and home to some of the world's
greatest mysteries.

about four and a half thousand

of these stone circle ruins

in Africa generating energy.

describe incredible technology.

myths described

thunderous vehicles
with flames coming out of them.

Indigenous people

talk of otherworldly origins.

an ancestral connection

and queens of the stars.

holds the ultimate secrets

of our extraterrestrial past?

wonder if maybe

this is where first contact
took place.

The second largest
continent on Earth

is known for its
striking landscapes,

mysterious ancient structures,

and vibrant cultural traditions

that date back
thousands of years.

[Henry] Africa is truly
a remarkable place.

It immediately conjures up
images of majestic creatures,

like lions, elephants.

You think of striking vistas,
the Great Rift Valley,

the Congo, the Sahara,
the Nile River.

Africa gave rise
to ancient Egypt,

one of history's greatest
and most iconic civilizations.

And today, it boasts thriving
metropolises like Cairo

and Johannesburg.

[Narrator] Africa
is also considered

the birthplace of humanity,

and is the most genetically

and culturally diverse
continent on Earth.

But what makes it intriguing
to ancient astronaut theorists

is that, all across
this vast continent,

the native people share
similar traditions regarding

visitors from the stars.

[Sabata-Mpho Mokae] The
different ethnic groups

in Africa do share beliefs.

And they see God
almost a similar way.

Their beliefs are common
in the sense that

they believe
in this higher, superior being,

but also they believe
in people who came before

coming down to Africa
from another planet.

[Rev. Michael Carter] All of
these different cultures,

tribes have stories

of beings
who come down from the sky

and to interact
with human beings.

Some as intermediaries,
some as messengers.

[Narrator] African
traditional religions,

such as those of the Igbo,

Akan, Shona, and Zulu
share common stories

of celestial teachers.

[Andrew Collins] What you have

are whole collections of gods,

of celestial beings,

of great ancestors
that are venerated

by each different tribal group.

There's such a diverse
area of knowledge

and wisdom relating to this.

This is something
that has been preserved

all the way down
to the present day.

[Narrator] For thousands
of years,

cultures across Africa

have kept these mythologies
alive through oral traditions,

elaborate ceremonies,
and by carving them into stone.

In Egypt, hieroglyphs
at the Temple of Edfu

describe the god Horus
descending from the sky.

[Giorgio Tsoukalos] Horus was
a celestial sky god.

Horus did not originate
here on Earth,

and the ancient Egyptians were
very, very concise in stating

that he was a physical being
that came from the stars.

[Narrator] The Yoruba,

one of the largest
ethnic groups in West Africa,

worship supreme beings
called the orisha.

[Carter] The Yoruba people
talked about beings

who were called orishas.

Who descended to Earth

and have a hand, even now,

into what goes on
on this planet.

And this is what they use,
even to this day,

to explain the world
that they live in.

[Narrator] According
to the Yoruba,

these deities
came down from the sky

and moved between
human and divine realms.

One of the most prominent
is a figure named Eshu.

[Tsoukalos] What's interesting
is that Eshu

descended from the sky,
and he decides

who is allowed to communicate
with the other realm.

[Jonathan Young] Of the many
African divinities,

Eshu stands out. A kindly, but

a troublemaking, playful god

and would make people happy,

but would intentionally
cause confusion.

Artistic representations
of Eshu often show him

with an elongated head.

Sometimes about a third
of the body shape is head.

[Tsoukalos] He's this
interesting looking guy

with this elongated head,
and very large eyes.

From a modern-day perspective,

he looks like how we would
depict an extraterrestrial.

[Narrator] Might representations

of Eshu reveal that
the sky gods described

in numerous African traditions
were, in fact,

otherworldly visitors

encountered
by the ancient people?

For ancient astronaut theorists,

it is an intriguing
possibility,

and they suggest
more compelling clues

can be found on the outskirts
of the Sahara Desert.

French anthropologist
Marcel Griaule

treks through the rugged
Bandiagara Escarpment

in search of
the mysterious Dogon tribe.

When he finds them,
he becomes fascinated

by their culture
and traditions.

Including the tale of mysterious
teachers called the Nommo.

[Tsoukalos] The Dogon
claim that these

Nommo descended from the sky
in physical form,

and they brought knowledge.

They first taught the local
population about agriculture,

mathematics, buildings,
and astronomy.

[Narrator] Once every 60 years,
the Dogon

commemorate the arrival
of the Nommo with a celebration

called the Sigui festival.

[Henry] The Dogon people of Mali

told incredible stories
about their teacher beings

that landed on Earth
in spinning craft

that made a thunderous sound
as they were landing.

And when the craft landed,

they created this pool
of water around the craft.

[Tsoukalos] These Nommo--

not only did they descend
in physical form,

but they allegedly
had these suits

that made them look like fish,

and they would actually live
inside the water overnight.

[Narrator] Ancient astronaut
theorists find it intriguing

that the Dogon describe
amphibious beings,

because the Yoruba people
who live nearby

seem to depict their gods
with amphibious features.

[Henry] What we're seeing here
is artwork

that precisely matches
the ancient stories

of encounters with
a nonhuman amphibious species.

But one of the most intriguing
details that the Dogon

left for us is they
claimed that the Nommo

came from
the Sirius star system.

[Narrator] According
to the Dogon,

their gods didn't come
from Sirius A--

a star that is clearly visible
in the evening sky--

but instead from
its tiny companion,

a dying star called Sirius B

that is invisible
to the naked eye.

[Henry] The Dogon
specifically identified a star

that modern science
and astronomy did not

even know about until 1862.

[Tsoukalos] When
the anthropologists asked,

"Well, who taught you this?"

They were like,
"Well, our teacher gods,"

and they happened to arrive
from Sirius B.

[Narrator] Might the Dogon have
been given knowledge of Sirius B

by alien beings who came to
Africa thousands of years ago?

Ancient astronaut
theorists say yes,

and as further evidence,

they point to the wooden masks
the Dogon people wear

during the Sigui festival
to represent the Nommo.

[Tsoukalos] These masks
have been carbon-dated.

And so we know that

some of these masks go back
at least 600 years.

Meaning they knew about Sirius B

already 600 years ago.

And the only way
that somebody can know

about an invisible star system

is if somebody tells you

that there's something there.

And so, with the Dogon,
they are very clear

in stating that the Nommo,

visiting celestial beings,
gave them that knowledge.

It's fascinating that,
in Africa,

we find all these stories

of otherworldly beings,

teachers coming down
from the sky,

and imparting early humans
with knowledge.

And you have to wonder

if maybe this is where
first contact took place.

[Narrator] Do the traditions

of Indigenous peoples,
like the Dogon,

the Yoruba,
and the ancient Egyptians

reveal that Africa was a place
of extraterrestrial visitation

in the distant past?

Perhaps further clues
can be found

by examining Zulu teachings
that describe ancestors

from other worlds.

Zulu author Credo Mutwa

publishes the groundbreaking
book Indaba, My Children,

which chronicles
the tribal history, legends,

customs and religious beliefs
of the Zulu people,

the largest ethnic group
in South Africa.

Mutwa's book contains
a comprehensive collection

of Zulu oral history
and mythologies

dating back centuries.

With the publication
of his book,

many of these stories become
public for the first time.

Credo Mutwa was
a high Sanusi or high elder

in the sangoma tradition
from Southern Africa.

And he helped to popularize
Southern African spirituality

and religion to the world.

[David Childress] Indaba
is a Zulu word that means

"listen to me," essentially.

So the title of his book
was kind of, you know,

"Listen to me, my children."

[Narrator] In 1964,
social tensions in apartheid

South Africa were
approaching a boiling point.

It was amidst
this backdrop of unrest

that Credo Mutwa
endeavored to publish his book

and preserve
his people's history.

We need to remember
that most of our mythologies

in Africa have
been passed down orally

from generation to generation,

and had not
been recorded on paper.

We had not had
that kind of literature before.

But here was somebody
who was contributing towards

how the world understood

Africans, African religions,
traditions, beliefs,

for the very
first time in history.

[Childress] Credo Mutwa
actually got into trouble

with other Zulu elders,

because he was revealing

all kinds of, basically,

kind of secrets of the shamans.

And they didn't like that.

He was

reporting all of
these things that,

in their minds,
should be kept secret.

[Ekhaya] A lot of
the Zulu community

wasn't on board with the release
of this sacred information,

but Credo Mutwa saw that

if he wasn't able to tell the
stories, then it would dissolve

at some point in the future.

[Narrator] According to Mutwa,
the knowledge shared in his book

was passed down
to him by Zulu elders

when he was
initiated as a sangoma.

A sangoma is
a traditional healer

from the Southern
African region.

Sangomas are diviners

connected to the ancient
wisdom of the ancestors.

[Carter] These stories were
passed down to Credo Mutwa.

His grandfather was
an old-school

shaman.

And so when Credo was initiated,

these stories
were passed down to him.

But they were kept secret.
And he broke that oath

in order to get
those stories out.

He wanted to decolonize

this Eurocentric mindset

that Africa had nothing
to offer the world.

[Narrator] For
the next three decades,

Mutwa continued
to share his knowledge

of Zulu folklore
and published numerous books.

And in a 1996 book entitled

Song of the Stars:
the Lore of a Zulu Shaman,

he captured
the public's attention

when he revealed new details

about the Zulu gods.

Mutwa claimed
that the beings described

in the sacred stories
were otherworldly visitors

who were encountered by
the ancient people of Africa.

[Carter] He is saying

they are not gods.

That they are flesh
and blood like you and I.

And at the same time,
he also says

that people
who kept the old ways

believe these people
came from the sky.

[Henry] Mutwa tells how
the ancient Africans

believed that their creator
gods came from the sky.

They descended
in shining vehicles

with flames coming out of them,

sometimes described
as thunderous.

The beings themselves
are described as

flaming beings or fire beings.

The word "Zulu" means
"people from the heavens."

There is an ancestral connection

from the sky, the stars.

And in the tradition,
there's a lot of songs,

there's a lot of prayer
to the amakhosi,

or the kings
and queens of the stars.

[Narrator] For ancient
astronaut theorists,

particularly intriguing

is that the ancient
visitors Mutwa describes

and illustrates in his books
are similar to extraterrestrials

that people have claimed
to encounter in modern times.

Among them are descriptions
of tall, peaceful creatures

called the Muncwi,

gray-skinned beings
with large, black eyes

known as the Mantindane,

serpent-like visitors
called the Kontombile,

and the Muzungu,

tall white figures
who bear a striking resemblance

to modern accounts
of beings known as Nordics.

The Nordics are often
described as being

tall and slender with

radiant eyes
and long, white hair.

So Credo Mutwa's book is

talking about, essentially,
the same thing, in a sense.

[Narrator] Like
the Dogon of Mali,

the Zulu stories shared by Mutwa

also describe powerful beings
associated with water.

There were these water beings

that Baba Credo Mutwa
talked about.

The water beings
are very much a part of

the sangoma tradition
and the Zulu people.

[Childress] Credo Mutwa
was trained at an early age

to know these stories.

So we have to think that
there's certainly something

to these stories,

in the sense
that they're genuine

Zulu myths.

[Narrator] Do the ancient Zulu
stories told by Credo Mutwa

reveal that Africa was not
only the cradle of humanity

but also a place of early
extraterrestrial visitation?

Ancient astronaut
theorists say yes

and suggest even more
compelling evidence can be found

by comparing the ancient
mythology of Africa

to Sumerian stories
of celestial visitors

called the Anunnaki.

Credo Mutwa publishes

Africa's Hidden History,

sharing more of
the ancient Zulu stories.

In this book,
he focusses on a group

of otherworldly visitors
called the Chitauri.

[John Lockley] The Chitauri

was an ancient race that

came thousands of years ago,

and they were very tall,
very powerful

and very manipulative
in some ways.

[Henry] According
to Mutwa, the Chitauri

landed on Earth
in what are described

as thunderous vehicles
that are emitting fire

and creating all this noise.

They're described
as reptilian in nature.

They have yellow eyes.
They have a tail.

[Narrator] According to Mutwa,

the Chitauri didn't
just visit our planet,

but had a hand
in human evolution.

[Mokae] Credo Mutwa
tells us the Chitauri

came from outside planet Earth.

They had powers
that we didn't have.

They came here
when we had no power

of speech, when we had

no ability to speak

to one another in words

and sentences as we do,

and that's what
they imparted to us.

[Childress] Credo Mutwa
is saying that the Chitauri

were teaching humanity,

and that these
extraterrestrials had actually

genetically manipulated mankind

to create the modern
humans that we are.

[Narrator] For ancient
astronaut theorists,

the stories of the Chitauri

bear a striking resemblance to
the writings of the Sumerians.

Considered the world's
first known civilization,

the Sumerians are
responsible for dozens

of innovations that are
essential to modern society.

And they credited
these achievements

to powerful beings
who came from the sky.

[Tsoukalos]
The Sumerians are

the first ones to create cities.

They're the first ones
to create the plow.

They're the first
to have a language

that was written down.

And they're also very clear

that this was all imparted
to them by the teachers

from the sky, the Anunnaki.

[Jason Martell] The story
goes that the Anunnaki

took their genetic marker

and made us in their image
and after their likeness.

And this is exactly mirrors
what we hear with the Chitauri.

Mutwa described the Chitauri

as having some type
of a genetic play on us.

Basically being
involved in our creation.

[Narrator] According
to Mutwa, the Chitauri

not only
influenced human evolution

but anointed
the first human rulers.

[Henry] Mutwa describes
African myths that say

that monarchy was something
that was imported to Earth

by the extraterrestrials.

That's fascinating because
we find exactly the same story

in ancient Mesopotamia,

where we're told
that the Anunnaki gods

lowered kingship to Earth.

There's strong crossover between

what Chitauri were doing and
what the Anunnaki were doing.

[Narrator] As far as
ancient astronaut theorists

are concerned, separate cultures

telling similar stories about
encounters with their gods

constitutes some of
the strongest evidence

for ET visitation
in the distant past.

And one of the most
compelling examples

involves a Sumerian god
who resembles descriptions

of not only
the Zulu water deities

but also the Dogon
stories of the Nommo.

In the third millennium BC, the
Babylonian historian Berossus

told a story about an amazing
sea creature called Oannes.

He's depicted as
half human, half fish,

and he's considered to be
a great teacher for humanity.

He is also, we're told,
sent by the Sumerian god Enki.

He's one of what
are called the Apkallu,

who are the wise sages sent
by Enki to instruct humanity.

[Tsoukalos] The earliest
of culture-bringers

to planet Earth

was Oannes,
with the ancient Sumerians.

And there, too, it is described

how this fish being
descended from the sky

and, in physical form,
imparted knowledge

to the Babylonians
and the first Sumerians.

And at night,

this Oannes guy
would walk into the water,

and not eat anything,
but that's where he would live.

And then, you know,
to re-emerge the next day,

to impart more knowledge
to the local population.

[Childress] He has a fish
head, but with a human head

underneath it.
And then there's a fish body

with a fish tail,
but he has human feet as well.

And he teaches science

and technology

and medicine and agriculture.

So he's very similar
to the Nommo of the Dogon,

in many ways.
And he's an amphibious god.

Vishnu, too, is also
sometimes depicted

as a kind of a amphibious
fish god.

And you have that in Japan.

In cultures all over the world,

we have these stories
of these amphibious gods

who are coming, they're
teaching the people.

And they're coming from,
you know, dissimilar cultures,

but they have very
similar stories.

And so, you have to wonder

if this has to do with,
you know, real,

extraterrestrial amphibious gods

who are, um, instructing
people all over the world.

[Narrator] Could it be that
the stories passed down

by the early people of Africa

resemble the mythology
of the Sumerians

and other ancient civilizations

because these cultures

all experienced real encounters

with otherworldly visitors?

Ancient astronaut theorists
say yes,

and they suggest
further evidence

of extraterrestrial contact
in Africa can be found

not only in oral traditions

but in mysterious ancient ruins.

[Narrator] Every year,

over 1 million visitors

travel to the border
of South Africa and Zimbabwe

for a chance to see lions,

elephants

and rhinos.

But this picturesque savanna

is also home
to an enduring mystery.

The landscape is dotted
with thousands of ancient ruins

that stand
roughly four feet tall

and are often
described as stone circles.

[Hugh Newman] These are
not classic stone circles.

They're not like megaliths

arranged in
a certain configuration.

These are built up of
walls of smaller stones,

but creating these very
specific shapes and geometries,

often with avenues
coming out from them,

often going for many miles.

[Collins] The structures

that are found in South Africa

are individually
referred to as kraals,

and this is probably a
corruption of the word "corral,"

which means the place or pen
that you put animals in,

but they're more
than simply animal pens.

The stone circle ruins
were first spoken about

by the Portuguese,

when they came
across these ruins.

And they asked the locals,

"Are these your structures?"

And they were told, "No,
these are not our structures."

That's the first time
we read about it.

But the first time
we really, really start

to hear about the stone
circles is around 1891

when Theodore Bent,
a British archaeologist,

was here in South Africa.

And he estimated that there are

about four and a half thousand

of these stone circle ruins
in southern Africa.

[Narrator] The builders
of these strange formations

remain a mystery, as does
the date of their creation.

Artifacts found at these sites

suggest the circles could
be several thousand years old.

And recently, with the benefit
of satellite imagery,

researchers have discovered
that these ruins

span almost 4,000 square miles.

[Newman] We're talking

not just tens of thousands,
there's potentially

hundreds of thousands of them.

And so, they may be
ancient structures

built as some kind of

network across
the whole of South Africa.

[Narrator] Could the
mysterious circular structures

found throughout southern Africa

be remnants of
a lost civilization?

Perhaps further clues
can be found by examining

an ancient stone circle
of a very different kind.

The Mpumalanga Province
of South Africa.

2003.

Pilot Johan Heine is flying
over the Highveld plateau

when he sees something unusual.

It is the remnants of
what appears to be a circle

made with standing stones

with two towering monoliths
at its center.

[Tellinger] Johan
immediately realized

that's not a natural
arrangement of stones.

And he came back that same day

in the afternoon
to come and investigate.

[Narrator] Over
the next four years,

Heine conducted his own
examination of the unusual site.

He then brought his findings

to fellow researcher
Michael Tellinger.

[Tellinger] When Johan took me
there for the first time,

he showed me
all the measurements

that he'd been doing
all these years

since he discovered it in 2004,

and all the time
and effort he put into it,

analyzing it, checking out
the cardinal point alignments,

north, south, east, west,

and the solstices and equinoxes,

and realized that this

is an ancient calendar site.

As the sun moves
from solstice to solstice,

the shadow moves
on the calendar stone.

And the calendar
is still accurate.

[Narrator] After his
initial investigation,

Tellinger began to suspect

that the mysterious stone
circle might be very ancient,

and named it Adam's Calendar,

for the first human in
the Bible's Book of Genesis.

[Tellinger] How old
is Adam's Calendar

and what evidence
do we have for its age?

That is a very
difficult question to answer,

so you have to look
at every possible thing.

We've looked at the geology.

We've looked at erosion.
We've looked at lichen growth.

[Narrator] According
to Tellinger,

the analysis he performed

indicated that Adam's Calendar

could be the oldest
stone circle on Earth,

dating back
tens of thousands of years.

Curiously, as
Tellinger continued

to investigate the site,
he began to notice

unusual phenomena.

[Tellinger] The first way
we noticed it is that

the moment you enter the site,

the GPS stops working.

Even a magnetic compass

moves around and
keeps changing directions.

[Newman] Now, this is
intriguing. This is very much

in association with
the British stone circles

or the European
megaliths in general,

that they kind of have
this energetic signature.

[Tellinger] We measured
electromagnetic fields

moving vertically from
the sky into the ground.

The frequencies
that come out of the ground

are amplified
between the stones,

so it generates the energy
and it amplifies it

very, very powerfully.

So the conclusion is
that Adam's calendar

is not only a calendar,

it is a machine.

[Narrator] A machine?

Is it possible that
the stones at Adam's Calendar

are arranged to produce energy?

And if so, who built it?

[Tellinger] I believe it is
a very powerful ancient machine

that generates amazing
amounts of energy

unimaginable to us today.

And it does
so by using frequencies

of the Earth that it amplifies.

And I suspect it was built

by these
advanced beings, these ETs

with an advanced technology.

[Narrator] Could it be
that Adam's Calendar

was created by an
extraterrestrial civilization

to generate energy?

It is a controversial claim,

and like many of the other
great mysteries of Africa,

no written record
exists to document

the true purpose
of Adam's Calendar

or the thousands of other
ancient circular structures

spread across the landscape.

But ancient astronaut
theorists suggest

that information on what
was happening in Africa

in the distant past

can be found
in the extensive written

and pictorial records created by

the Egyptians.

[Narrator] Of all
the wonders of Africa,

perhaps none have
captured the imagination more

than the great empire that
emerged along the Nile River.

Ancient Egypt stands

as the longest-lasting
continuous civilization

in human history,

rising in
the third millennium BC

and lasting roughly 3,000 years.

Its colossal structures,

mysterious
mummification rituals

and depictions
of strange hybrid beings

have long fascinated
ancient astronaut theorists.

And what they find
particularly intriguing

is that while
the stories of many of

the ancient peoples
of Africa were preserved

only in oral traditions,

the Egyptians left an extensive
written and pictorial record

of contact
with otherworldly beings.

[Collins] Hieroglyphs
are the written language

of ancient Egypt.

The dynastic pharaohs.

But what's
so interesting about them

is that they were known
as the language of the gods,

and the entire hieroglyphic
system essentially turns up,

ready-made,
around 5,200 years ago,

at the very beginning
of dynastic Egypt.

And you have to ask yourself
where did they come from?

Where is their precedent?

It's said that the god Thoth

actually presented them
to humankind wholesale.

[Tsoukalos] Some of
the earliest Egyptian texts

refer to a time when
the so-called gods mingled

with human beings.

And it is said that
these guardians of the sky,

these so-called gods,

were the ones
that imparted knowledge

such as city planning, writing,

medicine, engineering,

astronomy, agriculture.

The Egyptians describe
their gods as teachers,

just as the Zulu
and the Dogon did.

[Narrator] Ancient
astronaut theorists suggest

what the Egyptians documented
in hieroglyphs and artwork

provides a record of
otherworldly visitation

similar to what was happening

throughout
the continent of Africa.

And much like
the Dogon and Zulu,

the Egyptians described
contact with beings

who arrived
in a thunderous craft,

which they depicted
as the Benben stone.

[Tsoukalos] According to
the ancient Egyptian texts,

this Benben stone
descended from the sky

in physical form,

and it landed in front
of the ancient Egyptians.

And then a hatch opened
on this Benben stone

and people walked out
in order to impart knowledge.

Now, people may say
that this is all fantasy,

but any ancient mythology

is rooted in some
sort of a reality.

And what's so interesting
about the Benben stone

is that it is considered
a vehicle of the gods.

The ancient astronaut theory
suggests that the Benben stone

is a form of
misunderstood technology

where the ancient Egyptians
tried to describe a ship

in the shape of a pyramidion.

We think of the Benben
as a craft because

the myth says
it came from the stars.

And when the god Atum
arrived on Earth in the Benben,

he descended from the stars.

And when he left the Earth,

he rose into the stars
upon the Benben.

[Narrator] Is it possible
that the pyramid shape

that dominates
the iconography of ancient Egypt

was inspired by an alien craft?

Ancient astronaut
theorists say yes,

and they suggest
even stronger evidence

of extraterrestrial
contact can be found

by examining
the pyramids themselves.

Archaeologists
and Egyptologists claim

that the pyramids
were tombs for the pharaohs,

but we have never found any
Egyptian pharaoh in a pyramid.

Egyptologists have
no real explanation

for what the pyramids
were really built for.

[Narrator] According to
aerospace engineer Chris Dunn,

the Giza Pyramids served
a far more profound purpose

than merely
commemorating the dead.

This idea came to him
while examining the interior

of the Great Pyramid in 1995.

[Christopher Dunn] Inside
the Great Pyramid,

you have all these
various shafts

and passageways and chambers.

And when you look at it,
as a schematic,

for me, it looks like a machine.

And so,

then the question becomes,

well, if that's the case,

what did this machine do?

[Narrator] For years, Dunn
researched the Great Pyramid

and determined
that the structure was designed

to generate
massive amounts of energy.

In 1998, he published his theory

in a book called
The Giza Power Plant.

He proposes that
the Great Pyramid

would actually harness
energy from the Earth,

and there would be chemicals
and other reactions

taking place in it,

and this would
actually produce energy.

Dunn proposed

the Great Pyramid was connected

to other pyramids and obelisks

to create a massive power grid.

suggested that the pyramids

of Egypt were energy devices.

This is high tech stuff

A team of European
and Moroccan scientists

discover the fossil
remains of five individuals

who they believe are the most
ancient humans ever found.

The bones are dated to
be more than 315,000 years old,

and would push back
the emergence of Homo sapiens

by over 100,000 years.

And the find also
indicates to archaeologists

that for more than
a third of our history,

humans may have existed
only in Africa.

are saying that ancient humans

may have occupied Africa

for more than 100,000 years

before migrating to
the other parts of the world.

This would radically change

our understanding
of human origins.

the fossils in Morocco

were led by an anthropologist

Hublin was later quoted
as saying is that

if there was a Garden of Eden,
it would be in Africa.

Now, he's
speaking metaphorically,

but it is fascinating

to think that for thousands
upon thousands of years

humans exclusively
lived in Africa

and then moved out into
other regions of the world.

Therefore,

it's very important that we
pay attention to their stories,

and also the remarkable
discoveries there.

But could the so-called mother
continent even be hiding proof

that the birthplace of humanity

extraterrestrial races
