- All right, so we're gonna go in.
- Yeah, I'm rollin'.
Sweet.
- So we're gonna go in,
meet these guys.
They're, they tend to be.
- Open. - They're nice,
but let's just, like, catch them fast
because they tend to be really busy, all right?
Okay, here we go. - I love that video
on the home page. - Hello.
- Hey! - Hey, guys,
I wanna introduce you to my,
my intern mark.
Mark, this is Chris over there.
This is Tom.
- Oh hi, Tom, Mark. - Nice to meet you.
Intern, that means we're not payin' ya.
Right? - No, he's in college.
- Hi there.
- Yeah, what's your-- - Mark.
- Mark. - We're doin' this.
We're startin' this now?
- We're gonna do it. - Oh God.
- Got the camera, showed up early,
and so I figured we should just--
- Start in your office,
kinda like with the two of you.
Right where the company kinda like, you know,
was born, right? - Yeah!
- Yeah, so-- - What if we have
to go to the bathroom?
Is he gonna come in with us?
- He's gonna follow you into the bathroom.
And wherever else you want.
I just wanna fix this collar before we start
'cause I feel like this is the fashion stuff
we've been talking about. - This is gonna make
the difference, I see. - Yes, we have to make you
look cool.
Okay.
All right, buddy.
Okay, just, like, talk about Gigaler.
- Sure. - And just, like,
what's the pitch of--
Here it is, this is for the investors.
There are tons of media sites out there.
Okay, what makes Gigaler different?
There are sites like YouTube
where you'll watch a video
on, on one thing,
how to, how to set up a video camera.
You only need that video once.
The next time you go to YouTube,
it's got five more videos on how to set up
a, a camera.
You don't need that.
Here's what we're doing with Gigaler.
We're setting up an algorithm,
a, a piece of software,
that'll know what you wanna see
based on what you've seen before,
based on your buying habits.
We're tracking everything.
Based on your votes on videos,
your reviews on videos.
So when you go the Gigaler.com homepage,
the media, the news, the video content
is going to be exactly what you want.
Gigaler.com, the more you know Gigaler,
the more Gigaler knows you.
- Here we go.
You're here.
Uh, why don't you tell us about
how you guys met.
Uh, we met at a place
called DMV Easy. - Easy.
- That's right, baby.
It was, uh, you know, it was supposed to make the DMV,
it was supposed to streamline the DMV process.
And what it did is,
I think it turned into the web equivalent
of standing in line at the DMV.
- Well, it was just a website that people dreaded
going to and couldn't wait to leave.
Exactly.
- And we both started hating our job at the same time.
We'd leave work together
and we'd kind of commiserate.
We were, like, you know, we should do something together.
We should, you know, for fun.
And so that's kind of where, uh, uh,
uh, Gigaler started.
Was just the two of us, um,
getting drunk together, uh,
searching the web for, for shit
that would make each other laugh.
- Get this on camera.
We should say that, you know,
we share space, uh, with another, we, another company,
and so this is not all our offices, um.
We have a lot of office space here,
but we do share it with another company,
just so you know. - Yeah.
We're gonna take it over at some point though.
- Yeah, we will. - We'll take it over.
- We'll have the whole building, yeah.
- Go, five.
Show this, this is cool.
- Yep. - And here it is.
Like, what, what's one word
that you would use to describe Tom?
- Fierce.
- Yes, that's like a gay word.
Yeah, in the gay community,
we all, you're so fierce. (snaps fingers)
- Well you know, we, we've been hanging out,
so I've been learning. - I know,
you've been influenced. - Uh, I,
yeah, no, he is,
he is, you know, he is the guy
that gets things done.
I mean, God, look where we,
look where we wound up.
I, I don't know how much you wanna share,
but I think you should try to share as much as you can
so that, like, we can, you know,
edit out what you don't feel comfortable
sharing.
So, um, you moved to Cleveland
because of the divorce. - Yeah.
Well I moved back to Cleveland.
I'm originally from here.
Uh, went out, uh, to the west coast,
got married, and, yes, I did come back
due to the divorce,
but, you know, it's kind of a double thing.
I, I was gonna stay in Silicon Valley,
working at DMV Easy with Chris.
Uh, but then we started running ads,
and we started making money,
and, you know, then, then things became real.
Do you wanna talk about your kids?
- No, no, no, not right now.
I mean, you know, I have two fantastic kids,
but I don't think that's, uh, you know,
that's part of something that we should put on film.
Yeah, so what,
what do you think is like your,
your philosophy on life?
- "Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority,
"it is time to pause and reflect."
Mark Twain.
So, yeah, um,
I just don't, uh,
I just don't ever wanna be in the majority.
Um,
I think that I have something to offer,
and when I see too many people
surrounding me,
I know that it's a sign that I should, uh,
put my talents elsewhere
because there's something new that needs
to be developed that people aren't looking at yet.
- Life is not a dress rehearsal.
That's something that I've always lived by.
You know, I have a thing on my wall,
on my office wall,
um, from John D. Rockefeller.
But he says, um,
"I was really taught to work as well as play.
"My life has been one long, happy holiday,
"full of work and full of play."
Here's the important line.
"I lost the worry on the way.
"And God was good to me every day."
- And this is our fun area.
This is, you know, other accouterments,
Golden Tee, pool table, and, of course,
foosball.
- This is Chris' throne. - Champ.
I prefer red personally.
But, uh, you know, that's just how I like to do it.
- If you take a break from your day
and you do something like this,
you are more productive at the end of the day
than working straight through.
So, like a half-hour, we always say
that doing something lighthearted like this,
and that's why we're successful.
That was the, that was the exciting part
I think, you know?
This is definitely
not the DMV. - I don't know who they are,
but they're, you know, we share space with them, so.
Yeah that was real cool.
So, like, what's your like day-to-day,
like what do u do?
- Day-to-day, uh, one of the main things I do
is I sell the ad space.
Now when we started Gigaler,
we had banner ads, okay?
We had banner ads that we click.
Now it's more about pre-rolls.
So I'm selling those.
I'm getting clients to buy those,
which is keeping the lights on.
But I'm also the idea man.
- I identify the needs of our customers.
I create a product that fulfills those needs.
And I do it with humility and confidence.
And that is what people, uh, uh,
expect me to do day-to-day at this job.
And I think I do it pretty well.
I think, uh, uh, our success
speaks for itself.
Yeah, it's great. - Why, why do you guys
live together?
- Well, Tom's been over for now six,
six months? - Yeah.
It's, if it's not exactly six months,
it's, it's close, yeah.
When was that? - Yeah.
Uh, August, yeah. - Yeah.
- Yeah. - Wow, yeah.
Do you guys honestly live well together?
Or is that something you just say for the camera?
- No. - No.
We gotta show, let's show the screening room.
- This is my favorite. - Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- This is my room. - Yeah, definitely.
This is where the magic happens.
This is where we see different videos.
We don't just watch the videos on a laptop.
We, we project them.
They all go through here. - Yeah, we try to make 'em--
We watch them and we review them
and, uh, we see 'em on the screen.
Right off my system.
Let's see if, uh, people are in the offices.
Here's Katy. - Hi, Katy.
- Hi!
- He's good.
Katy just got married, she's--
- I have an update on the banner ads by the way.
We, we talked, yeah. - Okay.
- This is Andrea. - Andrea.
Andrea curates videos
for us. - Hi, Andrea.
- She finds videos. - Andrea curates videos.
But she also is our fashionista of the office.
- She curates videos, meaning she finds the videos online
that we're gonna put, you know,
that we put on the site. - Bye!
- We gotta get a shot of Hank, right here.
Hank's our account.
This guy, this guy.
- Gentlemen. - Yeah, he's not
the happiest guy in the world.
This is important to get on camera.
This is, this is all Griffin's design.
You can see Griffin all over this right here.
This is his work. - You know,
it was like patriotic. - Yeah.
No, it's very patriotic. - I put, like, stars.
We're missing the stripes but you get the point.
- No, it's good, it's good. - Marketing,
this is how we make money.
Tell us about yourself.
- Just tell, tell you about myself?
- Yeah, you're not gonna hold the camera on me
the whole time, are you?
Well that's the only way I'll, you know,
agree to do this.
Come on, just put it a little lower.
We wanna see your face. - Okay, okay, okay.
I'm gonna do somethg.
I'm gonna take this camera from you.
We wanna see you, man.
What do you do for the company?
Tell us. - My, I think my day-to-day
is, you know, like I'm in charge of what I,
you know, frame as REM,
which is not rapid eye movement,
but it's, you know, research,
and, um, engagement,
and money.
So, like, we have to, I have to, like,
research all of the content that goes on the website,
and I have to make sure that people
are actually engaging with the content.
And then the clicks equal cash.
This is the nitty gritty.
- This is the not-fun floor.
- Yeah. - It's not as fun.
I don't spend as much time up here.
This is where programming happens.
- Yeah, there's more programming.
Less, less-- - Sales.
- Yeah, yeah.
You know, programming is a huge component
of Gigaler now because we're moving
into that software algorithm,
and, uh, it's exciting. - My favorite place.
- Yeah. - My favorite place.
- Oh, he's gettin' a call. - The kitchen!
- Um, I should take this,
so can you guys just hold-- - Okay, sure.
We're good to let him go? - Chris, we'll see you later.
- And I think, uh, we need,
we need to introduce you to an employee
that I, I believe is,
is quintessential to the company
and, uh, is, is truly, you know,
one of the most important key players,
and that is Griffin.
- Welcome to my life. - This is his.
So this is my desk.
This is my office.
This is my vision board.
This is what I'm doing.
I like to read. - Yeah.
You know, a bunch of, like, you know, magazines.
That's my dog. - Yeah.
- He's so bad.
You know, and then I.
Did somebody put chocolate milk on my desk?
It was not--
Everybody in this company knows
that I hate chocolate milk,
and so they like to just leave
their disgusting milk cartons on my desk.
- I had no idea, no idea. - I hate milk.
There was a, an article that was published about Gigaler,
talking about its, its infringement
on people's right to privacy.
No!
You know, I mean, nothing intentional.
At the end of the day,
remember that this was started by Chris and I,
um, to have fun.
- I mean, you're getting to know a website
the more you visit it.
Why shouldn't a website get to know you
at the same time?
It's kind of my philosophy.
Why is it a one-way street, you know?
If we're investing so much time,
uh, uh, uh, uh, uh,
into the Internet and into these websites,
then why shouldn't they be investing in us?
- We're tracking them to make it a better site,
and that's what they, you know,
they don't have to go to the site
if they don't want to,
but if they go to the site,
they, they've kinda understood that agreement,
that we're gonna follow you,
and we're gonna know what you wanna see.
- You choose to come to our website.
We're not finding you.
We wanna help you,
we wanna make your experience better.
We wanna, we wanna give you
a, a, an individual relationship
to our homepage. - It's the reason
these lights are on.
The reason you have a job
and I'm paying your salary
is because of clicks and eyeballs.
Clicks, meaning people clicking on things.
Eyeballs, meaning the hits that we're getting on the site.
Clicks and eyeballs are, at the end of the day,
all that matter. - You know, so many people
call it traffic.
I, I, I prefer patrons.
You know, the patrons of our website,
each one has an individual homepage
that greets them based on their,
uh, uh, uh, uh, user history
and their cookies,
and, uh, and, uh, and, and, uh,
their, their web, um, um,
their web use.
- So let's, uh, take a look at, uh,
uh, my right-hand man, Tom's right-hand man.
Chris' right-hand man. - Time out for one second.
I, I have to go.
You can handle this at this point.
- Yeah, yeah, yeah. - Okay, all right, so good.
- See, um, you know, the company right-hand man.
Abbi.
She will literally sit here all day
and not move.
I feel like I'm spying on her, it's getting awkward.
Abbi.
Hello!
- Um, she's shy.
She doesn't like to be on camera.
She's-- - Okay, I'm not shy.
- Sorry, she's inner, introverted.
She gave me that note last week.
Introverted, she, she doesn't like to be called shy.
Okay, wave to the camera.
Abbi's doing programming work. - Hi, guys.
- Happy birthday, Abbi.
- It's, no.
No, guys, it's not my birthday.
It's like my thing.
What's your, like, what's your job?
- Uh, okay, so my overall job
is, uh, to build the, um,
the foundation, um, meaning the software and everything.
Uh, the way that Gigaler works.
And we have this unique concept
of, um, this really streamlined,
customized, uh, content presentation for the user.
I've sort of, um,
always been interested in that,
in making technology more personal and more useful.
Um, technology should make life easier, so.
Tom is more like a tornado,
and Chris is more of a hurricane.
Um, Tom can just walk into a room
and cause just absolute mayhem,
just wreak total havoc
upon everybody's creative process,
and then we all come out the better for it.
Chris is like a quiet storm.
He's definitely, um, he takes his time.
He lets everything fully process
before he reaches decisions on it,
which is, um, a little bit more similar
to the way that I operate,
so I identified more with Chris
upon first meeting them both.
Um, I don't know, I joked once,
and they've never let me forget it,
that first I wanted to work at Gigaler
and then I wanted to work for Chris.
What do you hope is the future
of the company? - Gigaler, in three years,
uh, 30% of our users have us as homepage.
Uh, that is the ultimate goal.
We are people's first connection
when they turn on their computer,
when they go on to the Internet.
- An old friend of mine, uh, eh,
that was a motivational speaker,
did a motivational-speaking kind of tour,
uh, said why aren't there rich people, millionaires,
everywhere?
And he said 'cause people have bug buts.
And he didn't mean their rear end.
What he meant was, he meant the word but.
I wanna be a doctor, but it's a lot of, uh, hard work.
Uh, I wanna be an actor, but I'm too shy.
Um, any of the.
The bottom line is, he said
all that you have to do is change one word.
You have to change but to and.
I am an and person, I don't have any buts.
I want to make Gigaler into a billion dollar company,
but I'm afraid.
I wanna make Gigaler into a billion dollar company,
and I'm afraid, and we're gonna do it,
and watch us on the cover of Time magazine.
- So I just found an amazing video.
Someone submitted it to me,
um, about 10 minutes ago.
Uh, I wanna show Tom.
I think he's gonna love it.
It's totally why I do my job,
so if he hates it,
then I quit.
- Hello. - Hi.
- Hi, um.
I want you to see something.
Have a seat. - Okay.
- Yeah.
- Uh, I want you to decide what you think.
- Okay. - Just hit play.
Do you love that?
- That was awesome.
- Yeah, that was awesome.
Oh, man.
That's gotta go up in the banner.
- Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay,
so it's good. - We gotta get Chris.
- Let's go take it to Chris. - We gotta get Chris.
- Let's go take it to Chris. - And play it totally serious.
Be like this is a-- - He's gonna shit himself.
- Yeah, we'll be like, all right,
this is somethin' we gotta talk about.
Yeah, like you.
- All the phrases-- - Chris.
So it's, like, yeah, I'm just on the phone
with Stacy, so, um, so it's like a,
so, so I'm talking about tags
that make a larger context, uh, uh,
instead of just like, you know,
ghosts or like, uh, you know.
- Chris, it's important.
This is important, we have to take this.
- No, I know, but.
Can we not, can we not film when I'm?
No, no, no, this is serious.
You gotta check this out.
Here, sit down.
We got this video submitted,
and we do not know what to make of it, so.
- But I.
- What am I gonna-- - Shh.
- Well just check it out.
- Just pay attention. - You gotta pay
attention here.
I'm so sorry.
Did you spill coffee on yourself
I, I'm sorry.
Look, the only defense.
- Woo!
- All right, hang on, Abbi,
I'm texting Abbi that. - You bastards.
- It was worse than I thought.
- I'll pay for the dry cleaning.
All right, hang on. - Yeah.
Hey, hey, Abbi, we gotta talk about a video
that was submitted to us. - Yeah.
Could you come in and check it out?
Yeah. - Yeah.
- We all wanna kinda discuss it afterwards.
Well, here, come on, sit.
I, I would like to schedule a conference
after this to talk about this.
I mean, it's crazy to get this kinda thing submitted.
- Okay.
Uh, yeah.
Oh!
- That should be like left banner, uh, like go.
Right? - I vote homepage.
- Homepage, guys.
- Yeah.
We need homepage from you. - He's in a state of shock.
Say homepage. - It's on the homepage.
- But say it to the camera. - It's on the homepage.
- Homepage to the camera. - The camera.
- Say it right there. - Goes on the homepage.
Go for it, Abb.
Obviously, this is not gonna be the typical hour meeting.
Okay, I know everybody's phones are going off.
I just ask, just put 'em on vibrate,
just put 'em on silent for five minutes, okay?
All right, we have a huge video.
Okay, and we all know this.
And we're all, yeah, give a round of applause.
Fine, huge video, huge video.
But, but, but, but
if we don't capitalize on that video,
we're nowhere, okay?
So here's what I wanna do.
First off, don't laugh,
I just want everybody to hold hands real quick.
Come on, join hands.
Okay, just close your eyes,
and I want ya to just,
this excitement, this feeling that you have,
this happy energy,
I just want ya to hold on to it for a little bit
and just think, this is the way Gigaler.com
is going to be.
Okay, from now on, this is the way
it's always gonna be.
Just hold that in your head for just a second, okay?
Okay, Abbi, just, like,
explain what's happening right now.
- Okay, so, right now, we are dealing with
a lot more traffic than we are used to.
Have you ever seen anything like this?
- I have never, Griffin, I've never seen
anything like this, this is insane.
Obviously, we're gonna move the software forward
much quicker now because we have information.
- Everyone knows we've just been keeping the website stable.
We've been increasing the bandwidth,
and we are going to drop this, uh,
program into our site within the next week or so.
Joe is actually, I think, working right now
just to fix the bugs and, I think, glitches.
And, uh, I think that we're gonna be
all a-go, all ships forward.
And we are gonna drop some magic for you all soon.
Audiences at home, stay tuned.
Bring him in, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
- Hello. - Hello, Tom, welcome.
All-star day. - Hi.
This is awesome.
Well, I got some news, okay?
I'm not gonna say which studio,
but a major movie studio contacted me,
and said they want to potentially screen
exclusive trailers on our site.
- Yeah.
Giglar gets exclusive content?
- Yep, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I don't wanna say it in front of the camera,
but yeah.
Hoo, big day, big day.
- Drinks tonight! - Yep.
- Drinks tonight. - Yep, whisky,
whiskys on ice. - We're goin' out
to the Mud Show
for margaritas. - Surprise, surprise.
- The problem is that there's,
there's all kinds of viral sites
that are, that are poppin' up our video.
I mean, they're not getting the hits we're getting,
but they're poppin' it up,
and we need to put a stop to that.
That's, you know.
- I just got another email, holy shit.
You got another?
- Yeah.
Wait, what's going on?
- Uh, hang on, hang on. - Just run outta the room
why don't you?
- We got another video. - Chris!
- We got another video. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Get in here.
Abbi, get in here. - I'll be right back, sorry.
Yeah, sure, sure.
- We have another video from the same user.
- Quick, quick, quick, quick, quick, quick, quick!
- Okay. - Here we go.
- Okay. - Okay.
Same.
- Dude, these are fantastic.
Here, can you scrub and find that face?
Get to this whacky.
Look at that thing. - Whoa, go back, go back,
go back, go back. - Look at that face.
- Right there. - Freeze, right there.
Sorry, movin' it back and forth.
Here we go. - Go back.
Yeah, look at that.
Hey, wait, camera, get this, get this, look at that.
- Mark. - That is awesome.
He's got disgusting teeth.
Who is that, Mark?
- Is that makeup, is that makeup,
or is that a mask? - It's clearly makeup.
- You can't even see his eye.
Well you can see the right eye.
- Yeah, his eyes look pulled back, wow.
Can you track it? - Yeah, of course.
- We find out who's making these things,
this, Chris, this is the time to pay.
We need exclusivity on these.
Abbi, can you do it
in 45 minutes? - This is, this, this is,
this is the time, this is the time
that we pay. - Okay, hang on.
Get that on camera.
I never thought I'd hear those words
from him. - This is the time.
- This is the time we pay. - It's the time
we should pay. - 'Kay, come on.
We reconvene, what, in an hour?
- Iwe can't, uh, yeah, yeah, we'll,
we'll just drop some numbers
and then we'll-- - Abbi, I just sent it.
- Abbi, change of plan.
Obviously, get on the IP, thank ya very much.
You're amazing.
Thank you, Griffin. - Okay, anonymous.
- See you.
- There are two ways to submit videos to Gigaler, okay?
So there's like a, you know, lemme show ya.
You wanna submit a video,
basically you can fill out this whole form,
and, like, submit a user-submitted video
so we know who you are.
We know it is Gene Smith's video,
and she can, you know, she fills out the form,
we figure out that it's you.
Uh, and then we can track you.
And number two is that you can do
an anonymous submission
where you don't tell us your name,
and you just submit a video.
Why'd ya wanna do that, I don't know,
but people do it.
Um, but if you're anonymous,
then we are supposed to not be able to track you.
But the truth is we can track you.
I just have to call Abbi.
And Abbi can look you up.
She'll find out all your shit.
So we're gonna have
all of the information we need in about 20 minutes
if Abbi's on her game.
If she's not on her game, 25 minutes.
'Kay?
Yes, Karen, I would love to do that.
I would love to have a lunch with you.
Yeah, no, I think it, no,
I know it's been crazy .
- It's been really
easy.
They gave us pretty much everything
I needed to find 'em,
just by sending us two different files,
which are both original content,
which is amazing, so
kinda looks like these guys wanna be found
right now, to be honest.
I'm doing a little bit of data mining,
which basically just means tracking your IP addresses,
basic stuff.
And it looks like I've got
what I need.
Okay, cool.
So it's looking like our videos
are coming from
Bloomfield, New York.
Griffin, I have your address.
Huh?
- I've got your address.
Yeah.
- Abbi strikes again!
Tell me somethin'. - Okay.
- Tell me somethin' good. - So I've got an address
and a phone number for you.
Phone number appears to be a landline.
The number's been around for a while.
Hey, Mark, can you hold,
can you hold? - Yep, got it.
- Go ahead. - So we've got
address and phone number right now.
The town appears to be Bloomfield.
- You're a genius.
This why we hired you, you're so good.
Now let me see. - Bloomfield, New York.
Where we at?
- Looking like a Rochester
area. - Rochester, oh.
Cute, I have family up there.
- You know what, we should go get, uh,
Tom and Chris.
- Okay. - Mark, follow, follow,
follow, follow, follow. - All right.
Move!
- Griff, here's this.
All right, just, uh.
- Yeah, shh, shh.
Voicemail.
- Uh, yes, hi, this is, uh, Tom Brennan from Gigaler.com.
Uh, who am I speaking with?
- Uh, from, we're from Gigaler.com.
Uh, you submitted a video to us.
And, uh, actually the number was in the metadata.
Uh huh.
What is your name?
- Tara, hi.
Okay, um, Tara. - Mm hmm.
- Call 'em back later.
Uh, are you, were you the person
responsible for making the,
the videos that were submitted to us?
- Oh great, great, well, um,
the reason we're calling is we would love to see,
I mean, we love what you're doing.
We love what you're making.
We would like to see if we can set up
some type of exclusive deal
where you would only be able to air the videos
on, on Gigaler,
and any future videos would come to us directly.
Does that make sense?
- Yes.
And, um, what we're talking about
is actually paying you,
actually giving you money
so that any future videos
come to us and us only.
So you, they can't be aired anywhere else.
Do, do you get that?
- Okay, so you have a partner involved.
And who's, who is the partner?
Um, maybe we can talk at a different time.
It may not be a perfect time for you.
Um, and, can I give you my phone number,
and perhaps we can talk at a different time about this?
- Sure, sure, okay, it's 2-1-6
2-2-0-9-7-8-1.
- Okay, uh, so hopefully we can do a deal
and so some, oh, she hung up.
Well that's exactly the way I was hoping that would go.
That's exactly-- Well that went,
that went well.
- Get that on camera,
as how good a sales call, that's right, baby.
That's, should be the training sales call.
You can even say no.
You should've said that.
- I have no idea.
- Okay, okay.
Uh, hello there.
So, it's like
ten or so at night,
and, uh, Tara has just called Tom
on his cellphone,
and they've been talking for, like, five minutes,
and, uh, so I turned my phone on
so we could see what happens, okay?
Let me ask you this,
are you-- - He's like really into it.
All right, Griffin, you're welcome.
Ready.
- Okay.
I don't know what that means.
It depends on how we look at it,
but, uh.
So, you mentioned you had, uh,
somebody else last time.
What was his name again?
- Francis.
- He sounds so suave, doesn't he?
- He's like,
he's like in his, like, Macho Man mode.
- Okay, oh, all right.
So he's your business partner.
Okay.
And, uh.
- Okay.
Kind of.
Well, it's, uh, do you live,
do you live with him?
- Oh, okay.
They live together.
Um, okay. - They live together.
The plot thickens.
Will Tom prevail? - Well lemme ask you this.
I mean, what does he think about the exclusive content,
uh, you know, in, in, in doing, yeah?
- It's complicated.
Hmm.
- I understand completely.
But, you know, at the same time,
I'm glad we're talking.
And, uh, I, I will say that I love your accent.
Are you, uh,
are you from London?
Yeah, look at that, that's your ball shot.
- You're from London.
Yeah.
I was feeling this much less.
- Oh no, no, we don't have to talk about that at all.
I was, I was just bringing up your voice, that's all.
That's all I was doing,
was just bringing up your accent.
- I was just bringing up your beautiful voice.
- I have a beautiful voice.
That's very sweet.
That, that's really flattering.
She said.
Oh shit.
- Francis coming back and he can't know
that we're on the phone?
- Okay, okay.
Uh, but when can I expect another call from you?
Is there another time that's, that works,
that we could, uh, she hung up.
- No! - I just heard the
beep, beep, beep. - No, no, no!
- Oh my God.
- Dude!
Francis is coming.
I can't be on the phone with you right now, Tom.
Please call me back later.
Please, call me back, get a new number.
- Yeah, that was, that was whacky, that was whacky.
If she's the girl in the video, I'm in.
I mean, that, that girl's hot.
She's got the British accent.
Uh, that's that's-- - British accent!
Number one. - Yeah, that was awesome.
But, you know how, you know--
- She was nice to you,
she wanted to talk. - No, but she, it ain't,
it ain't, it ain't her.
It's, 'cause she said, I asked her,
are you, are you the girl in the video,
and she says, well, it depends,
which means--
- That means she's 65, 70.
She's got half her teeth. - So we've got
a cat purse happening. - And she's 350 pounds.
Yeah, that's what it means.
- So like, you're gonna have, like,
a long correspondence with here,
and you're gonna, like, go,
well maybe I'm like, I'm like flying near where you live,
maybe I should drive over
and we can say hi to your horses.
- It's gonna be this big gigantic woman.
Get this, first off, enough with the camera.
Get it off me for a second.
This, this is.
Is this real?
I mean, like what the hell?
I mean, that doesn't seem-- - You're the one
who just talked to her for like
eight minutes or so. - Yeah, I talked to her
and she said she had to go
'cause Francis was coming.
I mean, what the hell? - Yeah, man, I mean,
she's obviously, you're her dude on the side.
And she's like lookin' for something and.
- Let's keep the video on the site
and let's keep makin' hits,
and I don't care.
I, I'll date her.
Let's put it this way,
if she keeps givin' videos,
they get 30,000,000 hits, I'll date her,
I'll date her for a year. - You don't care
what she looks like. - Yeah, exactly, I don't care
what she looks like. - You don't care what
she looks like, you're gonna love her.
- Exactly, exactly. - She's gonna,
you're gonna beer bitch. - Payin' for my Aston Martin.
I'll be, yeah, I'll be happy, so, yeah.
- Well either way, man. - I'll take one for the team.
- I'm really happy for you.
I really-- - You're really happy for me.
I can't wait to be the godfather to your kids.
- Shut up!
- This morning, obviously our most popular video
right now is the,
the graveyard video, it's really well.
Great, so like here's a bunch.
"This girl is so hot."
"Wow, this video scared the crap outta me."
Wow, so we've got Tyler Daniel's information.
Thanks, Tyler, you've just become a Gigaler member.
There's like
hundreds of these comments.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, Mark.
Mark.
Abbi, come look, please.
Quickly, emergency.
Have you seen Tara Rogers?
- I just went through the comment threads.
So I was going through the comment threads.
Ella Grace.
"This looks like that Tara Rogers girl who went missing."
"No way, I agree, this is nuts.
"When was this made?
"This is def her, google it."
"Seriously, she went missing a couple years ago.
"I remember, that's freaky."
"Oh wow, this is for real."
When I google Tara Rogers, this pops up.
That is that girl.
That's the same girl.
Oh no.
She has a Facebook page.
Um.
- It looks just like her.
- Do you think it looks like her?
- I know, I know. - It does.
It does, okay.
It says she's been missing for years.
Help us find, our efforts to find Tara Rogers, 21,
of Rochester, new York?
Shit.
Tom.
- Yes. - Tom, Chris.
- I think you need
to check your inboxes.
Right now, check 'em, please.
Quickly. - All right.
- Take a close look.
Tara Rogers missing.
No way.
- Look at all the links.
Guys, there are dozens,
I mean there are dozens of news articles
about the disappearance of this girl.
She's been gone for two years.
Hold up.
And so we're saying? - Click, click, click, click.
- Yeah.
She's got a Facebook profile.
Hold on.
There's a video. - Missing from the
Rochester area.
Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on.
- Hello, hello, hello. - Shh, shh, shh,
I got a video, I got a video.
- Meet, and it's going really well.
I met him at a bar last week.
Um, so. - That sounds like her.
It's like, I'd say he's an eight.
He looked much better-- - That's the voice.
It is.
What the hell?
- So what do you-- - Hold up, hold up, hold up.
Let me get the video.
That this? - But how do you,
how do you know?
Where, like where, how did this all start?
- Okay, I was scrolling through the video comments.
Okay.
- And someone, there was like a, a thread
of like 500 deep saying this looks like Tara Rogers.
- I'm lookin' at the original screamer video.
Let's, I'm scrubbin' this-- - It's the same girl!
Tom, there's a 1-800 hotline for this girl.
No way.
- There's multiple hotlines
for this girl. - Where is the,
I had the window up with the,
see this, I'm lookin' at the video right now.
That face, yeah, it looks,
right there it looks detached.
That's VFX.
They're doin' some kind, this is a prank.
- Tom. - Tom, you said it sounded
just like her. - Tom.
- So they do the voice.
You don't think they can do the voice on the phone?
Come on! - You're the one who said
it sounded just like her.
You're the one that's been talking to her
for the past two days.
- Then let's get her on the phone right now
and we'll ask her.
- That'll solve the problem.
- I'm gonna ask her who she is.
She never said her last name once.
Well, yeah, but, but.
So you think she's gonna say
yes, I'm Tara Rogers?
- Uh, let's find out. - Think before you call her.
You should have a plan. - I don't have a plan
'cause I'm pissed off!
Shh, shh, shh.
- Yeah, hey, Tara.
Um, I had a question for ya.
Actually, I realized I never caught your last name.
What was your last name?
Is it Rogers?
- Francis is there, okay.
Now who is, is, is Francis, who is Francis again?
- All right, Tara, can I ask you?
Are you, are you pretending to be?
Are you some?
Are you aware of the missing girl
named Tara Rogers?
Tara?
Are you aware of that girl?
I'm telling you, that's her.
- I'm telling you it's her.
- I don't know what now.
- She has access to a phone.
How can she be missing for two years?
- Exactly.
Exactly, exactly.
- You think she staged it. - So this is some
type of hoax.
This is a backstory they put together
for the screamer video, man.
If it really is a missing person,
I think the police are going to be calling Gigaler
any minute.
I think we have maybe a day. - Well we don't have to tell--
- Great, great, that's press.
We'll get triple the hits.
Fantastic!
- I don't know, guys.
Other scenario, some missing girl is being
just totally exploited and manipulated,
and somewhere there's a family
that might have to suffer over this.
So can we just?
- We can spin this beautifully.
Here's what we do.
Everybody relax, we do more research.
Abbi, check out this video.
See if you can find if there's any visual effects,
or they're doing, you know, any whatever it's called.
Vertiscoping, whatever they're doing with the face.
See what you can find, okay?
Griffin, do more research.
I want a pile of papers on my desk.
And you know what, Chris?
Worst-case scenario, scenario,
we reframe this, okay?
We make it, uh, you know,
can you believe this is happening?
They're posting images of a dead girl.
- Tom, Tom. - Doing anything irrational,
doing anything, you know,
jumping into conclusions. - Impulsive, yeah.
Conclusions right now, I,
I don't want to assume anything.
- Okay. - Griffin.
Griffin, I don't wanna assume
anything, okay? - I'm just saying
I think it's irrational to wait, that's all.
You work for us, do what we ask.
Get the research, you check out the video.
Goshdang.
It could never be easy.
Are you kidding me?
Hey, Chris.
- What are you looking at me like,
what are you lookin' at me like that for?
All right, Chris, what the hell you want me to do?
Can we, actually, can we just stop filming,
please, Mark, all right?
Follow them.
Jesus, get the hell outta here for five minutes.
I will stick to this,
that we did not do anything wrong.
And we didn't.
You see what I'm saying?
It's like, what have we done, Griff?
We, we put, we got a video and we posted it.
We didn't do anything wrong, you know?
And-- - We didn't do anything
wrong up till now. - Right, that's--
- From, from, from, from, from here on forward,
what we do-- - Everything is wrong.
- What we do-- - We, we haven't done--
- No, no, no. - We haven't done anything
wrong yet. - It's not, it's not--
- Everything is wrong.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, Mark.
- I guess. - Yeah, whatever.
- Thanks. - This could all be a hoax.
- Okay.
- That's been going on for two years?
- That's an elaborate hoax
for one video.
That's all I'm saying.
It's an elaborate hoax for one video.
You think this girl stopped her Facebook page
two years ago?
When was the last post, let's find that out.
Two whole years.
That's quite an elaborate hoax,
that's all I'm sayin'.
- Hi, guys.
Um, so, you know how much I like--
- Is this the girl you were talking to?
- That's the voice. - How much money I spend--
That is the girl.
- You know what, you shouldn't show,
actually, don't show this.
I don't want you showing this, no, no.
Well, we reframe maybe, you know?
Or we put out a press release
saying exactly what happened.
I'm not saying to lie. - Yeah, okay.
- I'm saying exactly what happened.
- Okay, I'm okay with that. - We were submitted this
and we put it up and we didn't know,
you know what I mean?
And then it makes us some good
and still gets us hits.
It's Abbs.
Hi.
All right. - Hey, Abbi.
Hey, hey, hey.
- Honestly, guys, mystery solved.
- We have-- - Mark, watch out.
- We have some, uh,
some assholes.
I was scrubbing though the video,
and I realized
that this
grave that we see
right in front in this first screamer that we got
belongs to a Francis Tumuelety.
- Oh, jeez, that's--
- Francis.
When you look that up,
along with Rochester, et cetera, et cetera,
with all the information that we got from this girl.
- You land on a
Francis Tumblety.
- Who is one of the prime suspects
of Jack the Ripper murders.
So.
- No way.
- You know, it must be real, Griffin.
This must be a real girl
that's kidnapped by Jack the Ripper.
Yeah, that makes sense. - We know from finding
out information about her from her social media--
- Jesus. - What a bunch of assholes.
She was supposed to be a little promiscuous.
All of Jack the Ripper's victims
are a little promiscuous.
It just seems so,
so set up and so messed up. - Yeah!
- I still don't understand. - I would like to be clear.
We're not dealing with kidnappers anymore.
We're dealing with assholes, okay?
We're dealing with assholes
that are messing with us, okay?
And they need a little lesson, okay?
How 'bout this?
Griffin, come on, I need you back here, buddy.
Listen.
How 'bout this?
We go up there, we take this camera, okay?
We take this camera, we go up there,
and we confront them.
What are ya doin'?
We have an address.
Let's go knock on the goddamn door.
- We're not gonna go,
we're not gonna go on a tour
and, and, and break a story.
- Chris, we get that video,
we capture that video,
it's a simple knock on the door.
What did you do?
I mean, it's like investigative reporting.
And guess what?
It plays everywhere.
You know how many media stations would pick that up?
Griff?
- I think it's fucking genius.
I say we leave tomorrow. - Look at this, yes!
Yes, yes! - It's a really fun idea,
but we're not gonna like show up
like cavaliers to be?
- Think how huge it could be. - Could I have,
could I have a minute?
Let's step away for a minute.
Just one minute over here, please, please.
Come here. - You gonna put me
in a corner? - Yes, you're in the corner.
You're in time-out. - A time-out.
A time-out. - Come here.
- Time -out.
Can you not?
This goes everywhere.
Bam, Gigaler though the roof.
Okay, we're barely keepin' the lights on, man.
This gets exposed and we have to take the video down,
goodbye.
Unless we get another pot of gold in our laps.
This is a pot of gold in our laps!
- Tom, you don't have to yell at me, okay?
Was I yelling? - Yeah, yeah, yeah,
you're, you're kind of yelling,
and I don't want you to raise your voice,
okay? - Okay.
- So you were telling me that we
are going to benefit? - Yes!
Everything, everything will benefit.
This is gonna be on media outlets,
TV news outlets, everywhere, come on!
- No, this is not our job.
But this is the core team,
and if this, this hits?
The core team, this is successful, man.
I mean, like, what's the worst
The worst-case scenario, we get nothing.
They tell us to get the hell outta there.
And then we walk back with crap.
Sure, what have we lost, one day?
But what have we gained?
On the other side, what have we gained
if this goes gigantic?
- And we expose someone for setting all this up,
and-- - Yeah!
You really think this is going
to help our website? - Oh yeah.
- I don't, okay, I don't,
okay, I don't see that,
but I, I, I, I don't see that,
but I am going to, to, to, to trust
that whatever you, whatever you.
- That's all I need, just a little trust.
That's all I need.
- That whatever you think that this is goin' to be,
than I-- - Yes, I do.
We're gonna do this, we're gonna do this.
- Yep.
Yep.
What have we got?
Limo!
We're goin' on a jet plane? - No, no, make that clear!
Actually, Mark, we don't even need you.
The four of us, core team's goin' up
with the camera. - Mark.
- We're takin' a drive, we're goin' up there.
Tell me the address again. - Mark.
Do we need to look for hotels up here?
- Guys, I, I've, I've still got a cousin up there.
I don't know, we could call her,
and see if she's got-- - Do it, do it.
Savin' money, savin' money. - We could do a hotel.
We could do a hotel.
- No, no, no, no, tomorrow night, that's it.
Cool?
- Okay, tomorrow night,
we'll be there tomorrow night.
- Oh, this is great.
- We're not investigating anything.
We're bringing a camera to someone's house.
- Mm hmm, to say why have you been lying?
- Sorry.
He's drinking water.
He just spilled it all over the floor.
- It's fine, it's fine.
- I'm not upset, I just.
Okay, we will see you tomorrow night.
- Yes, yes, yes! - Oh my God!
This is happening, this is happening.
- It's getting even better. - Yep.
All right, we'll jump in my car
tomorrow morning. - Family reunion.
- We stop at the grave first.
This guy, this is the Rochester area, right?
- Yeah. - Yeah.
We stop at the grave first.
And we go up there and we do the whole thing.
This is where they set this thing up and whatever.
This ain't clicks anymore,
this ain't the Internet anymore.
We're gonna be on TV, media, radio.
- I've wanted to be a part
of something revolutionary my entire life,
and, uh, uh, uh,
and I feel like Gigaler is it.
From the beginning of the Internet,
people have been trying to monetize,
uh, uh, your, your time,
and I hope and I pray that as we move forward,
this becomes the model in which all future,
uh, uh, uh, start-up endeavors are built on.
Not on, on, on monetizing people's time,
but on providing them with something
that is truly a beneficial relationship.
Uh, and I hope that if you come to work for us,
uh, you can get on board because, uh,
uh, frankly, if you're not,
then, uh, uh, you don't belong here.
Um.
Uh, sorry, that just kinda came, came out.
But was that, is that sort of? - I think it's great.
Okay.
- All right, here we go.
Ah, ha, ha, ha.
This is morning and, uh,
we are
en route to pick up Griffin and Abbi
for Tom's, uh, adventure extraordinaire,
investigative
uh, co-op mission.
- You have to kinda follow the signs and the omens
and just, uh-- - We're going to follow
the omens, that's exactly what we're doing.
- When something falls in your lap,
you may not know what the end result is,
and I think that's, gosh, that's,
I hate to make it into a motivational speech,
but isn't that Gigaler?
- Oh my gosh. - I mean, we just follow
our, our hearts. - Don't make it a,
it's too early for a motivational speech right now.
- I'm gonna make ya all hold hands
when they get in the car.
You're kidding.
How long's the drive?
- Uh, I think it's four hours.
- Yeah. - Yep.
- They're waiting outside
or no? - Uh, he said they're
waiting for us. - Okay.
- So. - I guess we'll figure
that out when we pull up.
- In case you got-- - They are not outside,
for the record. - All right, yeah.
- I can see them. - Here we go,
we're pulling up.
I don't see them anywhere.
They should be coming out. - Hey!
- Right outta there. - I'm still beepin'.
Ready? - Beep beep beep.
There they are.
They have got the camera. - Look at him,
he's got the camera already.
Look at him, look at him, he's ready.
Good morning! - Morning, guys.
- Good morning to you. - Yes!
- Morning. - The Giglar
Investigation Team, ready to roll.
The Giglar Investigation Team?
- The GIT.
Yeah.
Can we get some coffee? - Can we please
get something to eat?
- I wouldn't mind like a little--
There's no coffee in the limo.
Abbi's already down.
The hood is on.
She hates life right now. - No, we're gonna--
Abbi, have you ever been in a car
with three men for four hours?
- No.
What am I getting myself into here?
Ready for all the smells that come with it?
- No! - Jesus.
- Would you rather, would you rather
achieve great things
and, uh, you know, be respectable
and have no one remember you,
or, like, do something that puts you off the edge,
but you're infamous.
All right, so gimme this.
All right, so, okay.
Tumblety,
Tumblety, right, like,
is infamous now because he was Jack the Ripper.
So, like, would you rather be infamous
or, uh, forgotten?
- Could I be famous for something like amazing?
Or do I have to be famous for something bad?
- But infamous means that you're famous
for some bad reason.
- Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- Yeah, yeah, always.
- Would you rather be--
Infamy or--
- Or nothin'. - Or nothin'.
- Um,
as long as, I, I don't know.
Did I accomplish everything I wanted to accomplish in life?
But if I was good and I accomplished things, um,
content. - If you accomplished
everything but just weren't remembered.
- That's fine with me. - That would be good enough
for you. - Abbi.
- Oh my God. - Griffin.
- I'm watching a video
someone submitted
of this person, um, sleeping, getting wasabi
all in her mouth.
Why would you do that to somebody?
- Thank you.
There it is.
You guys wanna see some exits?
- I'll see it. - I'll look up the exact,
you guys have the exit, right?
- Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. - I mean, you have the address
so you could guess, but, yeah,
we're gonna go to--
It's, I, I don't know if it's Sisters, but, um.
- Well he's supposed, sure.
So, Tumblety, there's a couple reasons
why he is the most likely Ripper suspect.
One, when he left, uh, London,
the murders stopped.
Uh, number two, uh, he was a very rich guy,
and when he was buried,
they found, you know, diamonds
and all this, this rich, expensive jewelry,
and they found two gold rings.
And the first victim lost
two gold rings. - Two gold rings.
- And then the third thing was,
they had a handwriting expert look at
the Jack the Ripper letters,
look at some of his letters,
and said that's him.
I mean, come on, you know what I mean?
Like that's, uh-- - Jeez.
- Yeah. - How soon can we get
to this graveyard 'cause the sun's gonna be setting soon,
and I don't wanna be here for that.
Okay, can you wait a mile?
Let's get to this graveyard
as soon as possible.
We've entered the danger zone.
Mm hmm.
Okay, this is Section 10.
Okay, so that's good, right?
Right, where are we here?
Uh, 11. - 11, okay.
So let's just keep goin' forward here.
Wait, wait, wait, wait.
- This is it.
This is it, this is it. - That's it.
- That's it right there.
Here, this one right here.
Right there, let's do it.
Okay, let's go look at a headstone.
At least it's not cold or anything.
Woo!
Let's do this.
- Here it is, take it.
Okay, here we are.
Okay, yeah, that's the one from the video.
Tumuelty.
- Yeah, that's right.
It's spelled differently, huh?
Yeah, what is it?
T, yeah.
- This is it right here.
Dr. Francis Tumuelty.
Yeah, look at this.
This must be a brother or something.
1898, 1903.
Hey, Tom, wanna take a picture?
- Jack the Ripper, yeah. - Yeah.
This is, oh my God, just no respect.
There's a dead person--
He killed six prostitutes, come on.
There's my respect.
He's lucky I don't pee on the grave.
Wait, watch out, watch out,
there's a hand comin' for your foot!
I'm going home.
- Hey, check this out.
It says if you stand in front of his grave at midnight,
and you ask three times,
are you Jack the Ripper,
nothing happens
'cause it's a dead guy.
He's been dead for over 100 years.
And that's the end of it. Ba da bum da bum
Bump Ba du bump.
Wow, man.
This is history right here.
You good to go?
Come on, Griff.
It's just so far apart out here.
You have any food?
Oh shoot, Tom, I don't think we're,
I don't think we're goin' the right way.
- We're-- - Oh, we're definitely goin'
the right way.
- Oh. - Well, no, I mean,
I think Abbi knows. - Okay.
I don't know, I just was gonna.
Just makin' sure you had the right address.
We would, uh, she'd be correct,
but we are not going to Emma's.
Where are we going?
We're going to Tara's house.
- Tom. - Tom!
You're kidding me.
- Tom, we're not gonna go--
Oh my God. - Tom.
- Okay. - Tom, Tom, we--
- You're kidding. - When we said we were gonna
do this, we, we, we, we agreed we were gonna do it,
you know--
- Calm down. - In a somewhat respectable
way, we're not gonna show up at her house.
- Okay, first off, it's not that late.
Number one,
number two-- - Pitch black outside.
- Okay, yeah, and we show up during the day,
and we roll out with a bunch of camera,
you don't think they're gonna freak out?
What are we doing now?
From the dark, we're jumping out
with a bunch of cameras.
They don't know what we got goin'.
We're just showin' up.
We'll probably catch 'em.
They're relaxing right now. - Tom, I don' think
this is a good idea. - Tom.
- Just pull around.
Let's go to Emma's. - Just pull around
and go back to the road,
and we can go to, to Abbi's.
- All right, time out, time out.
- Tom, don't-- - Lemme try to call her
real quick, okay?
- Jesus. - You're gonna call Tara
from inside of this car?
Hey, Tara, we're in your driveway.
We're just right outside of your house.
- Actually, I'm not calling anybody.
- No signal.
- Okay, well all the more reason we drive somewhere
where there's signal and we give her a call,
and we, we see-- - I gotta tell ya, Chris,
we just pulled into this driveway
with lights flashin'.
I mean, God, obviously they know somebody's here.
- Okay, they don't know who is here, Tom.
We pull out and we're just as good
as if we never came here in the first place.
No, man, this is good video.
This is good video. - Tom, Tom, it's,
okay, Tom, you're not,
you're not listening to me.
I don't think that this is a good idea, okay?
So I think that we go.
- Let's try it. - Tom, come on.
- Tom, could you at least
pretend to care what I think?
Un-fucking-believable.
Okay, guys, ready?
Let's do what Tom wants to do.
Let's get this over with. - No, I'm good, thanks.
You're not gonna come?
- No! - All right, well you can stay
in the car.
Are you not coming?
- Fuck.
I gotta go film.
- You submitted a video to Gigaler.com
and we'd like to talk to you about that.
Okay?
All right.
Let's do this.
Okay.
I don't hear anything.
There's a light on upstairs.
He's home.
Okay, they don't wanna answer the door, so--
What, they're sleeping at 8:30?
- Well, I don't know,
but they're not answering the door, Tom.
There's not, is there a doorbell?
- No.
Can we try a side door?
Oh my God.
What about the side door is more compelling
for them to answer than the front door?
You know what?
There's a flashlight in my trunk.
Grab that, I'll go knock on the side door, okay?
You want me to grab a flashlight?
Yeah, Chris, I can't even see.
It's in the trunk.
- Sure thing, Tom. - Time out, time out,
time out. - Anything you say, Tom.
- Shh, shh, shh, shh.
Lighten up, Chris.
Was that light on when we pulled up?
Yes.
- Yeah.
- It was on.
So they're here.
So they turned their lights off.
- Shine the light over here. - So they're giving us
the signal to go. - Yeah, shine the light
over here. - Go away.
- No, no, if they turned the lights out,
they're playing a game.
I'm gonna knock on the door. - When someone turns
their lights off, they, that's go away.
- Tom, it's too much. - Hello.
That light was on, damn it.
Can we check over here first?
Just check this out, just to, just.
Oh.
Oh my God.
I just wanna look in here real quick.
Just checkin' it out, chill out.
Here, shine the flashlight in.
You see anything?
Okay, cool garage, let's go.
- You know, I was hopin' to see
like a whole production studio in there.
Damn it.
Yeah, nothin' to see.
Yeah, tell me about it.
All right, I'm freezin' my balls off.
Let's get outta here. - Let's get outta here.
Come on, guys.
What the hell was that?
Did you guys see it?
What?
What?
Chris, stop!
Nothing, I thought I saw something.
What's going on?
Chris, come on.
- Let's see 'em try to hide from us tomorrow.
Tom.
Damn it, damn it!
Yeah, when we come back, we'll see what happens.
Tom, I think you owe us an apology.
No, I think they owe us an apology, okay?
They wanna make a hoax video,
they owe us an apology, Chris,
and that's all I wanted.
And I'm gonna get it. - Tom, are you listening
to yourself?
They owe us an apology?
Oh my God, you're fucking losing your mind
over this.
- Yeah. - We're gettin'
great video, Chris, okay?
- That's right. - A bunch of, yeah, exactly,
you drag all of us out here in the middle of nowhere.
Shit.
Everything's gotta be perfect for you.
- Yeah, Tom, this is all about me right now.
Yeah, can you,
can you grab that, thanks. - I got your bag.
Hey. - Hi!
Hi, hi, hi.
Oh it's good to see you.
- These are the guys.
- Emma, nice to meet you. - Nice to meet you.
- Hi there, Chris. - Hi, Emma.
- Hey, Emma. - Nice to meet you.
- Thank you so much for having us.
- Oh. - That's Griffin, sorry about.
- Uh, yeah. - Hi.
- We'll explain a lot. - Okay, hi.
- Hi. - Emma.
Hi, nice to see you, sorry.
I don't, I've got two hands on the camera.
- I wanna close the door
to stop you from freezing.
Tofu for you, right?
You've got it.
Abbi. - Thank you for all of this.
- Of course. - Abbi.
- No problem. - Thanks, thank you.
- This is amazing, thank you.
- You're okay with the cameras and everything, no?
- Not really.
- Well. - Why are you asking
her if she's okay with the?
I, thank you for allowing us--
- Are you saying you're forcing somebody to do something?
- I'm forcing her-- - Oh wow, God,
I thought that was a cardinal sin around here--
- That's fine. - Thank you for being honest.
- Yeah, that's good. - That's okay.
- Did you hear what he just said?
- But, um-- - I'm your boss.
I'm your boss. - You're also my friend.
- Yeah. - Okay, so, Emma,
what we're doing, gentlemen,
is we are here to try and expose a bunch
of creepy people-- - Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait!
No, no, no.
You know what?
Thank you for your hospitality.
All you need to know is what brought us here
for us has something to do with a missing girl.
Girl that went missing, Tara Rogers.
That's the end of it.
Tara Rogers, girl that went missing.
- Tara Rogers. - She disappeared.
Like two years ago. - I know her.
You never heard, wait, wait, you know her?
- I mean, we weren't friends,
but I met her once.
When she went missing,
all the old ladies over there,
there was the rumor that,
you know, she was sleeping around--
- Was like slutty.
- I guess. - I mean, I'm sorry,
I'm not sayin' that.
That's not a nice word. - Let her finish, go ahead.
Continue, please. - Slutty.
- Basically that. - You remember
what she looked like, right? - Mm hmm.
Would you pull up the video?
We're gonna show you a video real quick.
I just want you to tell me if this is her
in the video. - All right, sure.
All right, check it out.
- Here.
See the girl walkin' on his grave?
- I don't think so, no.
No, it doesn't look like her. - You don't think so.
- She met her once, Tom.
Is that the authority?
Now it's your fault, I understand.
- Cheers, this is amazing.
- Thanks for everything.
You have a beautiful house.
Do this.
You don't, you can't cross.
- You cannot cross. - You cannot cross.
You have to look into each other eyes,
or no sex for seven years.
- Jeez, and I'm checkin' my phone.
- What a consequence.
- Quick, everyone look.
- That escalated quickly.
I need this, I need this, I need this.
Yeah, I forgot to mention that before.
Okay, ready?
- And then, no, Tom!
- Tom, you can't look
at your phone. - Two seconds, two seconds.
Oh, sorry. - Seven years without sex.
- Yeah. - Yeah.
- Wouldn't be the first time.
And then you drink it.
You're supposed to slam it, but.
- Ah, yeah.
- Wow!
Hello, hello!
Hello!
She's the most fun person here,
I've just discovered. - I quit.
- All right, I'd like to say something.
I'd like to say something.
Thank you for having us in your home
and being so hospitable.
And I'd also like to say, for real,
since you know, just to make sure
there's no elephants in the room,
I'm sorry that we went at night.
I should've told you that we were gonna do that.
I'm sorry, Chris. - I accept your apology.
Thank you.
Great, the business continues!
Nice!
When are we gonna talk about my life, Tom?
This is why we didn't let him have, like,
the whole video will just be of a, of a tower.
- I think it's gonna fall. - He's got the kind of
Darth Vadar thing goin'. - He's providing wind effects.
- Hey, um-- - Wait, hang on, hang on.
- You called it quits. - Shh, shh, shh.
One second.
- It's okay, no, I'm not gonna call you out or anything,
but I just wanna make sure that I know
what we're doing.
He, he says he's not gonna come tomorrow,
and do the videos, okay?
Just, just me and you maybe?
I prefer not to.
- Yeah.
- Griff, I just don't wanna,
I just don't, I don't wanna.
- I'm fine with it.
- Cheers. - Cheers.
- You have to slam it now. - Okay.
Oh jeez, here we go.
I think I'm already a little bit tipsy.
I can't imagine why.
I can't imagine why.
- Love it. - Cheers.
So now we have to toast again.
- And someone else
has to slam it.
Oh, right on me.
Thanks.
No, he'll get over it.
We'll get good footage.
- Look, because at the end of the day,
it's all about the success of Gigaler,
because I think if and when the company blows up,
you, too, could get a house like this one right here.
Right there. - Oh.
- Yep, yep.
That could be yours, all of it.
All to my own, my own self?
- Yep.
Well, maybe a little bit.
I'm not sharing with anybody.
- Look at this.
- Holy cow. - Oh my God.
- All those birds. - Lemme roll the window down.
Jeez.
Listen to 'em, listen to 'em.
We're going to announce who we are, yes?
Yes, Griffin, I'm going to do the same thing
that I did last night. - All right,
I just wanted to make sure. - I was never gonna be a jerk
to these people.
It's just confronting them. - Anyway, I guess I wanna make
sure that we just-- - In fact, I was ready
last night, Ion't even know if I'm ready right now.
Okay, do you need to practice with me first?
This one's for Chris. - Yeah.
Come on.
Talk to you, I would like to talk to you
about a video that was submitted to the website.
I wanna talk to you about it.
I'd like to talk to you about a video
.
I'd like to talk to you about .
Do you hear anything?
- No. - Here we go again.
I know.
- Let's try the side door.
Ah.
No, no, no, no, no, one second.
- For God's sake, Tom. - Chill out.
Hello?
All right, no one's here, let's go.
- Now or never.
Tom, are you kidding me?
Tom.
Hello?
Don't do this, don't do this.
Let's not do this.
Tom.
Look at this, look at this.
- Come here.
Can you see in there?
- No. - Hold on, hold on, hold on.
Holy shit.
Oh God.
- No, no, come on.
This is stupid. - Griff,
there's nobody here.
How do you know?
- There, there's no furniture,
there's no nothing!
There's no pictures on the walls.
Oh! - There was a light on
last night, Tom. - Look at this, look at this.
Someone's here.
- Look.
A dead rat.
Yeah, I'm sure they're-- - Well that's the cue
to leave. - I'm sure they're here.
That's the cue.
Let's do the cue and leave.
That's an idea. - Oh.
Okay, check this out now.
Now we're gettin' somewhere.
Look at this, okay.
Yeah, that's creepy enough, right?
Hello?
Wait, wait, wait.
Griff, Griff, come here.
'Kay, shh.
Wait, where are you going?
- Wait, wait, wait, wait.
Wait, no, no, no, no, no, no.
No, we don't go upstairs.
No, no, no, Tom.
Tom.
I insist we stop.
Jesus God.
Oh my God.
Don't do that.
No, come here.
I don't wanna hear oh my Gods from you.
- Come up the stairs.
You gotta check this out.
My mom's gonna be so mad at you, Tom.
- Look.
Look at this.
Yeah, look familiar?
This was in the screamer video, right?
This is the bed.
This is the bed, this is it.
This is like a set or something like that.
Well why is the light on?
- Because, Griffin, it's a set.
This is where they're makin' the videos.
This is it, this is all a hoax.
This is all a hoax.
That, that's my car.
All right, I'll be right back.
- Who, whoa, whoa. - Just stay here.
Come on, two seconds, two seconds.
Now explain to me
how a car alarm goes off
when the both of us are up here.
This is what I'm talkin' about.
This is shit I don't wanna do.
I don't wanna do this shit.
Tom is like crazy.
Just don't feel like we should be here anyways.
It's just like, it's crazy.
Tom?
Tom!
Okay, I'm done, I'm completely done right now.
Griff, let's get the hell outta here.
Dude, dude, do not mess around right now.
Griff, I'm serious, man.
Oh Jesus, if you're doin' this,
I swear to God, Griffin, I swear to God.
Holy shit!
What the hell?
I mean, I just wanna know if you're seeing
a woman-- - Yeah, I am.
Uh, Chris.
Did you hear from Tom yet?
- No.
Uh, still no answer for the past five hours.
Uh, about, so. - Okay, Chris, listen,
I know, I know you might be frustrated
with Tom or, or whatever, but, um,
I wanna show you something on the footage
that Griffin dumped last night.
Um, I don't,
I'm not trying to freak you out,
and I, I promise I'm not being paranoid.
I just want you to come look at something, okay?
- Yeah, of course, Emma,
please, come look.
- Yeah.
I'm gonna go back for you guys,
but
it, it's, it's someone.
Someone was with us last night.
- Oh. - Oh jeez.
- Look, yeah, I'll go back.
It's tricky, it's so fast.
Right.
- Oh my God. - Jesus.
Look how pronounced that is.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, wait.
Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom, Tom.
- Yeah.
"Sorry, can't talk.
"Can you meet us at Tara's?"
That was Tom?
- "House right now."
Dude, are you okay?
He's.
"Yes, we are.
"With Tara and Francis.
"Sorry, can't talk, can you meet us at Tara's house?"
"Dude, are you okay?"
"Yes, we are with Tara and Francis."
Um.
Emma, would you mind driving us there?
- No, it's no problem.
- We can
get him and Griffin
and we can leave you be.
Yeah, at least they're okay.
This is like no man's land out here.
- Yeah. - Yep.
Emma, is there like a light you can turn on?
Abbi? - Oh, sure.
- Oh, okay. - Don't worry about it, Emma.
You drive. - Yeah, you can drive.
Yeah, thank you, oh, there we go.
Now we can see everyone, mm hmm.
- Oh good. - That's great.
Maybe I'll turn it back off.
Nah, it's good, it's good.
We close, Abb? - Yeah, it's just about
a quarter mile away.
Is it gonna be on the right or on the left.
It's gonna be on the right.
Thank you again, Emma,
for driving us out. - No problem.
If you guys wanna stay one more night.
No, we don't.
We don't wanna do that to ya.
I think you've had enough of that.
Oh.
Oh.
Tom says to come in the front door.
"Be quiet, don't worry."
Oh shit, guys.
I don't know.
He's being cryptic, Tom.
But he says this is the one.
- I don't know.
- I don't know.
This is it up here on the right.
- Oh, oh, okay. - Uh, yes.
- This is Tom's car. - Yes, yes, yes, yes.
- It's the white one.
It is.
Waiting for the fender.
There it is.
- Okay. - Emma, Abbi,
let's do this.
Can I film, though,
so you guys can?
Yeah, please, I don't wanna stand
in front of the camera.
- So here, you just hold it. - Okay.
- This is the zoom in. - Yeah.
- Zoom in and zoom out. - Okay.
And it'll focus pretty much on its own.
- Great. - So let's
do this.
Watch out, the steps are a little slippery.
He said it's unlocked.
Okay, ready?
- Yeah. - Yeah.
'Kay.
Tom?
Tom.
What?
Oh my God.
Tara?
Tara?
Tara.
Oh, what the fuck?
What the fuck?
Griffin!
Help me!
Someone help me!
