Knitting is one of my favorite things
to do when I need a quiet activity.

How did your day with Addy go?

We played a lot of games and monster tag,

but then she went into her room
and didn't let us in.

Yeah, she said she wanted some quiet,

and we were going to be quiet with her,

but she said she wanted to be alone.

Why would she need to be alone
when we were having so much fun together?

There are different types of fun.

You and Koo were happy
with loud and busy fun,

but after all day of playing,
perhaps Addy needed some quiet fun.

But we knocked on the door
and told her we'd be quiet.

It sounds like Addy needed a break.

That's what she kept saying.

[gasps] Does this mean Addy won't ever,
ever want to play with us ever again?

I can see
how this would be worrying to you.

Maybe it would help to think of things
from Addy's point of view.

I wonder. Are there things
that you like to do on your own?

I don't like to do anything alone.

I like coloring. I can do that by myself.

Or drawing alone.

Well, I do like to play adventure
on my own with Mumu sometimes

if Addy or Michael aren't home.

That's kind of like being on my own.

But why would Addy want to be alone
if we're home?

There are many reasons
someone might want to be alone.

After a full day of play,
our bodies need rest too.

-I never get tired of playing.
-[laughs]

While you finish your snack,
how about I tell you a story

about a turtle
who also needed some quiet time?

[Stillwater] Tomas and his friends
Luciana and Raimundo

were visiting the city of Rio de Janeiro.

There were many sights to see.

Beautiful beaches.

-[laughs]
-Whoo! [laughs]

I could run up and down this beach
all day! [laughs]

How are you doing, Tomas?

I'm having fun.
But I might need a break soon.

-[Raimundo] Whoo! [laughs]
-[Luciana laughs]

[Stillwater] Interesting museums.

with views of the entire city.

-[chuckling] Whoa.
-Wow. [chuckles]

[panting, speaks Spanish]

[Stillwater] Tomas was having a lot of fun
with his energetic friends.

[animals cheering]

[Stillwater] Once a year, the city has
a special party called Carnaval

where everyone gathers for a parade
with music, costumes and dancing.

[Karl] I like parades.

[samba music playing]

I can hear the samba music.

[chuckles] Oh, the parade is coming.

Oh, I can't wait to see the floats.

[yawns] Break time. [chuckles]

[Karl]
But Tomas is going to miss the parade.

-Ah, Tomas needs his time now.
-So he does.

[Stillwater] Luciana and Raimundo
enjoyed the parade while Tomas rested.

They understood
that turtles need more rest than iguanas.

[Karl]

Koo and I are iguanas.

If Addy rests some, maybe then
she can join us again for more fun.

-Don't you mean my room?

Yes. We're iguanas, and you're a turtle.

All you gotta do is move the sliders

When something seems easy for everyone
else but challenging for ourselves,

it can be upsetting.

I have always wanted to do the limbo.

But unfortunately,
it's harder for pandas to bend backwards.

And it can be frustrating.

But I know there is nothing wrong with me.

I'm just built differently.

Not all challenges are physical.

Sometimes, they can be
in the way we think too.

Oh, like how reading or math can be harder
for some people?

But it's because letters
and numbers look different to them.

[bird twittering]

[Stillwater]
We often think all birds can fly.

-Can't they?
-[laughs]

What about penguins?

Oh. I forgot about them.

I know a story of a penguin
who thought he was supposed to fly.

Supposed to? How'd that go?

A lot differently than you might expect.

It begins with an albatross

who had flown a long, long way
to the South Pole.

Hello there.

It's good to see another bird
after such a long flight.

What are you doing there?

My favorite thing,
collecting shiny pebbles.

Stunning!

My favorite thing is a sunset soar.
Care to join?

Soar? Um� [stammers] �penguins don't fly.

They don't?

Well, you're a bird, aren't you?

Yes, I am a bird.

And birds are supposed to fly.

[Addy]
But the penguin should know he can't fly.

[Stillwater] Maybe so,

but the penguin was determined to do
what the albatross could do.

[panting]

[grunts] Whoa! Whoa!

I have wings. Why can't I fly?

[sighs]

I'll just need to try harder this time.

[panting]

[laughs] I'm doing it! I'm flying!

Whoa, whoa!

[Stillwater]
But the penguin wasn't about to give up.

[wind whistling]

[gasps]

Ha! More feathers.
Now I'm ready to fly like a bird.

[panting, exclaims]

[gasps, sputters] Aw.

How about we take a break
and look for some pebbles?

[Stillwater] The two new friends found
an especially dazzling pebble.

-[penguin gasps]
-[albatross] Ooh!

I want to see this sparkle in the light.

[Stillwater]
But when the albatross took to the sky�

[gasps]

I dropped my pebble!

I'll get it. [grunts]

[Stillwater] Under the water that day,

the penguin noticed something
that he never really had before.

The way he was gliding, swooping, soaring�

[Addy] He was flying in the water!

[Stillwater chuckles] He was flying.

While penguins don't fly in the usual way,
they aren't any less of a bird.

Here you go.

[gasps] Thank you.

It wasn't fair of the penguin
to be angry at himself

for not being able to fly in the air
like the other birds.

He wasn't built for that.

Mm-hmm. Just like it would be unfair
if a panda were hard on himself

for not being a limbo expert.

[both laugh]

The penguin did fly in his own way.
And he was happy with that.

Maybe I can find my own way to fly too.

And instead of focusing on
what everyone else can do,

I should think about everything I can do.

There are many things you do well.

Yeah. I'm a good runner, a good friend
and a good baker too.

[gasps]

I need a recipe!

Are you going to do some baking?

No, for the puzzle.

I just thought of my own way to fly.

Maybe I can't see the patterns
like everyone else does,

but I am good at following a recipe.

I just need to look at it
one part at a time,

like ingredients in a cake.

Hmm.

That's really clever, Addy.

I've never thought of solving it
that way before.

Just because I can't solve it
the same way everyone else can

doesn't mean I can't solve it.

[chimes]

[gasps] I did it! [giggles]

[laughs] You certainly did, Addy.

You know, this gave me an idea,
Stillwater.

I wonder if we can find
