This is a typewriter, and this is the
boss of the girl who types on that

typewriter. Do you blame her for wanting
to get away from it all?

Petrina was looking forward to her
weekend holiday, but she had no idea it

was going to be a nudist holiday.

Her never-to-be-forgotten adventure
begins one Friday afternoon in the

office in the little English town where
Petrina worked from 9 to 5.30, five days

a week.

But Trina, as you can see for yourself,
is a very pretty but prim English girl,

and going to a nudist camp for the
weekend was certainly the furthest thing

from her mind.

Why, if anyone had suggested to her that
barely 24 hours later she would become a

member of a sun club on the Cornish
coast, she would have said it could

never happen.

But it could, and it did.

Although we fully appreciate your
position, our clients deeply regret that

we are unable to supply you with the
equipment you require without first

receiving your initial payment.
Petrina's boss had a face like a clock.

No, on second thought, the clock looked
better.

Petrina wasn't planning to go on her
holiday alone.

Petrina and Jackie went everywhere
together.

except shopping for shoes.

This was because of women like this one
with the wide hips and feet to match.

You see, Jackie works in a shoe store,
and invariably, she gets a customer who

wants to put her size 8 tootsies into a
size 6 shoe.

Unfortunately, that isn't the way nature
intended.

Jackie's an outdoor girl, loves to swim
and dance and play tennis, but...

Does she even suspect that she's going
on a nudist holiday?

Hardly.

I'm sorry, there's nothing here to do.

This is Petrina's roommate Pam the third
member of these three lovely musketeers

Hooray! It's finally 5.30, and Petrina
can kiss her typewriter goodbye.

Well, that's certainly better than
kissing old Sourpuss.

Well, we finally got one girl on the
way.

And here's our number two girl, Pamela.

Her strenuous day of rehearsal is over.

Petrina has managed to borrow a friend's
car, and fun in the sun lies ahead.

How, you must be asking, did a sedate
little secretary like Petrina and a

patient shoe clerk like Jackie and an
exotic dancer like Pamela all become

confirmed nudists at the very same time?

We really should follow them and see.

But first we have two more girls to
meet, Bridget and Angela.

It's funny, the fellas that fill up my
gas tank and wipe my windshield sure

don't look like them.

Maybe it's because they're fellows.

If you're wondering if Bridget and
Angela are going to become nudists too,

the answer is no.

N-O.

That's because they already are.

They belong to a sun club in Cornwall,
and that's where they're planning to

spend their weekend.

After a hard day at the rehearsal hall,
there's nothing like a refreshing

shower. And for once, there's enough hot
water.

Steams the glass up something terrible,
doesn't it?

Petrina, who's made herself comfortable,
announces that tea is ready.

Very British, those British.

Well, out of the hot shower.

and into a hot cup of tea.

Are the girls going to hit the road
right away?

Of course not.

They're planning to start bright and
early in the morning. And like all

women, they've decided everything,
except where they're going and which way

they'll go.

After all, if you don't leave something
for the last minute, you'll have nothing

to do then.

Who says women aren't logical?

For a change, though, they decide it
might be best to look at some maps, as

if they could read them.

To the average woman, a road map is the
piece of paper that her husband points

to after the dumb clucks lost his way.

Of all places, the girls decide to drive
to Stonehenge first, then pick up the

North Devon route from there.

Don't ask me where that is. I haven't
the remotest.

The next morning showed up on schedule,
and so did the girls, all set to pick up

Jackie, the baby of the trio.

Little does her mother know that her
darling daughter is going to have a

darling time at a darling little nudist
camp.

And why not?

Well, they're off for the weekend
they'll never forget.

Would you mind terribly if I called in
an old English friend of mine to tell

you blooming Americans about their trip?

I say there, Cedric.

Cedric, old boy, come in London.

Ask anyone which way they drive to
Cornwall and you'll get the answer

across Salisbury Plain and past
Stonehenge.

That's my chum, Cedric.

He doesn't speak bad English for an
Englishman, does he?

Carry on, old boy.

This strange and ancient monument seems
to hold a deep fascination for everyone.

It is certainly the oldest monument in
Britain.

Her boss must be twins.

No two guys could look that much alike,
or want to.

He's just here to see the stones aren't
stolen.

They never have been yet, but they might
have been if he didn't take them home

with him each night.

Oh, that's a jolly one.

Once upon a time, people thought these
stones had flown through the air,

brought by Merlin, the magician.

Later, they believe the stones were
placed here by the Druids long, long

ago.

Researchers have shown that neither of
these stories are true.

Stonehenge is very much older than that.

The earliest findings give the date as
being in the middle of the Bronze Age,

even before the fall of Troy.

Cedric, you are pulling my leg.

If you're interested, the stone's
measurements are 108, 78, 53.

I'll treasure that bit of information.
The largest stone is almost 25 feet

high. You keep worrying about the
measurements of a stone, and I'm not so

sure they'll always be in England.

an old-fashioned mustache twiddler.
Mighty hard to come by one of them these

days.

While our three non-Nudists are
collecting rocks, Bridget and Angela are

getting away from the automobiles
they've been servicing all week.

These two are strictly cross-country
walkers, which you must admit is mighty

nice for the country.

Uh-oh.

Methinks this fool is fascinated, like
we are, by Bridget's red shorts.

No, Elmer. Don't get any ideas.

Hurry, girls.

Elmer may forget his good English
manners.

Katrina and Jackie and Pam prefer a
hotel, but not Bridget and Angela.

They'll take a friendly haystack any
time.

The overnight rates are surprisingly
low, and there's no tipping.

Meanwhile, back at the hotel, it's all
out for swimming.

Isn't it lucky the place has a pool?

Go ahead, girl.

Wash all you want.

I'll duck under an umbrella.

The face on that waiter looks vaguely
familiar.

It is familiar.

It's him.

The mustache tweaker. Between his boss
with the face like a clock.

In the drink with a blighter.

Imagine.

Triplets who look like him.

Well, at least we know that the fruit's
been washed.

And so has he.

Well, it's high time that Cedric went
back to work again.

Hi-ho, Cedric. You're on.

It's the famous Lorna Dune coach outside
the well-known Hoops Inn.

Into the cliff is the picturesque
fishing village of Clovelly.

The half-mile hill, which constitutes
the main street, was once the bed of the

old watercourse.

transport is still the main means of
bringing goods to and from the harbor.

Charles Kingsley lived here with his
father who was the rector and loved by

the fisher folk.

Who says it doesn't pay to be a jackass?

Nobody who looked like that ever gave me
a lump of sugar.

Our five girls almost met each other.

Now, Cedric, my boy, do tell the good
people about Yon Seawall.

The key was built in the 16th century by
George Carey, which made Plavelly the

only safe harbor between Appledore and
Boss Castle.

Continuing their journey, now across to
the southwest coast, Pam, Jackie, and

Petrina visit Fourth Kernow, very near
the extreme tip of England.

In addition to its wonderful coastline,
Fourth Kernow boasts a fine open-air

theater.

Cut into the rock of the cliffs, the
Minak Theater is designed like the old

Greek amphitheaters, with the open
backstage, in this case, bounded by the

blue of the sea.

It looks as though there's a rehearsal
in progress, but the producer's glad to

have an audience.

At the end of each season, the names of
the productions are cut into the backs

of the stone seats.

Thus, the auditorium holds a permanent
history of the theater.

Hey, he must be the guy who put the ham
in Hamlet.

What's he saying?

Now is the winter of my discontent, made
glorious summer.

of their predicament.

legendary home of King Arthur.

On the western slopes, the ruined walls
are so worn and weather-beaten, one

might almost think that the castle was
raised out of the natural rock by hands

other than man's.

Once a great impregnable fortress, it
was nevertheless built upon the site of

a Celtic monastery overlooking the broad
Atlantic, dating from about 500 AD.

I'm sorry, girl, but Cedric tells me
that's the only way up to Merlin's cave.

Well, now that our girls are beginning
to enjoy the outdoor life, they make

their first mistake.

They rent a boat, complete with skipper,
and go out to sea.

Stop the presses! He's in again!

This guy must be the seventh son of a
seventh son!

Easy there, Jackie.

It isn't as simple as fitting a pair of
shoes.

Get overboard!

You know, the U.S. Navy could recover a
capsule from outer space in less time

than it takes them to save 110 pounds of
choking wet girl.

Isn't he bright?

He just realized that someone fell
overboard.

Forget it, cousin. You'll strangle
yourself in your sleeves.

Ah, every woman's favorite indoor and
outdoor sport, shopping.

Bridget decides to concentrate on the
postcard while Angela goes inside to

make the important decision of what
beach ball to buy.

Well, if you got a beach ball, I say
there's only one place to go.

The beach.

What have we here, Cedric?

At the very tip of Land's End is the
first and last house in England.

Depending, of course, from which
direction you arrive.

There you go with those nifties again.

I'd say offhand that the girls were
having a darn good time, but it's not

good enough for Pam.

She's the born explorer, and she decides
she just has to see what's on the other

side of the rock.

Uh-oh.

It seems that Pamela has trespassed on
private property, Truen Beach, a beach

owned by a local nudist society, for
members only.

And who are two of the members?

And who does Pamela meet for the first
time?

Oh, you're so right.

Bridget and Angela.

Cedric, my friend, would you be good
enough to tell us how Pamela felt and

how she became interested in becoming a
nudist?

To take off everything had always seemed
to her somehow wrong or improper or

unnatural.

Eager to discuss this with Petrina and
Jackie, she asks permission to bring

them over to this private part of the
beach.

They are rapidly convinced by the
arguments from the other two girls who

point out that to be ashamed of one's
own body is truly more wrong, more

unnatural. There's nothing shocking
about enjoying the feeling of complete

physical freedom that nudity brings.

Their fine brown skins and their healthy
complexions and their obvious sincerity

show Pam how mistaken she's been to
think that only peculiar people become

nudists.

Come on, why not take off those wet
costumes? It's a perfect day and nobody

uses this beach except us.

The lure of the sea, the sun, and the
sand proves too strong.

And the longing to move free as the air,
truly as nature intended, is

overwhelming to Pam, Petrina, and
Jackie.

Making that fateful decision proves a
bit difficult.

Well, here goes.

As Bridget explained, you've got to
forget all that you've heard in the

past. The silly jokes about nudists, the
advice from other people.

And then a place like this Sun Club
becomes an important and delightful part

of your life.

What better way could there be to
achieve a healthy body and a healthy

mind at one and the same time?

Wives and husbands, single folk and
happy families.

girls have only one regret.

That they didn't discover the Sun Club
years ago.
