is incredibly important.

[Hunter] With the majority
of the company in it,

it starts your march
towards the WWE Super Bowl.

It starts the Road to WrestleMania.

[commentator] The individuals who are
numbers one and two will enter this ring.

Then, every two minutes thereafter,
another Superstar enters the ring.

Elimination occurs when an individual
is thrown over the top rope,

but both feet must touch the floor.

The winner of both the men's
and the women's Rumble

get a shot at the champion
of their choice at WrestleMania.

[commentator] Stone Cold is going
to WrestleMania!

- [JR] John Cena!
- [Cole] Seth Rollins!

- [commentator 2] Charlotte Flair!

[Hunter] So when you start to make
a decision like this,

there's so many variables in this,
and you gotta try to think of all of them.

You can very easily… begin
to put somebody in a position

that fans just won't accept.

[Baeckstrom] In terms of building,
again, from a storyline standpoint,

I think, just in terms
of heading into Mania,

Breakker winning the Rumble
and going into Mania as the challenger

feels like a… more organic build for him.

[Hunter] So the risk with Bron Breakker
is everything from, can he actually do it?

Can he mentally handle it?
Will fans accept it?

So you have to really be sure.

The Royal Rumble is a star-making moment…
for him to win and

get where we need to go.

For whatever reason, him winning the title
immediately feels to me like we're kinda…

[Hunter] Doesn't feel like
shoving him down your throat.

I think you could make a shocking moment
out of it,

but I… I still worry a bit

that it feels like
you're just shoving him down your throat.

to think about it a little bit more.

On the women's side,
it seems much cleaner.

Liv Morgan is weighing heavily
into our plans for the Royal Rumble,

but there's still a few questions
around her health.

[Morgan] I'm at the process in my recovery
where it's pretty much balls to the wall,

which means I can essentially do anything.

We are in my barn

that I turned into, like,
my gym-slash-wrestling ring.

I just created a space to stay sharp,

which… It paid off huge
during this recovery.

I feel like Snow White sometimes,

How am I reacting to cardio?

that would simulate a match in steps.

Man, I forgot. Like, this shit's hard.

I've been in
every single women's Royal Rumble

since we started doing them in 2018.

So not only do I have the most experience,
but I have a few tricks up my sleeve

that I don't think
anyone's gonna be prepared for.

I would love to not be
the runner-up anymore.

So we'll see.

I feel like if there was ever a year
where Liv could win the Royal Rumble,

it might be this year.

I don't know if I told you this or not,

having that is something

to wrap my head around at the moment.

the timeline is six months, I think.

You know, you can do it in five
with a rotator surgery.

left shoulder arthroscopy,

and the indicated procedure

what that crew's doing down there,

NXT is our developmental brand.

As we recruit talent,

prospective Superstars
from around the world, NXT in Orlando,

the Performance Center, it's a place
where prospective talents can come in

and be trained by our trainers.

the way we do production.

Getting them ready to take the steps
to learn WWE from the ground up,

so they can be called up

and kind of hit the ground running
on Raw or SmackDown.

And you see these talent ready to go,

just waiting for that moment.

But it's mine because, you know,
I put my own twist on it.

But, at the end of the day,
I'm coming to kill you.

I grew up in Lagos, Nigeria,

uh, spent 19 years there.

And then I moved to the States in 2018
to, you know, go to the NCAA and compete

because I was a shot putter back then.

[grunts]

This is the implement that defined
a very long stretch of my life.

I finished third in the country,
third at nationals in 2022.

Then I was a two-time SEC indoor champion
and a one-time SEC outdoor champion.

[indistinct announcement over PA]

[Oba yells]

- [man] Oh!
- [woman] Whoa!

[spectators clapping]

- [man 2] Not bad!

[Oba] It taught me many things,
taught me discipline.

I was able to work with multiple coaches

who had different lessons for me
to walk away with

that didn't just apply to this.

Uh, those lessons also carried over
into, you know, my life

and brought me to where I am today.

So this, uh… I owe a lot of my life
to this ball right here. [chuckles]

[intriguing music playing]

[Oba] I was exposed to the WWE
from a very young age in Nigeria.

My dad was a fan,
so inherently I became a fan myself.

CM Punk,

Triple H, I resonated with the most.

The physical stunts
and the matches are cool,

but what pulled me in

was the drama that came with…
with wrestling, the emotion.

I believe now we have a live WWE channel
that just constantly pumps WWE content,

but at the time, there was no such thing,
so I would have to wait a few days.

It would be a guy
who would have a little kiosk,

and he would have your classic movies
and your recent movies "pirated."

Uh, and then
he would have, of course, wrestling.

And, see, I don't know the means
to which they got these tapings.

I wasn't concerned with the magic.

[woman] Out! In!

[man] Good, good, good.

- [whistle blows]
- [man] Another one. Yeah!

So, uh, I was contacted via DM.

Yes, uh, the WWE slid in my DMs.

And at first, I thought it was a hoax.
I was like, "Nah, there's no ways."

And then upon further research,
I, you know, looked it up,

and I was like, "Wow, this is a thing."

There was a new influx of talent
that they were trying to hunt for,

and I was part of that crew.

He's one of those guys
that when you see him for the first time,

I remember thinking, like, "Damn."

"If he carries through

with what he looks like he can do
in this tryout,

like, how is this guy
not a huge star for us?"

I was like, "This guy's
just almost too good to be true."

It was just a no-brainer,

that unless we're totally wrong here,
this one is a rocket ship.

[intriguing music playing]

When I found out that I was in the Rumble,
I was like, "Okay, I'm getting called up."

One of my big goals going into the event

is to, uh, have, like, people
coming out of the Rumble going,

"Man, that Oba Femi guy is the real deal."

I have to deliver.

I've spoken to Cena a lot.
He has given me advice.

He said I should always have
a "look at me" moment.

He said I should always, you know,
take time to tell them who I am.

[Cole] And now look at this.
Femi with one arm.

[Oba] It's not the moves.
It's the things in between the moves.

- [crowd] Oh!

you know

where you want him to be.

He's going to be
in a main event spot at WrestleMania.

But you also come out with a firm belief

that Oba Femi versus Brock Lesnar…
is money.

If we played our cards correctly,
that we could have something white-hot.

There's not a lot of real estate
on WrestleMania,

but Oba is
the most legitimate, bad motherfucker

that has walked through the door
in a while.

They're already going like,
"Holy shit, him against Brock Lesnar."

The marquee guys have this intensity
that's hard to describe,

but, like, you feel it's authentic.

He reminds me so much of Roman.

'Cause when you speak to him,
he's very measured.

He processes quickly,

and he understands his youth is an asset.
