i'm loz also known as mama or lozzie

also known as jossie which our first
video we are going to take you on a day

in the life of what it looks like for us
for two mums living in the north

Usually we go for a morning walk and we
were going to take you, but this girl

had other plans, didn't you?

Yeah. What did you want to do this
morning?

You wanted to sit on the couch and read
books.

So that's all right.

We've got to be flexible.

We're going to walk this afternoon
instead.

But usually part of our morning routine
is going on a walk, especially at the

moment. It gets very hot, doesn't it?

We try and get out there in the morning.

Lauren works from home, so she starts...
At what time do you usually

start?

Mary's usually at 7.30.

Yeah, you usually start at 7.30 and are
at home together.

So we get up to all sorts of different
adventures during the day, get out and

about. So we don't have much planned
today, but... See what happens.

We've also just weaned.

bubby's first feed of the day so we've
changed our routine now where normally

i'll be the one that gets up with her
just to get her going and then yeah

we'll go for a family walk or sort of
start our day and i usually get a coffee

brought to me in bed very lucky wife i'm
good to you all right

one of the gayest things we've ever done
is build mud kitchen all made from

roadside rubbish we found the sink and
the pallets and the lozzie got her

tools out built whole thing even has a
working cat doesn't it bubba say hi meow

meow ears yeah she's got ears doesn't
she

Knock, knock, knock. Can I come in? No.
Oh, my God.

You don't like this doll.

Who else can come in? Bubby actually
really loves having her hair done, so

she calls the little elastics cutes, so
she'll ask me to put the cutes in her

hair.

She actually just loves making a big
mess with these, with her cutes.

Don't you?

Mm-hmm.

The little ponytail actually kills me.
Like, look at that.

It's so cute.

Should we put the apple down while you
do your trick?

No. No, okay.

Oh,

you want me to take that bit off?

Yeah, you don't like those bits. I
literally just had to bite the apple

core out of the apple and then just
throw it in the bush because toddlers.

Ow.

All by yourself.

Did you do that all by yourself?

Stick.

That would make me so dizzy.

You can walk to the park by yourself,
can't you?

Yeah. What are we reading, Bubba?

Yeah,

you just asked for the Mummy and Mama
book. We're actually going to try and go

back to our wedding venue when we're in
Tuscany in April. So we get to take

Bubby there and show her where we got
married.

Bubby really loves this photo of my
parents having a cuddle, which is so

cute. Hello. Hello. How's work going?
Work's going well. It's been busy, but

it's good. I'm having a quick coffee
break.

It's technically your lunch break.

Technically lunch break, yeah.

Snacking all morning, haven't we? I
don't really know where we're at with

the day, but yes, yes, just having a
quick little break now and having some

chats. How do you find working from home
with your girls around?

I love it. It's like the best way. I
think it's like such a privilege as a

parent to be able to have a job that you
can work from home. Like I think it's so

nice to be able to surf out and I'm
immediately with my girls. It kind of

feels like I'm not.

away from the action too much of the day
i think it's really helpful like i

remember it was once a time an incident
we had a dead bird a broken

glass and a pooey nappy all happening in
in one moment and like this thing

sorry i told this just pouring water

And as you can see, things just happen.
And it's like things like that where you

just think like having two hands. I
think really you almost always need two

pairs of hands.

But in those moments, it's just so
helpful. So I'm just so glad I get to be

part of it.

Even if it's sometimes just changing
your nappy or stepping out and doing

something to make your day a bit easier.
We're very lucky.

We're very lucky. I have mama at home.
Yeah, I love it.

It's hectic.

I won't lie.

You work hard.

No, yeah, I work hard. Thank you. But
it's hectic.

toddler sleeping we're gonna have some
chats that was a bit of an effort to get

it to sleep today usually she goes to
sleep at like ideally like

11 a.m it's currently 2 17 yeah so not
good today and now

it's kind of pushed it a little bit far
into the evening so it's kind of like a

guarantee that We'll be up pretty late.

Minimum 9pm, but that's okay.

Yeah, it is what it is.

It's just a season of our lives.

Well, I should nap in.

Let's chat a bit about a few more things
here. Why are we filming this? Why are

we doing this?

I guess we've got a little bit of a
following on TikTok. So we thought, why

not give YouTube a go?

We kind of like the...

the slower pace, a bit more of an
opportunity to document just the day-to

-day and, I guess, I don't know, record
little moments of our family.

There's a little bit more storytelling
involved in, I guess, making vlogs and

YouTube.

A bit of a creative element for both of
us to give it a bit of a go. A bit of a

hobby. A bit of a hobby. We love a
hobby. Yeah, it's something we can do as

a family, like a fun thing to do.

for the two of us and have our daughter
with us with her too and i think we like

to think of it as what could it be like
for her to look back on it one day and

we've got some trips coming up too so we
thought yeah um be a good way to

document them yeah so we're gonna have a
go at it give it a give it a little shot

i guess it's like how did we become a
mom that's probably its own video in

itself yeah we'll definitely make a
video um on our

IVF story and how we got to this point
basic story is the basic

version of the story but I carried and
we used Lauren's egg and clinic

recruited donor yeah so

i've been mums now for officially mums
for 18 months but i guess because of

that journey we've kind of feels like
we've been mums for a lot longer we

froze embryos a while before we actually
transferred so i guess yeah we've had

that journey happening in the background
yeah we did all that before our wedding

actually yeah so our little bubby was in
the freezer while we were getting

married in italy

Many, many comments. Which is another
story. Which is another story that we

might have to do a video on. Yeah. We've
got a few things to catch everyone up

on. We've got some stuff to talk about,
don't we? We've got some things to

share. So together for a while now.

18 months. 18 months. If you call that a
while.

Feels like a while. Some would say we're
still very fresh.

Some would say.

If you look back at footage of us from
our wedding to now, some would say we've

aged.

Another good point about why we want to
make a YouTube channel, or why we have

made a YouTube channel, is getting that
visibility of a family that looks like

ours out there.

We're not going to be the first ever
family, or even two mum families,

YouTubing. There's obviously a lot out
there.

I think everyone's family is going to
look a bit different and like I know

when we were starting our family I'd
like seeing what other people's families

look like and what they did and I'd like
to think about like when I was younger

what how much it would have meant to me
and how much I would have loved watching

a family like ours so yeah I don't know
hopefully someone out there gets to

watch it and sort of see what our life
looks like and the nice thing about our

family is we're just very boring and
normal

Even though we are two mums and kind of
multicultural family, I guess there's, I

don't know, hopefully like a
peacefulness or a coziness in someone

younger looking at this kind of boring
domestic life and thinking, well,

maybe I could have that one day. I hope
that we could reach someone like that.

Yeah, I think there's like some beauty
in the boring. Yeah.

We do fun things, don't get me wrong.
We're not boring people.

But we're just a domestic little family.

We're wives.

I like how we live our lives. It's
really lovely and beautiful, but I think

it's just our lives. And that's what
we're going to share with you all.

What can you expect to see, Lozzie, on
our channel? Do you know yet?

No, no idea.

Whatever you tell me, we're going to put
on this channel? Yeah, that's kind of

the way things go in this household,
isn't it?

Maybe vlogs.

Vlogs for sure.

A bit about our background.

Things like our IVF journey and
pregnancy and birth.

Our travel. For sure.

I think we're going to hit it hard for
our Europe trip. Slash maybe anything

else anyone wants to say. So maybe let
us know what you'd like to say and we'll

do what we can.

let's just hope this nap is a long one
because I, after... No, you don't

because otherwise we're going to be
awake for... Yeah.

It's always going to be a late night,
so... Once you get them to sleep, you

want to enjoy the nap time, but then you
know if it goes too long... You lose

your evening.

It's just going to eat into your evening
time when they don't go to sleep.

Yeah. Yeah. At least we get to hang out
while she's napping still anyway. Yeah,

yeah, it's nice.

I guess my mindset over...

anything to do with sleep is just
thinking about how bobby feels during

those moments where she's just up in the
evening and she's just chatting to us

and she's just thinking how wonderful it
is she gets to spend time with her moms

and yeah i guess that's like her
favorite thing to do so i try and shift

my mindset to thinking oh my god i wish
you just go to sleep too yeah how lucky

am i to

get to do this with you because you're
having the best time ever and also it's

like it's not about ruining our evening
it's just about no she doesn't ruin it

yeah yeah we we've been we've been on a
sleep journey and we've

also like recently been watching better
call soul that is true we're in the

final season right at the end of that so
we would like a little bit of evening

time Yeah, especially because they're
long episodes. And if you start at like

9.30, it ends up being a bit of a late
night. But we're also locked into the

last season. And so we kind of want to,
if you've watched it, you know that the

momentum's there.

And it's hard to have to wait and try to
watch it before having kids. We would

have just watched the whole series in
like a couple of days. So that's okay.

It's a bit of a delayed gratification
situation.

And we will keep you posted on how we
feel about the finale maybe.

I always get the Nutella.

Yeah, I like usually something that's
kind of some kind of fruit. Fruity.

Yeah, fruity.

I'm more of a chocolatey. I'm a fruity
gal. So I reckon I'm going to go either

a mango or a strawberry or any other
yummy fruity options that they have.

And then we'll go home, have dinner.

And then we've got a little bit of a
routine where one of us will do bath

time and then the other one cleans up.
So we'll do that this afternoon.

And that's just a bit of a swapsy kind
of situation.

We kind of just alternate that one
depending on what we're vibing for the

day.

Usually you like to do bath time because
you spend most of the time with Bubby

throughout the day.

Very true.

What did you get? Okay, I've got mango
and Nutella.

And Barbie is ready to go. She's ready
to dig in.

Should I help you with that one?

Yeah. Yeah. Yummy.

And, Lozzie, you very conveniently get a
flavour that I like. Work smarter,

not harder.

The tables have turned. I've been
pit-pocketed. My ice cream. Turns out

she does like my ice cream.

Can I have my ice cream back?

I think what happened was when...

Ours was coming to an end and she
realized that she then needed to take

this. Okay.

I think that's Bubby's ice cream now.

It is hot.

Update.

It was a late night.

And Bubby's asleep now.

Yeah, she made us work for it. She made
us work for it. But that's okay.

So we're going to go to sleep now.

It was too late to watch. But we'll try
again another night.
