haven't even had
their first mammogram yet.

Patients 25 to 29
who are BRCA positive

should undergo annual
breast MRI screenings,

given their elevated risk
of developing breast cancer.

And what about after 30?

Well, 30 to 75 should do
an annual mammogram

and a breast MRI.

Precisely.

If cancer develops,

the additional testing
helps us find out early.

Stage 0 or Stage 1.

So it'll be easier to treat
if caught that early?

Naomi may not experience, uh,

the same thing that
her grandmother did, but...

-Cancer is cancer.
-There are no guarantees.

Well, I want to eliminate
the risk altogether.

That's why I'm considering
the double mastectomy.

There is no 100% guarantee,

but the procedure is
highly effective

in reducing the risk
