Who is it?

Oh, it's you, Yan Qing

Yes, it's me

How do you know that my place is ...

Of course, Ms Li Shishi, the infamous courtesan

Your place is often frequented by the emperor

Please don't say that

You almost got into trouble last time you were here

Why are you ...

How did you get in?

It isn't a very tall wall

Couldn't stop me

I have a favor to ask

Not yet ...

Since you're here, I want something from you

If you answer it, I'll help you

What is it that I could be of service for?

Anything at all, just name it

It's not what you think

It's just that I hear you've got tattoos

I'd like to take a look

That ...

You're no stranger to the brothels

Yan Qing the prodigy

Don't tell me you're shy

Am selben Tag...!

The Emperor's here

Kaiser Shen-shang!

Your Majesty

Please arise

Leave us

We're in a brothel, not in the palace

There's no need for the formality

Please have a seat, your majesty

Shishi, come sit beside me

Please have a drink

Why don't you play some music?

Aren't you bored with my music?

I've got a surprise for you

A surprise?

Sure ...Who is he?

He plays the pi pa very well

My brother. He's been travelling all over

And has just returned today

Ask your brother to come outside

My brother's a criminal on the road

He is afraid to greet you

I'll award him with a pardon

If you could write an imperial pardon

Sure

Thank you, your majesty

Please

What is your brother's name?

Yan Qing

There, it's done

Please come out here and thank the emperor

Your majesty

Looks like you've got talents

and you aren't just a common criminal

You say that you've committed a crime

Yet the music you played is so melancholy

May I ask the nature of your crime?

I've already written your pardon, please tell me

I'm one of the generals of the Liang Shan troops

Liang Shan troops?

Your majesty, our motto is...

Loyalty and righteousness

We have no intention to rebel against you

We don't harm the civilians

''Corrupt officials & governors; they're the true enemy''

We just hope to help our country under an amnesty

Our country is in turmoil, Fang La is rebelling

His power is growing in Jiangnan province

He has occupied 8 states & 25 counties

I've been informed that...

there are 108 heroes of Liang Shan

They're all talented

Maybe they'd subjugate Fang La before the pardon

If me and my brothers could be pardoned for...

going against Fang, we're willing to die for the country

Well said. You're one good man

Xiaoer

Xiaoer

Xiaowu, go and inform everyone

about what's going on here

''Remember; iron gate is linked to the wooden fences''

We have to open the iron gate first

Then the boats won't be able to enter

Hurry, Go

Hu San-niang and Lin Chung, the Leaders of Liang Shan

..and Wu Sung, the most deserving General

Fang La has many soldiers

Hangzhou City is surrounded by water

Easy for defense and difficult to invade

Our strategy didn't work

We lost several good brothers

I'm a strong swimmer

I'm ready to take on any orders

We'll need you for sure, Zhang Shun

Ruan brothers were strong swimmers too

They died there !

''The moat there is solid; situation is unclear''

We have to plan again

Our troops retreated, you've got to have a plan

The gates will be opened later

I'd rather send someone in the city to spy

Then we can work from inside and outside

I volunteer

Mr. Lu, amongst our 108 men

I think Yan Qing is the best man for the job

He's smart and fluent in many dialects

He's my first pick

Will you take this job, Yan Qing?

We'll be pardoned after we kill the rebel Fang La

I personally promised the emperor beforehand

I am willing to go ahead

Will you go with him, Shi Jin?

Of course

This is a risky expedition

Be very careful

This is a good opportunity

I spent all I had trying to learn various skills

Shi Xiu the 'Rash'

Brother Shi Xiu

I'll go. Shi Bao killed my sworn brother Yang Xiong

I'm going to get even

Sir, I'm here

I want to go too

You're not allowed to go, Li Kui

There's no need to yell

You know

Didn't ya hear Hangzhou is surrounded by water?

You're a good fighter, but a poor swimmer

Remember that time when you were in Jiangzhou?

You almost got drowned, didn't you?

I beat you when we were on shore

But you almost got drowned in the water

Brother Zhang,

How did that happen?

That year, Brother Song Jiang was in Jiangzhou

One day he said he wanted to eat fresh fish

What's going on?

He's crazy, he's beating everyone up

Go ...

Hurry and get me a big fish

You let the fish go !

I don't care, I want a big one

Zhang Shun's here

Who's making a scene?

I am

Black Whirlwind

Li Kui

If not for Song Jiang and Yuechen...

I'd have killed you

And then what happened?

Black Whirlwind

Stay put or you're a chicken

You ...

Come up here

Enough, Brother Li, Brother Zhang

We need both of you to help out

Let's go

''Can't do with a few; too many would spoil the game''

Zhang Qing and his wife Sun will be there too

Seven in the expedition to Hangzhou first

You will be the scouts

Okay

Your majesty

Go...

Hurry

Go...

Please help ...

His Majesty isn't here yet, please let me through

My sick child needs a doctor urgently

I've waited for a long time

Please, officers ...

You have a problem with this arrangement?

But my child is very sick !

This is urgent

Fine, go ahead

Thank you

Don't, it's a trap

Let me go

Assassin

What? You've got a sick child back at home too?

Go on, hurry

This way

Come on

Hurry

Go ...

The Emperor is here

Move over

The Emperor's here

The Emperor has arrived

General Shi

Someone was creating a scene earlier

Calls himself The Black Whirlwind of Liang Shan

Has he been caught?

He fled into the alley

You've got ourselves in trouble

Well, I won't take this nonsense

What did the commander tell you before?

What have you done this time?

There are soldiers everywhere

All looking for Black whirlwind !

The news got out that quick?

Stop nagging

If I get angry, I'll take my axe and...

kill my way through Fang La's palace

Brother Li

Relax.

You'll have the chance to use your axe

I wonder if the others have heard anything ...

close to the palace !

The Emperor is returning to palace

Your majesty

The Liang Shan outlaws are closing in on us

They are less than 200 miles from the city

We heard that...

Wu Song is in command

Who the heck does Wu Song think he is?

They will all die here in Hangzhou

Fang La returns to his palace early today

Our troops must be near

If they're arriving...

we wouldn't be able to assist them in time

According to what we've observed

Fang La's best army is in the city

We are no match

Since we got here...

We haven't done much

I think we'll have to take action

Let's discuss with Brother Yan Qing later

You are responsible for security

How many are there together?

You're my aides in this rebellion

I'm the emperor and you're my generals

The Liang Shan troops are getting closer

Chaos at the front line is understandable

But why does it have to happen in the city?

Emperor, I'll search every single household

I'll find them all

There's no need

That's not their main goal

You are saying ...

They are in the city to be spies

We should close the gates

And step up security around the palace

General Shi and General Si will patrol the city

We have to defend the moat first

We don't need to worry about the outlaws

That's true

Order all the ten gates to be shut

No one is to be let by without an Imperial order

Yes

There are ten gates in Hangzhou

''Four of them are by the lake; they are..''

Qiantangmen, Yongjinmen

Qingbomen, Qianhumen

All of their boats are hidden...

behind Qingbomen

Without boats, they presume we won't attack

Yongjinmen has water gates

If we can pass the water gates and open the door

Then our navy could attack them through those

Then the army can go from the coastline

They'll be caught off their guard

All we'll have to do is to inform our commander

So that the troops can get ready

As for the job of opening up the water gates...

Let me go

Fine, let us go back to the inn first

All the gates are out of bound

They must be getting closer

How do we contact our troops?

The commander must be waiting for our news

The gates are shut

We've got to send someone to sneak out

Let's wait until dawn, I've got a plan

What plan?

Staying inside all day is so boring !

Shi Xiu is lucky

He has had a fight before

I don't understand why we...

had to wait until the morning

All the gates are closed, security must be tight at night

It would be more difficult

We could use your help tomorrow, Brother Li

Would it be okay with you alone at the gate?

This is going to be exciting!

Please, we can't just sacrifice Brother Li

We don't have enough men

As long as I can get out of the city

You stand by for assistance

Get out of there as soon as possible

Just in case, it gets worse for him

I ...

That's right.Oh, forget it

I swear, I'll leave when I'm told

This is important

This ain't something amusing, okay!

I know

Go back

Where are you going?

Can't we go out of the city during the day?

Are you challenging me?

You are rebels, and you're accusing me?

Kill ...

Black Whirlwind Li Kui is here

He's the Black Whirlwind

Go

Hurry...

Ask Li to retreat

Brother Li, retreat

Brother Li

What are you doing?

These are only small potatoes

If you won't leave, we'll leave you

Fine

Brother Li is incredible

You guys go ahead

I'll stay behind with Brother Li

Shi Xiu

You are my good brother

Go

Bastard

At least someone looks more senior

Who are you?

So you are the Black Whirlwind

Don't you know me? I am General Shi Bao

He is Shi Bao

Brother Shi Xiu

Run, Brother Li. Damn you

This is the Black Whirlwind?

Hold on

What is it, general?

He's got company, let me follow him

Wait for me at the gate, watch my signals

Alright

Who is this?

General Li Tianrun

Excellent timing

Pick up your colleague-General Bao's body

And you are?

Liang Shan hero Shi Xiu the Rash

Today I took Shi Bao's life

I have avenged my sworn brother Yang Xiong

Where's Shi Xiu?

Still engaged in a fight

He asked me to leave first

Do you think he'll survive?

Let's go first

Alright, you use the diversion

Are you going to inform your troops?

I'm just a nobody

I don't understand what you mean

You're somebody

Everyone has heard of Yan Qing the Prodigy

You met the Sung Emperor at famous courtesan...

''Li Shishi's brothel; you asked for a pardon''

on behalf of the 108 men of Liang Shan

And you call yourself a nobody?!

You've done your research

I hear you're quite good at wrestling

You're into that too?

I'm known as the first wrestler in Jiangnan

So you are one of the four major generals

General Si Xingfang

You may be the top wrestler in Jiangnan

But I'm the top everywhere

What do you want?

I'll beat you

Then I'll chop your head off for display

Wait. If you lose...

You can still kill me coz you've got plenty of men

The top wrestler of Jiangnan...

is no match for the top wrestler of the country

Come on...

If you take one step further

Your general will be dead !

I'm borrowing your horse

Horse ...

Brother Yan Qing is here

Brother Yan Qing

What happened? We've had no news about you

Brother Wu Song, it was tough to get out

Has the commander devised a strategy?

The commander is worried

I'll take you to him

Great

Brother Yan Qing is here

Commander

Yan Qing is here

What is the crown prince doing here?

The Liang Shan culprits stayed here?

Yes

There were 2 others besides the Black Whirlwind

One of them is Shi Jin, the Nine Tattooed Dragons

But I'm not sure about the third one

Three against three

Let's catch them alive

So that the whole of Hangzhou will realise...

that we aren't incompetent

And their morale will take a blow

I can't wait for the world to praise us

This is exactly what I had in mind

That's why I am here

We'll succeed when the crown prince goes into action

We better be careful and keep low profile

Where's Zhang Qing and his wife Sun the witch?

I'll go and check

Be careful, Shi Jin

You recognize me?

Are you taking a tour in disguise, crown prince?

Well, no one's at a loss

Let go of everyone

We'll have a duel

What are you talking about, Brother Zhang?

Take Fang Tianding

Shi Jin, you ...

What are we doing here?

Have you forgotten?

Let's go

Come on, Shi Jin, I'll stay with you.

It's all because of you

No ...

No ...

No way

Go

Come along, you are the generals

You want to drink some more?

Leave him, let's go home first

Please come again, sir

If he insists on drinking

This would be a good place

You go inside and I'll take a look around

Sure

Inform the officials that Liang Shan culprits are here

A huge reward for those leading the soldiers

Go on...

You're hiding the Liang Shan outlaws

I didn't know who they were...

Shi Jin, you're not going anywhere

And neither is your crown prince

For the life of Shi Jin...

to trade the crown prince and a general

I think I'm quite honored

You heard me... I'm Shi Jin

Brother Shi Jin?

He died courageously

He killed Li Tianrun

We've already lost two brothers...

from amongst the seven of us

Fang Tianding

Give up your life for my brothers Shi Jin and Shi Xiu

Of course you're nothing as compared to them

Yan Qing sneaked out of town, he must have...

contacted his troops and he'll be back

He's unaware of the situation here

If he goes back to the inn

He'll have all their information

If we capture Yan Qing, the emperor will be thrilled

Step up the security around the inn

All our men around here...

will be in civilian disguise

So that Yan Qing will walk into the trap

Yes

We ain't sure how Yan Qing will enter

So we can't warn him

I'll keep watch around the inn

And I'll send out a signal when I spot him

Great, we'll meet up with you later

If we can hang him in front of the palace

the whole town will be shocked !

Fang La's army is lax before the battle

Good

First write the note and then untie him

Take him out while he's still drunk

We'll treat you to a drink

Officer, this one has a serious stomachache

I don't care

Please give me a horse

This man's dying

Could anyone help?

It's the crown prince ...

What is the situation?

The street is full of Fang La's men

Reckon they're waiting for Yan Qing to fall in the trap

What should we do?

Yan Qing would never have imagined this !

But we don't know which way he's coming from

Let's cover different grounds

Brother Zhang, please accompany Black Whirlwind

The commander has a brilliant plan

Let the enemy think we're approaching the north gate

but in fact we're going to invade Yongjinmen

Brother Zhang will go there at noon

We will win when he opens the water gate

Also, the commander said that...

When our troops invade Yongjinmen

Fang La will flee through the north gate

I'm gonna be waiting for him there

Let me get the credit

We will invade at noon

If the water gate is not opened by then

the troops being at a height we're likely to lose

This is crucial

Be careful

It's time, Brother Wu

You lead the brothers to distract the garrison troops

I have to enter the city

I heard that the crown prince Fang Tianding

was left at the flag pole outside his father's palace

by the Liang Shan heroes

And he's got with him a note written by them

telling the whole town not to worry

Last night, half of Fang La's army ran away

He forced some civilians to guard the gates

Brother Yan

Go

Move

You're back, sir?

Your friends have been waiting for you

Is that so?

Please ask them to come out

Yan Qing, where are you going?

Hurry, Yan Qing has arrived at the inn

Lay me down, put me beside him

Don't worry, I'm here

Brother Zhang, let's go

What's to be done about Black Whirlwind?

Brother Zhang

The situation is tough. It's all up to you now

We have to let Brother Li take care of it

C'mon, let's go

Go

Black Whirlwind is here

Who's looking for a fight?

After him

Wait a moment

What do you have to say?

Heard that you're a good wrestler

That I am. Have only lost to Brother Yan Qing

Yan Qing is my defeated opponent, you know!

What rubbish !

You want a wrestle?

Bring it on

For a duel with you I'm willing to risk my life

C'mon, huddle up. Don't let him go

Go ...

Bravo

Kill ...

Let's go back to the palace

Invading Yongjinmen was a good plan

The guards there...

drove the boats inside the city

They didn't expect our troops would invade there

Once our troops have taken over

Fang La's army will surrender

But they do have guards posted there

Brother Zhang, you ...

''I'm known as ''''White Streak in the Waves''''''

If I die in the waters, my name will live forever

Our army led by Song Jiang

is ready for action now

Brother Zhang, you may leave

Sure

I will wait for you at the palace

Don't let Fang La escape

It's time

Brothers, let's make a move

This time, we can have our revenge

If Brother Zhang Shun ...

The security is low at Yongjinmen

Brother Zhang is a strong swimmer

He should be alright. Don't worry

Who is in the waters?

No way

Maybe it's the fish

Spears

Xiaowu

Brother ...

Brother Zhang

Brother Zhang sacrificed

Let's kill the enemy, brothers

The Liang Shan troops have invaded Yongjinmen

They've entered the city

Why don't our troops respond?

There're countless Liang Shan troops...

who are already in the city

You better leave soon

How did they do it?

It's Zhang Shun

He opened the gate for them

Your Majesty, we're running out of time !

Which way?

We're surrounded by them

I think the north gate is clear

We can take that path

Get the army to escort

We're losing, your majesty !

There're only a few of us left to escort you out

Hurry. The emperor is here. Go to fight

Hurry...

Look what happened to the losers

Nobody cares anymore

I've been respectfully awaiting you for long

Hurry and leave

Go

I'm Yan Qing of Liang Shan

Where has Fang La gone?

He went uphill

Your majesty, don't stay long

You're loyal

You can be my generals

You're too slow, your majesty

Your Majesty, don't worry

Yan Qing is badly injured

Yan Qing

Fang La, I should be proud of myself

I've just lost one arm to kill you

I've cut off your arm, and yet you're boasting

Brother Yan Qing

Brother Wu Song

They are both dead !

Even though he's already dead, I won't run away

Mission accomplished, but we've lost many brothers !
