his eyes were glowing

like two red hot coals
in a fire.

And then that
ghost buffalo

looked right at him.

And Cloud Dancing said
it was like the buffalo

could see right into his spirit.

And the buffalo turned,

and he ran towards the trees,
and he just disappeared.
