(Episode 15)

- What do you think? - Looks good enough.

Hey. How did you find out?

Phone number? Date of birth?

No. There was a number of an old ship...

on your brother's document.

I think the ship was scrapped years ago,

but that was the password.

(Shipping Certificate)

Did you know about the ship?

What?

It's my old man's fishing boat.

So what's in it?

Bank account details, a list of investors,

and some transaction records. Things like that.

But the thing is,

there are many secretly taken pictures in the photo folder.

- "Secretly taken pictures"? - Gosh.

Nothing erotic.

(Photos)

Photos like this.

Stop!

What is it? Do you know them?

Why...

Why is she here?

I didn't think we'd meet again.

I heard you found a photo of Ms. Jung on the flash drive.

Who is the man in the photo?

I don't know.

Ask Mr. Seo. He must know who that man is.

"I actually had a backup of Tae Hyeon's flash drive,"

"and I figured out the password before you did." Like that?

Great idea.

Tae Woo, is there anything that you actually know?

You helped her so much, but you know nothing about her.

What is she thinking? And who is she, really?

Is there anything that you know?

Tae Hyeon put his life on the line to take those photos,

and she's in one of the photos. So why...

Just quit if you're going to do a clumsy job.

(CEO Baek Seung Jae)

I'll leave the country.

You're moving abroad?

With your husband?

Before I leave, I need to take care of some money...

so that no one can trace it. I have to launder it somehow.

I have to say, I underestimated your husband.

I thought his business would go bust because of the frozen king crab.

It's not his money.

And I'm leaving alone.

I have to take care of it by the end of next week.

You won't answer even if I ask you where it's from.

We charge more for money from an unknown source.

You can take five percent. It's not negotiable.

The decision is yours.

You've changed quite a bit since the last time I saw you.

I wonder what changed you.

Gosh. Stay still.

Darn it.

Don't grimace.

I came up with this game because I'm sick of losing.

Quintuple points for the eyes and the mouth.

Darn it. As for the nose...

- It'll be 10 times more. - This won't tell you anything.

Two of my guys died,

and the 10 million dollars is gone.

Coincidentally, it all happened after you returned to Korea.

You said the money belongs to the guy in Spain.

Why would I touch something so dangerous?

I severed all contact with him a long time ago.

Mr. Seo.

Is your buddy here lying or what? Can we believe him?

I'll look into it and find out, sir.

I'll contact you when I get the information.

I see that you still surround yourself with people like them.

I'm worried that even I might be put in danger.

You can't back out once you start discussing a deal.

You reached out to someone you had hoped to never see again,

which means you're cornered in a dead end.

I accept the commission you offered.

On one condition though.

Where are you staying at the moment?

Are you and your husband divorced?

Just tell me what the condition is.

There are many empty rooms here.

You should hear me out.

You said you have to take care of it by next week.

I'm standing on the edge of a cliff now.

I only have two options, fly or fall.

So don't you dare try to mess with me.

The snowstorm

We're checking the living conditions of seniors who live alone,

so there's no need to be nervous.

You can relax and answer my questions.

I call out your name at the top of my lungs

Well...

- I search for you - Your name is...

Ms. Jang Geum Ja, right?

Where are you, Geum Ja?

- And you're 72 this year. - I'm lost

And wandering

You probably don't have any income. How do you support yourself?

What about you? How do you make ends meet?

I can tell from your face that you've been struggling financially.

The person who's staying with you is your relative?

Yes. Are you sure you're from the borough office?

People tell me that I don't look like a civil servant.

Then...

what's the name of the borough chief?

You must know your boss' name.

Mr. Kim Gi Yeong.

You know that he got reelected last year, right?

I don't know, you scumbag!

How would I know who your boss is? Goodness gracious.

Where are you going, Geum Ja?

Are you lost?

(Lockers)

Hello.

- Is this the locker? - Yes.

(Lockers)

(Lockers)

Wait a second. Right there.

Can you fast-forward it?

(Lockers)

Stop.

Do you know him?

No.

He knew the exact password.

Here's the security footage you asked for.

(Yoo Mi Ra)

(Yoo Mi Ra, Freelance Photographer)

Yes, ma'am.

Yu Ri?

No matter how stubborn she was,

you should've sent her to the academy.

I'll go now.

Tell her to stop crying, since I'm on my way now.

Okay.

Stop right there!

You punk!

If you make me go there and grab you,

you're dead. Come over here.

Come here, you punk.

Listen carefully, you jerk.

Do you still keep in touch with the DJ lately?

Where is the DJ?

You're really not going to tell me?

I'm going to stay here until you do.

Just give me a name.

If you know who he works for, that'll be even better.

You used to be so obedient to Mad Bull.

- You've changed a lot. - When a typhoon is approaching,

it's wise not to set sail.

Who is that typhoon?

Do you think Leon doesn't know?

- Leon? - You probably...

don't even know what Leon looks like.

This is such an unfavorable fight for you.

This is a song request I received yesterday.

(Funeral March for Kang Tae Woo, in remembrance of 3 years ago)

He's watching you at this moment.

He knows you're prying into his business,

and that you'd come to me with this picture...

Cut the nonsense and tell me.

Who is he?

A few years ago, I saw him with Leon.

That means he is a very important figure.

If you try to investigate a man like this,

you won't be able to live for long.

I heard your brother died too.

Has Leon...

returned?

Aren't you curious...

about three years ago?

The reason why Leon...

let you live.

Watch him for 24 hours.

If he doesn't find the money by this week,

kill Kang Tae Woo.

Yes, sir. What about Mr. Seo?

If he's not helpful, we should get rid of him too.

Did you come into my room?

Why would I go in there?

Someone came from the borough office,

and he was looking here and there.

[VIU Ver] KBS2 E15 '9.9 Billion Woman' "Seo Yeon & Seung Jae's Deal" -♥ Ruo Xi ♥-

That small island has banks all over the place.

The regulations aren't complicated,

so it'll be easy to launder money.

What if I say no?

You won't get your money laundered.

Can you get it done by next week?

- Are you sure? - Next week?

Three days will be enough.

Three days?

I'll change the money to cryptocurrency first...

and get rid of its source.

I'll divide the money and invest in a few paper companies.

And when it comes back,

that money will be transformed into legal profits.

You'll be able to withdraw it from anywhere abroad.

Will you accept...

my condition or not?

Why me?

Because you've never disappointed me.

I need time to prepare.

Of course.

You can really...

get it done in three days, right?

You left like you'd never see me again,

but you eventually came back.

Then trust me.

In three days, you'll be in a country of your choice.

Instead of business class, do you have first-class seats?

There is one on a flight leaving in three days,

but the airfare is quite expensive.

I'll change to the first-class seat.

From head to toe,

as graceful and fancy as you can look.

My dad...

was arrested from a conglomerate scandal,

and about a week had passed.

I went to school,

there was a rotten milk carton in my desk.

The girls who used to treat me like a princess hid it there.

When I tried to take out a book,

I took out the milk carton that was open.

I degenerated from a princess into a lower class.

And it happened overnight.

I was so upset I couldn't even cry.

But then Seo Yeon came and started to mop the floor.

(Jung Seo Yeon)

Hey. Don't take pity on me.

I yelled at her not to take pity on me.

I said don't take pity on me.

I have never talked to her before. She was invisible.

Then guess what she said.

I'm on duty this week. Could you lift your feet?

She was the only person who didn't pity or despise me...

when I was miserable.

I would have crumbled if it weren't for her apathetic care.

I owe Seo Yeon for her friendship.

Since that day, I was born again.

My heart has turned...

into stone behind a beautiful mask.

How is it now?

Is your friendship still the same?

I have more things to protect now.

And there are more people now who try to take my things.

I have to begin a big fight soon.

But Seo Yeon is in the way.

I thought we disinfected the place not long ago.

The disinfection standards are tighter now.

We hate this too. Put on a mask. It doesn't smell good.

- Be quick. - Okay.

(CEO Kim Do Hak)

Bring a cup of coffee.

Put one on the audio. Put one there too.

(Seized)

(9.9 million)

(Between midnight and morning, van accident)

(The owner of the internet cafe, ex-cop, aggressive)

(Un Am Foundation's Director, having an affair with Jung Seo Yeon)

(Kim Do Hak)

The locker was empty,

so I thought it was Seo Yeon's prank, but it wasn't.

He took the whole 2.8 million dollars.

That scumbag.

So?

Well...

You're good with computers and you're nifty.

Let's find this punk together.

After getting my money back,

let's take back other money too.

You know,

we both have been soaked in the rain.

So let's believe...

that the ground is harder now.

- And... - You have been soaked in the rain?

Was it a shower or drizzle? Soaked in what?

- Pardon? - You're one of those...

that were born into a rich family and have lived easy lives.

You already have more than enough,

and look at you being frantic about having more.

Come on. What's wrong, Mr. Hong?

To you, it's for greed. But to me, it's for survival.

If this fails, you can just go back to your wife...

and continue your comfortable life,

but I will be done for.

That money is nothing.

Getting the money back is not the only matter.

I need to take all the money from her...

and make sure she has nowhere else to escape,

so she will come back to me.

This is...

also...

my struggle to live.

I'm sick and tired of being a husband and a son-in-law!

I'm sick of my titles.

You should be grateful...

to have the titles, Mr. Lee.

I'll pay the bill.

So you said it's almost hacked now?

Yes, I think it's almost done.

Let me see.

(Information about Seo Min Kyu, for the police)

(Seo Min Kyu's transaction history)

(Files about Kim Do Hak)

We barely managed to get this a few hours ago.

It took us some time to break the code.

This picture doesn't do me justice.

Who took this picture...

The director of our finance team...

was digging up dirt about me and the CEO.

He was also tracking that guy, Leon too.

For his brother.

But he died.

Together with the driver.

Did you kill him?

I thought it might have been you.

You planted the driver too.

Goodness. You're suspecting the wrong person.

The stamp on my passport hasn't even dried yet.

Who is she? I saw this woman here too.

She's a friendly customer.

His name is Baek Seung Jae.

This picture is from three years ago.

It's a picture from a company called Mammoth Financial's webpage.

He was the CEO of the company.

Right. He seems to have laundered money too.

But it doesn't add up.

What do you mean?

This picture was taken a month ago.

She didn't have money then.

So why would she have met a money launderer?

I'll do a little more research. Then I can find where he is now.

Drop everything.

- Gosh. - What's the matter?

"What's the matter?"

Kim Do Hak's boys made a mess at the liquor store.

While you're wasting time, I'm losing my job.

Fine. Just give me some more time.

It will be over soon.

Do you want it to be over?

Then just say it was that woman that stole the money.

That will save both you and me.

- Mr. Oh. - All the people in that picture...

have power, money, and connections.

Do you want to go through the same?

Do you want me to see your corpse?

Power, money, and connections.

I don't fear those things at all.

What I fear is...

to hear Tae Hyeon say,

"Tae Woo,"

"why did you not do anything?"

I'm scared to hear him...

nagging me like that.

There's one last thing I want to ask you.

I'm busy around noon. I'm free later in the afternoon.

Where should we meet?

Everyone has their big break.

To those who laughed at my face and looked down on me,

I'm going to show...

that I'm Lee Jae Hun.

Happy birthday, Dad.

I made the cake with Mom.

(Happy birthday, honey. I will always love you. Hee Ju.)

Yu Ri...

wanted to make it together.

For your birthday.

What's precious to you is within this family.

It's not outside.

You have completely changed.

(Episode 16 will air shortly.)

(Episode 16)

Be careful. Take it slow.

Be careful.

- Goodness. - Come on.

Since when has the public service become so sly?

When you're done with your business, I'll take you to the yard.

Even if you have difficulty walking,

you need to get some sunlight once a day.

All right.

I'm okay now, so let go. Put your freaking hand off.

- Be careful. - Goodness.

What are you doing? Close the door already, you brat.

Do you want to come in too?

Money is...

horribly stinky.

If you keep it in one place for long, it attracts flies.

The man who came and jabbered to me today...

will come back anytime.

Darn it!

Darn it.

Ma'am! Are you all right?

Ma'am.

I'm sorry I don't have the money you're looking for.

Listen, fly.

Before I call the police,

you'd better get lost.

- How have you been? - Good.

Really?

How are things lately?

An uninvited guest.

You don't have to worry.

It looks exactly the same as a real invitation.

First, take pictures of the license plates of their cars.

Then, go inside casually and strike up a conversation...

and confirm their faces.

That's it. As many women as possible.

You'll lure wealthy women with the smell of money?

With something like a private equity fund?

As long as I obtain their profiles, it's a walk in the park.

When they have a chance to make money,

but they fail due to a lack of information.

That's what makes them go mad.

That's the weakness of rich people.

I can't do it. They're not the type I can mix with.

Money will take care of that.

Your current style won't work though.

Why don't you do it yourself?

It's an exhibition for women only.

Just one hour.

Just pretend to be a part of the upper class.

What if those women find out?

You'll...

do just fine.

I need to tell you the risk I'm taking.

If I get caught for criminal offense while laundering your money,

I'll go to prison too.

- Hello, ma'am. - Hello.

You can't take pictures within this gallery.

Didn't you receive the notice?

I pressed the camera button by mistake.

My apologies.

By the way, who did you receive an invitation from?

I've never seen you before.

Chairwoman Yoon Hee Ju of Un Am Foundation.

She's a friend.

Oh, my, Ms. Yoon. Welcome.

- Hello. - How have you been?

- Good. - It's nice to meet you.

- She's here now. - You look so beautiful.

- Welcome. - It's been a long time.

- It's great to see you. - Thank you.

- How have you been? - It's been a while.

- It's nice to see you. - Hello.

It's been a long time, ma'am.

Welcome.

Wait, excuse me.

Where are you going?

Ma'am, can you come over here?

She says she's your friend, and that she received an invitation.

Did she get her clothes from a mannequin? They're all brand new.

I've seen women like her. They have mythomania.

They come to VIP gatherings...

and make money by taking pictures secretly.

We should call the police then.

You came early.

Did you take a look around?

Oh, so she is your friend.

I should've told you earlier, but it slipped my mind.

You look good today.

Much prettier than a mannequin.

Do you have mythomania too?

I've never heard you say something like that.

[VIU Ver] KBS2 E16 '9.9 Billion Woman' "Seo Yeon Gets in Trouble" -♥ Ruo Xi ♥-

You better not say you came to see me...

or you're running another errand for your relative's grandma.

I won't take any more of that nonsense.

I was curious.

What wealthy people did with their time...

when I worked part-time cleaning.

Is this a nice picture though?

I really have no idea.

It's just a playground for rich, dumb women.

Why did you come here?

I took extra care to look fancy.

Do I look funny?

Do you think you can mix here with your designer clothes?

The vibe you let off is just different.

Those types of women...

can recognize those different from them in a second.

I understand what you mean.

The poor...

should just live as the poor for the rest of their lives.

I'm just saying it out of concern.

You told me before...

that some kids just aren't talented enough to play music.

No matter how much they practice and play,

they can never receive a chance.

I'm going to grasp my chance.

It doesn't matter if I can't play.

I'll improvise as I go along.

What if you fail?

I don't want to see you suffer.

I hate seeing you being looked down by people like them.

I'm leaving in a few days.

If I leave this time, I don't know when I'll come back.

I may never return.

Where?

With whom?

It's a secret.

Instead,

I'll tell you something else.

To tell you the truth,

since a long time ago,

I was jealous of you.

You had everything that I didn't have.

You were always fancy and radiant.

It annoyed me, and I envied you.

I tried so hard to hide these pathetic feelings from you.

But I really wanted to tell you...

before I left.

Seo Yeon.

Go now.

Go now and get on that plane.

- Hee Ju. - The woman...

who died from the accident.

She's the mother of the trustee, isn't she?

You didn't send me...

the family relation certificates, so I looked into it.

Call...

the police.

What?

Your conscience...

should come before friendship.

If it's too hard for you,

it's okay to call the police.

Seo Yeon.

There are many things I can't explain.

But...

- that accident... - Don't make excuses.

You don't have to.

Whatever happened that day,

or whatever you did,

I'm not curious at all.

Just leave.

Go and live happily as you can.

Promise me you'll do that for my sake at least.

Can you promise me?

Are you Ms. Jang Geum Ja's guardian?

- No. - It's not good...

for elders to suddenly get in touch with cold air.

I've prescribed an antiarrhythmic,

so let's see how she is after a few days...

I said I'm not her guardian.

Grab onto it tightly.

- Are you okay? - Yes.

- I'm sorry. - No problem.

- Thank you. - No problem.

Thank you.

Let's go.

Watch out.

Just leave.

Go and live happily as you can.

3pm, at the shopping mall square.

I'll see you there.

(Ms. Jung Seo Yeon)

Tae Woo.

Get him!

Stop!

- Get them! - Stop!

Look at that.

Stop!

Go after them!

Stay here.

Those men...

Where is he?

What the...

Where did he go?

- Kang Tae Woo. - Mad Bull...

is at a farm.

Sir.

They sent a picture.

Let me see it.

Isn't she the woman who was with Baek Seung Jae?

Yes.

Who is this woman?

I don't know.

I'll chop off...

1 finger per 1 question. Including your toes,

you have 20 chances left.

Hey.

Do you know him? He knew the exact password.

You should've just walked by. Why did you call my name?

They even saw your face. What will you do now?

You said there was something you wanted to ask me.

If not now,

I thought I wouldn't be able to see you.

You don't have to worry about me.

I bought a flight ticket already, and I'm leaving soon.

Where are you going?

Is that...

what you wanted to ask?

I'm going to Tahiti.

It's the place Paul Gauguin lived and painted.

I want to go there.

Yes.

Where are you?

There's something I need to take care of.

I sent you the pictures of the exhibition.

There's a problem.

You have a problem, not me.

What is it?

I will tell you in person. Hurry over.

What's the relationship between you two?

Pardon?

The phone call just now.

It was from Baek Seung Jae, right?

(9.9 Billion Woman)

Tell him I'm coming soon.

Who is the woman?

I need to get my money back now.

Please help me, Hee Ju.

Stop pretending you're a nice husband.

Get back to the place you belong to.

Why do you want to take a hard way when there's an easy way?

Seo Yeon is in danger!

You have no idea how dangerous this is.

Where is Seo Yeon now? Is she at a police station?

Tae Woo, you should stay out of this now.

I started this, so I will end this.

From now on, let's go separate ways.
