Two weeks after that,
strange things began to happen

to the people close to Roman Janowski.

Some went mad,

some drowned in the swamp.

And then it was Roman Janowski's turn.

One day he was riding home
across a heather moor

in the dim moonlight.

Suddenly he heard a horn

and saw vague shadows of riders.

The horses' manes fluttered in the wind,
and cheetahs raced ahead of the cavalcade.

Leading them all, illuminated by
the moon, King Stakh galloped.

The eyes of people and horses
and cheetahs glowed.

Silent riders pursued Roman Janowski.

The horses seemed
to be flying through the air.
