(Episode 19)

Hee Ju returned the money,

and my wife will be safe.

We must find that bag of money first.

If we don't,

my wife and I are done for.

No.

We must go see Seo Yeon first.

- Seung Jae. - You don't know...

what kind of woman Yoon Hee Ju is.

Hee Ju.

- How did you know... - What happened?

Did you escape?

Ms. Jung!

- Mr. Kang. - Let's talk later.

You should get out of here now.

There's no need to fight.

I've returned the money in return for her.

I already talked with your boss.

Return the money?

What do you mean?

In Pyo told me everything.

That the money for the trust fund was actually stolen.

That...

So...

you returned that money?

I had to save you first.

Look at yourself. Can you call this a normal situation?

- Hee Ju. - Relax.

I have an idea.

It seems too early to relax.

The money is another story.

Boss told us to take care of you.

Get out of here. Now!

- Seo Yeon. - Mr. Kang.

- Mr. Kang. - Come here!

Hee Ju.

You have to go.

You punk!

You need to go now.

Go now!

You have your passport, right?

- Hey! - Stop the car!

Stop the car!

- Stop! - Don't let them get away!

No! Stop!

Stop them!

Darn it.

I heard you're called the Mad Bull.

What a perfect nickname.

Cut the nonsense...

and let's go meet Seo Yeon.

You go and meet her.

She won't listen to me anyway.

My secretary probably bought your ticket by now.

- Hee Ju. - Although it's not much,

I'll wire you some money right away. For now,

get out of here.

No.

I'm not going anywhere.

You still don't understand after all that's happened?

You must leave.

Or nothing will be taken care of.

I don't care.

Without that money,

I'm not going anywhere.

Stop being greedy and just forget about that money.

One's greed...

can only stop when it has been fulfilled.

Someone like you who was born rich...

will never understand.

Seo Yeon.

I thought you cared for me.

Are you trying to scare me?

If you keep being stubborn,

I'll have to drag you onto that plane.

I'll have to refuse.

That seems like a bit too much to consider as friendship.

Why have you changed so much?

What's the big deal about that money?

I'm doing this to survive.

If I stop here, I'll die.

That money may mean nothing to you,

but to me, it's my heart...

and life.

The RIU has arrived in that area.

The RIU?

What on earth are you up to?

Did you attack the Blue House or something?

The chief suddenly gave urgent orders.

Get out of there for now.

- I'll call you later. - Hey, Mr. Park.

Get me some information on someone.

Her name is Jung Seo Yeon.

(Daeyeong Tech)

(Daeyeong Tech)

Ms. Jung!

We have to go. The police will arrive soon. Come on.

Ms. Jung.

Let go. I have to find my money.

Pull yourself together!

There's nothing here. Okay?

What is the matter with you?

Why do you keep getting in my way? Why?

Is it impossible for someone like me?

Is it that hard...

for me to start over...

or even have hope?

Have you gotten a hold of him?

What on earth are you thinking?

Just take good care of the money.

We managed to give the RIU the slip, but you'll be doomed...

if anything happens to the money.

Wait, there's already a problem.

So strictly speaking, I guess we can say you're already doomed.

Be careful with those around you.

- The way he likes to work is... - Let me talk to him directly.

Hello?

Hello?

This scumbag.

Sir, the money didn't come.

I moved it elsewhere.

You don't need to know where it is.

Drink this. It'll warm you up.

I'm sorry.

You came to help me, but I threw a hissy fit.

I must've been out of my mind for a moment.

Your brother is worried about you.

I thought he was your ex-boyfriend or something.

Maybe that would've been better, in a way.

What do you mean?

If...

he was involved in my brother's accident...

Even if that is the case,

I'll still do what I need to do.

I will catch Baek Seung Jae at all costs.

He said he doesn't know anything about it.

I asked him numerous times.

You don't believe him, do you?

He's probably waiting for you now.

That's okay.

Even if I go there,

he'll say the same thing as what you told me.

But I will not...

leave like this.

Thanks for this.

Ms. Jung!

As for the money, it's time you gave up.

There's no way to track it down.

Thanks to you, I feel much better now.

You and I...

are on different paths anyway.

Where is my money?

I don't know.

Do you actually expect me to believe that?

Ms. Jung, we're dealing with an emergency here as well.

- The police came and... - That's your problem.

You'd better find out soon.

For everyone's sake, that is.

We lost Kim Do Hak. I apologize, ma'am.

(Chairwoman Yoon Hee Ju)

Even the Commissioner General is involved now.

Aren't you digging too deep?

You shouldn't mess with these people.

Right, so I'll teach them a lesson instead.

That there's a price to pay when you break your promise.

But I have to say,

I was really surprised.

I didn't think...

you'd throw away all the money...

just to save Seo Yeon.

What?

I'll find a place where she can hide in another country.

Would you be able to leave with her?

She's your sister, so you should take care of her. Why ask me?

Stop talking nonsense.

Who's the person that gave the order to the driver?

Kim Do Hak? Or Leon?

Do you actually think I'd know that?

It is true that Leon and I used to be close.

But you are...

aiming at the wrong target.

You can keep shooting, but it'll be a waste of time.

The 10 million-dollar slush fund Kim Do Hak had been managing.

Why did it have to be moved, which caused all this mess?

Kim Do Hak tried to siphon it off but got caught,

obviously.

Wrong.

That money...

should not exist, period.

Three years ago,

Leon committed a 300 million-dollar investment fraud...

and turned 10 million from it into cash,

as a war trophy to celebrate his success.

- Who's he? - I don't know.

But...

[VIU Ver] KBS2 E19 '9.9 Billion Woman' "The Secret Behind The Money" -♥ Ruo Xi ♥-

It's a pleasure to meet you.

I'm honored to meet you in person.

Thank you for entrusting me with this task.

The longing

Will lead us back to each other

I guess...

I'll have to take the souvenir some other time.

Pardon me?

There are some flies on my tail.

I want you...

to keep it someplace safe for now.

Someone figured out Leon's whereabouts and tipped off a cop.

That cop and a lunatic that couldn't be bribed...

were entering the building.

You fool.

So he left the country, and three years have passed.

Just for fun,

Leon looked into who told the cop...

about his whereabouts that night...

and found out the real secret behind the money while doing that.

What secret?

What did you do to the 10 million dollars?

It contains 100,000 dollars...

that must not be used in any circumstances.

I'd say it's money we can use to trace his crimes.

Many European figures who lost their money were furious.

So they bought off one of his men...

and planted a trap.

So if that 100,000 comes out on the market,

that man will be caught right away?

This is literally a 10-million-dollar Russian roulette.

Will he really...

be able to pull the trigger?

Once he found out the secret, he probably tried to get rid of it.

Either shred all that money or burn it.

That way he could return to Korea.

Mr. Kang.

- Why don't we return... - Go ahead if you want to die.

How will you handle the consequences?

That money can't be used anyway.

Just give up.

- What do you mean? - What?

What do you mean, it can't be used?

What does that mean?

Well...

Hey. Who sent you?

Is it Kim Do Hak?

It's Leon, isn't it?

Did that punk send you?

All that money will be burned anyway.

And you'll also...

be thrown into that fiery pit.

No way.

Do you think he'll be safe?

Open it.

I know you were busy digging up dirt on him.

His file is inside there,

so I'll give it to you as a gift.

That night,

the driver was probably about to take your brother somewhere.

And someone...

was probably waiting for that van to arrive.

In order to kill your brother...

and bury that money again.

It's you, isn't it? You received orders from Leon...

and planted that driver, didn't you?

I found out after the accident occurred.

- Do you expect me to believe that? - That's how Leon works.

Park Jun Bae, Kim Do Hak.

They all receive orders that way.

He doesn't let his people know, and he confuses his foes as well.

I will...

take that money.

I can't let Kim Do Hak burn it.

It's a crucial piece of evidence we can catch Leon with.

Mr. Kang.

I must find Kim Do Hak first.

Tell me where he is.

That's the only way I'll believe you.

Hee Ju.

Were you the one who planted...

that 100,000 dollar trap?

That jerk caused so much damage.

There were several companies that went bankrupt,

and dozens of people even committed suicide.

But they didn't even know who was behind everything.

I found out...

and planted that trap.

That kind of dirty tragedy...

must never happen again.

Is that why you returned all the money?

So Leon would be reassured and come back?

He must come back.

He needs to come...

to pay for his sins.

And what are you planning to do?

Aren't you even afraid,

going up against a monster like him?

I wouldn't have started if I was afraid.

The problem is,

I still don't know what he looks like.

Back then and even now, he has never revealed his identity.

Do you feel cold being naked?

I took off all the clothes from my mannequin husband...

to give him a completely new outfit.

You're right.

I'm just another mannequin to you.

No.

From now on, become my real husband.

A husband...

that I can trust and rely on, for this foundation and our family.

A tough fight will begin soon.

Let's fight together, darling.

Honey.

Are you all right?

You're not hurt, are you?

(10 million, 9.9 million)

You've been investigating thoroughly.

What about your brother?

"Give up, run away."

Everyone keeps telling me that.

I have no intention of doing that.

The ones obsessed with that money...

are just me...

and you now.

So...

do you need my help?

(Seized)

Don't mind it.

I was about to sort it out before you returned.

You can relax. It's our home.

I knew...

you'd return one day.

Don't be mistaken.

I came to talk about the money.

The money.

Okay.

The money.

We need to find it first.

(Murim-ri 678-2, Sohol-eup, Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province)

Even the RIU has intervened,

and Kim Do Hak has disappeared.

It's all over now, Tae Woo.

Who says it's over? It has just started.

The money...

I'll find the evidence and put that jerk, Leon,

in jail once and for all.

And everyone else related to Tae Hyeon's death.

But didn't Baek Seung Jae give you that address?

Are you sure Kim Do Hak is hiding there?

Hey. Do you really trust him?

He blamed everything on Leon and got himself out of this mess.

But what if he's the one who killed Tae Hyeon?

What will you do then?

He's Seo Yeon's brother.

Are you sure it doesn't matter?

You and I...

are on different paths anyway.

Wait.

It seems like he was here just a while ago.

That jerk, Kim Do Hak. Search the area.

- Yes, sir. - Yes, sir.

I think he already escaped.

But...

how did he know?

That night,

the driver was probably about to take your brother somewhere.

And someone was probably waiting for that van to arrive.

In order to kill your brother...

and bury that money again.

Yes, it's me.

I have a favor to ask.

The van Tae Hyeon was in during the accident.

Can you find the navigation device that was in it?

Yes. We must find out...

where the final destination of that navigation was.

(Episode 20 will air shortly.)

(Episode 20)

Haven't you gone to bed yet? You must be tired.

I woke up.

It was a good idea that you came to me.

Kang Tae Woo's flash drive.

This will find us a way.

I told you...

I know everything and I can find everything.

Just follow my lead. Then we won't fail.

I need to make one thing clear.

When we get the money back,

after we split the money,

I will leave right away.

What if I don't let you?

You will have to.

The woman who would get terrified just by your voice...

died that night.

Now, I have...

turned back into myself...

way before I met you.

Then it's better.

Try to remember...

why you chose me.

And the reason why I was attracted to you.

Back then,

I just needed somewhere to escape.

And that was me.

Why?

Because we are alike.

Our misfortune, loneliness, and frustration...

are awfully alike.

So we infected each other.

Can't you see it yet?

You also have been controlling and manipulating me.

When I get the money back,

everything will change.

Our ill-fated relationship...

will be over too.

Do you really think...

it will be over like that?

Should I burn all the money?

Or should I just run away with it?

I need to live too.

I don't want to be chased forever.

I need to go to the office.

Sir, if you make a move now, the cops will...

Then you go.

You know where the confidential documents...

and cash are in the office.

If you feel like it, you can just take it and run away.

I'll bring it back.

Leon, what are you up to?

Why on earth are you not doing anything?

I was right.

Criminals always return to the scene of the crime.

I thought the deal with you fell through.

You and I still have a deal to make.

Kang Tae Hyeon.

This is the thing the director of the finance team left.

If you want it back, tell me.

Did you find out...

where my money is?

We're still working on it.

I'm disappointed.

I thought you were good.

Yes.

Okay.

Ms. Jung, you put me in a very difficult situation.

Mr. Kim seems to be suspicious of me too.

However,

we are making the deal.

Take a look. We need to trust each other.

We have a copy of it.

Make sure to get back to us quickly so we don't hand it to the cops.

Is that you, Dong Chul?

I heard you asked Dong Chul a favor.

You asked him to find the navigation device of the accident vehicle.

Why?

Did you get some bribe and lose it again?

Do you think someone like him would...

leave something like that as evidence?

The information you're looking for...

no longer exists in this world.

Anyhow,

Yoo Mi Ra.

Did you kill her?

- What? - Don't play dumb with me.

Or did you clean up after Jung Seo Yeon killed her?

What are you talking about?

I was investigating Jung Seo Yeon and found a 911 report history.

And it turns out a woman named Yoo Mi Ra...

died from an accident.

(Ambulance)

Didn't you say she's the one who took those 10 million dollars?

Come on, Tae Woo, let me get a sniff of that money too.

That man known as Mr. Seo.

Will he keep his promise?

I don't trust people easily.

Do you think I gave him that flash drive for nothing?

He's waiting for you inside.

Nice to meet you. I'm Lee Jae Hun.

I heard your company is stuck in quite a pickle.

It's all right, things like this happen all the time.

Your boss is wanted by the police. Are you sure it's all right?

Usually, when a boss starts to cough,

his underlings all catch pneumonia.

So I'd like to...

recommend a talented doctor.

I can't believe I was almost...

used by these people.

I can't believe it either,

but it's not important.

Shall we continue?

Sure.

What... did you just say?

Instead of a director, I'll make you into the CEO.

I'll make sure you get that title.

You should grasp the opportunity when things are hectic.

Look at how your boss is struggling right now.

Now is the golden time for you.

My boss...

is my brother-in-law.

I understand. Let's end this meeting then.

Then did you...

also send the RIU?

What do you want from me?

Leon.

Once you obtain information on him,

tell me right away.

That's my condition.

Jung Seo Yeon and her husband...

have some critical information about me.

Even if that's handed over to the police,

can you take care of it?

Don't you have a harder favor to ask?

[VIU Ver] KBS2 E20 '9.9 Billion Woman' "Leon's Order to Seung Jae" -♥ Ruo Xi ♥-

If this is about Jung Seo Yeon,

go ask someone else.

I don't care about her or that bag of money now.

Yoo Mi Ra.

Is it you or Jung Seo Yeon?

We're accomplices.

A woman has died. Don't joke around with me.

Look here.

You think Jung Seo Yeon is so clean...

and I'm dirty?

The 3.3 million for the trust fund.

Why do you think she donated that to Yoo Mi Ra's son?

When Jung Seo Yeon is such an innocent woman?

Think about that carefully.

You just want to make me into a guilty person right now.

But keep in mind that Jung Seo Yeon is as guilty as me.

She's the one who started this whole mess!

Turn yourself in.

- What? - I'm an impatient man...

so I can't wait for long.

Turn yourself in.

Cut the nonsense.

A vulnerable woman...

you want to protect.

Right?

I was like you too until recently.

My feelings for her were sincere at one point.

I felt...

as if I could really save that innocent woman.

But I was just mistaken.

Shut it, Lee Jae Hun!

Turn myself in?

Don't be ridiculous.

My wife and my child.

I have so many things I need to protect.

You'll never be able to protect them...

before you pay for your sins.

Don't forget that.

Hey!

You better pull yourself together.

Jung Seo Yeon! She's like quicksand.

Can't you see how she's ruining everything?

If you get close to her, you'll go down as well.

Turn yourself in,

Lee Jae Hun.

(Accomplice)

(Seo Min Kyu's brother-in-law)

(10 million, 9.9 million)

Why do you think they met?

I don't know why...

Lee Jae Hun asked to meet with Mr. Seo.

We heard it together.

"We know your boss is wanted by the police."

"So return my bag of money before he's caught."

They all just want to take their own share eventually.

What do you mean?

Lee Jae Hun's bag of money?

Daeyeong Tech has that money too?

Besides the money for the trust fund,

Hee Ju returned that money too?

In total, it's 8.995 million dollars.

That's what I heard.

8.995 million dollars?

How...

Wait.

Wait a minute.

There were three suitcases in total.

That's right. I'm sure.

Hee Ju...

also took Jae Hun's suitcase of money?

But how?

Good job, darling.

- You drew my hair so long. - Yes.

- This spot is empty. - It is.

You'll never be able to protect them...

before you pay for your sins.

Dad.

Dad?

Yes, Yu Ri.

What color do you want your necktie to be?

Let me see.

I want it...

- to be pink. - A pink necktie for a man?

What's wrong with that?

You're wearing pink clothes, so I want a pink necktie too.

Come here, Yu Ri. Let me see how much you've grown.

You already look like a lady!

I'll follow you and wear a pink necktie.

- Okay, I'll color it pink. - Okay, I'd like pink.

- I love you. - I love you too.

Hee Ju...

knew everything.

That her husband was cheating on her...

and that he stole that money with you. She knew everything.

How on earth...

No, that's not possible.

Then what about Lee Jae Hun's money?

How could Hee Ju return that?

All she had was the money you entrusted her.

You were...

No.

That woman toyed with us.

She returned that huge amount of money.

Just so she could save me.

If she knew everything, she would never have done that.

She would have cursed me...

for betraying her.

Do you really know your rich friend Yoon Hee Ju that well?

Do you know everything she's scheming inside that head of hers?

Hee Ju is...

(Chairwoman Yoon Hee Ju of Un Am Foundation started to...)

She kept nagging she wanted to sleep with me,

but she's already fast asleep.

What a cute kid.

Hee Ju.

The woman who died in that studio apartment.

I'm afraid things might get out of hand.

The cop who was with Seo Yeon...

came to threaten me.

He told me to turn myself in...

before he reveals everything.

It doesn't matter...

if I'm alone.

But what about Yu Ri...

and you?

What about our family?

Get up.

I'm sorry, Hee Ju.

Hug me.

Yes.

This is how you do it.

Don't hide anything...

or lie.

Just come into my arms.

Then everything will be sorted out.

Don't worry about the accident.

I got rid of...

all the evidence and witnesses.

Except for one person.

My husband.

I think he's seeing someone.

Seo Yeon.

You shouldn't live like that.

You always have a lot of secrets.

I'll forgive you. Since that's your charm.

Just leave.

Go and live happily as you can.

Promise me you'll do that for my sake at least.

Can you promise me?

Jung Seo Yeon is as guilty as me.

She's the one who started this whole mess!

How are things up there?

It's a total mess down here.

I don't even know what's right and wrong now.

Everyone has lost their minds.

I'm sorry.

Still, it's all right.

I can lose my mind with them too.

In order to catch bad guys,

I have no choice to turn bad as well.

For your sister.

If you want to save Jung Seo Yeon, take care of it.

It's a gift from him. He says they're your favorite weapons.

How could I shoot a gun in a country like Korea?

Also, he wants to know...

why this man is still alive.

The order for his death was already given.

(Proposal for W.F Funding)

This is the proposal...

for the business investment I mentioned last time.

It's a proposal about methods to efficiently facilitate...

investments for businessmen.

Director Lee, why don't you head this project?

Sure.

Since you've put your trust in me,

I'll try my best.

Oh, my.

You should've called.

Have you eaten yet?

You always wanted to go eat with me,

but we never made it because of me.

How are you, Jae Hun? Are you all right?

I don't like this sudden visit.

My wife already has a plan.

I can cancel it.

I guess you should go to the luncheon alone.

It looks like Seo Yeon wants to talk to me alone.

I heard your male friend...

blackmailed Jae Hun.

Regarding the incident at the studio apartment.

Don't turn yourself in.

Jae Hun won't either.

Where's my money?

I know you bought Seo Min Kyu.

What?

If you keep being greedy like that,

you will die. Seo Yeon.

I told you.

It's my heart and life.

Even if I have to die, I will die next to the money.

You're making it...

more and more difficult for me to forgive you.

"Forgive"?

Hee Ju.

I have come too far to ask for your forgiveness.

I'm sorry this is how I repay your friendship,

but I will remain a criminal.

Seo Yeon.

Do you remember you had one last chance?

That chance was blown long ago.

What?

The chance was blown?

Who blew it?

When?

Even if you say so,

I won't give up.

You could have asked me to grab your hair.

You could have asked me to cuss at you.

Because I can do that. However you...

Why did it have to be my man?

And why did you do it?

You knew everything.

Was it fun watching me...

struggle for life?

Is that the friendship you're talking about?

(9.9 Billion Woman)

I know where the money will go.

You stole the money. What a horrible coincidence.

Don't let others take it. It's always been yours.

Do you think I will just let you go like this?

I really think Leon will catch you.

- Tae Woo. - Don't worry.

Anyone who goes there will die. And you won't be an exception.

Attract the flies and kill them at once.

Keep it together.

You did everything you could to Seo Yeon. Don't blame yourself.

We might die today.

I rather want you to go there...

and die.
