how many cars are in the area,

many of us go into it.

out from this job

Fugitive Operations team
covers a huge county.

A designated team is
always working every day,

and that's the
problem right now,

in particular with
Mecklenburg County.

We don't have cooperation
from our local sheriff here.

For us to get anywhere close to

arresting the number of
people that we need to remove,

it's a 24/7 operation.

strategically place our cars

where we have access to
all entries and exits.

- Sanctuary cities
protect criminals

at the expense of
American citizens.

invader released again

at the hands of state
and local officials.

This is happening all
over this country.

- A sanctuary
jurisdiction is a location

that does not
cooperate with ICE,

and that is a huge
public safety threat.

There are so many
local police leaders

that want to get these
public safety threats

out of their neighborhood,

but because of
laws, regulations,

or sometimes just
even political views,

they don't let
cops work with ICE.

And that's just wrong.

Instead of working with ICE,

local, state, and
other federal officials

release that public
safety threat

that they arrested back into
the community to do more harm.

That is a prime example of

what a sanctuary jurisdiction
does for public safety.

The target for this operation
is a Guatemala national

suspected in the
country illegally.

He's accused of molesting
a 13-year-old girl.

Appears that they got
a warrant sworn out

for the criminal offense
and he's fled to Norristown.

- So, we had a guy,
suspected target,

coming out of the house

are getting questioned right
now by our authorities.

started up these,

and they come out and
respond and harass.

If our guys are spotted on
the street, they'll come out

They'll kind of impede

We haven't had any
issues of assault yet.

Most of the field guys
are wearing their masks

just to cover our identity,

because everything's getting
pushed out in this area

onto a social media site.

listing personal information

of ICE agents.

- These men and women are
not covering their faces,

because they're ashamed
of what they're doing.

- They've been doxed,
or family's been doxed,

or lives been threatened.

Their families have
been threatened.

- Our officers wearing masks
has become a big issue.

And it's sad,
because if you talk

to any of the guys and gals
that are out there working,

like they don't want
to have to wear a mask.

It's uncomfortable.

They're not wearing their
masks to protect themselves.

They understand what
they signed up for.

They understand that
this is a dangerous job.

The problem is, is that it's
not just about them anymore.

When it's getting down
to they're worried about

their spouse, their wives,
their husband, their kids,

their parents, brothers,
sisters, all that.

We've seen some
doxing starting here.

We're seeing some happen in
other parts of the country.

If that wasn't happening,

I don't think the officers
would wear those at all.

- The individuals that we
just took into custody,

they came and
picked a target up.

One has been previously
deported from the United States.

One is illegally in the US,

so we're taking them in
for immigration custody

and we received information

that the target is
still in this house.

As you can see,
everybody's filming,

not really hindering our arrest,

but obviously,
taunting the officers.

You're cowards.

It's on your waist.

because you're not freaking ICE.

amendment right to protest,

but you know, this could

or could have turned in
different direction so.

with on a day-to-day basis.

are taking the door
on a criminal warrant.

They have the target
in custody right now.

So, they're clearing
the rest of the house.

other people were in there?

take all the illegals.

Target's in custody, he'll be
going with the US marshals.

There was the two
individuals that we took

that were affiliated with a
target at the other location,

plus this individual
living in the house

who is also illegal.

So, we're taking
him into custody for
immigration purposes.

It's another sanctuary case,

which could have been
handled in the prison.

However, without
having cooperation

from these certain
jurisdictions, we're
out on the street.

- If we can't arrest a bad guy

in the safety and security
of the county jail,

we going to arrest
him in the community.

And when we arrest
him in the community,

if he's with others that
are in the country legally,

they're coming too.

- Unfortunately, sanctuary
jurisdictions are the norm now

and that is a huge hamper
for ICE's mission day to day.

We would much rather
arrest these individuals

in a safe, detained location

where it's not only
safer for my officers,

but it's safer for the community

and it's safer for that
criminal alien to be arrested.

You can have an individual
hide in plain sight,

because you have a
local jurisdiction

that will allow a child sex
offender, a human trafficker

back on the street instead
of working with ICE,

because they're trying to use

law enforcement as
a political tool.

One of them has conviction
for drug trafficking.

We have reason to believe
that these people are here.

So, we are waiting for
the vehicles to come out.

Hopefully, it's gonna

main targets today.

He's a Mexican citizen.

He has very serious conviction

for manufacture and delivery
of control substance.

He's gonna be transported
for processing later on

and then transported to the
detention center for removal.

- In New York City
over the weekend,

an off-duty border patrol agent

was shot in the
face by an illegal.

- [Reporter] Sanctuary
policies kept ICE agents

from taking them into custody.

- An ICE detainer is a request
for that local jurisdiction

that has now identified,
or come across,

or arrested someone that's
in the country illegally.

What we're asking is for
that police department

to hold that individual,

so one of my officers can safely

take that person into custody.

- [Reporter] You're watching
an incredibly rare interaction

as the jail in Los Angeles

transfers an illegal
alien to ICE custody.

- We're gonna flood the
system with warrants

for criminal illegal immigrants
that are in county jails.

They can ignore a detainer,

but they cannot ignore a
criminal arrest warrant.

- Operationally, when
a local jurisdiction

fails to honor an ICE
detainer, not only

does it release the criminal
alien back to the streets,

it is making a neighborhood,
city, or state unsafe.

(tense)

- All right, good
morning, everybody.

Our two targets
today are gonna be

Miguel Quintana Flores
and Saul Quintana Flores.

Both have been previously
removed more than once.

We're gonna reinstate
that final order.

Both were encountered
during an incident

back in March, 2025.

They were at a restaurant
during afternoon hours,

got an altercation
with somebody,

followed them to the restroom,
stomped them pretty badly,

including the neck area,
and fled the scene.

They were encountered by CMPD.

We lodged our detainer,
they didn't honor it,

they bonded out
and now we're here.

- This case, Mecklenburg County,

the sheriff has
made it clear that

they don't wanna work with us.

He just doesn't believe

that our immigration
detainer is a legal document.

Meaning, it's because it's
administrative, that it's an ask

and Congress hasn't
mandated that it be honored.

He wants us to obtain a
criminal arrest warrant

in order for him to turn over
the alien to our custody.

(suspenseful music)

- [Officer] They have
movement right now.

He's driving in a
truck and a trailer.

We have a vehicle that
is gonna box him in.

We plan to do a felony
vehicle stop right here.

- [Maria] Because of
this type of arrest,

when there's
threats of violence,

we're gonna stack up a team.

You never know how an
arrest is gonna go down.

So, we need to make sure

that when we are
approaching the vehicle,

we're more cautious
and are prepared

for resistance or fighting.

- [Officer] Come

I understand that you
did not have a visa.

In our custody right now we
have one of the brothers.

We are not sure where
that other brother lives.

He claims that his
brother's not here,

that he's been gone
for the past two weeks,

but we'll try to see
if there's any way

we can try to get him to give us

more information
about his brother.

- I think, we should keep
eyes on this vehicle.

- Because as a
concrete business,

they have a lot of expensive
equipment in there.

If the brother is here,

that he's gonna want
to pick up his stuff.

- The other brother's
a bigger fish, right?

- So, if we can figure out,

articulate about getting
this truck, you know,

and maybe the brother shows up.

- Yeah. I think, we drive
this down to that mobile.

We can watch it
for a little bit.

See if he pulls up

and then conduct an
arrest on him as well.

37-year-old Renee Goode

was shot and killed by
a federal ICE agent.

- [Reporter] Federal
officials say she was trying

to run over ICE agents,

so one of them fired three
shots in self-defense.

- [Reporter] The ICE agent
suffered internal bleeding

and was hospitalized after she
clipped him with her vehicle.

- [Reporter] Federal
agents say the agent,

"Feared for his life."

- [Reporter] Democrats however,

have condemned the
shooting as a murder.

- [Reporter] Since then,
the federal government

has surged hundreds more
agents into the city.

- [Reporter] Protests in
every corner of the country.

- [Reporter] In Seattle,

protestors shot
fireworks at police.

- Some of these protestors
have gotten violent.

- [Reporter] A mob assaulting
four agents in San Francisco.

- [Reporter] Yet another example

of violence against
immigration agents.

- Lately, I think
the hardest part

is just kind of navigating

and remaining focused
on the mission

when we have so many kind of

outside sources
coming down on us.

We're kind of an easy
boogeyman for a lot of people.

- Don't you (beep)
tell me what to do.

- We're enforcing the
law that's on the books

and these laws aren't something

that has just been created
this past administration

and the largest change
in immigration laws

happened like back in '96.

So, there really hasn't been

a substantial change since then.

(dramatic music)

- In Seattle, we do have
some unique challenges.

Almost every office
has been affected with

some sort of graffiti,
or broken windows

or cars that are
breaking into it.

We had never had a
protest at this building

since it's been
here for 22 years,

and it was our first time.

In early July, we had a large
protest at this building.

Some protestors managed
to get past our fencing

and they decided that artwork

was needed on the
side of our van.

So, they also decided that
busting out our windows,

taking out the headlights,

and two of the
tires were slashed.

So, what they were trying to do

is they were trying to get
us to stop doing our jobs.

And it doesn't, the
vehicles that are damaged,

just like regular insurance,

get totaled and then we
get brand new vehicles,

but at a cost to the taxpayers.

(dramatic music)

- So, this morning
we have an individual

that entered the
country illegally.

He was locked up for aggravated
assault, strangulation.

We lodged the detainer, and
because the sanctuary policies

in the city of Philadelphia,

they released this individual

without turning him
over into our custody.

And therefore, we have
to send these teams,

which encompasses our
enforcement removal

deportation officers,

as well as HSI, FBI,
DEA, Border Patrol.

(ominous music)

hopefully, the door.

We get the individual
into custody,

we receive confirmation
that the wife is

in fact in the
house with the baby.

So, we're good to take the
detainee back to the office.

- The men and women of
ICE are human beings.

They're mothers, fathers,

and when they see other
children in distress,

it's heartbreaking.

They approach their job in
a safe and humane faction,

while ensuring that we
comply with the law.

The ICE officers do the
best at balancing both,

being a compassionate
human being

and being a solid law
enforcement officer.

And that's what
makes America safe.

(suspenseful music)

- The team's coming
back with the individual

that we locked up.

We'll take him in
upstairs for processing,

fingerprint, photographs,
and serve any documents

that we need to
have served on them.

(elevator beeping)

When we take an
individual into custody,

we're not just deporting them.

If they do have an
order of deportation,

they can appeal their case

to the Board of
Immigration Appeals.

They can go to circuit courts
to appeal those decisions.

Some of the cases
that we do arrest,

they are final
orders of removal.

Some just take an
order of removal

and want to return
back to their country.

But we ensure that everyone
is handled with care.

- Sanctuary jurisdictions
don't wanna work with ICE.

Now, we have to fly
these individuals

to a safe and humane location

to remove them from
the United States.

And sometimes it's
away from the location

where they're arrested.

Oftentimes, we hear that people

aren't receiving
their due process,

because their legal
team is not close by,

their family can't visit.

Well, the problem is that
a lot of elected officials

just refuse to work with ICE

and won't let us keep those
people in the communities,

when it could be done
safely in that jurisdiction.

ICE has to keep
continuing the admissions,

especially in these
sanctuary jurisdictions,

because these criminal aliens,

if they're not
turned over to ICE,

can just go back and
keep re-offending.

- In the beginning of my career,

there was some cities that
were sanctuary cities,

but the local guys were still
able to help and assist us.

As the years progressed

and immigration became
more of a hot topic,

postures of certain
states have changed

and now became sanctuary states

where the local PD to assist ICE

has been pretty much stopped.

And that's where we're at today.

This will be the last stop
before they're actually removed

to an international ICE plane.

So, what's gonna happen here is

custody will be transferred
from us to the plane.

They'll be sent with their
property, their belongings,

their money, all
their information

to the next staging facility.

- We are gathering up a
bunch of folks that are ready

to be moved from our
area of responsibility

over into other
staging facilities for
them to be removed.

These vans are
coming from the jails

that we're housing the folks in,

which are six, seven,
eight hours away.

So, these folks have been up
literally since yesterday.

And the jails have
been preparing

to get these people
ready to go for removal.

Now, that we're putting people

in the plane today
to be removed,

we got our officers out in
the field making more arrests

to come in and do that
same process over again.

- We're taking 'em away from
their families immediately.

They get pretty upset with us

once we explain the fact
that in the state of Maryland

there's no detention
center that houses aliens.

That's the first thing
they complain about is,

"I'm not gonna have
a support mechanism.

How am I gonna get my
stuff when I need it"

Or when ICE actually
request like a document,

it becomes trouble.

This way, they're doing it
far away from their families,

and this is unfortunate.

This is how we have to do
and conduct a business.

He's a male from Mexico.

He has multiple
arrests for drugs.

He's being removed twice.

We have information
and we believe that

he's back into the US.

We are sitting here
close to the house.

We have a team of four agents
doing surveillance right now.

Once he move out of
the neighborhood,

we can do a vehicle stop.

- So, the main target is the
man, but she's also a target.

I hope that they both
get in the same car

because we don't know

Miguel's gotta move shortly.

he already know his
brother was arrested

and he's gonna be on high
alert no matter what now.

- This is the hardest part
is just sitting and waiting.

But it's part of it,
especially in cases like this

monitor on him.

So, we're just waiting for
any movement from that.

It's just showing it in
this general location.

They're not sure, if
that's him or not.

He's probably getting anxious
like he wants to leave.

and he entered illegally.

sanctuary policies

they released this individual

without turning him
over into our custody.

- It's not very helpful
to the community at large

when we're leaving some of
these public safety threats

in the communities
to re-offend again.

- Sanctuary city
implementation is destructive

for American cities and
the people who live in it.

- Tax dollars,
resources and time

have been allocated
to illegal aliens,

because our city
has been magnetized

for illegal immigration
through the sanctuary policies.

- The lack of cooperation
really makes us

utilize a lot more resources

and puts us into
the communities more

when we could just pick
somebody up from a jail.

gang has used open US borders

to build deep roots in
several American cities.

- It has hurt our
infrastructure.

It has hurt a city
that is already facing

an astronomical amount of crime.

- [Sam] Places that do cooperate

makes it easier to
achieve public safety.

- With over 350,000
arrests last year,

more than 70% of
those individuals

we either charged with a crime

or had pending criminal charges.

If every jurisdiction
cooperated,

it would have a
significant impact

within the borders
of the United States.

- [Sam] ICE has
always been one of

the smallest federal law
enforcement agencies.

Our goal is to get
as many as we can.

We have only about 5,500
deportation officers

versus 1.5 million
in criminal aliens.

ramping up immigration

made 300,000 arrests.
