Right on time.

You may get me wrong.

Jia Yibo.

You have a visitor, the royal minister Lu's son.

My foe.

He has something to tell you.

His family business?

The crown prince becomes like this, not enough?

I will go.

Brother Gu.

It's you?

Where is the crown prince?

You should feel happy to see me.

The crown prince is grounded because of your dad.

You didn't tell him?

What should I tell him?

Prince Qi will marry my sister.

It will be so late if we have the ultimatum.

Don't worry.

I will talk with the emperor now.

Wait.

Can you be of any help?

You know nothing.

I am more helpful than him.

When does his Majesty hear his words?

I need to borrow it.

Dad...

They don't let sister come out.

This is royal minister's residence.

Do you have any idea about law?

Open the door.

We are abiding by the law.

When the ultimatum comes, your daughter

will be one of the royal family members.

You are the courtier.

You can't come in without the imperial decree.

You should abide by the national rules.

Where is the ultimatum?

Hasn't arrived right?

She is still my daughter.

Open the door.

Dad.

Dad.

Xi'er, are you ok?

Dad.

What should I do?

Did brother go?

He...

Did he know?

Jia Yibo.

His Majesty is discussing with the courtiers.

Jia Yibo.

Jia...

Who allowed you to come in without consent?

Your Majesty.

No need.

What happened?

Uncle.

Uncle, you ordered Lu Ying's daughter to marry Prince Qi, right?

None of your business.

Before the ultimatum is issued,

I plead your Majesty could revoke the decree.

Lu Ying told this to the crown prince?

He was staying at home and saw no one.

Then why?

Royal minister Lu is loyal.

He did this because he had no choice.

I think we can't ignore him so.

Marriage is a good thing.

Why do you say I ignore him?

Uncle.

I am here to plead you.

The crown prince doesn't know this.

If he knows...

If he knows...

He saw his daughter?

No.

Or any other agreement?

How can he...

It's the best.

Even if the girl doesn't marry prince Qi, he won't marry her.

Why?

You don't reflect yourself?

Dad.

Why?

Why?

I know what I should do.

I think you are here because of her right?

Of course it's not for her.

Yes.

I am here bcause of her.

My teacher Lu Shiyu.

He made the memorial to the throne for crown prince's marriage.

Lu Ying's daughter is very virtuous.

She can be the crown prince's wife.

Your Majesty.

I have rejected it yesterday.

Your Majesty.

Even if I can't marry her, please don't allow her to marry prince Qi.

Ridiculous.

Give me a good reason.

Without a reason, how can I revoke my decree?

Dad, you want to give all I want to brother?

You want her?

Yes, I want her.

This can't be a good reason?

So you really see each other in private.

Yes.

Also no.

I don't know what you are talking about.

Also I don't want to know.

Men should die with dignity.

No matter what, you should have your dignity.

Come...

Stand up.

What did his daughter did?

His Majesty is so resolute.

So it's useless.

He won't give his consent.

Fengen.

Help me find someone.

Congratulations, princess.

It must be the imperial decree.

Dad.

Who says princess?

Hit him.

Princess.

Why are you here, princess?

Why am I here?

Wait.

What's your name?

Dad.

I can't see her.

I am here to see the one who will share my husband with me.

Princess.

Does the prince know you are here?

So what?

Good for nothing.

Go.

Your Royal Highness.

Lu Ying.

You want to climb up with your daughter?

You want to separate me from my husband.

You are so shameless.

No wonder people say the world is degrading.

Please mind your language.

Royal minister.

You can tell this to the emperor.

Where is your daughter?

Call her out.

Since she is going to marry my husband, she needs to see me.

Mind your behavior.

You dare to stop me?

Princess.

Why are you here?

Jia Yibo, only you are good to me.

They all take me as the stupid girl.

His daughter will marry my husband without telling me.

What should I do?

Yes...

You are wronged.

But is there any help for your being here?

After the ministry of rites sends the imperial decree, it will be so late.

Ministry of rites.

Come with me.

Jia Yibo.

Princess can do anything with her bad temper.

You are going to...

I almost forgot it.

What are you waiting for?

You should tell your master.

You will be in an uproar if she makes the trouble.

Go.

The crown prince will come soon.

Wait a moment.

Last time, he was preparing to leave the capital.

But now he is going to get married.

When did royal minister Lu collude with chancellor?

Minister He.

So the crown prince's situation...

Assistant minister Zhang.

Why are you here?

You need to stamp the imperial decree of prince Qi's marriage.

That's right.

You draw up the decree.

I just put the stamp on it.

As the saying goes, speak and act cautiously

and you will have a happy family.

Yes.

We should do as instructed.

You are right.

Where is He Daoran?

Please, no, princess.

He Daoran.

No, princess.

He Daoran, my dad never shortchanged you.

How can you do the dirty things behind his back?

Princess.

Why do you say so?

I just do as instructed.

Instructed right?

Great...

It's...

Instructed.

Princess.

Calm down.

This is just the paper.

We should make a new one.

It's useless to tear it apart as long as the emperor doesn't change the mind.

You should go back...

Princess.

You can't touch it.

It's the national stamp.

I will be punished if it's broken.

You can do this filthy thing with the national stamp?

A'zhuo.

Out of my way.

Prince.

I am sorry.

I don't dare...

Say sorry to him.

Why don't you say sorry to me?

I thought you would never see me again.

We can talk about it at home.

Xiao Dingtang, you are a bad man.

You forgot you married me with a sincere pledge?

I have your pledge paper.

I love you unconditionally and recklessly.

Can you see it?

If you divorce me, I won't mind your concubines.

Great, now we are in the ministry of rites.

And He Daoran is the witness.

Come.

Write it.

Now.

You don't write it right?

I will.

What's wrong with you?

Take princess back.

Go back.

I won't go back to ask for insult.

Where are you going, princess?

I need to see my dad.

Without my dad, how can he stay in the capital till today?

Nonsense.

And it's no use for you to see your dad.

This is his decision.

The women are really so formidable.

We should get out of here.

Yes.

Minister He.

The decree.

Never mind it.

I think prince won't have his concubine.

We should wait for the imperial decree.

Yes...

I will tell you all.

Take her back.

Princess.

Princess, go back.

Princess...

Princess, no.

Let go.

Princess...

Prince.

You are well prepared.

Princess, no...

Princess...

Princess...

Come down.

Stop it, get down.

Go to tell my dad.

He needs to collect my corpse.

Just marry Lu's daughter.

I won't share my husband with others.

Get down.

Help me.

I won't change your mind.

I need to talk to the emperor.

Are you crazy?

How dare you!

My reputation is more important than my life.

I can lose my life and reputation for you.

I have nothing to be afraid of.

I didn't teach my daughter well.

Forget it.

We can't change the fact.

Forget it.

I have told you, we should keep a secret from her.

Calm down, princess.

You think I don't want to keep a secret from her?

The money for An Pingbo is wasted.

In the end, the one who can reap the harvest is...

You need to revoke? I won't return your family's money.

Your Majesty.

I have so many difficulties that I can't utter.

You still have the mood to make a joke.

I saw this coming.

Why bother?

My daughter is law is so furious.

You don't mind it?

If you don't like her,

I will give an order to divorce her.

Your Majesty.

It's your family's tea, you can drink it back.

Thank you, your Majesty.

Add some vinegar.

It will be better.

Come on.

Who are you?

You are here to bully my sister?

Wenjin.

How do you know my name?

Your sister told me.

Is she all right?

No.

Wenjin.

Behave.

Sorry.

I hope your Royal Highness won't mind.

Your Royal Highness?

It's ok.

Your sister...

Your sister is frightened.

I think...

My sister wants to thank you for your care.

But she left.

Left?

Where did she go?

I don't know, it's my dad's decision.

Your Royal Highness.

Your Royal Highness, since you are here, please have a talk inside

I have caculated, soon we will have the horses.

We should keep an eye on the court and the war at the same time.

Where is the crown prince?

He went out.

Went to royal minister's residence.

Ridiculous.

Tomorrow we will go to the detached palace.

Call him back.

Your Majesty,

I haven't seen the crown prince be like this.

Chongkui.

You are not so talkative.

I am sorry.

It's ok that Lu Ying is the royal minister.

But for the crown prince to marry his daughter.

You don't know what's the relationship between him and Ming'an?

Lu.

Have a seat.

Thank you, your Highness.

I am sorry for what happened today.

Never mind.

You sent your daughter because of prince Qi and chancellor?

His Majesty doesn't allow this right?

I will find out a way.

I think the same way.

I disagree.

You are worried that I will fail your daughter?

I know myself well.

I can't take a good care of my mom.

And I don't know why I can't win dad's favor.

The princess' title is so superficial.

She will take the risk if she marries me.

For this retroaction, it's our fault.

I know.

I am not qualified to ask you for something.

I am the emperor, you are the minister.

My request will become the demand.

In your opinion, my sincerity is the hypocritical language.

You may overthink.

It's not for me to hear this.

But I still want to plead you.

What I want is not princess,

but my soulmate.

I promise you, I will try my best to protect her.

Still protect people even having no enough effort.

Sir.

Trust without any reason.

You have no one you want to protect even if you have no enough power?

No, really.

I have.

Your Royal Highness.

Your Royal Highness.

Why are you here?

We are going to the detached palace tomorrow.

Tonight you need to go back and get prepared.

His Majesty demands you to go back to the palace.

You are the emperor-to-be.

You should understand,

My daughter can't be the first one you want to protect.

I never doubt your sincerity.

I want to thank you for your love on my daughter's behalf.

But I am sorry.

My daughter will get married with my old friend's son.

This time, she left for the marriage.

Who is he?

Can you tell me?

If you order me in the name of the emperor, I can tell you.

But if you see my as her father,

I want to keep the secret.

Your Royal Highness, the gate is going to be closed.

We shold go back now.

This is the imperial decree.

My daughter is young and innocent.

She has no advantage to be proud of.

I hope you should care about the state affair.

And take care of yourself.

You should forget this.

I have something to say.

It's maybe improper.

But before I leave, I still want to say

Your daughter is like the mountains and rivers.

I may not see them.

But I can imagine how beautiful it is.

Royal minister, you may not know how I envy the one who can marry her.

Your...

It's expectation, not the memory.

Please wait for me.

Your...

Wang.

Why are you here?

Tomorrow is the archery.

I am here to give crown prince the clothes.

Crown prince is in the palace.

So what should we do?

Give it to me.

I will go with him.

Thank you.

The crown prince forgets the browband everywhere.

So I prepared many.

Only one day.

It's enough.

Put it back.

Yes.

Go.

Wenjin.

Go to see sister ok?

Yes.

A'xi.

Sister.

A'xi.

All set?

Sister.

I want to go with you.

A'xi.

We are coming in.

Wenjin, open it.

Ok.

Where is A'xi?

They are coming.

The emperor.

Which one is the crown prince?

We will miss someone even if he is right in front of us.

It's expectation or the memory.

It depends on whether you will go with me.

Xi'er.

Do you love the crown prince?

I like the crown prince too.

The ne’er-do-wells are rotten within even if they are young.

But he is different.

He is clean and young, this is the hope of our dynasty.

But the court is dirtier than you think.

The maintenance of incorruption is more than you could imagine.

If you marry the crown prince,

all my efforts will be stamped with nepotism.

For the crown prince, they will slander me.

For me, they will slander the crown prince.

Now it's me.

In the future, it will be your brother.

If you marry the crown prince,

all your brother's efforts will be the handle for them.

Not only your brother.

All the young and clean men can safeguard their places.

This is the hope of our country.

It's our duty to clear the obstacles for the people to come.

I know she went to Changzhou.

Changzhou.

I know this just now.

Prefectural governor Li is royal minister Lu's old friend

and folk of the same age.

His wife is miss Lu's nominal mom.

How far away is the Chunming gate from here?

We still need half a day.

We need to arrive at the detached palace before the emperor.

Hurry.

Go.

Prefectural governor Li is the emperor's hand.

I tell you this because I want you to know

The relationship between prefectural governor Li and royal minister Lu.

And the emperor won't allow this marriage.

So you don't need to regret it.

No regret.

I still have hope.

Xi'er.

In the future, you will know

Finding the soulmate is the best.

Forgeting him is the norm.

Your Majesty.

Your Royal Highness.

Where is general Lv?

Why I can't see him?

I told him to wait in the barrack.

It's early now.

I won't go to the detached palace now.

I want to go to the barrack now.

Go.

General.

Are you ready?

Don't rush me.

Am I gaining some weight?

The emperor is coming.

Really?

Tell the chef to cook the rabbit.

Yes.

The emperor is here.

Your Majesty.

Your Majesty.

I am sorry for I can't be on my knees with my heavy armour.

I can understand.

I won't blame you.

As I know, you have the new weapons.

I hope I won't disturb you.

Won't, your Majesty, please.
