'cause they're good pictures.

Good story. Got everything.

I'd never seen media like that before.

You know, gathering in a place

and everyone jostling the position.

It was a media scrum, right?
- Get it out of us.

- Because it's something I'd
never gone through before.

You know, this was a whole
different world to me

because you're right
there next to the jury.

There'd be a lot of
eye contact and smiling

and when certain witnesses were called up

and I had a good rapport
between several members

of the first jury.

With witness A, she wasn't
someone I really spoke to

or passed the time of day with.

When she first came out,
she was perfectly groomed,

not a here outta place.

They made her up to look like a secretary.

She looked like butter
wouldn't melt in her mouth.

- She was able to recount
movements in the prison.

And when Renee had spoken to her

and all that sort of, yes,
she did have a detailed story.

- Renee said to me that if
she told the police the truth

that they would both be done for murder.

- [Jury] Did she tell you
anything else on the matter?

- Yes, she said that she
had spoken to Neville

about some of the stories
that Mr. Plumley Walker

had been telling her about
abusing little girls.

And Neville was quite drunk that night.

So he went into the room

and started beating Mr.
Plumley Walker with his fists.

Then he left the room

and came back with an iron bar

that she indicated was about that big.

- [Jury] Two to three feet long.

- Yes, she said that he started
beating Mr. Plumley Walker

with the iron bar and
she had been so disgusted

that she had to leave the room.

- Everyone was absolutely astonished.

You know, they just couldn't believe.

- I thought of manslaughter at most,

but murder seemed way off the mark.
