But the defense says

But let's be very clear.
We are not debating

whether a terminally ill
patient in a coma

has life support turned off.

We are debating where
society draws the line.

Are you prepared for the day
when a terminally ill
human being

is encouraged
to end her life

because that life
is expensive to maintain?

Or what about the day
when certain doctors
are licensed to kill?

Or maybe death will
become as easy as a pill

at the corner drugstore.
Where do we draw the line?

and it is powerful.

But remember,
she changed her mind.

If she had fought the disease,

might she have lived long enough

to receive a cure
yet undiscovered?

that grandchild?

her suffering worth the wait?

We'll never know.
