The scene that shocked me
was after he left for the bathroom.

I got nervous as to what he meant
by "empty from the bottom."

When he proclaimed that it wasn't vomit,
I thought,

"What else could he need to release?"

But the scariest thing
I saw in that scene was this.

As Boss headed for the bathroom,

Yume soberly settled the bill.

That was hellish.

Only a person who can't wait to leave
would make that move.

We use the same tactic

when we're at industry dinners
with comedians we don't respect.

Or if I don't feel like footing
the entire bill,

I like to send a message by ordering
a round of green tea for everyone

while that person is in the bathroom.

I use this tactic so often that I call it
the "Sen no Rikyu Cheat Code."

Use it when you need to ghost
at a lame party.

I love the other thing that happened
during this bathroom break.

What did you imagine
Boss was doing in there?

He was using mouthwash.

He was preparing for a long battle.

He's ready to go in for a kiss
while she's ready to leave.

And then...

This next part is my favorite.
I wrote it down right here as well.

He announced that he was "revived"
and was met with zero enthusiasm.

This is where things got dicey.

At the rental property,
they were crazy drunk.

It was a showdown
between Boss's virility and Yume's liver.

They argued over whether
to sleep in the same bed or not.

It was an exchange of blows,
and in the end,

Yume's liver won the duel.

Boss got too sleepy to keep up the fight,

so he went to his own bed
and slowly drifted off into sleep.

The next scene in this storyline
that I was hoping for

is that he wakes up alone
and naked in the woods.

He grabs his wallet
only to find it overflowing with leaves.

He's like, "Huh? How did this happen?

Was it all a dream?"
That would've been perfect.

But instead, he woke up in bed.
I have to give props to Yume

for what she said in the morning.

"Did anything happen?"
What a master manipulator.

She doesn't remember the night before
and how Boss looked after her.

With one sentence,
she evaded expressing any gratitude.

Also, by saying this,
she gave him the impression

that she would've been okay if something
more had happened between them.

This sort of manipulation
leads him to believe

that if they had one more night alone,
they could possibly seal the deal.

This might be a bit too ubiquitous,

but I've decided to name this move
"The Dream."
