It looks like a frisky little
dog running in a straight line

until it disappears
out of frame.

And even more paranormal
footage you have to see...

This is a UFO.

When entering an allegedly
paranormal hot spot,

especially when just
starting out,

perhaps the most important
thing to remember is this--

if you try to make contact
with the dead,

you are implicitly

giving the dead permission

to make contact with you.

That's a voice.

And in the case of one
investigator exploring

a haunted
Wisconsin schoolhouse,

the dead's preferred method
of communication

got a little bit

hairy.

in Glenbeulah, Wisconsin.

Dyllon Maddox and Rae Retzlaff

are inside
the allegedly haunted

Old Glenbeulah Schoolhouse

to conduct
a Spirit Box session.

It's the very first paranormal
investigation that either

Dyllon or Rae has ever been on,

which makes what happens to Rae
during the session

all the more extraordinary.

As Rae listens
to the Spirit Box,

the tip of her hair

rises up by itself

and touches her chin.

How is that possible?

As soon as we got home,
I said, "We need to review that,

because something
happened there."

It looks like something goes
up and just, with two fingers,

grabs your hair and just
- Yeah.

pokes her in the chin with it.

Yeah, it literally,
it separated from the rest of

my hair, curled up,
and then touches my chin.

And as soon as we saw it move,
like, we just started,

like, screaming.

- It was a pretty cool moment.
- We were like-- yeah.

This was crazy.

That would not
happen naturally.

That's not her hair
was caught on something

and kind of relaxed.

No, it lifted up

and went upward.

There doesn't seem to be any
perceivable breeze blowing in

the room, we don't see anything
like a spider web or an insect,

but something is propelling
that lock of hair upward

toward her face.

When your body is
touched or when something on you

is physically moving,
it's harder to process

because how can something
physically manipulate you?

How can something physically
manipulate your hair?

How does that happen?

I mean, it was super shocking.

And I think that's part of,
like, why I was so,

like, mind-blown
when we saw the footage.

And to experience it myself

and be like, that actually
does happen, is amazing.

Amazing, but also perhaps

not so surprising.

Sorry.

Considering where it happened.

The Old Glenbeulah Schoolhouse
in Glenbeulah, Wisconsin,

operated from 1916 to 1995,

before going abandoned
for nearly three decades.

And the school got a real
reputation for being haunted.

People would report hearing
children laughing and giggling

and running up
and down the hallways.

The story goes that in
the early 1900s,

there was a young boy
who was being bullied.

And because
of his mistreatment,

his mother,
who practiced the magical arts,

was said to put a curse,
not only on the school,

but on the entire village.

Terrifying.

Though Dyllon
and Rae's interpretation

is slightly less threatening.

I think it was
the spirit of a child,

just because of how

playful it was
- Yeah.

and maybe being
drawn to just Rae and her hair

and wanted to kinda
say "Hello" in its own way.

You think of the energy
of a school, and you think

of all the different kids
and that energy.

It's a playful energy,
and I think that's what people

have reported here,
that there's been experiences

and encounters and what
some would refer to

as being haunted.

But it seems to be more
of a positive, playful type

of interaction that's happening.

It doesn't seem to be
anything nefarious.

Whatever it was,

and whatever the reason
for interacting,

the effect on Dyllon and Rae
is unequivocal.

The pair can't wait
to investigate again.

I wouldn't say
I was a skeptic.

I always kinda believed
in it.

But this was like that nail
in the coffin of there is other

stuff out there that people
just can't explain.

Science can't explain.

But it also, like,
really motivated us to start

doing this all the time.

So now we go and we do
investigations a lot and we've

gone to a lot more places
and made videos, and it's been

a really great, yeah.

Kind of a hobby
out of nowhere.

stalked by one.

to a remote area of the desert.

A three-hour hike off
a desolate dirt road

to try to find a mysterious
creature that months earlier

in the same spot,
according to Bret,

screamed at him
from a distance.

And soon into his exploration,

his camera

catches something startling.

across the brush.

A figure, dark, hulking,

and possibly

keeping a watchful eye
on Bret,

who has no idea
what he's captured

until he reviews
the footage later.

and this is my video.

I decided I was gonna take
a big loop around the canyon.

It's like a four- to five-mile
loop just to get around

the backside of this canyon.

As I continued, I could start
hearing sticks snapping.

And cats don't do that.

You don't hear that happen
very much.

So I just started filming.
I was just filming the trees.

I was filming everything
that was there.

I didn't realize that I had
filmed something walking

probably 400 yards from me.

Through the trees,
we just catch a fleeting glimpse

of something walking,
but it's enough of a glimpse

to see that it doesn't look
like a person.

It doesn't look like a hiker
walking through the woods.

It's tall and very, very dark.

In areas where perhaps
hunting is a common practice,

you don't wanna be mistaken
for a creature.

You make your presence known.

So something like this,
where this creature was clearly

looking to stay out of the way,
I think lends itself toward

an interpretation
that we might be looking

at some kind of cryptid here.

Which makes what happens
just minutes later

that much more terrifying.

When I first saw
the silhouette...

...the hair on the back
of my neck stood up

And then that's when my heart
rate went through the roof.

And I'm thinking, "OK, this is
what I wanted to film.

What do I do?"

I tried to film as long as
I could, but then it started

swaying back and forth,
which gave me the vibe

that I was too close.

This rather large form

is hiding behind a tree,
and you can see what appears

to be hair looking rather coarse
to me, and it does seem to be

shifting back and forth.

Maybe it's shifting from

the weight on its left
and right feet.

It's rocking in such
a way that it's almost trying

to emulate a tree swaying
back and forth.

And this caught me right away,
because this is reported a lot.

They don't really reveal
themselves completely,

but they seem to try to act
or look like a tree or respond

in some way to stand still.

Maybe that shifting back
and forth is a way of it doing

a sort of a passive threat,
like, "Yeah, I'm here,

"and I know you know
I'm here now.

Go away."

It got to a point where,
once it started to sway, it was

life or death in my mind
what I was gonna do.

And I doubt, honestly, it would
have charged, but I don't know.

So I felt like I've gotta do
something, because I've got

a wife and kids--
I gotta move.

Which is exactly what Bret does

immediately.

I took off.

Not on a run, but I started
walking pretty quick

until I got away from it.

But incredibly, despite
the apparent close call,

Bret feels compelled to return
again someday to hopefully

find out more.

It's like a dang addiction.

You gotta go back.

And it's not that I'm excited
to go back, but I just feel

like I need to.

Though he plans to proceed
with extreme caution,

just in case.

We don't know
what they're capable of.

And if they're meat
eaters, who knows?

The human could be on the menu.

And being that tall
and that big,

you're just easy to snatch.

Losing a beloved pet

is one of the most
difficult things

a person can go through.

But in the aftermath, if you're
looking for signs of comfort...

...the best advice
might be simply

to pay close attention.

Because if your situation is

anything like one family
in Maryland,

the smallest things
could end up

being the most meaningful.

in Baltimore, Maryland.

Having just launched
her own hairline, Aiyanna Terry

is shooting a selfie video

in an effort to promote
her new business.

But when she reviews
her footage,

she sees something
that potentially

ruins the shot.

Did you see that?

As Aiyanna shows off her hair,

a small particle

flies across the screen

before abruptly

changing direction.

But to Aiyanna,
something about it seems

different than just
an ordinary piece of dust.

So Aiyanna
and her mother, Nicole,

review the footage again,

zoomed way,

way in,

and begin to realize

they are seeing something

absolutely

mind-blowing.

I'm Aiyanna.

And I'm Nicole,
and this is our video.

At first, I didn't
think anything of it.

And as I'm looking at it,
I'm like, "Am I seeing stuff?"

So that's when I went to my mom.

I'm like, "Do you see this?"

And then when she's seen it
as well, she's like, "Wait,

Aiyanna, that's Chino."

I zoomed in.
I said, "Wait a minute."

Then we start seeing the tail.

We start seeing the fluff.

I'm like, "Wait a minute."
That's my baby.

Watch one more time,
as indeed, the tiny piece

of fluff bears
a striking resemblance

to a little dog running.

Specifically,

Chino, their Pomeranian,

who passed away
only months earlier.

Oh, my goodness.
It was amazing.

My first thought
at the start of this was like,

"Is it that, like, tiny speck
of dust that's floating
through the air?

Is that what I'm looking
at here in this video clip?"

But then,

oh my goodness, what looks to be
like a speck of dust floating

on a consistent trajectory
through the air makes a sharp,

acute turn.

And then it looks like
a frisky little dog running

in the opposite direction,
sort of in a straight line

until it disappears
out of frame.

And I ended up kind of going,

"Yeah, it looked like a tiny
little ghost Pomeranian."

What's compelling to me is it
doesn't look like a traditional

orb of dust or something
that's just floating, right?

Normally, those go along
in an air current.

They're slowly kinda
moving or meandering,

sometimes quickly going by
if it were sort of an insect

close to the camera.

But this particular one looks
like it comes down at an angle,

and then it does seem as if it
has a life and shape

of its own, like it scurries
across the frame.

And that small detail is
particularly meaningful

to the family, considering
Chino's condition

toward the end of his life.

Chino loved to run, and we had
like a grassy hill,

and he would just run like
he would just love to run.

And it used to hurt our heart.

I'm like, "Come on, Chino."
He's like .

So it was a great feeling.

You could clearly see
his tail and his feet.

And I said, "He's running."

He's able to freely

run without having to stop for
breath or anything like that.

It looked like
the tail was wagging.

It looked like if that was
a puppy, they were very,

very happy.

So when you think about it
that way, it's really beautiful.

But beautiful as it might be,

why so tiny?

When we think of another
world, whether that's

the afterlife or some other
dimension that we exist

alongside, we tend to think
of it as in relative scale

to our own existence.

I do not think it is
a prerequisite of an actual

apparition or manifestation
that it match its size as it

had been in our living world.

If a spirit of a small dog
coming back absolutely

miniaturized but
so recognizably familiar

in its shape and its movement,
if that's the way that that dog

is able to manifest, great!

And while the package
may have been small,

the message it contained

couldn't have been
more impactful.

I feel

grateful that he chose to show
that he's OK,

that he loved us,

you know, and to come share
that moment,

to come back and visit.

A visit that has changed
Aiyanna and Nicole

forever.

I do believe, you know,
once we pass on,

you're still here with us
in spirit.

You know, our loved ones,
our pets are still with us

in spirit.

And they have a way
of showing themselves,

letting us know
that they're OK.

people across the globe

can come together
in huge numbers

to share their ideas,
experiences,

humor, and sometimes

even nightmares.

But be warned,

while it may provide solidarity
and comfort for those trying

to cope with their fear,

there are some

who believe the constant
online chatter can actually

tap into the paranormal

and bring those nightmares

to life.

Just ask one woman
in South Carolina

who was getting ready for bed

when she was visited
by something

that could not possibly

have been from this world.

Oh, my God!

August 16th, 2025,
in Anderson, South Carolina.

It's the evening,
and Naomi Grissom

and her husband
are lying in bed

when they get a notification
that something has set off

the motion detector on
their live security camera

in their living room.

And when they
check out the feed,

they see this.

Oh, my God.

In the reflection of the TV,
a figure.

Tall, dark,

and appearing to stroll
through the living room.

Naomi and her husband
are totally freaked out.

My name is Naomi Grissom
and this is my video.

Oh, my God.

Like, hold on.

Let me look at that again.
Like, maybe that was a glitch.

I'm like, "Wait, no, there's no
glitch that looks like that."

No, it was wearing a hat.

It was actually, like, taller
than the window in my house.

And the ceilings were,
like, 12, 13 feet tall.

So it being taller
than the window,

was at least six-,
seven-foot tall in itself.

Even more confounding,
from what Naomi and her husband

know about their home
and camera setup.

What they are seeing

simply is impossible.

The way that the camera was
angled, it was angled

at my front door, so if someone
were to walk in my house,

I would catch them walking
in my house.

Just like anybody who's walking
through the house, they will be

visible in the reflection,
and they will be visible

in the camera
walking past the TV.

If it was a real person,
you would have seen

them standing there
in the camera's view too.

So then,

if not a real person,
then what exactly

is it?

It's completely featureless.

It's almost as if
we're looking at its back.

It seems to be a tall man

standing there in a black cloak
or robe wearing

some kind of a hat or helmet.

When they get to the edge
of the frame, it looks like

they just sort of dissolve.

I know that we're looking
kind of at a reflection

off of a TV set,

but even a solid, you know,
living, breathing person should

be solid until they kind of
reach the edge where they walk

off the frame, and that's not
the case here.

Looking for answers,

Naomi posts the video online

and is immediately inundated
with comments from people

claiming to
recognize the figure

from their own nightmares--

the Hat Man.

The Hat Man is sort of
a digital folklore phenomenon,

something that people started
reporting and talking about

in a lot of online forums in
sort of the mid-to-late 2000s.

This figure of a man,
ostensibly, in what appears

to be some sort of trench coat
wearing a wide-brimmed hat.

A lot of people started
sharing their experiences with

this character, and it created
a mass hysteria event that now

when people go to sleep,
they're scared of coming across

the shadow figure
of the Hat Man.

And that fear from millions
of users online reading

these stories has now snowballed
into what we call,

in the paranormal field,
an egregore,

this very real energy
in the likeness of their fear.

I started looking into
the lore of the Hat Man,

and it kinda adds up with
what's going on in my life

with the lore of, you know, how
he follows people who are going

through really
hard times mentally.

And having no interest
in something like this adding

to her stress, Naomi does
whatever she can to

protect herself and her family.

I researched some cleansing
prayers, and I just started

shouting them through my house.

I don't know if it helped.

Obviously, the activity's still
here, but in that moment,

it calmed down,

and it got quiet,
and it felt better for me.

Like, I felt instant relief,
and I've got a lot of faith,

so that's mainly what I've been
relying on lately.

Faith and a brand-new
perspective.

I was always a believer,
but to know that there's really

that other realm where
the spirit world is and,

you know, they're walking around
with us, but not with us,

it's fascinating and it's
terrifying and it's beautiful

and it's scary and it's
all of the feelings,

but it's definitely been
life-changing, definitely.

by a shadow figure.

The Congress Plaza Hotel
was built on Michigan Avenue

in Chicago in 1893.

And over the years, thanks
to its numerous documented

deaths, accidents,
and unfortunate incidents,

the magnificent property

developed a worldwide
reputation for being haunted.

And if the footage from one
couple who stayed there

recently is any indication,

that reputation,

even 130 years later,

is extremely well-earned.

March 2021,
in Chicago, Illinois.

Maggie Tweed and Chris Bowton

are exploring
the Congress Plaza Hotel...

...roaming around
on an unoccupied floor.

When Maggie,
with her phone recording,

accidentally filmed
something hair-raising.

Watch closely.

Did you catch it?

Watch again.

Though Maggie doesn't see it
in the moment, at the end

of the hallway,
on the other side

of a door leading
to a stairwell,

a figure, dark and seemingly

aware of Maggie's presence.

- Hi, my name's Maggie.
- And I'm Chris.

And this is our video.

I was, like, in total shock.

It just looks like
a black face.

And then it looks like a tall
man that is looking at us,

and he turns away
and just goes.

The shadow figure, I don't know,

from what I've seen
in other clips,

it's like the black shadow
figure people.

Mm-hmm.

All of a sudden,
we see this head pop up,

but it's not a head with a face.

It's very dark and featureless,
like just a dark, dark shadow.

And it appears to be peering
directly through

the glass at
the woman filming the video.

It seems to follow
that same pattern where you are

capturing a glimpse
of this shadow person.

It doesn't seem to wanna
interact with you, but it seems

to be as curious in you
as you to it, or him or her.

Shadow people show up,
I mean, literally in all

shapes and forms.

I've seen legitimate
photographs of them

just being blobs.

I have seen shadow people
with the naked eye,

and they look more humanoid.

Sometimes they're transparent.

Sometimes it looks like they're,
I mean, thick like a blanket.

Like, there's, you can't see
through them at all.

Sometimes they are stationary.
Sometimes they peek in and out.

I was like, "Oh, my God!"
'Cause I would have probably

left the hotel if
I would have seen it.

I would have tried
to chase after it.

Yeah, he would have--
I would have been done.

But, if Chris had
chased after it,

considering the history
of the hotel,

he may have soon found himself

surrounded by other entities.

The Congress Hotel
opened in 1893 as part of

the World's Columbian Expo
in Chicago, and it is noteworthy

for hosting multiple presidents,
but also a lot of ghosts.

There have been
several documented deaths in

the history, some of them quite
violent and even gruesome.

A little boy died here.

Suicides, several of them have
occurred here.

I know people who have gone
and investigated

the Congress Hotel and even
people who have just stayed

there because they're interested
in the history of it.

And they all had very similar
accounts of saying that that

hotel made them feel darkness.

The hotel has a lot of dramatic
and traumatic history.

So we just wandered the hotel.

And they allow you to do
that there.

And at this particular time,

there weren't many other guests
to get in the way.

It was in March of 2021,
right after the stores started

opening up from
the COVID pandemic.

When we got there,
half the hotel was shut down,

and that floor was actually
one of the ones that was

closed off, so there was nobody
even on that floor.

It's really interesting to me
to think that in that sort of

quiet quarantine period,
spirit presences,

various entities that are
sometimes normally maybe kept

at the margins of spaces,

are ready to take over,
roaming the halls.

This is my hotel now.

And then as people start
to trickle back,

the idea that
encounters might go up

as, you know, the normal order
reasserts itself,

I think that's
really fascinating.

Maybe the spirit wanted to
just come out and kick it.

You know, they were aware that,
like, ain't nobody really

in the hotel.
Now this is my time to shine.

You know what I'm saying?

Maggie and Chris certainly do.

And they also have
a new appreciation

for the other side.

I've always believed.
I've seen things before.

What I think is that it
definitely confirmed that there

is something else out there.

a woman on a cruise ship
spots an object in the sky...

...in the middle of
the Bermuda Triangle.

Individually, perhaps,
dream vacations.

But taken together,

something decidedly

less pleasant--

the three points

of the Bermuda Triangle.

An area where countless ships
and planes have vanished

without a trace,

leaving many to believe
that the region is haunted

by something supernatural.

And if the footage from one
woman passing through it on

a cruise ship is
any indication,

the paranormal presence
in the triangle

remains alive and well.

August 2025,
aboard a cruise ship traveling

from New York City to Bermuda.

It's about 1:30 AM,

and Dana Riendeau is
on the balcony of her cabin

when she spots something
in the sky

that blows her mind.

A multicolored ball of light

hovering, pulsating,

and irresistible to Dana

watching below.

This is a UFO.

Hi, my name is Dana,
and this is my video.

The only way I can describe it
is it was like a disco ball,

and it was shiny, and it had
all these sparkly,

like, silvery-white lights.

And it looked larger
than a star, because there were

other stars, like,
faintly next to this?

It's one thing to see lights.

It's one thing to see something
moving on the horizon.

But when you see something
like this flashing

and different-colored lights
and just something dynamic,

what could be causing that?

It's kind of like there's like
this moray of light around it,

kind of this rainbow effect
or other times almost kind of

a plasma look
or ring around it.

It's almost as if it has kind
of a force field in a sense.

Maybe it's a form
of protection.

Maybe it's kind of the energy
that's emitting from this

with whatever technology
it uses

for propulsion
and to traverse, right?

We don't see that
with man-made objects.

A fact that sticks with Dana
and sends her mind racing.

I watched that thing
and videotaped it for like

an hour, and then
I finally went into bed

and I couldn't sleep 'cause
I was like,

"What if it's still
out there?"

'Cause I really wanted to watch
it to see how it disappeared.

Like, did it just fly off?

Did it go into the ocean?

After like an hour, I actually
went back out, but it was

literally out there in the same
spot an hour later.

It's much too large
to be one of the planets in

our solar system, and they never
appear to be as close

as this thing is.

And they certainly don't

throb and change color
like this either.

Good point.

And then, of course,
there's also

the location.

The Bermuda Triangle
definitely has its share

of UFO, UAP activity.

It's been going on
for what's believed

to be hundreds of years.

And there's a lot
of strange disappearances

of planes and boats.

So it's considered to be one
of these areas where there could

very well be some sort of
a portal or opening to another

realm because people seem
to vanish and never return.

If that's the case,
perhaps Dana

should count herself lucky.

Now, throughout history,
there have been plenty of tales

of sea monsters and sirens,
things that waylay sailors,

that call them to their doom.

Now, could this light described
as a disco ball be

a modern evolution

as bait for whoever
could be seeing it today?

If she had the means to hop
in a boat and go check it out,

would she be now
amongst the missing?

Thankfully, Dana is still
very much with us.

But she does believe that
one day she and all of us

will know more.

I think this experience just
solidified the fact that I do

believe that there's other life
out there.

There has to be.

We're just such
a vast universe.

It's just one more piece
to the puzzle, and maybe we'll

find out someday and they'll
actually come and visit us

for real.
