people find the biggest attraction of

MySpace is the chance to meet some of

Playboy magazine gave these cyber
sensations the opportunity to go beyond

their MySpace profile and show Playboy a
lot more than they could normally

reveal. And they couldn't wait to log
off, strip down, and get into our space.

My name is Heather Lutz and I'm from
Reading, Pennsylvania.

I had heard about MySpace and I thought,
let's check it out. I thought it would

be a great way just to meet people to do
things with and just meet as friends.

On my own personal page of MySpace, I
have a lot of different pictures. I

tried to throw in a lot of my
personality in there.

Two or three years I considered maybe
sending in photos to Playboy, but I was

always kind of on the fence about it.
And then when my friend had contacted me

that they were looking for a girl from
my space, I said, what the hell, and

sent them in.

I work at a little bar called Champion.

At the bar, typically my consists of
just giving out drinks and

just being chatty and social with new
customers.

It's fun working in a bar just because
it is easy work, fun and social, and

you have to admit that the cash that you
take home at the end of the night is

great, too.

Growing up on a farm is probably the
best way to grow up, in my opinion. We

had four-wheelers, dirt bikes, pretty
much every animal under the sun.

Did I ever think I'd be posing for
Playboy?

No, absolutely not.

Playboy had me fly in.

They had a car take me out there at the
airport.

For the most part, I think people think
it's something that's pretty

neat and different to do.

I consider it an honor.

That is the regular studio where they
usually shoot, but today we are going on

location.

I was comfortable coming in. I did not
let myself...

analyze it or overthink it because I
think that if you do that, you'll open

yourself up to be uber nervous.

I love being pampered. What girl
doesn't?

I'm not nervous about anyone seeing
these pictures, but I am excited about

my ex-boyfriend seeing these pictures.

We are getting ready to do the bathroom
scene, and I need to get wet.

People keep asking me if I'm nervous
about posing, dude, but I haven't been

yet. Maybe it just hasn't really hit me.

I've been trying to just look at it as,
you know, just from a professional

mindset. I think it'll just all go so
fast that I don't really have time to be

nervous and think about it.

Just a cute little small smile, like a
really shy, flirtatious smile.

There it is. See, that's a great job.

We have a rule here that, you know, when
it starts to hurt, it starts to look

good. Got it. Okay, you're done.

Years from now, I think it'll be really
neat to look back at the pictures and

say, see, I told you I look like that.

The thing that I like about my space the
most is, one, I mean, it's a great way

to keep in touch with people that may
not live, you know, right within your

little realm.

I have a lot of friends on the West
Coast, so it's a great way to keep in

touch with them. And plus, it's a great
way, too, for networking.

Today was... Totally a good experience.

I'm so glad I did it.

Honestly, I think it was wonderful. And
it's really neat just to see what goes

into making just one picture.

My name is Kevin Custer, and I'm the
senior photo editor for Playpoint

Magazine.

We posted that we were going to do a
MySpace pictorial, and we just got

flooded with submissions.

We found several. That's great.

We found one girl who was heavily
tattooed and just had a very, very

contemporary, cool look for her.

What kind of girls are on MySpace?

Somewhat exhibitions.

I just think it's great that they go up
and they're so candid with their lives.

I mean, they go to their MySpace page
and they put all kinds of information,

really personal information that's out
there.

And it's really enticing. This is the
way the new modern girl, the girl next

door, is communicating with the world.

And there are a lot of girls around
there saying, I want to be in Playboy.

I'm from Woodbridge, Virginia.

I work for Hooters of America.

I got here because I actually was taking
photographs to send into the Hooters

calendar, and my photographer suggested
that I try out for the MySpace contest.

I didn't know about it. I was kind of
hesitant, and he was like, let's just do

it. We'll have fun with it.

I never thought I'd get picked for being
played with.

I've tried it for the Hooters calendar
twice, and I've not made it.

And if I don't make it this time, I'm
not worried about it because I made it

in Playboy.

I love getting my hair and makeup done.

Something different, exciting, look like
a different person.

Who doesn't like seeing my hair and
makeup?

I love it.

My favorite thing about MySpace is that
I can instant message or send a message

to people I haven't seen in years, see
how they've been doing, without actually

having to pick up the phone. I have had
a few flirting experiences with MySpace.

An individual saw where I work.

knew I lived in Woodbridge, called up my
job.

Actually, I picked up the phone. He said
he was coming in to see me because he

saw me on MySpace.

It was very, very interesting. He came
and saw me, and we had a conversation.

He wasn't anything I expected him to be
because his picture was completely

different than what I saw.

But he was fun. He was a nice guy.

Now, can you turn your belly button a
little bit more that way?

Yes. And then bring your chest toward
me.

Exactly.

What you can do with the foot on the
floor, you step up just a little bit.

There's a pleasure. First time she's
done any nudity.

And it was very comfortable.

It's like the best that you could
expect.

Being on a Playboy photo shoot is
amazing.

It's a great experience. I'm meeting
wonderful people, and I'm having a great

time. It is tiring. It's exhausting.

But it's fun and exciting all at the
same time. My wardrobe, when I'm not

wearing anything, that's expected.

But the clothes that I am wearing are
fun. They're flirty. They're playful.

And I love them the best.

She's fantastic.

She's perfect. Exactly what we're
looking for.

Beautiful face, great attitude, ready to
go. My favorite shot was when she was

laying on the bed, on her back, very
dramatic lighting.

She was totally vulnerable.

She was mysterious and just drop-dead
killer eyes that

she had. It was the best. It was great
shooting her.

Terrific.

When I first got here, I was very, very
nervous. Didn't know what to expect.

Didn't know how I would have acted.

By lunchtime, I calmed down.

Still had a little nervousness in me.
But by the end of the shoot, I feel good

about it. I'm excited that I did it.

In my free time, I go out with the girls
almost every night after work. We go out

and have a few drinks just to celebrate
that the night's over, whether we've had

good or bad shifts.

We go out to the clubs on the weekends
in the D.C. area.

Just have a great time.

I think I'm a good friend of my friends.
We share everything, especially one time

when my friend told me she had never had
an orgasm, and she was almost 21.

So I took it upon myself to go buy her a
vibrator, and now she thanks me every

day for it.

I don't consider myself sexy. I think
I'm extremely juicy, and I say all the

time I don't know how to be sexy.

I am comfortable with my sexuality.

but I'm learning about it every single

just don't like me for no reason because

So I started getting tattoos. My first
one, I was 15, and it was horrible.

Then I have to get covered up.

tattooed when I was 19, which would be

this traditional Japanese dragon.

prone with the heart. I also have

switchblade and a straight razor with
roses here and a few behind my ear,

golden crossbones and an anchor.

pierced in and out a million times, and

I've asked men that question, if the
piercing helps, and some people say they

to the Playboy casting call and there's
like tons of girls.

And so now I just recently built another

time. So I send them my pictures.

My mom took the ones that I submitted.

I found out I was doing the shoot on the
day of last week, and so I went to the

gym every day up until today to get
ready for the shoot.

in their lives, so it's like a first

the time because I constantly change my
pictures. I take my camera everywhere I

go, so I'm updating my pictures all the
time. But just a few of myself, but

basically my friends, skydiving
pictures, all my travels that I go on

all the time. I travel a lot. I put all
my pictures up there.

Pink with, like, little sparklies all
over it. For the longest time, like, I

could not get it set up.

to where it looks all pretty like
everybody else's.

I put fun pictures on there and try to
make it colorful.

Any girls looking to start a MySpace
page, I would say, one, make sure that

you don't care who sees it. Two, be
safe. Three, make sure to put some cute

pictures of yourself and anything that
kind of make it your own.

I have done some modeling. Mostly it's
just for friends or favors, nothing

serious. Every so often I'll do a
clothing line or a runway show.

There's a lot of fetish alternative

I got involved with MySpace from a
girlfriend of mine. She happened to be

on it, introduced me to the site, and
now I'm totally addicted to it.

I think people like MySpace because, I
mean, there's millions of people to kind

of network through and meet.

And it's also like a dating website,
kind of. So it's kind of fun. Most of my

photos on MySpace are, you know, bikini
shots or out with friends. I have a lot

with my friends.

Generally, I meet people through MySpace
if I'm out.

And then the last, you know, hey, do you
have MySpace? And, of course, everybody

does. So then you'll find them the next
day, you know, or that night, whatever.

I work at a nightclub. I get hit on. A
lot of people comment on my tattoos.

And some of the pick-up lines that I've
heard are, Hey, I lost my number. Can I

have yours?

My actual uniform at the job is a corset
and a mousetrap.

This shoot blew away my expectations as
far as, you know, the people. It was

really comfortable.

I didn't really have to do anything.

They pretty much did everything for me,
so it was really easy.

Playboy for me has always just kind of
been a staple, kind of like American,

you know, manly magazine.

And the women are always gorgeous in it.

I think maybe part of the reason why I
was chosen is...

I mean, how many girls have you seen in
Playboy with live tattoos?

Who doesn't want to be in Playboy?

This would probably be one of the
coolest things that's ever happened to

me, yeah.

In my free time, I go to a lot of
concerts.

And San Francisco has an amazing venue,
art galleries. Go shopping. I love to

found out, the first person I called was
my mom. She was ecstatic. She's awesome.

My brother wasn't so excited, but he was
excited for me, but he's a subscriber of

Playboy. So he quoted, you know, I'll
just give you that issue. You tear your

picture out and give it back to me.

Overall, my experience was great.

I was excited to do it. It's a playboy,
yeah. If I'm 80, I'm going to be

bragging to all my girlfriends around
the shoot.

I think the way a woman carries herself
is very sexy.

She's confident, not overly confident.

I feel like a princess today. I wish I
could have this every morning.

My name is George Giorgio. I'm the staff
photographer at Playboy Magazine.

Nice and sexy. Nice, hot, sexy, sultry
looks now.

We just have to be a little more
hands-on in all those departments when

we're working with somebody who was
actually modeled before, particularly in

this pictorial. But yeah, we just kind
of like let it kind of happen and see

where it goes.

I think the best thing to do is, you
know, I try to have a conversation with

a model prior to, like, when we go on
camera, just to kind of let her know

what we're going to do, particularly if
she hasn't modeled before.

Just, you know, to kind of let her know,
you know, that we're going to help her

out with posing and positioning and try
to get her to understand that, you know,

she can kind of work off those things
and that expression is key.

Almost zero girls come in knowing to
pose.

And it's funny because they look at the
magazine, you know, most people have

seen the magazine or they read it.

They kind of expect me to pose them,
which I'm fine with that. That's okay. I

understand. You take a Polaroid first on
the set. She has rollers on. Lights are

not exactly there yet. You want to show
that Polaroid tomorrow when the lights

are not there yet? No, you don't.

Most of the time, 90% of the time, she
goes, oh, my God, is that me? I don't

even look like that. That's
unbelievable.

I look so cute. It's just completely,
the rest of the clothes drops off, and

it's game.

She's the girl you see, you know,
walking down the street or at the mall,

and she's the girl you see, and you go,
wow, that girl's kind of hot, you know.

But then, you know, with hair and makeup
and wardrobe and all the beautiful,

beautiful Playboy light, she starts to
look like a dream girl.

It's about capturing this enormous
beauty that's out there and trying to

get down to that one frame.

I'm from San Diego.

I'm a big fan of MySpace.

My friend had just told me, she's like,
oh, MySpace, you have to get on it.

I think people like MySpace because it's
just a way to keep in contact with your

friends without constantly having to
call. I put fun pictures on there and

try to make it colorful, and it's neat.

I think I was browsing Playboy.com and
saw an ad for MySpace and submitted

myself. And then I got a call from
Chicago who then forwarded my pictures,

and then they said congratulations.

You get to shoot with us. Lower on your
top, yeah. Hold both of them.

I knew I kind of had a chance just
because people have always told me

that's something I should do. But for me
to actually go out and try to do it,

that was a whole other story.

I guess I consider myself sexy.

More goofy than sexy.

When I found out I was going to pose, I
went and bought some Playboys.

Checked out, you know, the positions and
sets. Love that.

Got luckily a great girl, a tremendous
body, good attitude, and she models

well. I just push a button. Hardly had

I've done fun things, swimsuit,

Playboy is, I think it's a work of art,
personally. I think it's beautiful. I

mean, they make you look so amazing.

Kind of like, that doesn't even look
like me.

I've had people tell me that I would be

because I always wanted to pose for
Playboy. But I was very nervous.

I don't know. Once I got in front of the
camera, I was fine.

I really didn't think it would be that
uncomfortable.

You're upside down, and, you know, I'm
hanging from chandeliers.

Yes, I'm like Peter Polaroid.

They go, wow, you look great.

So they appreciate the effort.

I'm a little bit nervous of my family to
see the photos.

A few friends that I've told.

are very excited for me. I only told
people to be excited for me.

Today was amazing.

I mean, you know, once-in-a-lifetime
experience to express yourself, be made

beautiful, and get on set, and take
pictures. It was cool.

I really like the set. It's very
colorful. It's very me.

The coolest thing that ever happened to
me was probably the, you know, being

chosen to pose for Playboy. It was
pretty cool. I think I'll look back and

think it was pretty cool, kind of a
once-in-a-lifetime experience. You know,

I'm young, and I was ready to do it.

My favorite pose probably would be in
the chair, sitting in the chair and

looking back.

My favorite pose was when I was laying
down, and I had one leg up on the car,

and then one leg stretched out. I looked
at the Polaroids of it, and it just

looked beautiful, and I was, like,
pressing my butt up. That was my

favorite one. I love it. The one where I
got to sit on my ass.

I think my favorite pose that I'd have
to say was my legs up on the bed post.

I think the one where I was... I just
want my hands and knees.

I'm from Hampton Beach, New Hampshire.

I heard about the photo shoot from an ad
that they had on MySpace, and so I

submitted my pictures, and next thing I
knew, they called me and said that I was

one of the candidates.

On MySpace, I've met old friends.

I've met people from bands, people that
might live next door to you.

You meet all kinds. Everybody seems to
have a MySpace account.

At first, I was just curious to see what
it was all about, and then it got really

addicting, and then you meet all these
people.

I think people like MySpace because...

You just get to meet a lot of people
that you wouldn't have met otherwise.

I'm

pretty

new to modeling. I've done a few things.

I'm still pretty new to it.

I have done it before.

But my dream job is definitely to be a
model.

My boyfriend took pictures that I
submitted to Playboy.

Oh, yeah. My boyfriend had a lot of fun
taking pictures.

I was trying to do something with this

I knew the shoot would be just
spectacular, and the photographers, the

makeup artists, the wardrobe people,
everyone is just so nice. It really

makes you feel comfortable.

I've wanted to be in Playboy probably
since I was about 16 years old.

I remember knowing about Playboy and
talking about it.

By the time I was 18, I think, is when I
first submitted photographs.

It's hard to keep quiet.

I told my sister and my brother, and
they're actually very excited for me.

My sister has known I wanted to be in
Playboy for a long time, so she was very

excited for me.

Some of my family members are like my
mom. I think I want to hold off. I mean,

I'm sure she'll be happy for me, but
she's a little protective.

When I first got on my space, it was
just a way to talk to friends and just

share funny pictures of each other and
just mess around. But people just love

knowing about other people's lives, you
know. So it's interesting to me. I know

I go on other people's stages all the
time.

I have one photo on my face of myself in
lingerie, but I've learned my lesson. I

had a picture of myself in a G-string
from the river on there. I was in a

bikini top, but had a G-string on, and
the comments and people offering me sex

was ridiculous. It's from, you know, one
sexy photo.

As far as my experience goes, I haven't
told everybody yet just because I wanted

to go through it and see how it went
first.

And I'm sure all my cousins will know
when the magazine comes out because they

all read it and they know I want to do
it. So they're happy for me. Any other

magazines? No.

she was worried about her students

seeing my pictures.

But other than that, I'm not really
worried about anyone seeing my pictures.
