Hi, I'm Robyn Daye Edwards

and welcome to the search

for the next Dirt Squirrel spokes model.

Over the next 10 weeks, 20 hopeful underwear models

will compete in provocative photo shoot challenges,

testing their abilities, flexibilities

and social graces in the hope

of surviving weekly eliminations.

Exactly like that.

In the end, only three will make it to our finale,

where they'll strut their stuff

and plead their case

for the job of Dirt Squirrel brand ambassador,

a four page spread in DNA Magazine and $5,000

in cold hard cash.

Now winning this competition

isn't just about taking a great picture.

Each week these guys are gonna have

to showcase their personality,

rise to the challenge,

and prove to our judges that they have what it takes

to be considered the whole package.

I grew up in Vancouver.

I'm 28 years old.

Daniel he slipped into my DMs many years ago.

He was kind of cute

so I decided I would pursue a little bit further.

Started dating and then he was discussing a project

that he was working on in business school.

I thought it was a really fun idea as well

and we just kind of snowballed from there.

So what do you think about this logo

for one of our new hoodies?

Kind of right on the chest here.

Wade and I actually met on Grinder I believe.

Came up with a business plan while I was in university

and then we kind of took the plans

and turned it into a real life functioning business

from underwear to fans

and we kept evolving it ever since.

What attracted me to Wade was he's fun,

he's loving, great to bounce ideas off of.

I think it would be funny if we had bam

Dating and owning a business at the same time,

wouldn't recommend it.

We kind of went our separate ways for a little bit

but we kept the business.

Here we are now and I think we're in a pretty good spot.

Today, we get to meet our models.

We brought the guys to EQ3, a furniture store,

to see who's going to slay and who's going to stay.

Very open to what our spokes model would look like.

We're looking for someone that's fun,

cheeky, uberly embody the brand.

Someone that's confident, outgoing, provocative,

not afraid to push boundaries.

And look good doing it.

I'm excited to be here.

You didn't know what to expect.

I know it's going to be a posing in our underwear.

So why are we coming to a furniture store?

I was a bit confused

but at the same time I was also thinking

how can I use the furniture to my advantage.

I thought maybe we were gonna be selling furniture

in our underwear to be honest.

It's cool, it's a nice set.

Sometime in the future when I'm furnishing my own place

I want to have things like these.

So I was like.

(lip smacking)

I am eyeing the other competitors up.

Definitely seen most of them around town,

Vancouver, especially the gay community

is a really small community.

I knew a couple of them,

actually talked to one of them on Grinder.

Didn't expect to see him here,

but you know what it's okay, we're playing nice.

I didn't really know what to expect.

You know there are some great characters that were there.

I think I bring a little bit

of that California surfer guy kind of vibe.

So I'm gonna kind of ride that wave a little bit.

Tough competition.

Tons of different guys, broad rage.

I recognize a lot of the faces.

Seen a lot of the great stuff some of them can do.

Always sizing up the competition.

Got to know who you're competing with.

There's a couple of guys out there

that I got my eye on.

Yeah there's a few stand outs, yeah.

Some good looking guys here.

I am checking the competition out,

who doesn't right?

It's nice to see a variety.

We got some young people,

we've got some ancient people.

I'm unique with my look,

so I really don't look at it as a competition.

It's interesting to have surrounded a bunch of guys

and you're trying to figure out who's what

and what they're about and stuff.

Maybe I'll make some friends, maybe not,

but I'm here to model the underwear.

I'm pretty confident.

Pretty much got this I think.

I really just basically want to pay that off

So we thought we would see how you guys will do

by just throwing you right into it.
