and I'd do anything to
keep from hurting him.

Yes. I didn't have
any money to give him.

murdered George Baxter

in order to gain possession
of those diamonds.

We will introduce witnesses

to prove that this murder
was done with premeditation,

deliberation and with
diabolical cunning.

And on the strength
of our evidence,

we will ask for a verdict of first

I was in a row boat,
fishing, right near the pier.

Were you close enough to the pier so
that you could see what happened on it?

Well, I saw a man up on the pier

roll a body off and then
he kicked something after it.

body that he rolled off the pier?

Well, because it had arms and
legs and it looked like a body.

from the water in your presence?

No matter what the light was,

reading a name inside a hat is obviously
much different from seeing a man on a car.
