The vigilante boldly foils a plot to
acquire Tex Collier's white horse, which

had been offered as a prize for a race.

Hoping to capture one of the
conspirators and so establish the

identity of the others, the vigilante
pursues him onto a mountain road

That fellow I was chasing got away with
him. But I think we have a chance to

overtake him.

I have an idea he's heading for Hidden
Valley.

Whoever's trying to pull a double cross
is liable to approach you and tip his

hand. If he does, we've got him.

Two of the boys will cover you. I can
handle it. All right, put on this outfit

and get going.

from Waldron's place to Pierce's ranch.

Mr. Pierce has been unexpectedly cold
out, sir. He hopes you'll excuse him and

continue to be his guest for the
evening.

Oh, that's quite all right on. We were
about to leave anyway.

We knew that we'd have the answer to a
lot of things.

Let's get rid of them. They've been
getting in our hair.

What happened to Prince Emil?

It isn't Prince Emil. It's Miller.

Miller? Yeah.

There's something fishy about this.

He's made up to look like Prince Emil.
He's been shot.

And if he had the pearls on him, he
hasn't got them now.

Is this second attack on the carnival
stables to succeed?

How much longer can the vigilante
withstand these overwhelming forces?
