow 1 million TWD from him.

I haven't say anything yet.

Okay, then I'll just borrow 100000TWD.

Are you certain you want to do this?

This is a good opportunity.

Look at everyone's reaction.

Just let it be.

But,

First,

Because we are still worried you will take the money and run,

I hope

all the money stays with Wu Yan.

Okay,

Second,

If R&D fails,

and you can't create this scent,

at that point, I want the full amount returned.

Okay.

You need to give me a timeframe.

I can't wait for you for 10 years or 20 years.

It won't take that long,

I only need 3 months. Good.

All villagers, since CEO Qin is here to guarantee

I believe Qi Xuan will not run away, so let's invest.

Okay!

Let's have a good partnership.

How many people in total?

105 people.

105 people.

That's more than I expected.

Yeah,

But we're still missing half of our investment.

That's okay, this is already really good.

We'll come up with a solution for the remainder.

Wait a second.

Hey!

Qi Xuan,

here is 200000NT.

Didn't you say you only had ~10000 NT left?

I found the rest of the money was under your shoe.

That's my last...

I have 1500000NT.

This was originally her dowry,

I'm giving it to you now.

Think of it as her investment. From now on,

she's your biggest investor.

Thanks, uncle.

I'm very grateful to everyone.

With you all, I feel like I've suddenly gained many family members.

You're not alone now,

You have 105 investor's belief in you.

Oh dad, adding us it's 107.

Adding like this,

We're still missing 1

It's 108 people from this village.

I don't care, I want to join.

Ah...

This, is really my last.

Bro.

How do you have so much?

I intentionally let you find what was under the shoe.

Am I that dumb?

Secretly hiding...

Qi Xuan, take this

Good

Happy.

From now on, work hard.

Let's eat, we need to shop for groceries.

Stay here for dinner tonight.

Since we have almost all of the funding, you can focus on making the perfume now.

I'll help you keep track of finances.

Is that not good?

I finally understand what dad's thinking.

Before, he kept pressuring to get us married,

forcing you to help me. It made me really uncomfortable.

As if I'm really useless.

But now I understand.

The help he's thinking of is different.

It includes you

and everything you have accomplished.

It's really enough to change my life.

Thank you.

Qi Xuan, you're back.

How was everything today?

It was pretty good.

We got 4000000NT.

That's really good, you can get that much in one day.

I didn't do it alone.

Everyone helped.

Oh, are you hungry yet?

I've made all of your favourites.

But, you've eaten already?

Of course not, I'm really hungry.

I'm just worried you haven't made enough.

Wait for me, I'll heat it up.

Boss,

Qi Xuan has money now,

he's making perfume in some village.

Everything seems legit.

What can he accomplish alone?

He's not alone.

He has a lot of people helping.

Even your son is helping him.

Boss, how about this. Send me

to give him some help.

There's no need.

He thinks he's playing house?

He thinks making perfume is that easy?

He wants to build a company like Qi Enterprise,

maybe in his next life.

That's why I said I would help.

Let him reincarnate sooner, so he doesn't have to go through hardship.

That's right, I told you to check up on Xia Ying Cun's background

Yup, there's no progress.

But that's also strange

Xia Ying Cun loves to be mysterious.

Even the reporters can't find her past information and pictures.

The industry says she has unknown roots.

I think there's something suspicous.

Keep following up.

She is also born and raised,

I don't believe you wont't be able to dig up her background.

Yes.

Thanks, boss.

Boss,

The amount on this cheque

isn't the amount we first discussed.

You only completed half of your task, so

I'll only give you half.

You can't say that.

After I hit him, that hold man is in the hospital hanging onto his life.

If you want it, take it. If not, leave it. Don't fuss.

I'll take it.

Of course I'll take it.

Boss.

If that old man dies, the remaining half

you'll still give it to me?

If there's nothing, don't come here to find me again.

I'll call you.

From now on, use this phone to contact.

Remember,

I'll call you, understand?

Understand.

As long as you have money,

making me disappear is simple too.

If there's no money,

I'll have to come find boss, for a chat.

Have a good business.

If I can find you to get rid of someone,

I can find someone to get rid of you.

Ah, Mr.

You're back?

Who was the man just now?

Who?

The one going down the stairs.

Oh, supplier.

You also know they like to send gifts and bribe me.

Supplier?

Which one?

Forget it.

If you don't want to tell me, I don't want to know either.

If there's nothing, I'll go to my room.

Da Wei.

The company is coming up with a new product (Seaweed/Kelp essence).

Mom has placed a lot of effort in it.

It needs to be a top seller.

I need your help.

Can you be more focused?

Mom,

I haven't gotten used to suddenly becoming general manager, so I'm a bit overwhelmed.

Can I have a break?

Are you resting because of Qi Xuan?

Your dad departed early,

Mom had to raise you alone

and work.

It was very tiring.

But 20 years have gone by

has mom rested?

I just hope you can understand me,

don't treat your home like a hotel.

Don't treat me like an enemy.
