a wee baby dragon.

So sweet and sad and helpless

that the knight's
heart was softened,

his sword against it.

He gathered up the baby
dragon and took it with him.

night and stole it away

to the elfin kingdom where
nothing ever grows old or dies.

wondrous creatures.
