So it can bring it a little bit closer.

if you don't have negative thinking, if
you stop self -sabotaging, do things

My parents' house was only three blocks
away. We were home when the attacks

happened. And my dad kept telling me not
to look and not to watch because of the

jumpers. There were so many jumpers. And
the police came, the firemen came, and

they took us out of our home. And my dad
was like, I'm not leaving.

And I was like, Dad, let's go. And he
just, like, laughed at me. And he was

like, no, the captain never leaves the
ship.

My parents are, like, second generation
Manhattanites.

They are, like, New Yorkers, diehards.
And he stayed.

He's referencing, like, three or four
types of cancer. Wow.

All with 9 -11 connection.

My dad has the same cancer as the
fireman.

and rescue workers had, and it was a
different type of tumor. It was a liquid

tumor. And this was a new type of cancer
they'd never seen before, 9 -11.

Was somebody like a first responder?

I worked for Salvation Army at 9 -11.

It's important with your dad to be aware
of your health since you were a first

responder.

I got a, like, GERD, and I got asthma
from that, you know. So sometimes I'll

worry about it. I mean, I'm in the World
Trade Center Health Registry, and they

give me a checkup, and they, you know,
check what's going on. I mean, right now

I don't have any cancer.

I definitely felt like our dad was there

I was so shocked to know that he was
close by. That was so exciting for me.

He was always happy and nice to me and
loved me.
