That's your default now as far as I'm concerned?

>> Steffy: I want to believe in you,

but the things you have done recently don't really inspire

my confidence.

>> Thomas: Okay.

I've made mistakes.

I've admitted that, and I'm trying

to make up for them.

>> Steffy: You are going back to your old playbook.

You are using Douglas to get Hope.

>> Thomas: That's not what I'm doing.

>> Steffy: Really? So Douglas just made this.

>> Thomas: Yes.

>> Steffy: Yeah.

He's just creative all on his own.

>> Thomas: Not exactly.

>> Steffy: Ah.

I rest my case.

>> Thomas: Look, we need Hope back here running the line,

and I'm trying to get her here.

>> Steffy: And Hope is considering this?

She's gonna work with you all day every day?

>> Thomas: Okay, look, unlike Brooke

and apparently you, Hope doesn't seem to have

a problem moving forward.

>> Steffy: Is this really about business,

or do you have something more personal in mind?

this day would come.

I can't stay away from my line indefinitely

and still have it remain viable.

>> Liam: No, it's-- You going back to work

isn't the problem.

I--I've always supported your career.

It's Thomas I object to.

you'd even consider spending that much time

Hope's line needs a visionary back at the helm.

I'm not trying to infringe on your territory.

I'm just suggesting that Hope comes back to work.

Look, I showed her a bunch of my new designs,

and she was impressed.

>> Steffy: So this is strictly a business move on your part.

>> Thomas: Yes.

>> Steffy: Frankly, given your track record,

I find that hard to believe.

your concern, but Thomas actually does have

a point.

I'm the face of Hope For the Future,

and, even though we have many talented people

at Forrester, they don't understand my line

the way I do.

>> Liam: Ah, uh, okay.

I mean, Thomas must have made a hell of a pitch.

>> Hope: Well, it was Thomas and Douglas.

it was too good to be true.

I mean, men like Ridge, they don't get serious

with women like me.

That's reserved for the Brooke Logans

of the world.

>> Quinn: There's always exceptions to that rule.

Look at me.

Who says you can't be one, too?

>> Shauna: Ridge.

He came right out and said it.

Brooke's the love of his life.

You know, and--[ sighs ]-- I mean, it's fine.

I totally understand.

>> Quinn: Shauna, I know you.

I know how invested you are in this relationship with Ridge.

Him going back to Brooke, it's--it's got to hurt.

to me that you're here and wanting to save

our marriage.

I mean, I want that, too.

I want us to be together always.

>> Ridge: Well, we can do that.

We can find a way. It's simple.

>> Brooke: No, it's not that simple for me.

Thomas will always be in my life, no matter what.

There's too many unbreakable connections.

But I can't accept him back into this family,

back into this home.

Not after what he did to Hope.

Dad and I will talk about as CEOs.

>> Thomas: Well, Dad has had me working on these designs

>> Steffy: Preliminary.

Nothing's been decided.

>> Thomas: I certainly hope I haven't been wasting my time.

>> Steffy: Thomas, working keeps you focused,

and your designs might be paired up somewhere else.

>> Thomas: So in other words, stay in my lane.

>> Steffy: There you go.

>> Thomas: Fine.

Sorry for trying to do something good

for Hope For the Future and for the company

and for Hope.

♪♪♪ >> Hope: Thomas asked me

to stop by, and I assumed

it was about Douglas.

>> Liam: Yeah, except it wasn't, was it?

>> Hope: Well, in a way, it was.

Thomas actually surprised me with a mini fashion preview

of sorts, and, Liam, really,

his designs were good, although I would want

to change a few things.

>> Liam: I just-- I don't understand

why you're even considering this in the first place.

I mean, you mentioned Douglas.

What is that? Wh...

>> Hope: Well, he was part of it,

and he made his own Hope For the Future sign

with a logo.

>> Liam: Oh, my God. Oh, my God.

This is what I'm talking about, Hope. How do you know

it's not happening again?

How do you know that Thomas is not using his son

to manipulate you again?

♪♪♪ >> Shauna: No one knows

better than Brooke what an incredible guy Ridge is,

yet she chased him away.

You know, she got right up there on her moral high horse,

uh, passing judgment on Thomas.

I mean, does she not remember all the public mistakes

she's made?

>> Quinn: Uhh.

Don't even get me started.

But, to answer your question, no. Brooke thinks

she's the paragon of perfection.

>> Shauna: How does a woman who should be humble

and grateful for the way her life turned around

become so self-righteous?

I mean, yes, Thomas has made a lot of mistakes,

but she should be praising her husband

for supporting his son, not making him choose

between the two of them.

>> Quinn: Agreed.

>> Shauna: and what happened with Beth was horrible.

But all of the right people ended up in the right place,

so it's time to move on and forgive,

and that's something that Ridge really wants Brooke to do.

>> Quinn: Yeah, but apparently, she's incapable.

>> Shauna: We'll know soon enough.

♪♪♪ >> Ridge: You can't forgive

Thomas, no matter where that leaves us.

>> Brooke: Ridge, I hate feeling this way.

I loved Thomas.

And I have forgiven him for a lot of the things

that he did to my son.

But this has gone too far.

>> Ridge: We're a family.

Family forgives the most outrageous things.

>> Brooke: It's not just about forgiveness.

It's about what is he going to do next.

I feel like it's the calm before the next storm

that's gonna hurt my daughter all over again.

>> Ridge: So you think Thomas is just setting--

plotting to hurt somebody?

>> Brooke: he has proven what he's capable of, Ridge.

And I'm the only one who is sounding those alarms.

You're just sitting back, and you're accepting

everything that he does.

You're supporting him, no matter what, blindly,

and it's wrong.

He needs help.

He is dangerous, and I don't want him

back in this family.

I don't want him anywhere near my daughter.

>> Steffy: After everything

you did, what makes you think Hope would want to see you

every day?

>> Thomas: Well, Hope doesn't want her line to fail,

and I'm the best person to revamp it.

>> Steffy: You know she doesn't like you, right?

She's only playing nice because you're sharing Douglas.

If she had it her way, she would be as far

away from you as possible.

>> Thomas: Yeah, I'm not so sure about that.

>> Liam: You're not seriously gonna let this happen again.

Please say no.

>> Hope: I am very aware how Thomas has used Douglas

in the past, and I know better than anyone

what he is capable of, so that means

that I won't be caught off guard.

Liam, I don't know.

There was something about this time

that was different, maybe because we're sharing

custody now.

>> Liam: The cust-- That--That was his last-ditch

effort to get close to you.

Sharing custody of Douglas ties him to you.

He's still after you.

You know that.

Every move that Thomas makes is a means to that end.

>> Hope: All right, maybe you are right about that,

but even if he were, it wouldn't matter

because I would never be with Thomas,

I mean, not in a million years.

The thought is just even-- it's ridiculous to think about.

>> Liam: Yeah, well, it's ridiculous

that he would assume you'd want to work with him

every day, but here we are.

♪♪♪ >> Shauna: Ridge's first

instinct was to like me.

I mean, when I lived here before with Flo,

he was so kind and so respectful to me.

>> Quinn: Mm-hmm. I remember.

>> Shauna: And it wasn't until the Beth secret blew up.

Then I became part of the gaggle of the liars and conspirators,

and the one shouting the loudest

was Brooke.

>> Quinn: Like she's never done anything wrong.

>> Shauna: Mm. But he still showed so much compassion

to Flo. I mean, he is the reason why she got out of jail,

and that's when I knew what an extraordinary man he is.

And then came the famous night at Bikini bar.

>> Quinn: I like to call it the infamous night.

>> Shauna: Okay, whatever.

And then Flo, when she gave her, you know,

kidney to Katie, that's when he really

softened up, which led us

to where we are now, or were.

>> Quinn: You guys were really going somewhere.

>> Shauna: Yeah, until Ridge decided he wanted

to give it one last effort to save his marriage.

>> Quinn: I'm so sorry.

>> Shauna: I admire him for that. I do.

What baffles me is Brooke.

I mean being so stubborn, to sabotage your marriage

to a man like that?

I have had my fair share of guys,

as you know.

>> Quinn: Yes.

>> Shauna: And believe me when I say they do not make them

like Ridge Forrester.

He is truly one of a kind.

>> Ridge: I--I realize that you're wary of Thomas.

But Hope is not in danger.

Thomas is getting better all the time. Look,

he signed away half his rights to his son,

which I still don't know what that means.

>> Brooke: Exactly.

Who does that?

>> Ridge: What are you--What?

I thought you wanted Douglas with Hope.

Isn't that what you said?

>> Brooke: Yes. I do.

But I'm still wary of Thomas and him being a part

of the equation, especially after

all of his manipulations.

He did keep Beth from Hope, and he manipulated Hope

into marriage.

>> Ridge: I know. I know.

I'm aware of all of that.

And it was wrong.

And Thomas is aware of that, too, but now please,

we got to move past that, put this family back together,

and it starts with forgiveness.

Why c-- I know your heart

better than anybody.

And I know there's forgiveness in there.

I've seen it.

So why can't you share just a little bit with Thomas?

Don't let this tear us apart.

>> Brooke: I'm not tearing this apart, Ridge.

Thomas is.

>> Ridge: I-- >> Brooke: It's true. He is.

He hates me.

He doesn't want me with you.

He wants me out of the Forrester family,

out of the company, and he's getting what he wants.

Whether you want to see this or not,

he is manipulating again.

And this time, it's us.

I love you.

I don't want a divorce.

I want to be with you forever, Ridge.

But if that means forgiving Thomas...

>> Steffy: If you're pinning

your future on Hope, you're deluding yourself,

Thomas. She doesn't want you.

>> Thomas: Maybe not.

Or maybe just not now.

>> Steffy: In other words, you still love her.

>> Thomas: I'll always love her.

Do I want a future of Hope, Douglas, and me?

Yes.

Do I think that there's a chance, a possibility?

I don't know. Okay?

But if there is, I'm not getting it

through lies and manipulation.

Okay? If there's a chance, I'm willing to work for it

by being the best man I can possibly be.

>> Hope: I know how you feel about me spending time

with Thomas, and I'm not happy about it,

either.

But I'm going to have to because now, Liam,

in the eyes of the law, I share a son with Thomas.

>> Liam: Okay, but-- but that's my point.

Don't you see how neatly this whole custody thing

fits the narrative he's been pushing?

I mean, he gets to be close to you,

he gets to be the good guy, right? He gets to be

the loving, doting father to the son you both co-parent.

>> Hope: I want Thomas to be a good father,

but if he is not, being close will allow me

to see the warning signs before anything bad happens.

>> Liam: Okay. Uh, I'm not gonna tell you

what to do.

I can't tell you what to do, but I strongly object

to you working with Thomas again.

I just can't see it ending well.

♪♪♪ >> Quinn: You're so brave.

>> Shauna: Where did that come from?

>> Quinn: You're not afraid to risk your heart,

and I think that's the most courageous way

to live.

>> Shauna: Well, we only live once. I mean,

it doesn't make sense to me to, you know, have my heart

closed off.

Sometimes I'll take it a little too far,

like telling Ridge that I love him.

>> Quinn: Yes, but he did not run for the hills.

>> Shauna: He accepts the way I feel about him.

I could still pinch myself.

I can't believe this is my life, living in this

Beverly Hills mansion, spending time with Ridge,

making out with him, getting close to him.

But, you know, if Brooke can get

out of her own way and forgive Thomas,

that part ends today.

>> Ridge: We've always been able to overcome any obstacle.

I can't lose you.

>> Brooke: Well, then don't.

You ask me to forgive.

I say I can't.

You said you didn't understand.

Well, then that's probably because you're not

looking at this from my point of view.

Or you're not believing the fact that maybe I'm right

about Thomas.

I am your wife, Ridge.

Why can't you trust my instincts?

Why can't you support me, be loyal to me for a change?

>> Ridge: Loyal?

I asked you to help me help my son,

and you took off your wedding band.

Is that loyalty?

>> Brooke: Yes. Oh, God, I did that to make a point,

to show you how serious I was.

Thomas needs psychotherapy.

He needs medication.

He needs the doctors to figure out

what is wrong with him.

He doesn't need to be running around loose,

creating havoc, rolling over anybody

who might get in his way.

Look at Emma, for instance.

>> Ridge: Why are you bringing her up? Don't do that.

>> Brooke: Because he was chasing her

when she crashed her car and died.

Now, I know that you don't blame him

for that.

You don't blame Thomas for anything.

Poor, misguided Thomas.

>> Ridge: He was misguided.

He thought he was acting out of love. You know that.

>> Brooke: His love is sick, and it's twisted.

And it hurts me that you don't see that.

He did wrong by my daughter.

Look, you came here in an effort

to possibly save our marriage.

Okay. Okay, well, I need something from you.

I need you to trust me and to believe me

when I tell you Thomas...

he is obsessed.

He is seriously obsessed with my daughter,

and I don't want him anywhere near her.

Please, Ridge.

You have to do this for me.

You have to be there for me and support me.
