Dead people are either buried
deep underground

or incinerated
with super toxic substances.

What they suggest is super cool,
composting the dead.

Basically, returning the human body
to a system of natural decomposition.

That's what happens in nature.

Say, a wild boar dies in the forest.

It lies there on the ground.

The first predators eat its flesh.

Then there's the insects.

And all the micro-organisms,
like fungi and all,

help decompose its bones,

feeds other living beings.

It's a cycle that's in constant renewal.

It's in absolute contrast
with what happens in human societies.

The fact that we need
to store our dead

leads to pretty absurd situations.

In Paris, there's so much space
reserved for the dead,

when lots of people live
in super small apartments.

My place was much smaller
than a tomb at Montparnasse cemetery.
