I mean, I'm genuinely starstruck.

Welcome to Celebrity Escape.

Yes.

Me and my sister used to watch Rove Live
every single Friday. We loved Rove so

much. So, man, that guy looks exactly
the same.

He is an agent today.

So this officially marks the beginning
of your competition and perhaps the end

of your sanity, if you had any to begin
with. And this is The Voice.

Now this is not one of the rooms. So if
you're looking at this gun, this seems

really easy. Yes, there's a door there.
There's a door there. This is not how it

works. How it works is behind each of
these doors lies the sixth escape room

that you will be facing this season.
Each one comes with its own theme as

as its own range of clues, puzzles and
obstacles that you will have to find to

escape the room.

Before we get into it, by show of hands,

It sort of sounds horrible.

a source of entertainment.

and I just did an escape room and then

Garfield who likes escape rooms.

We have left every single room we've
ever been in. That's why we're here.

our very single room.

I've got a toddler so I don't get to do
much. My life is in the escape room now.

But yeah, so I've done them a bit, not
as much as I would like. Probably I go

them more often than I go to the
dentist, less often than I get my nails

Abby, what skills do you think you bring
to Celebrity Escape?

People say to me all the time, Abby, I
bet you're good at puzzles, but I think

that's just a euphemism for having no
social skills.

You're really hard to talk to, but geez,
you know how to do a jigsaw.

I'm actually quite nervous about it
because, like, weirdly I feel pressure

autistic. Like, you know, if I get out
there and I can't do puzzles, people

be like, you know, what are you good
for?

Now, Josh, you seem to think that your
biggest attribute here is that you are

possibly going to be too good at it.
It's a real cross to bear. I assume I'm

going to win, but who knows, who knows.
It'll be nice to hang out. I mean, some

people came here to have fun and hang
out and make jokes and stuff. I'm here

get out.

I don't want to be competitive, but if
someone thinks they're more competitive

than me, I'm going to waste them.

Chris, have you ever, like, managed to
get out of a room ever in your life?

I've gotten out of closets, I've gotten
out of all sorts of things. I think I'll

be okay, yeah.

I feel like everything I've done in my
life has led up to this.

which I can only describe as the sort of
emotional peak of my existence.

And Frank, I know that you have done
escape rooms with your children.

Has that prepared you for doing escape
rooms with comedians?

Um, I think these guys are going to be
great.

Yes, you will.

Yes, you will.

I'm the youngest of seven kids and I
could never win anything, particularly

against my older brother, Tim.

He was better than me at everything.

So I think I might have developed like a
psychological safety net of going, I'm

going to be the lovable loser as opposed
to the winner. So as a result, I'm not

competitive at all.

So here's how it works, right? So each
room has a strict 45 -minute time limit.

As soon as you enter the room, the door
will lock behind you and the countdown

will begin.

You must uncover as many clues as you
can to solve the puzzle and escape the

room. If you manage to do that
successfully within the time limit, you

receive the Game Master's gift.

But if you fail to make it out in time,
well...

then you shall face the Game Master's
wrath.

Trust me, you do not want to know what
it is, because my wrath is particularly

wrathy. I tell you what I don't want,
the Game Master's wrath.

Mainly because I don't want to hear Rove
mispronounce wrath again.

I don't want to hear him say wrath,
wrath, wrath.

All right, enough chit -chat.

Let's get into it. I'm going to throw
you in at the deep end, your first room

away. I'm going to head to the control
room where I'll be watching on. If you

head to the door with the crescent moon,
I will say, good luck.

You'll need it.

This is the witch's cavern. Once home to
Tituba, a real woman accused of

witchcraft during the Salem trial.

Every clue here traces back to her final
spell.

Inside are five puzzles designed to be
solved in order.

First, hidden symbols must be decoded to
arrange a ritual shrine, unlocking a

wand and a skull.

The wand reveals a hidden key and a
strip of enchanted fabric, a message

only makes sense when wrapped around the
right object.

That leads to a book of spells and a
cauldron that only reacts when the

ingredients are added in the correct
order. Green means right, red means very

wrong.

Finally, a message from beyond the grave
reveals the last code and one final

surprise before freedom.

All they need to do is stay calm and
follow instructions.

If they can do that, in 45 minutes or
less, they will win my game's master's

gift. Fail, and they will face my wrath.

Oh my God, I was a teenage witch.

I don't know what twisted minds created
these rooms, but I am beginning to fear

there is a witch hiding in this room. So
I'm already panicking because that is

my number one fear.

Comedians, welcome to the witch's cabin.

Hocus pocus.

It's giving Salem witch trials. It's
giving Ice Dog Goody Parker dancing with

the devil. Your objective is to unlock
the door you entered through. To do

you must uncover the story of who lived
here.

There is a letter on the table. I will
begin with that.

And I would also hurry if I were you,
because the clock.

I once called this cabin mine.

Now, see that graffiti on the wall?
That's not modern art. That's actually a

clue if they can decipher it. Do you
reckon that's the cell?

Yes. And there are these symbols.

I was kind of dumb when I came in. Did
people notice that?

I was quite alpha.

I was like, here's what we're going to
do. I feel like I came in, like, worry

We get this scroll that is clearly the
first clue, because Rove tells us.

It couldn't be more straightforward.

Then immediately, and this is where I
think the

flaw in the show is, because you've cast
comedians in here. They all just go

like running in a million different
directions and almost...

entirely forget the scroll altogether.

Oh, this is, wait, this is a four number
lock.

And there's a three there. With the
initial letter, I think I would have

tried to get a sense of what are we
thinking we're getting from that letter

before we moved on. Oh, we just all
moved on.

Found some twine.

Awesome. In a drawer.

Should we, if we find something that we
think is significant, maybe we should

put it on the table or something. So
we're collecting significant things.

Frank is very good at just like bringing
the room together.

So does anybody from the note get a
feeling of like, what is the first thing

need to solve?

puppeteering the goofy guy.

with preschoolers, so we know it's

that things need to be put onto the

stick mean? Is this because we're going

to mix it up?

correctly, the letters will spell a word
they need.
