Meng Yao.

Are you okay, Meng Yao?

From now on,

I can't take care of you, Young Master.

Young Master, you need to work hard.

Do not make Clan Leader angry anymore.

What?

Clan Leader has ordered me to leave the Unclean Realm at once.

Why?

Clan Leader Nie has made up his mind.

Farewell.

Mingjue,

Meng Yao said you drove him out.

What on earth is going on here?

-Mingjue-- -Sit down.

Where are your manners?

Clan Leader Nie,

Young Master Meng is injured.

I wonder what mistake he has committed.

I am afraid that if he is driven away like this...

Do not mention it again.

Young Master Jiang and Young Master Wei,

what is your next move?

Now the situation in Cloud Recesses bodes ill rather than well,

and Lan Zhan is on his way back to Cloud Recesses.

I am afraid that he may encounter danger, too.

Wei Wuxian,

nowadays, the Wen Clan sends people in charge of indoctrination.

Wen Xu has gone to Cloud Recesses.

And it is unknown who has gone to Lotus Pier.

Right.

So let's go back to Lotus Pier quickly.

Yes.

Now the Wen Clan has sent out its thugs.

You two need to go back to Lotus Pier as soon as possible.

As for Xichen,

the best thing I can wish for him is his safety.

Wait for me.

-Young Master Jiang is back. -Young Master.

Young Master is back.

Young Master.

-Young Master Jiang is back. -Young Master.

-Hello, Young Masters. -Hello, Young Masters.

-Hi, Young Master Jiang. -Hi, Young Master Jiang.

Young Master Jiang.

Young Master.

Hi, Young Master Jiang, Young Master Wei.

Come and see.

Young Master Jiang and Wei are back.

Long time no see, Young Master Jiang and Wei.

Right, sir.

How goes your business lately?

It's good.

By the way, sir.

Has anything strange happened in Yunmeng recently?

There is nothing strange

other than some unfamiliar faces.

It is said that some smaller clans around here

want to go to the clan leader for shelter.

I don't know the details.

Stay. Don't go.

Come here. I've got fresh lotus seedpods.

Take a bag of it with you.

Thank you, sir.

Remember to have a cup of tea with me.

YUNMENG DOCK

-Young Master. -Young Master is back.

-I've missed you so much. -Did you bring something delicious for us?

The young masters are back.

I will go to tell the lady.

SWORD'S HALL

My lady.

My lady.

What is it?

You are in such a rush.

The young masters are back.

Xian and Cheng are back?

SWORD'S HALL

Tell me, since we went out without permission,

will Father punish us?

I think chances are we will be punched by him.

It's all your fault.

What were you running around for?

I wouldn't go out to search for you otherwise.

My mistake.

Later, I will bear the punishment for you.

Come on.

I have been with you since I was a child.

Since when do I not get punched for having a brother like you?

I don't know what sin I committed in another life.

Thank you very much.

Don't be angry.

In the afterlife, let's still be brothers, okay?

Shut up.

Clan Leader Jiang.

It's me who broke the rules and went out without permission.

Jiang Cheng went out to find me.

Please punish me, Clan Leader Jiang.

Father, I am not filial for making you worried.

Cheng, Xian.

Are you hurt?

Did you encounter any dangers on the journey?

Father...

Clan Leader Jiang, it is our fault for making you concerned.

Father, we were not going out for fun this time.

Instead, we were with Lan Wangji...

Xian, Cheng.

-Yanli. -Yanli.

Did you miss me, Yanli?

Yanli, ignore him.

Yanli, how are you these days?

You must have been missing me.

You have lost weight because of it.

Shame on you.

Enough.

Stop chatting.

Let's eat first.

Sure.

Come and sit.

Where is Mother?

Your mother is a little tired.

Let's eat first.

Who says I am tired?

YU ZIYUAN JIANG CLAN OF YUNMENG

Mother.

Since you're here, sit down and eat with us.

The children are hungry.

I told them to eat first.

All of you, sit down.

It is not the right time to be hungry.

After a few days, when they are in Qishan,

whether they can eat or not remains unknown.

They better go hungry for a while now to get used to it.

No matter what will happen in the future,

it is necessary to eat every day.

Mother,

are we really going to accept indoctrination in person?

Ask your father.

Here is the thing.

Presumably, you have heard about it in Qinghe.

The Wen Clan of Qishan has also sent a special envoy to Yunmeng,

urging all the clans

to send their young family members to Qishan for seven days.

They will offer indoctrination in person.

Cheng, Xian,

I was going to explain it to you.

You two should prepare for it and set off.

They will offer indoctrination in person?

Is that what the Wen Clan said?

Such shame on them.

Mind your language and enjoy your meal.

Thank you, Yanli.

How can you be so calm?

Why are you so anxious?

Anxious?

How can you be so calm and unconcerned?

The letter said that if we ever dare to disobey their order

and refuse to give them our clan heirs,

we will be accused of

treason against the gentry and harm to all the clans.

Then we will be wiped out.

How arrogant!

What do they mean by "clan heirs"?

So either Cheng or Li has to be at their mercy.

Why should we send them away?

Indoctrination?

Since when is it Wen Clan's turn to step in

when we indoctrinate our own children?

It is obvious that we're sending our own children to be hostages.

Mother, do not be angry.

I'll go, that's it.

Of course, you're going.

How could it be your sister?

Look at her

peeling the lotus seeds with pleasure.

Stop it, Li.

Who are you peeling the lotus seeds for?

You are the master, not a myrmidon of someone else.

My lady.

What?

Did I say anything wrong?

Myrmidon.

Are you not willing to hear that?

Jiang Fengmian, I ask you are you going to send him this time?

It's up to him.

He can go if he wants to.

I'll go.

How nice!

He can go if he wants to.

He can stay if he doesn't.

Why doesn't Jiang Cheng have a choice?

Is this how you raise someone else's son?

Clan Leader Jiang, you are such a kind person.

My lady,

I believe you are tired and it is time you rest.

-Mother-- -Don't you ever call me!

You want to tell me to shut up like your father?

You idiot!

I tell you, in your entire life,

you are nothing compared to that guy sitting beside you,

no matter your cultivation or night hunts.

Yet you're the first one to seek out your own doom.

But it's not your fault, your mother is no match for his mother.

It is what it is.

But I just can't take it when it comes to you.

How many times have I told you?

Do not mess with him.

How could you say a good word for him?

How can I have a son like you?

Fine. Let's eat.

Wen Zhuliu.

Lan Zhan.

You are always arrogant,

yet you still end up in my hands.

What about this?

You kneel down

and hand in the Yin Iron shard,

and I will not kill you.

You know what?

What's most disgusting is your patronizing tone.

Who the hell do you think you are?

You are merely a tiny ant on the foot of Qishan Mountain.

Wen Zhuliu, beat him!

Shit.

No doubt it is the Devil Scatter Spell created by Wei Wuxian.

It's just paper tigers.

Should we keep chasing him?

No.

Let him go.

My brother has arrived in Cloud Recesses.

It is better make him see the ruins Cloud Recesses has become.

How long will a tiny ant maintain its arrogance?

Kill!

WEN XU WEN CLAN OF QISHAN

Kill!

ELEGANCE ROOM

Come here!

Besiege Cloud Recesses!

Don't let even a fly sneak in.

-Clean the house! -Clean the house!

Clan Leader,

Wen Xu has surrounded every entrance of the mountain with his people.

He says he will set fire and burn the mountain to the ground.

Grand Master.

The Wen Clan of Qishan

is surely vicious and sinister.

Grand Master,

there is fire poison in Wen Xu's Red Fire Talisman.

Do not be angry.

Where is Wangji?

Have you contacted him?

You have to contact him.

Tell him to leave as soon as possible.

Tell him to never come back.

If he hides outside,

there's a chance that we can keep...

Grand Master.

Clan Leader.

Something bad has happened.

-Outside! -Lan Clan juniors,

face danger fearlessly.

Do you still remember what I have taught you before?

Zewu Jun,

the Wen Clan has gone around the mountain and broke the wards.

They set fire everywhere.

The fire is nearly expanding to the houses where the inner disciples live.

Grand Master.

Now the situation is clear.

The Lan Clan may face a devastating disaster.

With all due respect,

I beg you to take the ancient books in Library Pavilion

and leave Cloud Recesses.

Clan Leader!

If I leave,

what about you?

What about the rest of you?

We will retreat to Cold Pond Cave.

Without the headband, they cannot get in.

Grand Master.

It is urgent.

Please look at the situation.

No matter what, we have to save the foundation of the Lan Clan.

Xichen.

Please do not say another word.

You go

and I'll stay.

Grand Master--

If you still consider me your uncle,

go now.

Grand Master,

I am the master of the Lan Clan.

I swear I will never leave Cloud Recesses.

It is because you are the master that you should be the one to leave.

Only if the ancient books aren't destroyed

and the master doesn't die

will the Lan Clan of Gusu survive.

Grand Master.

Pass my orders.

All the inner disciples

bring the outside disciples to Cold Pond Cave.

Father.

It's you two.

What?

What is it? It's so late.

Clan Leader Jiang,

the reason the Wen Clan is so rampant now

might have something to do with us.

It is a long story.

I am afraid that it started

from the day when we took lectures from the Lan Clan.

On the way back from Qinghe,

I kept sending messages to Lan Zhan but I never got his response.

Nowadays, the Wen Clan has become increasingly rampant

and has revealed their malicious intent.

They tend to do bad things without fear.

They steal things forcefully.

I am worried that Cloud Recesses...

Actually, I have long been aware of what you just said.

You have known it for a long time?

Was it when we were taking lectures?

Clan Leader Lan was rightfully worried about it.

We just did not expect

that the Wen Clan would do evil so brazenly.

When you were in Qinghe,

Clan Leader Lan sent another letter.

It said that

the Lan Clan has become a thorn in the Wen Clan's side for the Yin Iron.

Wen Xu has gone to Gusu.

It may not simply be just to give order and indoctrination.

What about us?

Will the Wen Clan attack us?

Although Wen Clan is strong now,

Clan Leader Lan said

that refining the Yin Iron is extremely complicated.

The Yin Iron will control people when refined carelessly.

Therefore, before Wen Ruohan gets stronger,

they will not send people to siege and suppress various factions

in case of a counterattack.

The Lan Clan is deeply involved with the Yin Iron,

they cannot keep a low profile any longer.

Cheng, Xian.

Delay always brings danger.

You set off together in three days.

But...

I know I am making it hard for you.

Clan Leader Jiang, I understand.

The situation is bigger than the people now.

When we arrive at Qishan,

we will definitely take care of ourselves.

As for Wen Chao,

at most, he'll give us two punches when he's pissed off.

But he won't dare to kill us.

To attempt the impossible,

do nothing until you achieve something.

How many people are out there?

All the disciples were scattered by the Wen Clan.

I can't contact them.

There should be dozens outside.

Master, let's get in quickly.

I will wait here.

Master.

Lan Qiren.

Master Lan.

Kill them!

Clan Leader, go.

Kill!

-Kill! -Kill!

Everyone, keep up.

How do we get in?

I am an outside disciple.

I don't know.

Listen, Lan Wangji!

Hand over the Yin Iron shard

or I will kill all the disciples in Cloud Recesses.

I will ask again.

How do we get in?

Answer!

The headband!

All the inner disciples are equipped with headbands.

The cloud on it is the Lan Clan's symbol.

Only the inner disciples who can make a mudra can get in.

Su She, you are such a coward.

How can a traitor like you be in the Lan Clan?

It's so hard to find an informant.

Go. Keep talking.

Where is Lan Xichen?

He has escaped with the ancient books.

Wangji.

Grand Master.

It is here that

Master Lan Yi told me

to keep our conscience clear.

Thank you very much.

I will surely give you a handsome reward.

Lan Wangji,

you finally came out.

Let them go.

Leave Cloud Recesses.

Where is the Yin Iron shard?

Leave Cloud Recesses.

I will go to Qishan.

Okay.

Set him free.

By the way,

aren't you very powerful?

Hey,

break one of his legs.

-Go, Young Master! -Go, Young Master!

He can't shoot that.

Of course, he can.

Where is the kite?

Go, Young Master!

-Go! -Go!

He's great!

So is he.

Go, Young Master!

Go!

-Go, Young Master! -Go, Young Master!

It was so close.

So close.

Right.

It has gone so far.

Can you shoot it?

Guess.

Go, Young Master!

-Go, Young Master! -Go, Young Master!

Go, Young Master!

-Young Master Wei, go! -Young Master Wei, go!

Go, Wei Ying!

Good! Sure enough, Young Master Wei is the best!

-Good shot! -Good shot!

Sure enough, Young Master Wei is the best!

Even if you are in Qishan, the Wen Clan has nothing on you.

Teach them a lesson.

Let them know that the Jiang Clan is not weak.

Shooting under their sun won't be as easy as today.

It is nothing but attempting the impossible.

-Your Excellency. -Your Excellency, have mercy on me.

I am guilty.

I will never do it again.

Your Excellency, show me mercy.

Your Excellency, have mercy.

I will never do it again.

Show me mercy, Your Excellency.

I will never do it again.

I am guilty.

I will never do it again.

Your Excellency, have mercy.

Your Excellency, have mercy.

I am guilty.

I will never do it again.

Have mercy.

Have mercy.

I will never do it again.

Your Excellency, have mercy.

Your Excellency, have mercy. I shall never do it again.

Have mercy, Your Excellency.

Have mercy, Your Excellency.

Your Excellency, have mercy.

I am guilty.

Have mercy, Your Excellency.

I will never do it again.

I am guilty.

Your Excellency, show me mercy.

Have mercy, Your Excellency.

Kill.

Your Excellency, have mercy.

Your Excellency, have mercy. I am guilty.

What do you think of my puppets?

Are you scared?

It is said that

you let go of Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian.

I failed to do my mission.

This is my last warning to you.

If that happens again,

Wen Ning will be the one to come here.

It will not happen again.

Clan Leader Wen brought me up and I am grateful.

As long as Clan Leader Wen has an order,

I dare not disobey.

As long as you understand.

I am testing the Yin Iron.

Come and help me.

Yes.

Take it.

Take them all.

This

and this,

and this.

Yanli.

That's enough.

It'll take more than two years for us to eat them all.

Li, enough.

The children from the Jiang Clan of Yunmeng

are not so delicate

that they cannot face the storm outside.

Clan Leader Jiang, do you have something to give us?

What should be given has been given.

Hold your sword beside you and keep your creed in your heart.

Attempt the impossible, right?

That doesn't mean making mischief when you know the result.

Mark my words.

Do nothing until you achieve something.

Well, it is late.

Set off, please.

Young Master Jin.

Wei Wuxian.

Jiang Cheng.

Jiang Cheng,

where are the people from the Lan Clan of Gusu?

What do you think?

Is there something wrong?

It might be good that Lan Wangji isn't here.

Don't forget he has the Yin Iron shard.

Chances are Wen Chao failed to find him and he is hiding himself.

But I feel there's something wrong here.

Take care of yourself first, okay?

Second Young Master Wen is here.

Second Young Master Wen is here.

Everyone, form a queue.

Look at yourselves.

You all look like sleepy mangy dogs.

Why the hell don't you bring him over?

Lan Zhan.

Lan Zhan.

Wei Wuxian, don't cause any trouble.

As long as he is fine,

you'll get a chance to ask him about everything.

That thing might be sent into Cold Pond Cave.

I know.

Lan Zhan.

Lan Zhan.

Silence. No talking.

Since you are all here in Qishan,

you shall follow Qishan's rules.

First and foremost,

during the indoctrination,

no one is allowed to carry weapons personally

in case of disturbing His Excellency.

Now let us start.

Hand in your swords one by one.
