Well, l'd previously been involved

written on the wall.

So that stuck very heavily in my mind.

So l went back in the house and walked
over to Sharon Tate, and l heard sounds.

What kind of sounds were they?

Gurgling sounds, like blood flowing
into the body out of the heart.

What did you do then?

l picked up the towel,
turned my head and touched her chest...

...and at the same time,
l saw that she was pregnant.

And l knew that there was a living
being inside of that body, and l wanted to...

...but l didn't have the courage
to go ahead and take it.

l took the towel
with Sharon Tate's blood...

...walked over to the door,
and with the towel wrote ''pig'' on the door.

And when we got back to the ranch,
Charlie was waiting for us.

He wanted to know
what we were doing home so early.

Tex told him basically
what we had done. He said:

and l went to bed.

hold the woman down.

We found out later
it was Rosemary LaBianca.

Leslie was helping Katie hold the woman
down because she was fighting...

Then Katie said she went
in the living room with a fork in her hand...

...looked at the man's stomach,

She said she carved

to describe the establishment.
