wings video with me

lee it's been a while since our last

update

and today we're going to share with you

a little bit more on what's going on

with caliber

at this time of year so before we head

off to wonder festival in shanghai

uh in about 20 days time uh

we're gonna do a video review

of uh our test shot

of the ultimate viper

video right so if you like the video

you know test shots so we're gonna share

a few this with you guys

like the video and without further ado

i'm going to go in

straight to the video all right guys i'm

going to show you

the review of our

f-16 tooling so this is the test shot

and we are still ungoing a few more

minor

adjustments on the fit after which

that's done we'll have the final test

shot out and one that's good we will

begin production on

wave one of our ultimate vipers

and before i go any further i'd like to

point out the metal composition

of our f-16 model you can see that the

airframe generically is all die-cast

metal

the vertical stabilizer

the horizontal stabilizers are all metal

including the belly

all right guys next i'm going to bring

your attention to the

panel details on our f-16

you can see for the first time

the level of effort that we put in

to this tooling

okay we're going to start the review

from

the nose down to the nozzle so as you

can see

the nose is actually made of plastic

and the pitot tube is

a turn brass piece

so the pitot tube would come

pre-installed onto the nose

and what you do is

you simply remove

to reveal the engine

now this part

let me set it down there's an

option part nose

and this is it okay

don't mind the

the detail here it's uh you know just

fresh off the screw

without any post processing

so what you do is you just put in

the part here and you have the

open radar

option so again the

brass peel tube is installed onto this

part as well

so you're getting actually two parts

you're getting both the closed nose

and the open nose

let's look at the detail on the radar

so i'm going to show you this part of

the nose where it connects to the body

you can see that we have pretty much

eliminated any major gaps

so get for this option part is not going

to be a concern

so don't mind the canopy you know

flipping off because uh

on this particular test shot the tab

is not present and it doesn't lock in

place

and we're also adjusting this part to

make sure it really conforms to the

airframe so removing

opening up the canopy you can see that

it holds by itself

and reveals the asus2 ejection seat

you got the flight control stick on

the right side and

you've got the throttle stick

on the other side so the f-16 is

obviously a very sleek looking aircraft

and the model has to you know pretty

much

capture its sleekness

so next thing i'm going to show you the

horizontal stabilizer

where we have the the angle

all right again this is something that

we will improve on the tooling because

currently it's a little loose so there

is a bit of a

of a plane so once this joint is

tightened

it will hold the angle just like so

and speaking of which uh this part is

completely removable

like so there is a

pvc part once we tighten this

hole we will get the part in nice and

tight

and you can you know position it

as you like

like so

and you can probably see that this uh a

speed brakes is of a different color

because it's plastic

so again we are gonna uh touch up on

the tightness of this joint it's

currently a bit loose

but what you can do is to remove this

part

and this part

and put in the open position

speed brakes so there's one there

and the other

goes in like so

so there you have it um i'm gonna zoom

in a little bit here

you can see the speed brake details

alright moving along we are going to

show you how to remove the engine

as well as how to change the landing

gear

from gear down to

gear up so before i go into

showing you how to remove the engine i'm

going to show you a bit of how to

change the nozzle here so this is the

open nozzle simply

wriggle it out and you can have the

option

of the closed nozzle as so

and the nozzle also features some

detailing

on the inside

okay guys it's time to remove the engine

to show you guys how it's done

you can actually see that the there is

no real visible gap

for this part it's nicely tubed

so what you want to do is just to hold

on to

and just zoom in a little bit so what

you want to do is just

hold here and simply pull out

the engine like so

and once you've done that you can see

that the

air intake

you can see right through to the back

so the reason for this that we felt was

very important

is that you know when you look into the

intake of the model you can actually if

you if you shine a

light you can see the

double fans and that's the the crux of

it

alright so moving along

so moving on the next part that you want

to do to change

uh the gear down

position to the gear up again with the

engine removed

you wanna look at this part here i'm

gonna zoom in

and you simply

depress this to remove to release the

tab

all right you release the tab

and the part just comes off

there is a bit of a

con in that this part the arrested hook

is very fragile here so be very careful

not to break it all right

other than that it should be it holds up

pretty fine

so now we simply

gonna zoom out we simply

remove the entire piece

change it up to

this part here

we'll attach it like so

all right and we reverse the process now

we put back

this part the rest the hook

in first so once everything is in place

you can see that

even the bottom

it does not fall off i'm gonna just

wiggle the model

just gonna shake it up and down

all right again the canopy is like

so because this is still a test shot and

we're missing a tab on the canopy

other than that you can see that with my

motion there is

no it's not going to fall off

okay so i'm going to change it back real

quick

to gear down again we remove the

the engine we

loosen the tab

we change out the bottom

put back gear down

put the tab back

and finally we put the engine

back on as soon

there we go and you can see again with

this uh

gear down configuration i'm gonna do the

same thing i'm gonna

really give it a shake and it's not

gonna fall off

all right all right i'm gonna put the

uh gear up and put it onto the dm stand

and show you guys how this looks

so this is the dm stand

basically dm stands for diecast metal

the whole thing

is metal right

the only thing is plastic is on the

cradle here so we will be making this

cradle

transparent and there are different

cradles that will hold the f-16

the vf-1 the f-14 the su-24

so with this stand you can pretty much

see that

it can hold the centerline tank

let me just show it to you again here

all right you can see that it holds the

centerline tank

and you can display it you know in

various

positions

again this is a prototype stand so the

connection point is a little loose

uh hence we have not yet officially

showcased the stand it will be announced

pretty soon once we

tighten up all these loose joints but

generically this is how you can display

the f-16

on the metal stand

and just gonna show it to you

all right i'm gonna come back and show

you guys other details

like the ordnance as well as the leather

and the dolly for the engine all right

as promised uh this next part

we will show you the the leather

i'm gonna just zoom in here a little bit

and show how the leather is going to be

attached and we have the engine

dolly it's currently not painted so

rubber

tires so what we're going to do is we're

going to remove the engine

so we're going to remove the engine just

like so

now once the engine is removed you'll

notice that this

part here belongs to the

aircraft right so how do we

handle that it's very simple we remove

the entire part

we exchange out this ring we don't want

this

in its place we have this ring

so again we just put it on all right you

can choose between

the open engine nozzle the closed one

we'll do the close one

all right so that's your engine part by

itself and you can set it down

on the dolly

let me just zoom that in alright and

there you have it

so the mick killer comes with two

external fuel tanks

two m rams on the wing tips as you have

seen

two side winders underwing

right two

hum missiles

and an ecm port

so how all that goes in is fairly simple

again

uh in this this round we've actually

employed the uh

the push fit joints so

you just need to put in

divide the tabs

and just goes right in there

so same thing for the hum

there we go

and then the ecm port

it goes right in here

so if all the stores place onto the mick

killer this

how it's going to look

so we'll look at the details that we

have

made for the undercarriage itself the

undercarriage well

so if i can just zoom in here

you can see that the details on the

gear doors

the gears itself the gear struts

the front landing gear gear door

gear strut

the lights on the

front landing gear so with the

caliber wings f16 you're gonna get

the model by itself you're gonna get

the option nose

to reveal the radar you're gonna get a

pilot figure

seated the engine dolly

a leather the option

nozzle open and close

the ring for when in

engine out mode

the interchangeable speed brakes

the full fuel sludge for gear up

configuration

and the armament that you've just seen
