(Episode 29)

Let's not shed blood.

Isn't that what you're here for?

On Leon's orders. Am I wrong?

- Let's take this call. - That's enough.

(Director Lee Jae Hun)

Well?

Do you want to answer it?

Darn it.

Are you okay?

Yes, I'm fine. I need to use the bathroom.

(Kang Tae Woo)

Darn.

The receiver cannot be reached. Please leave a message...

(Hee Ju)

(My Husband)

Who is Leon? Where is he?

Tell me!

Just kill me instead.

I'll die if I betray him anyway.

Go on.

Kill me.

Do it.

Fine.

I'll kill you.

Devotion, loyalty.

Not everyone deserves that title. No matter how much...

you're loyal to him, do you think he'll protect you?

I know too.

That I'm just a mere tool.

Seeing him making me do something like this,

I guess he's finished using me now.

Run away now if you want to live.

Worry about yourself.

If you keep chasing him like this,

you'll die.

Go tell him.

That I'll catch him with my own hands.

Mr. Kang,

you never change.

Good luck.

Are you leaving?

Yes, it's late.

You didn't drink, did you?

You only said cheers.

Did you see?

I better get going too, sir.

You should stay for another drink with me.

Okay.

I have something to discuss regarding the VIP investment club,

and it'll be fun to have a man-to-man talk.

Drive carefully.

Okay.

Call me an hour from now.

Don't forget.

Come.

Okay.

Excuse me.

The woman sitting here. Did she leave with someone?

No. She paid the bill and left.

I'm concerned about something.

What is it?

An employee of mine failed in an important investment deal.

If it were you, what would you do?

Well...

If he caused damage to the company, I'd fire him.

I knew it.

You and I really click.

Cheers.

Oh, yes.

(Your reserved email has been sent successfully.)

You came later than I thought.

Why did you...

let Kang Tae Woo live?

Kang Tae Woo is the one who let me live.

Tell the boss to watch his back.

He's not your ordinary man.

Call me an hour from now.

Don't forget.

Wait. No, sir. I'm really drunk. I've had enough.

Come on.

We've only just begun.

This is the wine that I really cherish.

Let's have some more.

"Caza del zorro". Fox hunt.

It's a mysterious and captivating wine.

Do you know who the fox...

I want to hunt down is?

Who is it?

It's the woman you love the most.

Yoon Hee Ju.

You see, back then...

We could've gotten along at that time,

but I suppose she got a very wrong idea about me,

judging from how fiercely determined she is to take me down...

even to this day.

So you're...

Leon?

Leon is dead.

My name is Daniel Kim,

the CEO of DK Investment...

and your sworn brother.

You piece of...

So what is this?

Did you intentionally approach me from the get-go?

Did you reveal my father-in-law's corrupt deeds...

and hurt my company financially?

Was it all your doing?

Sit down.

We should talk about the business...

You scumbag.

What? "Business"?

The VIP investment club.

Do you know why I let you be in charge of that?

You see, you need a good facade to attract customers.

"The husband of Un Am Foundation's chairwoman".

Such a frontman that can attract people.

This shouldn't hurt your pride.

Three years ago, Chairman Yoon Ho Sung...

played the exact same role, and he did an excellent job.

You lunatic.

How dare you use my father-in-law?

I didn't use him. We had a deal.

And now, I'm offering you the exact same opportunity.

Stop spewing utter nonsense.

I'll never make the mistake of doing...

what Hee Ju doesn't want again.

Do not harm her.

If you do, I will kill you.

Are you headed to the police?

You can tell them all about me.

But then, you'll have to turn yourself in.

The photographer,

Yoo Mi Ra.

She died an unfair death because of the money, you know.

Lee Jae Hun.

You killed her.

Instigating a murder is considered a serious offense.

We're standing at a crossroads at the moment.

One path will lead you to great success, and the other one...

is a road to your cruel downfall.

Your choice will decide whether or not...

Yoon Hee Ju will be okay.

Get lost, you scumbag.

[VIU Ver] KBS2 E29 '9.9 Billion Woman' "Jae Hun's Crisis" -♥ Ruo Xi ♥-

That lunatic...

What does he take me for?

What do you want? Jerks!

- What's this about? - You punk!

Drag him out!

(Ms. Jung Seo Yeon)

- Hello? - Lee Jae Hun is in danger.

What do you mean?

Some men attacked him.

I'm at Daeyeong Tech now.

Daeyeong Tech? Why did he go there?

No idea. Those men brought him here.

What about you? Are you all right?

Yes. Thankfully, they didn't see me.

Wait there. Don't leave the car. I'll be on my way.

Let go, you jerk. Let go of me.

(Boss)

Why turn yourself in when success is right in front of you?

Why would you do that? I'm disappointed in you, I must say.

You psycho.

Hey, you see...

I have a thing called conscience, unlike you.

Conscience...

It can be a huge nuisance.

That's too bad.

Because of you,

Yoon Hee Ju is now in danger.

You scumbag!

If you dare to lay...

even just a finger on Hee Ju,

I will kill you.

This is why you two shouldn't have fought.

What?

A dispute between two people engaged in a secret dealing.

The outcome?

A tragedy for both of them.

Goodbye.

(Boss)

Let go. Let go of me.

Jae Hun. Jae Hun.

Jae Hun.

Are you okay? Do you hear me?

- Jae Hun. - Seo Yeon.

Call...

Call...

I'll call an ambulance first.

Hee Ju.

Call Hee Ju first.

Hee Ju... Now.

I was going to turn myself in.

That incident.

It wasn't your fault.

I... ruined everything.

Stop talking. I'll call Hee Ju.

Daniel Kim.

He's Leon.

Hang on. Wait.

(Hee Ju)

(Seo Yeon)

What?

Honey.

What are you doing with Seo Yeon's phone?

Are DK's newest employees out for drinks?

I heard you joined.

Where's Yu Ri?

In dreamland, of course. It's late at night.

I want to hear her voice.

My daughter.

You're crazy.

Did you drink a lot?

(Hee Ju)

Did you hang up?

No, no. I'm here.

Hee Ju.

I'm sorry.

For what?

For getting ticked off and leaving home?

Or for joining a company your wife doesn't approve of?

Everything.

I'm sorry for everything.

You're trying to smooth things over again.

Do you think I'll let you come home?

Hee Ju.

Will you,

for one last time,

let me off...

just this once?

I let you off ever since we got married.

It's time you grew up.

Hey.

You know...

that's what I'm like.

I'm pathetic.

You know that much.

Still,

you put up with...

a fool like me.

And you loved me.

Thank you for that.

Honey.

Jae Hun.

What's wrong?

Are you very drunk?

No.

Not at all.

Sorry.

I feel so sleepy.

I'm fine.

Put Seo Yeon on.

Hee Ju.

I miss you.

And Yu Ri too.

Jae Hun.

Where are you?

Hee Ju.

Jae Hun.

I'm sorry...

I love you.

I love you.

Jae Hun.

Honey!

Jae Hun!

Honey! Jae Hun!

Jae Hun!

Honey!

(Episode 30 will air shortly.)

(Episode 30)

Daniel Kim.

The CEO of DK Investment is Leon?

That's what Jae Hun told me.

Are you sure?

I saved him.

The night the money was burned,

near the accident site.

I neglected the person whom I had to save...

and ended up saving someone else. And he is...

Calm down.

What are you talking about? That man is Leon.

He killed Jae Hun.

So? What will you do right now?

I'll call the police.

I'll testify as a witness.

I'll tell them that the three of us were together...

and that I left first.

- After that... - It's useless.

My junior detective died in front of my eyes.

Yet he still left the country with no trouble at all.

We'll never catch him with just circumstantial evidence.

Then...

are you saying...

there's nothing we can do?

We need to find what we can do.

Until then, we have no choice but to pretend we don't know.

If we move hastily, we'll go down instead.

I'm sorry for your loss.

I don't know what to say.

You can call me anytime.

If I can help in any way, I won't hesitate to help.

What did you ask...

my husband to do?

He seemed determined about the VIP investment business.

He had more than enough potential.

Throughout our dinner,

he never stopped worrying about you.

He wanted to use this opportunity to prove his talent as a husband.

He was such a passionate man.

"Fishing..."

"and life is all about timing."

I'll never forget your advice, Mr. Lee.

It's about time I catch myself a big fish.

I can't do anything, no matter how much I click it.

Has the site been shut down?

Who sent this address to you?

It's the dark web.

Dark web? What is that?

It's a network that's used mostly for crimes...

such as drugs, hacking, terror, and smuggling.

It's also known as the "dark internet".

It can't be reached through an ordinary browser.

It requires a specific program.

Don't worry and find whatever you can.

I'm sure there's something important on DK or Leon.

- Hurry. - Okay.

Hey.

Did you visit the funeral home?

I bet a funeral home for rich people will be crowded,

but I don't know...

if there's even a funeral home set up for Seo Min Kyu.

I went there briefly too.

Goodness.

By the way, Ms. Jang will be discharged tomorrow.

She said she has something she must tell you,

and asked you to visit her.

Go home and get some rest.

You haven't had a bite all day.

You'll faint at this rate.

I can't even cry.

It feels as if Jae Hun is pulling a mean prank.

I keep wanting to smile...

let alone cry.

A while ago,

I almost smiled...

in front of someone who came to pay his respects.

Yu Ri doesn't know yet.

I told her Jae Hun went to the US on a business trip.

I don't know how I should tell her.

I have no idea.

Hee Ju, there's something I have to tell you.

Daniel Kim.

It's about the CEO of DK.

I know.

That he's Leon.

How did you know?

After he visited earlier,

I gathered the pieces of the puzzle,

and I realized it.

He approached you, lured Jae Hun,

and when our foundation got into trouble,

he invested funds as if he was waiting.

It's something a man who wants to corner me would do.

I'm sorry.

I...

found out too late.

I'm going to turn myself in.

Turn yourself in?

I'll confess all the sins I've committed,

and reveal that he is Leon.

Including what happened to Jae Hun.

Don't be absurd.

Who said you can do that?

Do you think a man like him won't be able to evade the law?

Even if he is found guilty,

I can't accept that.

Prison?

No way.

I'll punish him with my own hands.

So don't even dream of turning yourself in.

If you get in my way,

I will...

kill you myself.

You.

Okay.

It would be okay do die like that.

But...

if I don't turn myself in,

the only way to atone for my sins...

is to destroy him.

I don't know how I'll do it,

but if I fail,

then...

I'll let you kill me.

(Ledger)

Mr. Kang.

I entered the dark web address,

but this is the only list I found.

I didn't find any attachments or anything else.

- Good job. - What?

This is Leon's source of money.

It's the list of bank accounts he has worldwide.

Bank accounts?

This isn't just an ordinary passcode.

It requires an extremely complicated code.

It's him.

Are you sure?

Yes.

How could I ever forget these evil eyes?

Although he shaved off his mustache,

I'm certain this is that Spanish guy's face.

We need to find his weakness.

But I have nothing yet.

I'm going to pretend I don't know until then.

I found a list of his bank accounts.

I haven't been able to crack it yet,

but I'm certain it's Leon's hidden sources of money.

Where did you find that?

Seo Min Kyu gave this gift to me before he died.

Now, do you know?

Once he starts to make a move,

people around him start to die 1 by 1.

I'll stop him...

before more people die.

Mr. Kang.

That man got rid of Seo Min Kyu...

in order to send you a warning.

Not to chase him anymore.

So?

Give me...

the list of his bank accounts.

I'll try to crack the passcode.

I'm the only one who can investigate Leon from up close.

Since he trusts me,

I'll be able to find his weakness.

Don't be mistaken. He doesn't trust anyone.

Mr. Kang.

Give me a chance to atone for my sins.

Don't you think it's too late?

I'm not asking for forgiveness.

I'm doing it for the people left,

and to stop something worse from happening.

Mr. Kang.

Let's try figuring out a way how we can get him.

If you leave like this,

you won't be able to come back to this place again.

I would like to do some thinking.

I want to think about what kind of husband I am to you...

and what you and I live for.

You haven't known that until now?

Just because you have your answer...

doesn't mean it's the right answer.

I'll get going.

Is this how you tell me what the answer is?

You haven't changed a bit since we dated.

How could you mock me like this?

- Give me two of these. - Sure.

- How much is it? - 15 dollars.

What do you want this for?

I'm going to make some ice packs. I handle food supplies for work.

- Have a good day. - Bye.

(Chemical Shop)

Did Hee Ju really ask you to meet?

Yes. She said she'd drop by my office,

so I just told her I'd come.

She must be still mourning,

and it's not polite to tell her to come.

What does she want?

[VIU Ver] KBS2 E30 '9.9 Billion Woman' "Min Kyu's Gift" -♥ Ruo Xi ♥-

Will you be all right?

Do I look awkward?

How's this?

A bit better.

I'm sorry for making you wait.

No problem.

- You're here. - Yes.

You want to join the VIP investment club?

With my father's scandal and my husband's accident,

our foundation has taken a big blow.

There are many negative rumors too.

If we team up with a powerful partner like DK at this moment,

we'll be able to take care of everyone's concerns.

You're more than welcome to join.

But if people find out Un Am Foundation...

is in debt to your company,

it might be mistaken as preferential treatment.

We might be able to gather more investors.

They'll all be wondering...

how profitable it is for Yoon Hee Ju to be promoting investments.

Will you...

give me that opportunity?

Of course.

That's exactly the role your late husband took on.

If you continue in his footsteps,

I'm sure he will be happy.

I would hope so.

Sir.

You should refuse Hee Ju's offer.

Should I?

She suddenly changed her tune. There will be a motive.

A motive?

What would it be?

Un Am Foundation is the best lure to attract other investors with.

Yes, but Hee Ju's...

If you're that anxious,

keep watch.

You must know your friend.

It's the same trick...

as last time.

Investment fraud?

He gathers influential companies...

to create a tasting platter.

From hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars.

That's what people get to taste.

Once word gets out, an endless line of people want...

to invest in the 2nd and 3rd round.

They bring their money and money they borrowed themselves.

Do you think you can stop it if you become an investor?

Why must I help people blinded by greed?

I'm joining to find Leon's weakness.

(Chairwoman Yoon Hee Ju)

Even if you fail, there's another way.

Another way?

How is it going?

You didn't solve it yet?

Mr. Kang. You'll work him to his death.

I'm okay.

I tried everything and nothing worked.

Well done. You can rest now.

Did you hear that? Go and get some rest.

Look at your dark circles.

I found out one thing though.

For this level of security, you don't memorize the password.

It's a complicated code,

so he'll have saved it in a flash drive or an IC chip.

He'll have saved it separately?

Hello?

I have a question.

Did you see anything suspicious in Leon's office?

What do you mean by that?

Something he maintains himself...

or doesn't let anyone else touch.

No.

Does that have something to do with the password to the accounts?

No. Don't bother.

Mr. Kang.

Tell Hee Ju to be careful.

Leon...

suspects her.

You too.

Be careful.

I will.

No one believes someone...

mad for money.

So?

If it hadn't been for you,

I'd have lost my mind long ago.

I couldn't sleep in peace.

You saved a dying old hag and now you talk like you're off to die.

I'm not.

I'm being a child.

My gosh.

I can see you've never done it before.

Sit up close.

Come on.

Seo Yeon.

If it's too much, let it all go.

No one will say anything.

Forget about that beastly thing,

and live your own life.

But Mr. Kang...

and Hee Ju will end up in danger.

My goodness. Seo Yeon.

Even if I make 99 million dollars,

I can't let someone like him make 990 million.

This is the only way...

I can atone for what I did.

Oh, dear.

If it's something that important,

he'll have it on him at all times.

He never trusts anyone.

You fool.

What's up?

Did I call you?

I have something to discuss.

I think we must revise the VIP investment club members' list.

You want me to exclude your friend?

That too.

An employee who makes her boss work overtime.

Very well. Let's talk.

A ring?

Are you sure it's hidden there?

I must check. Once I have that,

I can drain all of Leon's finances.

Mr. Kang. Don't rush and...

I'll call you back.

I need you to go.

Okay.

Just monitor the situation.

He doesn't know...

I'm onto him yet.

If things go wrong,

I will eliminate Leon.

The 1st round alone comes up to 120 million dollars.

That's amazing.

That amount is like priming water.

In the 2nd and 3rd round,

the sums will increase exponentially.

Let's take a break.

If it's something that important,

he'll have it on him at all times.

He never trusts anyone.

"Prepare to live and you'll die".

"Prepare to die and you'll live".

Let's see who wins.

Let's have dinner together.

- I have plans. - With your boyfriend?

No, just a friend.

See you tomorrow.

Seo Yeon.

It's bad to steal.

It's the second time already.

What?

My 9.9 million.

Did you forget that you stole that?
