CARP TOWER

Are you permitted to walk on this road?

Who allowed you to wander freely?

Forgive me.

I...

Su She.

PAGEANT HALL

The roads in Carp Tower are extremely complicated.

We can't blame Young Master Su for taking the wrong road.

Why are you everywhere?

Clan Leader Lan. Hanguang Jun.

Please.

Please come with me.

Do you remember me?

Of course.

How could I not?

Haven't we met once before?

Su Minshan, Young Master Su.

Your swordsmanship is very good.

Last time, during the banquet in Nightless City,

I was thinking that

it was a pity that such a talented young man

didn't visit my home.

Today, you paid us a visit.

I am over the moon.

Please go this way.

-Clan Leader Nie. -This way, please.

Please.

Clan Leader Su,

sit down, please.

Clan Leader Lan.

Yao.

Did you invite Su She?

Yes.

After the Sunshot Campaign,

every gentry clan rebuilt their mansion house.

Clan Leader Su has also gone back to his hometown, Moling,

to build his clan.

It took only a few months for the clan to take shape.

It's good for everyone to make friends with such a talent.

Yao,

don't you know that Su She...

Young Master, didn't you know that Clan Leader Su

was a secondary disciple of the Lan Clan at first?

He established himself in Moling after the Sunshot Campaign.

Clan Leader Lan,

I didn't know that.

Only just now...

It doesn't matter.

The uninformed are not guilty.

Never mind.

Young Masters, let me fill your cups for you.

Clan Leader Jiang!

Sit here.

Have a drink, Clan Leader Jiang.

Sure.

Gentry friends,

this Baifeng Mountain Crowd Hunt is unprecedentedly grand.

The number of caught prey is the most in history.

Especially, the Jiang Clan of Yunmeng

caught the most prey among all clans.

Congratulations, Clan Leader Jiang.

How delectable and glorious deed!

The Jiang Clan of Yunmeng dare not claim all the credit.

I am willing to contribute all we caught

to all the gentry clans to support our gentry friends.

Thank you for the enthusiastic invitation by the Jin Clan.

Sure enough, Clan Leader Jiang is sensible.

Right.

Clan Leader Jiang is indeed a teenage hero

who has his father's demeanor.

Please have a drink.

Clan Leader Lan. Hanguang Jun.

Let's toast to you two.

Zixun.

Zewu Jun and Hanguang Jun

came from Cloud Recesses.

Three thousand disciplines are carved on the Wall of Discipline.

Instead of drinking liquor, you might as well...

The Jin Clan and the Lan Clan

are close friends.

If you don't drink,

that means you look down on me.

What a frank and forthright spirit!

It is what a gentry should be made of.

Let's save the words.

Clan Leader Lan,

we are not strangers.

Don't treat me the way you do

to strangers.

One simple question.

Will you drink or not?

They still need to maneuver the sword to go back.

Drinking will affect that negatively.

Drinking two cups of liquor won't hurt.

Even if I drink eight jorums of liquor,

I can still maneuver the sword and fly in the sky.

Good.

Hanguang Jun.

It's your turn.

Please.

I'll drink for him.

Is that okay?

Young Master Wei.

When did you get here?

Just now.

Young Master Wei, why did you come so late?

Here. Sit down, please.

Don't bother.

I have something urgent to ask Young Master Jin Zixun.

Can I have a moment with you?

You can talk to me

when our banquet is over.

How long will it take?

Six to eight hours.

Or eight to ten hours maybe.

Or maybe it will end tomorrow.

I'm afraid I can't wait that long.

It's not up to you.

Wei Wuxian.

Young Master Wei, what do you need from Young Master Jin Zixun?

Is it that urgent?

Extremely urgent.

It can't be delayed.

Here.

Clan Leader Lan.

Let's drink again.

Okay.

I'll just say it right here.

Young Master Jin Zixun, please tell me.

Do you know a person called Wen Ning?

No.

You definitely know a person called Wen Ning.

A month ago, you were night hunting in Ganquan

and chasing an Eight-Winged Bat King

to a place where remnants of the Wen clan live,

the so-called detention place.

You took a group of the Wen Clan's disciples away.

Their leader was Wen Ning.

I said I don't know him.

I am too busy

to remember the name of a bastard from the Wen Clan.

Fine.

I don't mind explaining it further to you.

You couldn't catch up with the Bat King

and ran into the Wen Clan's disciples who came to see what happened.

So you forced them to put on Stygian Lure Flags

as live bait.

They were afraid to do it.

One of them stood up and argued with you stutteringly.

This person was Wen Ning.

During the tarriance,

the Bat King ran away.

So you beat the disciples of the Wen Clan badly

and took them away.

They disappeared since then.

Do you want me to say more details?

They haven't returned until now.

Besides you,

I really don't know who else I can ask.

Wei Wuxian,

what do you mean?

Are you asking me to hand them over?

Do you want to

stand up for those bastards?

It doesn't concern you whether I want to speak up for them or step on them.

Just hand them over.

Wei Wuxian, don't be so rampant.

How dare you be so rude as you stand here?

Do you really think you are so invincible

that no one dares to offend you?

Do you want to overturn the heavens?

Are you comparing yourself to the heavens?

With all due respect,

you really have thick skin.

It's not a big deal.

You, teenagers, get angry so easily.

But Young Master Wei,

fairly speaking,

today, you disrupt the private banquet of the Jin Clan of Lanling.

Isn't it improper?

Clan Leader Jin,

I didn't want to mess with the private banquet.

My apologies.

However, the lives

taken by Young Master Jin Zixun are uncertain so far.

I'm afraid that we can't save them if we wait any longer.

I am grateful to one of them, who saved my life.

I have no reason to stand by.

Please forgive me.

I'll repay you in the future.

Why can't you delay it?

Come and sit.

I'll chat with you slowly.

Wei Wuxian, what on earth do you want to do?

That's kind of you, Clan Leader Jin,

but I won't sit.

This can't wait.

Please solve it soon.

You are anxious. I'm more anxious.

Calm down.

Talking about this,

we still have some problems yet to be solved.

Since you are here,

let's take the chance

to tackle them all together.

Tackle what?

Young Master Wei,

I mentioned it to you

a few times before.

Don't you remember?

In the Sunshot Campaign,

you used one thing.

The Stygian Tiger Amulet?

Is there a problem?

It is extremely similar to the Yin Iron.

You used it on the battlefield.

It's very powerful.

Besides,

it hurt a lot of cultivators accidentally.

Please get to the point.

This is the point!

Among the four shards of the Yin Irons, three were destroyed.

One is missing.

Regardless of how your Stygian Tiger Amulet was forged,

its power is too strong for anyone to master.

Such an important thing

is held in your hands alone. I'm afraid...

Clan Leader Jin,

are you hinting at something?

All right.

Please allow me to ask another question.

Do you think that

without the Wen Clan of Qishan,

the Jin Clan is supposed to take its place naturally?

So everything should be handed over to you

and everyone should follow your order.

Look at how the Jin Clan of Lanling is acting.

I almost thought it's the heyday of the Wen Clan again.

Wei Wuxian, what are you talking about?

Did I say something wrong?

At Nightless City,

I could take what you did as revenge.

But now that water is under the bridge,

you still force people to be live bait.

If they refuse, you beat and bully them.

What's the difference between you and the Wen Clan?

Wei Ying.

Of course, it's different.

The Wen Clan does evil things.

This is what they deserve!

It's just a tooth for a tooth.

Let them eat their own bitter fruits.

What did we do wrong?

You should punish the people who bit you.

Wen Qing and Wen Ning have never gotten their hands

on anything bloody.

Or do you want to execute a collective punishment?

It's righteous for anyone to kill the people of the Wen Clan.

Why the hell should we talk sense into them?

It's a pity that I killed

too few of them.

You even kill the innocent casually.

Then if I kill you today,

will that be justified?

You...

-Wei Wuxian. -Wei Ying.

Young Master Wei,

don't be hotheaded.

Everything can be discussed.

Wei Wuxian!

I, Clan Leader Jiang, am still here.

Aren't you being too unscrupulous?

If I, Wei Wuxian, want to kill someone,

who can stop me?

Who dares to stop me?

Wei Ying,

put down your Chenqing.

Jin Zixun!

Presumably, everyone knows

that I am not patient.

I have wasted so much time with you here.

I will only count to three.

Three.

Two.

Forget it.

Isn't it just for a few cultivators of the Wen Clan?

If you want them, go ahead.

I don't want to badger with you anymore.

Go to Qiongqi Way and find them yourself.

Look at you.

Why didn't you just say it earlier?

I found them.

Let's go.

You might as well rest first.

I'll go alone.

I promise

I will save him.

No.

No.

I have to go.

I have to go.

How can you go in this condition?

Eat something

and replenish your strength.

I promise you.

After you finish eating this,

I will take you there.

Where are Ning and the others?

Qiongqi Way.

I knew it.

I should never have left him.

But I couldn't help it.

They transferred me to another city.

When I came back,

Ning and the other people were gone.

I knew I shouldn't have left him.

You need to believe him.

He can survive.

Go to hell.

Father,

please don't be angry.

PAGEANT HALL

Yao.

Are you okay?

I'm good.

Clan Leader Lan, sit down, please.

You shall go and get changed.

I can't walk away.

Young Master Wei is too impulsive.

How could he say something like that

in front of the gentries?

Isn't what he said

right?

Yes, it is.

Just because it's right,

doesn't mean he can say that to everyone's face.

Nowadays Young Master Wei's temperament

has changed a lot.

Go

and do your best.

Why do we need his consent to punish the Wen Clan?

And to so many clan leaders' faces!

Besides, Clan Leader Jiang hasn't said anything yet.

Why should he say all that?

-Go. -Go.

Clan Leader, we...

Madam.

Madam.

Madam.

Madam.

Where is the Fourth Master?

Where is Ning?

Ning.

Lady Wen.

Halt.

Where are you from?

Who allowed you to go inside?

I'm looking for someone.

I don't care if you're looking for a person or a ghost. Go.

If you don't go, I...

Ning!

Ning!

Ning!

Ning!

Have you seen Ning?

Have you seen Ning?

Have you seen Ning?

Ning!

Ning!

Have you seen Ning or not?

Ning?

Ning!

Where is Ning?

Have you seen Ning?

Have you seen Ning?

Where is Wen Ning? Did you see him?

Get everyone over here!

Where are the newly sent cultivators of the Wen Clan?

In the past days,

were any Wen Clan cultivators sent here?

One of them stammers.

Have you seen him?

Every prisoner of war here is a cultivator of the Wen Clan.

Every day, there are new people sent here.

They are all here.

I know he must be here.

Almost every day, people would come and ask for some cultivators.

I believe

he escaped.

He will never escape.

Since madam and other people are here,

Ning will never escape alone.

Are you saying

that everyone is here?

Well...

All of them are here.

All of them are here?

All right.

I'll believe you for a moment

that all the living people are here.

What about the others?

Young Master, have mercy.

I say...

The corpses of the people of the Wen Clan were thrown away in the valley.

We just followed orders.

It's none of our business.

Take us there!

It's

in front of us.

Ning!

Ning!

Ning!

Ning!

Ning!

Ning.

Ning!

Ning!

Ning!

Ning!

Ning!

Ning!

Ning!

Ning!

Ning!

How's it going? Have you found him?

What do you think?

Since Young Master Jin was gone,

he has been left there for several days.

Even if he didn't die at that time,

he is supposed to be a stinking corpse now.

What are you standing still for?

Are you waiting for Wei Wuxian and the girl to make trouble for us?

Go quickly!

But wait.

Young Master Jin said that those people are meant for testing,

so must keep an eye on them.

What if he blames us after we escape?

What's more important now?

Your life or those people?

I think we might as well kill those people

so that they can't reveal what we have done.

Then what are you waiting for?

Kill them first.

-Young Master, have mercy. -Young Master, have mercy.

-Young Master, have mercy. -Young Master, have mercy.

-Young Master, have mercy. -Young Master, have mercy.

What kind of evil did you want to attract

when you plugged the Stygian Lure Flags into their bodies?

Or

what kind of evil tricks did you want to practice?

Who killed them?

Young Master Wei, please don't say that.

-Nobody dares to kill people here. -Right.

Each of them was so careless at work,

and they fell down the hill.

Yes.

Nobody dares to kill people causally?

Yes, right. As true as fate.

-No lies at all. -No lies at all.

Fine. I see.

Because the Wen Clan...

Because they are not people in your eyes.

So

nobody here dares to kill people causally.

Is that what you mean?

Or do you really think

I can't tell that you're lying?

The Jiang Clan of Yunmeng and the Jin Clan of Lanling

have a good relationship.

Young Master Wei, you can't...

You are very courageous.

Are you threatening me?

-No. -No.

-Have mercy, Young Master Wei. -Have mercy, Young Master Wei.

Since you don't admit it,

I'll let him point it out himself.

-Young Master Wei, have mercy. -Young Master Wei, have mercy.

-Young Master Wei, have mercy. -Young Master Wei, have mercy.

Young Master Wei, have mercy.

-Young Master Wei, have mercy. -Young Master Wei, have mercy.

Young Master Wen Ning.

Ning!

Don't!

How could it be?

Wen Ning is not under control.

No!

Wen Ning!

No.

Wei Wuxian.

Stop it now.

Ning didn't die.

Only his spiritual cognition was taken.

Wen Ning!

Wen Qionglin!

What happened?

Someone came to their rescue.

He resurrected the dead to kill people!

Lady Wen.

Who are you?

-What did you do to our office manager? -Nothing.

Who are the cultivators under Wen Ning?

Cut the crap.

Stand up.

What's going on?

Everyone gets a horse.

Hurry up.

Young Master Wei, this--

There's no time to explain.

Mount a horse and go!

-Go. -Let's go.

Go.

Lan Zhan,

are you here to stop me?

Wei Ying,

where are you going?

I have no idea.

But the world is wide.

There must be a place for us.

You need to think again.

If you go,

it will be considered a rebellion against orthodoxy

with no way back.

Rebellion against orthodoxy?

What kind of orthodoxy is that?

Lan Zhan,

do you still remember

the promise we have made together?
