show here today we're taking a look at

classic cars with big engines um this

episode is a compilation video of just

some awesome cars that I put together

for you guys I really love all the cars

in this video from the extreme like this

like this vehicle here to some others

that are maybe a little more subtle than

this one all these cars feature at least

an engine that sticks out in some way

shape or form um I love these cars guys

well it's a 62 Pro Street Impala um it

originally started out with with a small

block in it uh just a small drivetrain I

completely gutted the car tubbed it

slammed It To The Ground um it's got a

9- in rear end in it

narrowed

um it has a 584 Steve Schmidt cubic inch

20° nitrous motor uh with a full nitrous

and everything it's about 1,00 doors uh

don't go that much I run around 1,200

because the chassis and the the uh roll

cage is only certified 8 and 1/2 second

so if I want to go faster which I could

I'd have to uh do a lot more

reinforcement with it and that that'll

be next winter when I do that but um it

was really difficult to put this engine

in this car cuz Nothing fits so I

literally had to do a lot of cutting and

rewelding and redesign in the frame the

crossmember under the engine um had to

build motor mounts so I motor plated it

in the front and

rear uh it just was a lot of work a lot

of and it created swear words building

the car

so but it's it's a good running car I

like it it's I'll never be done with it

yeah but um I I'm hoping to uh probably

in the next few weeks take it to the

track and start doing some testing and

tuning yeah but um with the weight of

the car the power the torque the

drivetrain the a everything I got going

on I'm hoping to be in the low sevens if

if I could get the frame recertified

I this is

awesome owner was telling me that uh

1976 I think is the last time his car

was on the

track the original owner unfortunately

passed away and his wife kept it for him

in a basement so it's like just a time

machine the new owner bought it put a

new engine in it but kept everything

else the

same pretty cool it's like a time

machine drag car from the70s it's

awesome why would you do

that look at this thing what do we got

here it's got to be a custom build

here it's a uh 67 Triumph

Spitfire obviously modified which

is the fun part about this show is

seeing all

the street machines and what people have

done to these cars that otherwise

wouldn't wouldn't look like

this

that thing is

incredible ahead a 55 Chevy pickup cab

and then I built the hood extended it

it's 6'2 long it's on a bus chassis full

size bus so it's got hydraulic disc

brakes all the way around but I got air

over hydraulic brakes it's air ride

front and back took me 7 and 1 12 years

to

build uh it's been done for just about 4

years now so I other than that I don't

know what else to say it's totally

customized I built all the pieces to

build it too I didn't just buy parts I

built most of the parts for it so yeah

so what was the inspiration to to build

something like this um everybody knows

me that I like uh I can't bu I can't

build

original I'm creative in that way and um

I don't know I just I was born in 55 I

never could afford a 55 pickup when I

was younger so I had a dream of having

one and I decided to build something

that's more radical and then I could

pull a trailer with it the truck weighs

12,000 lb so she'll handle a trailer

like nobody's business got a 671 Detroit

Diesel with a 13 speed

under yeah just just it all came

together for a reason all the parts

seemed to come to me when it was time it

was just weird you can't make the stuff

up so meant to be meant to happen I

think is what it come out one to yes

very cool well it's an awesome truck

got a slant six in it with some

turbocharged look at that it's got some

massive horsepower for a slant 6 good

my 71 Plymouth Duster I've owned it

since it was brand new I have uh changed

the engine from

uh 145 horse and 215 ftlb of torque to

over 62 horse and 551 ftlb of torque I

have captured four World Records in

slant 64 mile drag racing two in my

weight class an eighth mile and a quar

mile and I added 150 lb to the trunk and

I got a/4 mile an eighth mile uh Records

in that my driver is Danny BYL of

Sheridon performance over in Baldin

Wisconsin the guy is great thank

mount next to the 300 his plan was to I

rare truck being that it was Factory it

Factory all right wandered a few few

blocks down the well I don't know where

I'm at here but I've wandered a few

blocks away from where we were just at

look at this it's Ford Roadster here

it's got the Flathead in it this thing

awesome this is a 23 Ford by the

way look at that flat hit on

heard him do it at a couple shows before

literally blow your ears out
