that ultimatum over Thomas?

>> Hope: Because I walked in

on Liam kissing Steffy.

>> Liam: No. Thanks.

Did that just happen?

Hope just ran off

>> Steffy: Hope saw us kissing.

I mean, obviously she's upset.

I mean, you're always

>> Ridge: I'm just frustrated,

and worried about Thomas.

Brooke and Thomas is doing

what he said he would do.

He's working at the company,

and he's being a good dad

to his little boy.

But Steffy, she has

so much disappointment

coming her way, and...

Hope saw us.

I hope you don't feel

because I am absolutely not.

I just wish she didn't see it.

>> Brooke: You saw Liam

and Steffy kissing?

>> Hope: Yeah.

It shocked me, too.

>> Brooke: Oh, honey,

I'm--I'm so sorry that you had

to see that.

But it doesn't make any sense.

Why would he be proposing

to you one day and then

kissing Steffy the next?

I know you went over there

to work out the conditions

of Liam's proposal.

>> Hope: Yeah. I thought

we would be able

to find some middle ground,

that we could find a compromise

and move forward.

But instead, I walked in

on the two of them.

So I guess that's that.

>> Brooke: [ sighs ]

I don't like what I'm hearing.

>> Hope: Yeah, well, I don't

like it either, Mom,

but it's what happened.

It's the truth.

So Liam and I, we're over.

>> Ridge: You know,

in a weird way, I know

what Liam's going through.

I know what it's like

to be stuck between

two incredible women.

be repeating itself.

I don't want that for Steffy.

gonna need you today.

>> Thomas: Why is that?

>> Ridge: I think Hope and Liam

are gonna--are gonna be engaged

in the next few hours,

and I think your sister's

gonna have a tough time

with that.

>> Thomas: Don't worry.

Steffy will be fine.

I'm already making sure of it.

>> Liam: I think Hope

turned her phone off.

>> Steffy: Could be

a good thing.

She might be taking some time

to think without all the voices

in her head--yours, Brooke's.

She saw us kissing,

and she got upset. But once

she steps back a little,

she'll be okay.

>> Liam: You don't think

forgiveness is out

of the question.

>> Steffy: It's hope we're

talking about. Of course

she's gonna forgive you.

>> Liam: I mean, after

everything we've been through.

All the lies and manipulation

that kept our daughter from us.

To go from that

to finally having

our family back, I just--

I just can't accept

that it's over.

>> Steffy: It shouldn't be.

Once again, Hope isn't making

a fully informed decision.

And that needs to stop.

>> Hope: [ sighs ]

>> Brooke: I know

that you're upset, honey,

but I don't wanna hear

all this talk about the end

of your relationship.

what, pretend like I didn't see

what I saw?

Maybe they just got caught up

in a moment.

And I don't know if that comes

from a place of your history

with Ridge,

but I don't want that.

I don't wanna live

that kind of life.

I don't wanna keep waiting

for someone to make up his mind

and saw him kissing Steffy

after he spent the night

at her house,

to, what, go back on a promise

I made to a little child?

because he hates Thomas.

brought him deeper

into our lives.

Yes, I was gonna tell him.

I feel awful

about initiating that kiss.

Hope already left.

But you knew that.

>> Thomas: Okay, don't feel bad

I'm the one who told you

that Hope was coming,

and you did a great job.

>> Steffy: Yeah, I should

feel proud of myself

for setting Hope up.

>> Thomas: You should.

For fighting for your family.

And it's about time.

You don't owe Hope anything.

You have just as much right

to Liam as she does.

Look, it was nice waking up

and seeing Liam

snuggled up to our daughter.
