If as you believe this man was put in jail for a robbery

Isn't it possible that he was sentenced to two years in the first place and that he was released?

But my point is we don't know that he hasn't fully paid his debt to society. Do we?

I don't believe that we have the right to chain a man up if as far as we know he is a free innocent man
