Hi, sweetie!
My sweet love on the bike!
Hi mom!
Tell me hi.
Hi mom!
Hi, mom!
- What did you do? - We went on the chair lift.
And then?
A man gave us a lift back, that's why we were on time.
Mom, I'm telling you something.
There are three dinosaurs. One is behind the big one.
- Is it a dino puppy? - Yes, the one behind.
- Look how cute. - Let's go.
Girls, it's 6.08 in the morning.
We're totally devastated by the jet-lag.
I'll scream, I'll do like...
No, I think I will only pull a face. Well, I don't know.
I'm also nervous on my own.
Chiara, you can do it.
You already did it once.
- It brought you good luck. - Exactly!
You'll do it again and it'll be even cooler, and you'll be a super cool mom.
Perfect. I love that you're telling this to yourself.
Your followers will be proud of you, for how brave you are.
- You'll be the Chiara I'd like you to be. - Of course you will.
The Chiara I'd like to be would have a piercing without even thinking about it,
so I'll be that.
- Do I sound crazy? - A bit.
If you have a passion, if you love something,
you can do it, you'll make it, it's up to you.
Chiara, perhaps in her own way, has dreamt of this
but then comes determination, and making your dream come true.
The role of influencers has been that of shortening distances
between fashion and ordinary people,
who looked at fashion as something unattainable.
Influencers have broken with the past,
this distance between real life and the reality of fashion.
I remember a Dolce & Gabbana fashion show
who had the courage to put bloggers in the front row,
next to Anna Wintour.
What a profanation it seemed!
I think most influencers are very simple phenomena...
In a sense, we have to acknowledge
that they are living advertising pages.
Chiara has been the person who definitely, more than any other...
People who would not approach fashion
can now identify in an aspirational figure like her.
She has became a model to follow for millions of girls.
Bella is leaving.
- Hey! - Kendall is here.
- I wanted to say hello. - Kendall is here. It's your time.
It's your moment, my love.
- Gigi! - No, guys! It's my time.
- Can we take a picture together? - I have to say something smart.
- I have to impress her. - Go!
In one second I'll have to say something...
Hello! Hello!
She greeted me!
She didn't greet me, but it is as if she had.
- Love, are you excited? - I'm very excited, my love.
Important press release, guys: Gigi Hadid greeted me.
I swear! She witnessed. Didn't she?
- She greeted me. - That's not true, she greeted me.
- She greeted her but looked at me. - She greeted him.
Turn yourself, guys!
It's not enough to be a blogger to get a front row.
Chiara has been able to win a record
with her great vision.
She has been a pioneer
at a time when not everybody understood what was happening,
the transformation that was taking place.
Chiara has certainly got a special talent,
in that she is woman who works
but has always been so spontaneous.
I can only imagine the pressure Chiara has on herself.
Just a wrong word, and sometimes
you'll have to face a barrage of criticism.
Sometimes you can feel like a marketing product yourself.
And you can never show your weaknesses.
You have to be almost perfect, always.
She's incredibly powerful, almost like a pop star.
In the past, messages were conveyed through music.
Today, she sends them out through a frame or a few words,
and manages to capture the attention of millions of people.
Are they okay?
I'll try both and you'll tell.
Yes, these are good.
- They're beautiful, aren't they? - They are.
Apart from all the comments... "You're a mother, a wife..."
What the...
"Where do you go dressed that way? Does your husband agree?"
"Will he let you go out?"
"What will your son say when he'll see your photos?"
She is Italian and has become the most famous in the world.
This is something to be acknowledged.
When I talk to my Chinese, American, French, English, Arabian customers,
everyone knows Chiara Ferragni and is fascinated by her,
because this girl entered this market and soon became a key player.
Chiara is authentic.
She sends out a message: "You can doo it, too."
"If you want, you can do it."
Today is the longest day in the world, guys.
It has been like two days...
We'll go to bed, after staying awake for 24 hours.
- I like it a little long. - Yes, yes.
I think I won't change clothes, I don't care, I'll stay as I am.
- You don't want to. - I'm sitting. Which shoes?
- What about the Saint Laurent sandals? - Yes.
This is the last one.
- Come on, we're late. - That's okay.
- Yes. - Make-up done, Manu?
- Yes, I'm almost done. - All right.
- This one is larger. - Are you more comfortable?
No, I am not. Can you tighten the right one a little bit?
I think they're the same.
- Wait. The lipstick? - I have it.
Wait, take the gum, so I don't have to take it with me.
- Shall we meet downstairs? - 8.15 pm downstairs.
- Let's go. - Bye, babies, see you for dinner.
- Bye, see you soon. - I can't even put the gum into my mouth.
I can't do that.
- Can you do it? - I can.
- We don't feel like doing it, do we? - We don't.
Here we are.
Will Paris be there?
- Where did you first meet her? - I don't remember.
She started following me on Instagram, and I did the same.
What a genius! You met in Los Angeles.
I think we met at some event before that.
I remember Paris when she became famous.
- I loved her like crazy. - I had her book.
Did you have her book? A photobook or a real book?
- She tells how to become a millionaire. - Are you kidding?
Setting aside the fact that you had to have millions.
I mean, you have to be born rich, basically.
She says like...
I should get it back. I think it's in Cremona.
When we go to Cremona I'll show you.
How are you?
Let's go this way.
Girl!
I always had this backpack, a camera, and a video camera.
In the past, video cameras were very bulky.
The girls and their dad would make fun of me,
they said they were my creatures.
Yes, to me they were almost like creatures,
I felt that it was important to take them with me
and chronicle what has now become our past.
Because the past is important, you must remember it, always.
The past tells us why we are who we are,
and what we will become in the future.
What day is it? 16th...
- The 16th of... - May.
May 16th, 1988.
Chiara can walk but she started walking last Friday.
Fly, fly, baby!
No, Maya The Bee is better.
My father had a Rolleiflex I really was captivated by,
because he would carefully look into this lens,
and see his personal vision of the world.
This way of remembering the moments we spent together,
when we were little,
well, I wanted to do the same with my girls.
Look, mom.
Come on, we have to climb up. Let's go.
Mom?
Wait a minute, let me film Ayers Rock.
Franci, how many times have I told you? 1,500 times?
- Mom, can you film me? - Just a moment.
Beauty!
Don't touch my arm when I'm filming.
Look, the Hubba Bubba!
They were five, I have only two left. One is in my mouth.
- Hello. - Hello.
- What's this? - Dad bought it today.
- Frogs! - Mom!
Let me see.
Hello!
- Look at my bag. - What time is it?
- Hello mom! - Hello.
Photography is so interesting, because it is a different representation.
It is the ideal reality.
Girls, like that!
I remember Chiara was a very sweet little girl.
She wasn't a bully at all.
She has always had a great sense of justice.
She was very enthusiastic, willing to do things,
see the world, and travel.
She didn't want to be a leader, she wanted to be loved.
At the same time, she was not afraid of not pleasing people.
This is her real strength, she doesn't necessarily have to be liked.
She must have been 16 years old.
She had to go and visit this friend who lived in England.
We took her to the airport, and she didn't turn
after the security gate.
I was there crying, I felt so sad.
Instead, she left, happily so, as if nothing had happened.
I understood that she was independent, that she was willing to explore,
to be very determined.
Maya The Bee in the water!
Growing up, my mom has always been my number one inspiration.
She came from the world of fashion. She was always so beautiful.
She was always dressed with style,
but above all she has always had this strong character.
She gave me confidence, which is something I'll always be grateful to her.
Your true self confidence comes from your childhood, I think.
If you had a happy childhood,
if your parents make you feel special,
you will always feel special.
For all your life.
Here is my beautiful diva of the 50s.
I remember that when I was a child I was good at school,
but I've never been the best-in-class student
or one who wanted to do more than the others.
I didn't understand what my talent was.
I had something, an instinct, an inner voice,
"You'll find your way, you'll find out about your talent."
I was good at all the sports I did,
but I didn't stand out in any sport I did.
My father suffered so much for this,
because he always wanted me to become either a doctor or a brilliant sportswoman.
Chiara has always been a powerhouse.
If she wanted to do something, it was hard to convince her not to do it.
Chiara wanted the digital camera
we got as a reward from the supermarket Esselunga.
We were going skiing on vacation
and, in a two-hour journey, Chiara will have taken
like 500 photos of herself, slightly changing her position.
I couldn't stand it, I almost burst, and said to her: "What are you doing?"
"Stop it, this thing will lead you nowhere in your life!"
I have always loved sharing with other people.
I wasn't happy with taking these pics and keeping them for myself.
I've always liked sharing them with a wider audience.
When I was 16 or 17,
I was on a social network, called Duepuntozero.
In one year, I had become one of the most popular users.
I was very happy with it.
Then Flickr became popular.
It's a photo sharing site,
mainly used for professional pictures.
For me, it was like my diary.
I used to post photos of my looks, trips,
or evenings with friends.
It was a platform where I could share my life.
The first haters were born from Flickr.
They would insult me every single day,
especially for the type of photos that I took.
They said Flickr was a photography site
and I was contaminating it with my stuff.
I had to face the first haters at that time.
In the summer of 2009, I started finding foreign fashion blogs.
An American girl took pictures in California
and posted her looks.
She posted pictures very similar to those I shared every day on Flickr.
I loved her photos.
I liked the idea of having your own 'home',
a website of yours, where people would come and see your life,
rather than posting on other sites with many other users.
The idea came from this, and I said: "Maybe I'll have my blog, too."
I wondered: "How can I call it?"
I was very blonde
and wanted to play with clichés,
I wanted to play on this side of mine.
I wanted it to be The Blonde + something.
Someone said: "The Blonde Pasta? The Blonde Pizza?"
Someone said: "The Blonde Salad."
I don't know, something remained in my mind.
The first photo I posted as my blog logo
was this Barbie in a salad bowl.
You could read "The Blonde Salad", not neatly typed, actually.
It was like some dressing on the salad.
We have created a team around my figure
coordinated with my blog, The Blond Salad Crew,
that is called, TBS Crew.
At the age of 22-23, a team of around 10 people worked with me.
They were all my age, that is, under 30.
The first job offers and sponsorship proposals came.
Of course, I didn't even know where to start from.
At the beginning, the person who supported me most
and helped me in everything was Riccardo, my former boyfriend.
He was my business partner, and gave me so much,
I'm so grateful to him.
But no one has ever created me. I created myself!
After the first jobs, my role was kind of acknowledged
in February 2010, during the Milan Fashion Week,
as the first invitations to fashion shows arrived.
For me, that was already an unattainable goal.
The press attention came, too. Then followed TV.
A first article was published, then another twenty,
about fashion bloggers on an international level,
because they were starting drawing attention.
The fact that I was the only Italian fashion blogger with followers...
I also started to receive a lot of negative comments,
people would write to whatever brand I'd work for,
stating they hated their collaboration with me.
There created pages to make fun of me.
I was sad that people could not understand that what I did
had a value in itself.
I saw the results I had and I was very happy,
but I did not feel accepted by the fashion system in particular,
which is much snobbier than others.
Things are changing now but when I started
I was really a newcomer.
When I arrived in a event, I was among the youngest
and I did not know anybody.
They would do anything to make me feel uncomfortable.
Do you pay the IMU tax here?
- They have air conditioning! - What a beautiful life!
Do you have it?
When I was a child, I was 12 or 13, an article was published in Top Girl.
The first book you have read, my love!
Ouch! It's true.
At the beginning, for Chiara
it was not easy to access the highest levels of the fashion industry.
The luxury and fashion industries
have been among the last ones to convert to the digital world.
Actually they haven't completely converted yet.
The digital revolution is changing our relationships,
and the way we communicate.
Social media are peculiar in that they speak directly to end users.
In doing so, they bypass both critics and magazines,
and create a direct link between consumers and products.
- When will the site go offline? - On September 30th.
The site is what you saw.
We will have to create a landing page
stating we'll come back more beautiful than ever from October 20th.
- We'll have a 20-day breakdown. - But it's a technical aspect.
Will we run a giveaway to get more fans?
There has been a huge increase, they are 611 or 612 now...
- 613. - Yes, when the site is back online.
We can say: "Follow The Blonde Salad, there'll be good news soon."
So they'll follow.
When it's back online, we can do kind of a giveaway,
so people will go there and choose.
What should we do?
There they buy a little less, but you get so many views.
I think it could be...
"Be the first to get an exclusive item from the new 2018 Winter Collection."
Chiara will add this story.
We will build a story telling how the awarding works.
Who wins can take whatever is available in the online shop.
Yes, in my opinion, it will engage people.
- Well. Shall we look at the sales trend? - Yes.
Since January, when reorganization began, we have always been growing.
This is since the year zero of e-commerce.
When it started.
Paradoxically, that was the year we pushed more.
I took care of the posts myself.
There were posts and media attention.
Here sales are five times higher than in month zero.
Look at the January and July sales,
compare them to July of the previous year.
Until July 2018, when we broke a record.
- Yeah. - OMG!
Mine is a brand new job, for sure.
One I have created day after day, step by step.
And still, there are people asking "What's your job?"
It's still difficult to find
a way to describe what I do, especially to those
who don't use Internet or social networks as much as I do.
I usually say I am a digital entrepreneur,
and that I started as a blogger in 2009.
I am the CEO of my company,
whose name is TBS Crew.
My blog, which was only a diary in the past,
has become a real website,
with an editorial part.
There are people who write articles about fashion, runways, trends.
And there's an e-commerce area as well.
TBS Crew represents native digital talents,
where the first digital talent is me,
as a fashion, beauty and lifestyle ambassador,
but also as a digital marketing strategist,
as well as a simple influencer
who integrates products and experiences on social networks.
Since the very beginning of my career, I have been very selective
and I have said no to a lot of companies and contracts.
I wanted to preserve my integrity and my followers' trust.
This proved to be a successful strategy.
- You never find someone in this pool. - It's true.
- Where shall we sit? Here? - Wherever you prefer.
- Let's take a seat here. - I'll take a picture of you.
Beautiful.
This is owned by André Balazs, you know? Uma Thurman's former boyfriend.
- Really? - That handsome man! Yep.
I guess he also owns Standard.
I didn't know that.
The merchandiser of Chiara Ferragni Collection
sent me a plan we should look at together.
What's the idea? Having an older girl's taste.
The wink is still OK, but we could create a pattern.
Something like Gucci GG or Dior oblique.
It may be a wink but also CF.
- The pink pair of jeans is super cute. - Yeah, a lot.
The standard model size is not mine. Is it XS or S?
It's usually 38.
Can we try and get a bigger size for the samples?
- So I can try everything on. - Sure.
Even for the shoes, or can't they?
- What shoe size do they usually make? - 37.
- Yes, 37. - I don't know for the shoes.
Can we have all clothing items in size S or even M,
so I can try them and see how they fit?
OK.
The second company is Chiara Ferragni Collection,
a shoe, clothing and accessories brand founded in 2013.
Our collections are sold by over 400 retailers worldwide
and in 2019 we launched the first global makeup collection
in collaboration with Lancôme.
I had created this eye logo, I drew it myself, I liked it,
I started to put it on the shoes of the first season collection.
It has become the brand symbol, the brand logo.
Nevertheless, it evolved less that I did, as a person.
Chiara Ferragni Collection
has a turnover of about 40 million euro
and hires about 80 persons.
Chiara Ferragni is the entrepreneur behind her companies.
Her entrepreneurship has improved the profitability of her companies.
Here we are on the top floor.
Is this beautiful office yours?
- Here we are. - OMG!
I'm tired, I want to get rid of everything.
How did you start your business? You started it a long time ago.
What was it like to be a boss woman like you in those days?
You are not always successful, success doesn't always grow.
There are times when you lose something.
- Sure. - A little bit down, a little bit there.
The reason why I have always survived
is because of the relationship I have with myself.
Once you have this, you can lose everything,
you can lose beauty, money, everything, everything,
but you'll never lose your personality.
In your opinion, what is it like being a woman...
Would you have had the same success?
Would it have been easier
if you had been a man instead of a woman, for your career?
I didn't know what I would do,
but the important thing was being independent
and live the life of a man in a woman's body.
I think that women unintentionally set themselves limits.
This is not right,
because we need to follow our passions, our inclinations.
Being a woman and being successful can still be a guilt,
you must do twice as much as a man, you have to be much more prepared.
That is why successful women are really successful.
They can really go far.
I am pleased to make an additional announcement.
Yesterday Chiara has been appointed CEO of Serendipity, that is,
Chiara Ferragni Collection.
- We're pushing out the boat in September. - An amazing September!
Yeah!
This means that all the talks we have had so far,
dreaming of future scenarios, will soon come true.
We will need a stronger synergy between the two teams and the two companies
that work closely.
Thank you all for being by my side on this journey we have embarked on.
I owe you everything.
You make me feel as if we were a big family.
It's beautiful.
- Thank you. - Thank you.
Thanks, Chiara.
The idea everyone had
was that she put her face,
but the one who really made things happen was Riccardo.
It's The Blonde Salad's anniversary, isn't it?
Nine years have gone!
If we had to celebrate the day you became The Blonde Salad CEO, when would it be?
- I don't remember. - Neither do I.
It was October last year, but officially maybe...
Maybe it was 20th or 29th.
I don't remember but it was before the end of October.
For TBS I trusted Ricky.
Since I have taken the lead, he has never spoken to me again.
At a time when I was very weak, when I was about to give birth to Leo,
he was trying to sell his shares behind my back
in the worst way possible.
After that, he has became one of those people
I no longer respect, unfortunately.
Do you feel sorry for that?
Yeah, because you never really know people.
You think some people will be in your life forever,
people with whom you have shared so much,
then you realize that you do not know them enough,
especially when these power games are being played out.
If things change and a person loses power,
he or she ends up willing to become your worst enemy.
Ten days before she gave birth,
our lawyers called and said that Riccardo
had set up a new company,
to which he had moved all of his shares.
Except Chiara Ferragni Collection and TBS shares.
We suspected that he would sell the company behind Chiara's back.
This transfer of shares would end one day before Chiara gave birth.
To me, this was a complex issue to deal with.
Basically I did not want to make her worry.
And...
I kept the secret.
Five days after Leone was born, I told her about what happened.
She surprised me, as she told: "If I could bear this all"
"I can overcome any problems with Riccardo"
"or with other man standing in the way."
I think he broke with her forever,
because he understood that the woman he sought to be emancipated from
was actually emancipating herself.
She wanted and had to decide what her future would be,
and this future did no longer include Riccardo.
I can show even better
that you don't need a man to do all this.
You don't need a partner to do all this,
I mean, neither a partner in life or a business partner.
Whatever you want to do, you can do it alone,
without relying on any other person.
I'm 20 years old. I live in Monaco but I'm Italian.
I come from Mexico City
but three years ago or so I moved to Los Angeles.
As a child, when they asked me "What do you want to become?"
I used to answer: "I want to become like Anna Wintour"
"and Vogue editor-in-chief."
Today, my reply would be: "I want to be like Chiara Ferragni."
Every time she posts on Instagram,
I'm one of the first who likes and comments.
I like sharing what I do, my life, and posting stories
and in doing so I'm inspired by her.
Chiara is so popular because she is really authentic.
It's the first time a woman has taken the lead
and now SHE is in the spotlight.
What it is is not what it seems.
People decide to show what it seems.
But I am pretty sure that society, democracy,
need what it is.
Social media are leading us to what it seems.
In my opinion, we need rules.
Big international organizations are working towards it.
The Federal Trade Commission already did.
We need a code of ethics.
That's the Middle Ages of this transformation.
These are "dark" years,
controversial years,
with people becoming more and more familiar with media,
but when will Renaissance happen?
I think Chiara owns the Esperanto of modernity,
the natural language of social media.
This is probably part of her DNA.
The medium is her talent.
People criticize the content, but she is her own medium.
I'll throw it the swimming pool, can you imagine?
Can you turn the lights on? I'm here.
Thanks, Stefano.
You stay there, I'm staying here.
Three-quarter.
- Videos? - Yes.
- Ready? - One, two...
Thanks, I should be done.
Chiara shows herself.
The only character she can play is herself.
When you meet her, you're struck by her determination,
and above all, by her mystery, that is, the way her normality
becomes universal.
Chiara Ferragni is the elective daughter of Marina Abramović
and "The Big Brother".
She is a concept, the idea of showing oneself day and night,
pain and pleasure, failures and success,
tripping, heels.
She stages the story of her life,
the narrative of her existence, her truth,
but at the same time, you still want to know more about.
We still have to organize this music moment.
It could be a round of notes or real music.
A round of notes is fine.
I agree, it is quite short. Think about it.
- She goes like this then she sits down. - I'm just saying...
- May I say instrumental? - Yup.
"Amore che vieni, amore che vai."
- For Leo? It's a sad song. - It's the one I always have him listen to.
It's not sad, and it' only the music.
- "Buonanotte fiorellino". - They'll make it more fun.
- Can you play it with the guitar? - It's a super song.
When you're sure I'll tell the guys, they didn't know that, but they are...
It's a normal ballad.
All right.
- Leo will come forth. - Exactly. - Then Marina will come.
Marina and Leo will sit down, always going this way.
Why are her guests so many? Mine are only a few.
- I'm the bride, my love! - Three of us and eight of them.
Why? I want the 'groommaids', all the knights.
Ceskiello throwing petals.
Throwing molotovs.
Love, I'll be wearing a veil, which you'll have to lift.
- We'll tell you how to do it. - Who is going to lift it?
- He is. - A tutorial on how to lift a veil.
It's challenging. You'll have to put it right.
- She will climb stairs. - Where will he stop? Up the stairs?
I'll have to lift her veil. Is there a particular way to do it?
Nope, but if it gets stuck here it's shitty.
- You have to put it all down. - Sure, it can't be like Ku Klux Klan.
- Try, come on. - What?
You have to do this, give it a try.
Darling, it's a fucking veil! That's how you do it. Put it that way.
- You'll tell me that I'm beautiful. - I'll do, spontaneously.
- Or something like that. - Ok, spontaneously, I understand.
- That already moves everyone. - Do I have to shout it?
- You tell me, but they'll understand. - You are beautiful!
People will understand you told me something sweet.
OK, I'll whisper "bitch".
- No, don't! My love! - She'll have to put make up on.
- Yes, my love, come on! - It's you wasting time.
So Pardis comes with the music of "Wherever you will go".
- OK, do you agree? - What's that?
- I chose it, it's very beautiful. - Without telling me about it.
You said you wouldn't care, my love.
I have never said that.
"Wherever you will go" is a beautiful song.
For Leo, "Amore che vieni, amore che vai" by De André.
- Really? - In front of this altar.
- You have to take the groom's hand. - His hand!
- His hand! - His hand!
You realize how much a person means for you
when you change for him or her,
that is, when you understand you have to change that little something,
and you are keen to leave it behind for that person.
I did not live in Italy. I lived in Los Angeles.
I knew Federico... He was "Fedez" at the time.
I knew him by what my friends told of him.
They told that he was a big celeb in Italy and one of the most famous singers.
For the first time in my life
I found a partner who has understood my life,
that is somehow very peculiar,
and very difficult to understand for someone
who is not as exposed as you are.
We belong to contexts
that have been traditionally controlled by a patronage system,
where whom you know is a part of what you can reach.
In two different ways we have tried to overcome
sort of "fast tracks" and build our own future.
In was very hard at the beginning, we suffered the distance between us.
Then came a moment
when our agendas finally fitted each other.
We spent our first Christmas together
at my place in Los Angeles with my family.
It was very beautiful and that's when we became much closer to each other
and we understood that we weren't just flirting,
it was true love.
She expected me to write a song for her.
She did not expect a marriage proposal.
I organized my marriage proposal three weeks before the concert.
Unfortunately, one day before, we had a very big argument.
And therefore... I really did not know what she'd say.
We don't need rings to keep us together,
but maybe to ask you what I'm going to...
...maybe yes.
An easy-going bride.
- What a modern bride! - Modern is fine, but not that much!
- Let's put on that as well. - Yes, OK.
Let's go there.
Gaia, bridesmaid version.
- How shall we do it? - They'll show us.
- Wait, let's take a picture. - Marti, take a picture.
- Fantastic. - You did a great job.
- The veil? - Take a picture of this.
- The photographer takes natural pics. - Yes, indeed.
Now you can walk well, can't you?
When it's behind it's less annoying.
Well, yes, because in front it's a bit...
It's more difficult but...
Chiara, turn here.
- 14.2 million. - Is it?
Darling, it's 14.2.
Amazing!
They were 14 million on Tuesday morning.
Between Tuesday and Saturday I go 200k more.
Get closer.
Can you keep my phone? Who can? Password is 0705.
Don't post anything, but please take lots of pics and videos.
- Beautiful. - It's amazing.
How did it end?
I hope I'll cry nicely.
"Chiara and I first met 10 years ago."
"Not long after, I knew I'd love her forever."
"We were driving to Cremona, in a Fiat 500 that had been given to her free on loan."
"At a checkpoint, not only didn't she understand she had to stop"
"so she kept driving,"
"but when the policemen approached us,"
"as they didn't find her name in the documents, they asked"
'Whose car is it?'
"She replied: It is a Fiat car!"
I don't need to be loved by the world, I only need to be loved by one person,
and this person will always be you.
Bravo!
Bukowski said that human beings have two major faults.
The inability to be on time
and the inability to keep promises.
I cannot guarantee I'll always be on time,
but I promise I'll be there forever, even when I'm late.
I often dream of falling into the void.
I keep falling then I wake up just before I fall.
I have always been a little bit obsessed
by not being able to do something important,
not leaving a mark on the world.
I didn't want to become famous, this was not my goal,
but I wanted to do something that made some sense.
If everything goes as it should,
that is, I don't fail...
OMG!
If your job goes well, and so on,
I'll do this record and...
I mean, the idea is that...
Let me do the maths.
In this case I'm better than you, If you want I can help you.
- What do you mean? - I'm better at planning.
- Tell me exactly... - Are you better at planning?
I'm better at planning, subtracting and adding
and doing the maths.
- Did you put this in your curriculum? - Yeah, of course.
- It's the first item in my CV. - Well done.
I was saying, when the record and everything is done...
- Are you listening to me? - You'll be done in Sep, after the tour.
I don't know when it all will end, maybe in March next year.
In 2020.
We can collect our money and buy a nice house here.
In addition, I can sell mine and we can stay here for a year or two.
I couldn't live here now.
- Fuck, yes, I absolutely could. - Look, you would miss Italy.
- I don't know. - In my opinion, it's beautiful...
I don't know, we could have a sabbatical year,
which wouldn't be sabbatical, it would be productive anyway.
Without the tight schedules you have now.
- Without necessarily being based in Milan. - Shall we go there?
- OMG, what a strong wind! - Love, shall we go?
This thing... I don't know.
- If we don't go there, let's go back. - Where would you cross with a baby?
Stand in the middle of the road and block everything.
Bravo.
I don't see any car.
- Can I go? - Go.
Pretend you have a bodyguard headset.
- Bravo! - You can go.
All right, everything safe?
Do you think you could enjoy a sabbatical year?
It doesn't hurt.
Would you say: "I'm not going to accept any proposals?"
No, I wouldn't. It would be a slap in the face to the poor.
I wouldn't stay here for a long time. I would like to stay here for a month.
I think... a whole year free from commitments
to give other priorities, put your family first,
then your job.
Now it's not really like that. Understand?
During the last month of pregnancy I had this placenta problem.
Apparently, Leo was not growing enough.
It wasn't a serious problem but it wasn't the easiest thing to cope with,
especially for someone like me, a first time mom,
who had never stopped, and didn't know what was happening to her body.
I also talked with Fede about sharing this
or pretending nothing had happened and not sharing anything.
Social networks are with you 24/7 but you don't have to share everything.
There are so many things you can avoid sharing if you don't want to.
I think there is so much hating online,
which is a very bad thing, that can make you feel very bad,
but I felt that I had to share this.
I felt I had to tell this thing that had made me so scared.
I wanted to feel love around me,
I wanted to hear from other people to feel better.
At the same time, I wanted to share this thing
because it made me similar to my followers,
showing that my life was not always perfect, because it's not.
13 million followers
would have read and remember it.
Had it happened to them,
they would know I had already experienced it,
and that everything went fine, so it would have been easier for them.
Yes, this definitely is the power of sharing.
We read about people who have gone through a lot, though...
They still managed to give you strength, in spite of everything.
It's beautiful.
Peppa Pig is coming.
Where is salt?
Have you seen Fede's interview? So funny!
- I didn't see it! - Costanzo made me laugh my head off.
- He said things like... - He always asked questions...
And then he said: "Oh well, let's move on."
I don't know, he said he was against the fact that we post Leo's pictures.
Then Fede told him the placenta story,
and he said: "You're right, of course."
But he is one of the people who had said these things.
I remember he had made some harsh comments.
- Are you ready for the Fashion Week? - Leave him alone, please.
- No! - You are distracting him.
Good boy, tell me, what are you going to do?
Which runways are you going to?
I'm going to that one, too. Shall we go together?
- What a beautiful cake you took! - Let me see.
- It says "Leoncino". - Wow!
The Minions!
And this one! Look, love.
- Look. - How happy he is!
- Wow, have you seen it? - Do you want it?
- Have you seen it? - Do you want it?
But it is not edible, this cake is made of play dough.
- Have you seen it? - It's made of sugar paste.
So gorgeous! Have you seen it?
I have been harshly criticized
especially for showing Leo, my son.
Since he was born, he has always been photographed,
and his pics have been posted on social media.
We have always included him.
It wouldn't have been possible to avoid it.
It would have been too strong a sacrifice for me
not to post pictures about my reason for living,
because what I'm talking about is a positive message.
We thought that Leone is the son of two people
who are inevitably very much exposed and have decided to be.
Inevitably, he would have directly lived the same exposure.
Having to hide him, for people who tell their life,
would have been much more difficult than not doing it.
We are not exploiting him commercially.
We never used him for commercial purposes.
It could also mean not having 70 paparazzi every day outside.
If I tell you my life, magazines don't need to.
I'm doing it.
For us, it means living our life
in a context that is as normal as possible.
Showing that happiness is about relationships,
it's what you built through human relations.
We tell the story of two young parents
who are approaching this world.
We tell it to expel fears
that other young parents like us can feel.
When she had to have surgery, we have decided to tell it,
and through social networks
we got in touch with other people who had lived the same experience before.
It was important for us, because in our family nobody had.
Evidently, modern civilization has a problem of narcissism.
We have it, everybody has.
But the choices of a couple like ours
are not always meant to increase the number of followers,
nor create business opportunities, or earn something.
Success can be a collateral aspect of what we do.
Shall we go? Ready?
Three, two, one...
Go!
I think it's the biggest love you can feel,
but it is also scary,
because some situations are out of your control,
and so you don't know how it will go.
I think I am in a very privileged situation.
I think there are few moms who can decide
when they want to go back to work, how to work, which days,
and with whom they want to work.
I love travelling, I've always loved it.
I made my desire to travel part of my job routine.
Now travelling is different, of course.
I don't travel as light-heartedly as I did before.
You always travel with this feeling of...
I mean, I don't feel guilty, I don't have this feeling that much.
I know I'm doing the best thing for myself,
my career, and therefore also for my baby.
I think the key thing is having a mom satisfied with herself
who wants to be with her son but is not forced to.
Happy birthday to Chiara!
Happy birthday to Chiara!
Happy birthday to Chiara!
Happy birthday to Chiara!
Bravo!
Ever since I stayed with my parents, ever since they were still married
e we were all together, well, it's only now that I have rediscovered
the importance of having a home, a family, and being peaceful together.
This is more important than any trip, job, and anything else.
It's beautiful, because you feel safe inside,
I mean, you go back to your family.
When they were little, Chiara and Franci were much closer,
because of their two years age difference.
I always did my things by myself, and I always wanted to stay with them.
Chiara has always been a very protective child
of me, and also towards Franci.
We had a balance.
I am a little bit more introverted,
but thanks to her presence,
I could open myself more in some situations.
At the same time, we were spurred to do better than the other.
We've always had a good relationship, even when we were teens.
Chiara and I, but also with her sisters
have always had a very strong relationship.
We were very close.
Chiara suffered a lot for the separation,
because we had to sell the house where she lived
and buy two houses.
We used to spend a nice holiday together every year,
me, mom and our three daughters.
She also had to go to court,
because she was old enough to decide with whom she wanted to stay.
I think it was pretty hard for her.
However, even then she showed a strong character.
Hey, I'm here, too!
- Where is my beautiful Vale? - Hey, I'm here, too.
It's Francesca.
We are a very close family.
We've been through a lot but, yes, we are a very close family.
The relationship between the three of us is becoming stronger and stronger.
Without vulnerability beautiful things will never be built.
No one is so determined and wants to conquer the world
unless that thirst he/she feels comes from discrepancy, lack, and contrast.
We may never know
what event in Chiara Ferragni's life
made her so thirsty.
Who's watching me? I'll tell you something.
Come to New York because it is beautiful!
A friend's suggestion. Not to be missed!
I've always been a little bit obsessed
by becoming the best version of myself.
I know what my flaws are, and always try to overcome them,
also thanks to "The Chiara I would like", which is an idea I had,
I probably didn't make it up myself, but, anyway, I call her like that.
Thanks to this,
I always try to act as the person I would like to be would act.
I am anything but perfect
but you can't always be the winning character.
You can't always overcome any situation successfully,
then become strong, and know exactly how to behave.
I used to speak a lot
but, in turn, could hardly listen to the other people
or understand what was happening in their heads.
Now I'm trying to understand.
Maybe my perspective is not always the right one.
I'm always ready to face new challenges.
Many times, you can have your own idea of what your life is
but what happens to you in the long run can be so much better.
But maybe at the beginning you don't understand,
so you must be confident that what happens to you
has a meaning or will have a meaning, sooner or later.
Many times I didn't feel happy at all
or maybe I felt half happy.
I had two souls.
A soul would say: "What you are doing is right."
"What you are doing is new, revolutionary. You have to trust your instinct."
And the other soul would say: "No, you're not enough."
"You will go nowhere, you will only be disappointed."
"You will return to oblivion, no one will know who you are."
"Nobody will remember your name."
You have to cope with these two things,
and what can happen to your private life...
Some relationships don't work,
some friends or people you care a lot about will somehow betray you,
and will prove different from the people you thought they were.
These things make your certainties waver,
and you will feel blue.
But now, for everything that may happen to me,
I have a different strength, and a different awareness.
I know that I will be able to deal with it, I'll be able to live up to it.
This is so important.
I didn't have this awareness before, and I didn't believe it.
If I think about what my life will be like, well, I don't know what I'll do.
I don't know if I want to live in Milan or go back to Los Angeles,
or if we are going to move somewhere else.
I don't know if Leo is my 'one child' or if I have other children.
I wish I had other children.
I don't know what the relationship between Fede and I.
I don't know how my work will evolve, or what I will do in five years.
I get emotional about the things that happened to me,
because things are going very well,
and when things go very well sometimes you are scared.
Many times, you are afraid of happiness,
because you are afraid of not deserving it compared to others,
or you are afraid that something negative will happen and take it away from you.
But it's so important to learn how to enjoy that happy moment.
If I'm always happy
and enthusiastic in the morning as I am now,
then I've won everything.
Tell me about your... most secret dreams.
- What would you like to become? - A painter.
- A painter? - Yep.
- And why do you want to be a painter? - Because I like painting.
- Why do you like painting? - Because it takes so much imagination.
Besides being a painter, what will you do?
