When I moved to Hoboken
about a dozen years

ago, it just struck me
just how friendly and

how small town it felt.
So what you see behind

me here is the actual
location for Lily Bloom's

flower shop in the
film It Ends With Us.

A scout reached out to
me and said that they were

interested in seeing
if it would work for

an upcoming film. So I
was going through the

contract and I was
showing it to my wife,

and when she read the title
It Ends With Us, she froze.

She said that this was one of her favorite
authors. In fact, she reached over,

she grabbed one of her
books, and she pulled

it off the shelf.
She's like, "This is it.

" Blake, can you turn this
way? Justin, right here?

The movie came out
in the summer of 2024.

Social media noticed
that Blake Lively and Justin

Balzoni were not doing any press together.
For a movie where they are the co-leads...

It Ends With Us.
It Ends With Us.

It Ends With Us. It Ends With
Us. It Ends With Us is about

domestic violence, but
the message of the film has

been clouded because of
the scandal around its stars.

She claims that there was
sexual harassment on set.

Maybe this guy isn't the guy that you
think he is. And then big jaw drop moment.

He claims civil extortion,
defamation, and that all of this

really is about her wanting
to have control of the movie.

Is Blake Lively a victim?
That is the question.

This is like the most
high-school fight that people

with millions of dollars
can have with each other.

The longer this goes on, the more
reputational damage they will suffer.

All of this is still he said, she said.

"This isn't just a
fluffy celebrity feud.

The actual story is,
I think, a lot darker.

" In August 2016, romance novel
It Ends With Us hit the shelves.

"It Ends With Us is about a
character called Lily Bloom.

While it has got the
romance and love

aspect to it, it very
intricately covers this

subject of domestic
abuse. But it wasn't until

it arrived on BookTok, which is a subset
of TikTok, that it really got picked up.

I am a Colleen Hoover huge
fan. I've read all of her books.

Every single one,
probably once or twice.

They're pretty easy, quick reads. It
Ends With Us came out on BookTok.

And it was a fast
hit. It went viral.

The author of It Ends With
Us, Colleen Hoover, has

a large social media
following. And not just large,

but highly engaged.

I've read eight Colleen
Hoover books so far.

I just need to tell you about this
book that I read by Colleen Hoover.

I finally got my hands on this book.

On TikTok, certain
books go viral.

And Colleen Hoover's novels
became incredibly popular on there.

In particular, It Ends With Us.

A woman got verbally and physically
abused and made it out on the other end.

The domestic violence aspect of it is
something that really caught people's eyes,

because it does it in a way
that is complex and nuanced.

So it covered the serious topic,

while still doing it in a way
that felt engaging and accessible.

The book caught the eye of film producers.
The rights were bought by Wayfarer Studios,

which was owned by actor
and director Justin Baldoni.

I knew of Justin Baldoni. He
was this very sensitive man.

And I don't say
that as a pejorative.

I think being a sensitive
man is a great thing.

He's kind of made a name
for himself outside of acting.

And it really positions his mission, being
somebody who debunks toxic masculinity.

And he started a podcast,
Man Enough Podcast.

In 2019, when Justin
acquired the rights from

Colleen Hoover, it was
really aligned with his brand.

January of 2023, news came out that Blake
Lively is going to be starring in the big

film adaptation of the
successful novel It Ends With Us.

Colleen Hoover enthusiastically
announced the casting on social media.

Hi, guys. Colleen Hoover
here. We have a cast.

Our Lily is going to be
played by Blake Lively.

Blake Lively, y'all.
It's just my dream Lily.

I think there was so
much anticipation for this

film because it had
grown this really organic

fan base from booktok.
Casford Ends With Us

has officially been
announced and I am unwell.

Lily Bloom is going to be played by
none other than Blake Lively. What?

Bringing Blake Lively aboard was a
suggestion from the studio. And Justin saw

the value in bringing on this
actress with name recognition.

Blake Lively has a persona in the
public eye of being fun and fashionable.

Blake Lively kind of built this brand around
her appearance and beauty and fashion.

She was always on the red
carpet showing off amazing dresses.

She was more like kind of
an it girl than a big actress.

She's also known as being
Taylor Swift's best friend.

And yeah, of course, she's
married to Ryan Reynolds.

So everybody
wants to be like her.

Blake Lively was very much loved. She's in
one of Hollywood's biggest power couples.

So this casting, as well
as the love for the book

and for Colleen Hoover, it just made
the absolute perfect combination.

Contracts were signed,
scripts written, and production

began on the movie It
Ends With Us in May 2023.

Hoboken being such a
small town, word travels fast.

When the first day of
shooting arrived, people

were lining the streets
to catch a glimpse of,

you know, Hollywood
in our small town.

My first impressions of
Justin were that he was

utmost professional.
At the conclusion of rap,

Justin invited me over
and he embraced me.

He raised his hands up
and I raised mine to mirror

him and we celebrated
the conclusion of filming.

It was just a very special moment to share.

It Ends With Us premieres in New
York on the 6th of August, 2024.

But on the red carpet,
what should have been

a celebration of the cast and crew's
success is overshadowed. Justin, right here.

Things felt like they
were off at the premiere.

Social media noticed
that Blake Lively and

Justin Baldoni were not
doing any press together.

What is going on with Blake
Lively and Justin Baldoni?

Have you heard anything about
the rift happening behind the scenes?

Clearly something is going on.

For a movie where they are the
co-leads, that is highly unusual.

When you turn this way, Blake.

People picked up that
the cast wasn't following

Justin Baldoni on social
media and they weren't

taking pictures together. The public
thought there was a problem on set.

The internet loves drama and
the internet went wild for this one.

Justin Baldoni was
sent to the basement.

He said, "I wasn't allowed to be
seen. She didn't want me anywhere near

her or the rest of the
cast, so they ushered me

off the carpet and sent
us down to the basement.

" There are people in every
corner of Twitter, TikTok, Instagram.

They picked up on every single
little thing before the media did.

During the entire promotion
of this film, Blake Lively

hasn't been seen with Justin,
the main actor and director.

But of course fans are
theorizing as fans do.

And boom, you have a feud. There was
serious beef between Baldoni and Lively.

There are countless feuds in Hollywood
between actors, between directors and stars.

It's very rare at a
premiere for them not to,

you know, at least look
like they're buddy-buddy.

But the slick marketing
and the critical acclaim

makes "It Ends With
Us" a box office hit.

But the story of the rift between Blake
Lively and Justin Baldoni won't go away.

Blake Lively was getting a lot of
negative feedback on social media.

Oh, look at me in flowers, Lily Blue.

There were so many strange
memes right after and videos

about Blake kind of
being difficult to work with.

She was really flippant
with her initial response.

One of the things she
said was bring your friends,

wear your florals to a film
about domestic violence.

And "It Ends With Us" is in theaters now.

So grab your friends, wear
your florals and head out to see it.

It kind of put a spotlight on
her not taking it as seriously.

And that's what really caused
a lot of people to pile onto her.

Ooh, grab your close friends
and wear your cotton dress.

I want the movie theater to feel like
one big dance party with your girls.

I mean, what's a more fun song to
dance to than My Tears Ricochet?

I don't necessarily think
anyone deserves the

kind of hate that she's
had to deal with though.

But on the 20th of December, 2024, Blake
Lively drops a bombshell legal complaint.

The real life Hollywood
drama between Justin

Baldoni and Blake
Lively deepened today.

She's accused him of sexual harassment,
allegations his lawyers strenuously deny.

I think where this gets
lost in the weeds is the

treating of this as just kind
of a fluffy celebrity feud.

The actual story is, I think, a lot
darker and a lot more complex than that.

Lively releases an 80 page
lawsuit filled with dozens

of sexual harassment
allegations against Baldoni.

These are a few key allegations
that she has levied at him.

Throughout filming,
Mr. Baldoni invaded Miss Lively's

privacy by entering her
makeup trailer uninvited

while she was undressed, including when
she was breastfeeding her infant child.

Mr. Baldoni also routinely
degraded Miss Lively by finding

back-channel ways of
criticizing her body and weight.

Mr. Baldoni engaged in other behaviors that
were shocking and emotionally distressing.

Mr. Baldoni ignored
well-established industry protocols in

filming intimate scenes and
exploited the lack of controls on set.

In a film like this, there
are a lot of intimate scenes.

There's kissing scenes,
there's sex scenes,

there's child birthing scenes.
And Blake alleged that on

some of those scenes, there
was no intimacy coordinator.

I'm Mia Schachter. I'm an intimacy
coordinator for TV, film and theater.

The role of intimacy coordinator
is still relatively new in TV and film.

And there are certain
standards and protocols that

we adhere to shooting
simulated sex and nude scenes,

doing our best to help
the director achieve their

vision while staying
within the actor's comfort.

We talk to the director about
what it is that they want to see.

We go through the
script scene by scene,

we're looking for any instances
of simulated sex or nudity

or anything in that realm,
you know, all the way to kissing.

Lively also takes
issue with some of the

conversations Baldoni
would allegedly have with

her and other members
of the cast and career.

Mr. Baldoni would often
reference pornography to

Miss Lively and on the
first day of production,

Mr. Baldoni described past
sexual relationships to Miss Lively.

Mr. Baldoni objectified Miss
Lively and other women by

commenting on or criticizing
their bodies as sex objects.

One of the allegations
Blake's made is that Justin

Baldoni asked her if her and
Ryan have climaxed together.

Which even just saying for
me feels, I'm going to say

icky because I wouldn't even
ask my closest friends that.

Blake Lively alleges
that Justin asked her if

she and her husband
orgasm at the same time.

I'm thinking about like
who in my life I would

feel that that was an
appropriate question to get.

Um, probably not at work. Probably
only from someone who I've known

for a long time and trust a lot.
And I talk about sex for a living.

A film set is not your typical
workplace. It's long hours

with people who you're
probably meeting for the first time.

There's a little bit of like
summer camp energy.

People get close
really fast and bond.

From reading their text messages, I
do get the sense that at one point there

was like genuine affection between
them and what felt like a friendship.

And then there's these lines that
we're not supposed to cross, but now

you're working with your friends
and it does get very, very blurry.

Some people are saying that
Blake should have complained about

what she's alleging during
filming, and actually she did.

Between May and September 2023,
a writer's strike brought Hollywood

to a standstill, including
the filming of It Ends With Us.

There's this long pause in production during
the writer's strike. And when they go back to

start recording, before doing so, Blake Lively
says, I don't want these things to happen again.

She came back with a list
of demands, we'll call them.

No more discussions to Blake
Lively about personal experiences

with sex, including as it
relates to spouses or others.

No biting or sucking of lip
without Blake Lively consent.

There was actually a signed agreement
between Wayfarer Studios and Blake Lively.

So many of these items seem
like things you would never want to

do to another employee,
regardless of where your workplace is.

You can see that based
on also Sony's reaction.

The Sony employee says,
of course, agree to them.

The detail and the scale of the allegations
against Justin Baldoni shocked the world.

His talent agency, WME,
which also represents Lively

and Reynolds, drops the
actor from their books.

It did make some sense as
to why we hadn't seen Justin

and Blake together
during the press tour at all.

Because why would she be with someone
who made her feel so uncomfortable?

Something that was upsetting
to me is that this is one of the

few very popular movies that
deals with domestic violence.

It's the core plot point. To have these allegations
saying actually one of the major creative

forces behind this was actually engaging in
misogynistic content himself, it's pretty upsetting.

What made these allegations so shocking was
that Justin Baldoni has a podcast where he talks

about how men can be allies to women and how men
can be better in their relationships to women.

My reaction was, oh, what? Like, I thought
this guy was for women. He's saying he's

supportive of a really sensitive topic, in
particular to women, domestic violence.

domestic violence. If you know the
film and you've been following along

and read the book. How could he
do this? I mean, how could he do this?

Several of the key players involved in the
making of It Ends With Us, Colleen Hoover to one

of the lead actors in it, Brandon Sklenor, have
all come out publicly supporting Blake Lively.

Brandon Sklenor shared a
post directing people to read her

complaint, including a little heart
emoji and tagging Blake Lively.

I saw social media sentiment shift more in
flavor of Blake than it had been certainly.

You know, if you read the complaint,
I think she had very valid reasons

why she wouldn't want to show up
to work in an environment like that.

She's not doing this because it's fun or it's going
to get her anything. She's doing this probably

because she has daughters at home and feels
the need to stand up for what she went through.

But sexual harassment isn't the
only allegation made by Blake Lively.

Lively claims Baldoni waged an
internet smear campaign against her.

An accusation echoed in an
explosive article by The New York Times.

Literally a day after The New York
Times rolls out the big headline.

The New York Times
article was a huge bombshell.

It had so much
detailed information.

And The New York Times is
read by a lot of people and

is so highly respected
that people paid attention.

At the heart of the alleged smear
campaign is PR specialist Melissa Nathan.

When the film was about to
come out, Justin Baldoni hired a PR

called Melissa Nathan, who is
very well known within Hollywood.

She represented Johnny Depp during
his defamation case with Amber Heard.

Blake alleges that she was behind
this huge smear campaign against her.

She includes in her complaint
text exchange between Melissa

Nathan and Justin Baldoni's
PR person, Jennifer Abel.

The texts include comments like this:

"We can't write it down to him.
We can't write 'We will destroy her.'

He has to look at it as an information
document for us to be armed with. That's all.

Imagine if a document saying all the things
that he wants ends up in the wrong hands."

The texts themselves were very
damning because it did make it seem

like they orchestrated this campaign
to try and take Blake Lively down.

It seems to imply retribution because
of her sexual harassment claims.

He seemed to be worried that all of
the sexual harassment claims that Blake

Lively had made was going to come out
and he felt the need to get ahead of it.

It's also alleged that Justin
Baldoni's team used bots to artificially

inflate and manipulate social
media content against Blake Lively.

on missing disinformation online.

We look for key things. The
messaging that's being put out

there, you know, these attacks,
are they similar in nature?

Are we seeing the repeat?

So, in this case, there was
"cancel Blake Lively hashtag on X.

" If you're my firm, you're
looking at that hashtag and then

looking at the accounts
that are pushing that hashtag.

Blake Lively and her team will more than
likely have hired a firm to look into this.

And I do believe
they will find accounts

that were created
specifically to target her.

Who's behind
that is the question.

I believe there's evidence
that something did occur.

It's pretty insane to see the PR
string pulling getting exposed

because that's something that's
always been behind the curtain.

Something that you don't really
see but you understand is happening.

The core of what Blake is alleging is
that she experienced sexual harassment.

She reported sexual harassment
and then was retaliated against.

That you can be one of the most wealthy and
successful people in your industry and still

face alleged retaliation for speaking up
and making allegations of sexual misconduct.

I think is extremely alarming.

If she is claiming all of these
things and so much of it happened

on the film set, I thought,
wow, wow, I feel so bad for her.

But the accusations of sexual
harassment and orchestrating

a smear campaign are
vehemently denied by Justin Baldoni.

He instructs his own lawyers.

He didn't take it lying down.

He then sued the New
York Times for defamation.

He came out so strongly
against the New York Times.

Not only did he trust you them for $250 million,
which is this like ridiculously high fee,

but even suing a paper for defamation is
extremely difficult when you are a public figure.

Under U.S. defamation
law, Justin Baldoni has the

burden to prove that the
New York Times knowingly lied.

You have to prove malice.

I don't think he actually
thinks he's going to win.

Really, it was more of a PR strategy.

All of a sudden you see Justin is
going after the New York Times.

I believe that was probably
advised because building up his own

text receipts, his own behind-the-scenes
footage, his own narrative.

That takes time to dig up.

A quick defense is let's go after the
journalist or the outlet that did me dirty.

That's a quick way to get it out in the public
and from there you start to build public

interest in why is he doing that instead
of what the article is actually portraying.

According to Baldoni, the New York
Times edited conversations and didn't give

us full context and they didn't give him
and his lawyers enough time to respond.

In his lawsuit, they included texts
and emails between Justin Baldoni

and Melissa Nathan to show they
were not planting stories in the media.

But it's not the New York Times
job to give all sides of the story.

You might not like that certain news
outlets give only liberal perspectives

or conservative perspectives, but
that doesn't open them up to liability.

The New York Times has accused
Baldoni of trying to drag the paper

into its feud of Lively and has
asked the court to dismiss the case.

"I believe victims should be believed.
However, is Blake Lively a victim?

That is the question. Many believe she's
not the victim. She's the perpetrator.

" Two weeks after Baldoni
sues the New York Times for

defamation, he launches a
suit against Blake Lively herself.

On January 16th, Justin
countersues Blake for $400 million.

I mean, this is a big jaw-drop moment.

The numbers that Justin
Baldoni is suing the New

York Times, $250 million,
Blake Lively, $400 million.

These are shock numbers.
These are there to gain attention.

Even if he were to win in court, he's
not going to win anything near that.

Justin Baldoni hired lawyer Brian
Friedman, who is very well-known

within Hollywood as kind of being
the attack dog for the underdog.

This guy is ferocious.
He has spoken to the media non-stop.

Brian Friedman launches a
website filled with 168 pages

of what he says is evidence
of what really happened.

Hundreds of pages
of legal allegations, text

messages, photos. You
have the timeline of events.

So much information has
been put out into the public.

Justin Baldoni is suing
her for defamation.

He's saying that she made a
false sexual harassment claim.

He countered her point
by point, saying she claimed

this, but in reality, here's
what truly happened.

A lot of the concrete
moments within the sexual

misconduct allegations are
actually fairly uncontested.

What's contested is the
context surrounding them.

One of the examples he
gives is that Blake Lively herself

invited him into the trailer
while she was breastfeeding.

Lively herself invited
Baldoni into her trailer

to work on lines while
she pumped breast milk.

Lively regularly breastfed in front
of Baldoni while they had meetings.

He also says neither the
alleged sexual harassment nor the

accompanying smear campaign
against Lively ever existed.

Blake Lively is accusing Justin Baldoni
of asking her trainer for her weight.

So she said that that was fat
shaming. He said it's because he has

a back problem and there was a
scene where he needed to lift her.

The allegation that Justin
Baldoni had asked Blake whether

her and Ryan climaxed
together, this is what Justin said.

Lively references in her complaint
instances that were shockingly

mischaracterized and in no way
inappropriate or unprofessional.

All of this is he said, she
said. Justin Baldoni, you know,

his argument isn't really that
those items didn't happen.

He just is saying that
there's a different perspective.

Did they actually create a
hostile work environment

or was it all consensual?
That's really the question.

One of the slam dunks the
Baldoni's team suggests is, well, we

had an intimacy coordinator and
you didn't want to meet with her.

Justin says, contrary to Lively's
knowingly false claims, it was Lively

who refused to meet with the intimacy
coordinator to plan out their scenes.

I don't think that's necessarily
that uncommon to be like,

well, I'll just wait until,
you know, the shoot starts.

I haven't seen the assertion
that she never met with

the intimacy coordinator,
which would be very different.

In my experience, when an actor
says, I don't need to meet the intimacy

coordinator until we're shooting, as
much as it, you know, hinders my process,

it does typically indicate that
they trust their scene partner.

And those texts made me think that at one
point she did feel a lot of trust with him.

Among the many allegations
made by Blake Lively is that

Justin Baldoni improvised sexual
contact without her consent.

The key example given by Lively
is a slow motion dancing scene.

Blake Lively alleged that he
would do unapproved movements

and, and contact and
kissing and smelling her neck.

This is what Justin said.

Any suggestion that this scene was
filmed in any manner other than pure

professionalism by Baldoni is unequivocally
countered with actual evidence.

Her allegation of sexual harassment is a
documented unknowingly fabricated lie.

So what did Justin Baldoni do?

His lawyer released 10 plus
minutes of unedited footage that let

the public see and decide for
themselves what they were looking at.

Justin Baldoni released
the footage to try

and make the case that
he did nothing wrong.

that, in fact, her claims about his impromptu
kissing was inaccurate and dishonest.

For a lot of people it did
seemingly vindicate him.

Blake's team then comes
in and says, "Oh no, this is

exactly what we're talking
about. She's uncomfortable.

Her body language is alluding to the
fact that she's not really into this scene.

" His team seemed to be
accusing Blake of trying to direct

that scene and like
undermine his creative vision.

I don't see that.

I see an actress trying not to
kiss her co-worker and instead of

saying, "I don't want to do that,"
she's making other suggestions.

We'll just do like a-our lips
are right next to each other.

Yeah, gotcha.

But I think I should start talking.

Okay.

Do you know what I mean?

Yeah.

Which is actually pretty considerate
because I think it could be humiliating for

everyone there to see Blake Lively tell
Justin Baldoni, "Stop trying to kiss me.

" Social media is divided on
whose side the video helps.

Justin Baldoni was clearly
in character and Blake

Lively maybe did not
understand method acting.

It doesn't seem super inappropriate to me.

To me that looks like a woman
who is extremely uncomfortable.

There are very obvious cues
that she was uncomfortable.

All right, cut.

I think we got plenty.

Yes.

Both sides think it's great for them.

So when this goes to trial, that video
will for sure be shown in front of a jury

and you'll hear two completely different
perspectives on what that video is.

But Justin Baldoni doesn't
just refute Blake Lively's claims.

He accuses Lively of
taking over his film.

Justin Baldoni says in his
counterclaim that almost immediately

Lively began inserting herself
into the production process.

Basically he's saying, her saying that she
needed creative control over the project and

threatening to walk out if she didn't get
that creative control amounted to extortion.

The key example provided
by Baldoni's legal team is a

controversial rewrite of one of
the film's most pivotal moments.

There is a core scene in
the movie. It's when Ryle and

Lily meet for the first time.
It takes place on a rooftop.

For sure because my dad died on
Monday. So yeah, that's actually why I

came up here to have a good cry and
hopefully meet a wealthy neurosurgeon.

Sorry.

Blake Lively in an interview on the
red carpet gave it up as an exclusive

to this reporter that Ryan Reynolds
had written the rooftop scene.

There was an alleged meeting
between Justin and Blake's

side to discuss this
rewrite of the rooftop scene.

But it wasn't just Blake
and Justin who were there.

She had Ryan Reynolds and Taylor
Swift, her best friend and her husband.

Justin has alleged that he was
essentially strong-armed into accepting

the script changes by Ryan
Reynolds, by Taylor Swift as well.

Baldoni has included a series
of text messages from Lively.

His legal team claims they
are evidence of a veiled threat.

Most of us reacted very strongly to the
text message that Blake had sent to Justin

Baldoni, explaining that she's Khaleesi
from Game of Thrones and she has dragons.

It wasn't in the message who her
dragons were, but everyone kind of

knew that it was Ryan Reynolds
and Taylor Swift she was referring to.

So by saying that, it was like a
nicely put little threat, I would say.

Justin Baldoni eventually accepted
Lively and Reynolds' changes to the script.

Baldoni sent Lively a
voice note to apologize

for his initial reaction
to the meeting.

Hey Blake, it is 2:00 in the morning.
Hopefully this does not wake you up.

So Justin Baldoni releases this
voicemail that he leaves 2:00 AM to

Blake Lively, apologizing for
evidently this earlier interaction.

And I'm really sorry. I for sure
fell short. And I'm really sorry.

I f***ed up. That is a fail on my part.

He's apologetic. He's trying
to, you know, express sympathy.

You know, he's admitting
some level of fault.

We should all have friends
like that, aside from the fact

that they're two of the most
creative people on the planet.

The three of you guys
together, it's unbelievable.

Talk about energy, just
to force all three of you.

Baldoni releases the clip
as part of his defense to

show he was willing to
address Lively's concerns.

For some, he's vindicated.

He is so concerned for her well-being.
He is so apologetic.

For others, it's backfired.

You were Ryan and you were listening
to that. You would also be like...

Get away from my woman.

I don't know. Getting a
voice note like that, and

it's not even just the
content of the voice note.

It's the way he's talking.
It's quite like low and raspy.

I hope you're feeling
better, and give Ryan my love.

Thank you for sending me that.

It means the world to
me that you trust me

with your feelings and
your thoughts like that.

And I can't wait to
spend more time with you.

It's 2:00 a.m. in the
morning. There are definitely

people who thought
it was a little creepy.

There's others who say, "Hey,
she texted him right before.

This was a justified voice call.

" As a lawyer, I think, why release
something that does? It is a little

questionable of whether or not
that's appropriate in a workplace.

I think what I mainly got
from the message was that

he was really desperately
trying to please Blake.

I think he was afraid of
her at that point because

she had already threatened
him with her dragons.

It's interesting because
his lawsuit was really

all about how there was
this power imbalance.

He had to agree to everything
she said. But that was also

why he wanted her in this movie
because she brought her fame.

She brought her star power.
She brought her husband, Ryan Reynolds.

They were going to walk on the red carpet.
Justin Baldoni knew all this.

But what Baldoni
perhaps did not anticipate

was Lively's involvement
in editing the movie.

She had her own cut of the
film made. And she got her friend

Taylor Swift to let them use
one of her songs in the film.

Baldoni is claiming that
Blake Lively was threatening to

derail the production, was
threatening to walk off set.

According to the email communications that
I saw, she was refusing to approve this.

She was delaying that. She was being
highly unprofessional, many would say.

Apparently, it was
the Blake Lively cut of

the film that we ended
up seeing in theaters.

I believe that Sony, the
film's distributor and major

financer, they were scared,
in my opinion, of Blake Lively.

The bigger star tends to get backed because
at the end of the day, the studio wants

this to make a lot of money and the bigger
star is going to draw a bigger audience.

She took complete editorial
control of the film. That's not a crime.

Who's to say that Baldoni's
version was inherently better?

Blake Lively's complaint is all
about that she was sexually harassed.

And a lot of the conversation that
you see out there is really more about

how she wanted too much control
over the set, which is separate, legally.

I find it interesting that Blake is both framed as this incredibly
powerful person who, you know, can use Taylor Swift and everyone

in her arsenal to do whatever she wants, but also she needs to
rely on manipulating sexual harassment in order to get her way.

It's interesting that
those two things exist.

In February 2025, a New
York federal judge rules

that Lively versus
Baldoni will go to court.

Social media goes wild.

A trial date has been
set for Blake Lively

and Justin Baldoni to
battle it out in court.

We now have a date, but
it is not until March of 2026.

I've seen people saying,
"Oh, I can't believe

the trial's not until
2026. I can't wait.

" In there is the assumption
that this is all entertainment.

March of 2026.

Really?

2026?

I want that judge dismissed
and waterboarded immediately.

There are just hundreds of pages of
legal documents here that have been filed.

The amount of texts and
photos and information out

there is almost
unprecedented for a civil lawsuit.

Blake Lively has promised to bring forward two more
women from "It Ends With Us" who say that Justin Baldoni

mistreated her and mistreated them on set and if that
comes to fruition, that would be a big deal for the case.

I think it's important to realize
that all of the stuff we're seeing so

far, none of this is actually evidence
that's been presented in court.

I think in any of these cases, there's
always a case of he said, she said, because

we're not on the inside. We're just
looking at what they're presenting to us.

In my professional opinion, Blake Lively has a
stronger case because all of Justin Baldoni's

arguments about fame and control don't
really refute her claim of sexual harassment.

Those allegations, the improvising of the
kissing, talking about pornography, regardless of

where your workplace is, those seem to be pretty
strong basis for a claim of sexual harassment.

The pair seem intransigent,
set to take this all the way to trial.

This will be a jury trial, which means
that it's dependent on how 12 jurors view

this case, even though technically
they're not supposed to influence a jury.

Both sides absolutely want
to get their perspective out,

not only for their case at
hand, but for public opinion.

From a PR standpoint, both
of them are going to have

a hard time getting the
mud off of their reputation.

They're both going to have to do some work.

I believe for Blake, she
needs to be vulnerable.

She needs to have a moment
where she's a mom of four.

We want to be connected
to her and empathize like

what woman hasn't been
uncomfortable in a workplace.

That's a common situation
and we want to support her.

For Justin, you know, he has this
platform of debunking toxic masculinity.

He needs to also, hey, tail
between my legs here, guys.

I could have done better.

That's a relatable moment.

The saddest thing about this is
the message of this movie is taking

second place to this conversation
about what happened on set.

The biggest loss here is this incredible
film that so many people were really

excited about and a topic that really
needs to be addressed in Hollywood.

At this point, this is basically
like the unraveling of a family feud.

In terms of winners and losers,
there really are no winners.

It's all losers.

The bigger loser here is
victims of domestic violence.

This movie was about domestic violence and
nobody's talking about domestic violence.

The other sad thing is
that there is an allegation

of sexual harassment on
a domestic violence set.

And the whole public seems to
have decided whether or not that's

true long before the evidence
has even been introduced a trial.
