an investigator
in Tennessee crosses paths...

...with an eerie apparition.

That's considered
the holy grail,

is capturing a full apparition.

A couple on a notoriously
dangerous highway

in California...

...drives by a ghost.

This is the spooky fuel
that I fill my car up with.

Did the owner
of a haunted hotel...

...capture the spirit
of a young boy?

You can see the little boy had
a jacket on, buttons.

It's almost like
he was disfigured.

and even more paranormal
footage you have to see...

...to believe.

When it comes
to haunted locations,

the Jefferson Palace Hotel
in Texas...

ranks amongst the spookiest.

The nearly 175-year-old
building has changed hands

dozens of times and was once

a livery stable,

a family's home, a brothel,

and a speakeasy
during Prohibition.

It's also where at least
30 deaths are said

to have occurred.

With such a long, dark history,

it's no surprise the hotel
is said to be brimming

with paranormal activity.

Just ask the current owner,

who not only runs it,
but also...

lives there with his family,

who the spirits interact
with nearly every day.

June 2023, Jefferson, Texas.

Jeromy Jones and his daughter
Mackenna are sitting in what

they refer to as
a disappointments room.

A small, secret room

in the Jefferson Palace
Hotel's attic

that's believed to have
been used in the 1800s

by a family who,
to avoid shame,

hit a child with a disability
or disfigurement

when guests came over.

And while such a room is
inconceivable today,

Jeromy is parked here

because he thinks the room's
dark history could make it

the source of some paranormal
activity within the building.

And just moments
into his vigil...

My name is, this is Jeromy,
and these are my videos.

As we were in there,
we were hearing noises,

footsteps, the usual thing
we hear here at the hotel.

So I decided to snap
some photos.

It's really dark in that
disappointments room,

so as I was snapping the photos,
I was editing them,

just making them brighter.

One particular photo stood out.

I kind of froze up,
'cause I knew what I saw.

And what he saw was this.

It was a little boy...

pushed back about five feet,
coming out of the hole,

which is the original entrance
to the disappointments room.

You know,
I started getting emotional.

You can see the little boy had
a jacket on, buttons.

The thing that really
stood out to me though

is the facial expression
on the boy.

It's almost like
he was disfigured,

which would make a lot of sense

if it was in, you know,
a disappointments room.

This image is really
impressive, in my opinion.

A lot of times, you look at
these so-called ghost photos,

and you have to squint to try
to figure out what the other

person says they've captured.
But in this case,

this looks like a young person,
likely a little boy

with a cropped collar and this
somewhat mournful expression.

It's unmistakable.

There is a image of what looks
like a perhaps young boy

wearing, it looks like
a pea coat, right?

I don't know how
you can say that is not.

And the face itself
I will point out,

does have some kind
of grotesque features.

The look on the face
of the boy is really

kind of sorrowful.

If, in fact, this is the spirit
of the boy who once inhabited

that-- that bedroom
in the attic,

you can certainly understand
why he would feel that way.

My immediate thought is that

his spirit stayed
within this place.

He was almost held into this
room, not allowed to leave.

So it almost seems he was
a prisoner in real life.

And in the spirit realm,
he's also stuck

in this particular room.

And it seems the boy's spirit

isn't the only one stuck
within the hotel walls.

Another day, Jeromy wakes up
to find some curtains

drawn across
one of the hallways,

but when he checks
the security camera

to see who pulled them
closed...

...no one is there.

And what Jeromy sees when
he looks at the curtains

from another camera angle...

is even creepier.

Probably about eight feet past
where the curtains got pulled,

there was a shadow on the door.

Well, then all of a sudden,
the shadow turns

into a solid figure.

It almost looked like
it was cloaked,

and it was approximately
eight feet tall.

If, in fact, this is what's
known as a shadow figure,

it's certainly doing just what
shadow figures seem to always

be doing in videos, and that
is to kind of peek around, uh,

from around a corner, and then
corner quickly make their exit.

You would probably be not
too far off if we said that is

connected, whatever
the shadow was,

to the movement of the curtains.

So you kind of have a culprit,
you have an action,

and it's captured from at least
two different angles.

When you see something
like that on camera,

you start to wonder,

am I being watched all the time?

Are there spirits everywhere
and I just can't see them,

but they can see me and
they're playing tricks on me?

If they are...
Jeromy and his family

don't seem to be
too bothered by them.

It seems like almost every day
something happens to where

a normal person would come in
here and be very shocked about,

you know, maybe something
flying off the wall or hearing

a disembodied voice
in the next room or a door

opening and closing.

Whereas, you know, that's--
that's our daily lives,

and so it doesn't really
shock us that much anymore.

Which is good,
because let's face it,

they did purchase
a haunted hotel.

Coming up, a couple
driving in California...

...has a close call
with a ghost.

Because of its sharp curves,

narrow lanes,

roaming wildlife,
and hilly terrain,

California's Highway 17
is known as one of the most

dangerous freeways
in the country.

So much so that locals
have dubbed the road...

Killer 17, a nickname earned
not only for the treacherous

driving conditions...

...but also, as one couple
recently discovered,

for the ghosts of those who've
been killed there.

May 2025, outside
of Santa Cruz, California.

Sabrina Valderrama
and CJ Esparza

are traveling back home
from a friend's concert,

when their vehicles
the navigation app

takes them unexpectedly
onto Highway 17.

And while the unfamiliar
stretch of road is a bit

of a challenge for Sabrina,

it seems
straightforward enough.

That is, until this happens.

Watch closely.

Watch again.

As Sabrina and CJ
cruise down 17,

a figure

seemingly standing between
lanes of the highway

and scaring the life...

...out of both Sabrina and CJ.

- Hi, I'm Sabrina.
- I'm CJ.

And this is our video.

When we were driving downhill,
we didn't realize we were, like.

in mountain area, and up high,
and going downhill

because we were unfamiliar
with the road.

We didn't drive it during
the day when we drove up.

So I'm just trying to control
and just focus on coasting,

realizing we're picking
up speed.

And when that thing
appeared, I screamed.

Because I don't scream.
I'm not a screamer.

It scared me half
to death because then

my thought process says,
what was that?

And then, oh, my God,
we almost died,

'cause if I would have hit
that person, it would have,

you know, injured them,
killed them, and then we could

have flew off the road.

But for Sabrina and CJ,
perhaps the most horrifying

part of the experience happens
the following morning

when they check what
their vehicle's side

and back dash cams recorded
at the time of the incident.

Watch and listen very closely.

While the front dash cam
and Sabrina and CJ

pick up a figure,

the back dash cam
and side dash cam...

capture nothing.

On that back window angle,
we didn't realize until later

that there is a street light
shining in that space.

So if he were to just run
towards the cliff wall...

...you would have been
able to see something.

You would have been able to see
if he got stuck in his footing

and he went back or continued
onward down the freeway.

You would have been able
to see it,

but you don't see any of that,
which makes it really weird.

This is the spooky fuel
that I fill my car up with.

I thrive on this kind
of footage.

I love it so much.

It's so weird and creepy
and also freaking unsettling.

It looks like a fairly
contemporarily dressed person.

This isn't like an old-timey

image of a person standing
in the middle of the road.

It looks like it really could
be a living human standing

in the middle of the road,
just narrowly missing,

being seriously
injured or killed

by being hit by this car.

It really has me confused, right?

It's semi-transparent at first,
then it's solid enough that it

casts a shadow, but then
when you look in the rearview

camera, it's gone.

It's not there, sort of there,
and then gone altogether.

So then,
if it just simply vanished,

then what exactly...

was that thing?

The first thought that pops
in my mind is this person may be

there because they were
in a car accident or there was

a fatality in this particular
spot and that's why they seem

to be showing up or revealing
themselves there.

Possibly.

And given the stretch of road
Sabrina and CJ were driving on,

that certainly makes sense.

California State Route 17,
or as it's better known,

Killer 17, is a 27-mile stretch
of road that is known to be

quite treacherous
because of its narrow lanes

and blinds and sharp curves.

History is full
of stories of roadside ghosts,

ghosts who appear
at the site of an accident,

at the site of their own
tragic accident,

at the site of
other accidents as warnings

to forestall future accidents.

This whole concept
is incredibly common,

something that
we see worldwide.

So the fact that this footage
was captured on this particular

road to me says
100% paranormal.

It was in the back of my mind.

I was like, oh man, I've heard
this story so many times about

the ghost crossing the road,
or "I almost hit someone,"

or, you know, "But they weren't
there, you know, mysteriously."

But yeah, it was
in the back of my mind.

I definitely went there.

And having done so, both CJ
and Sabrina learned what

they consider to be some
life-changing lessons.

Growing up in the Bay Area, you
always heard about Highway 17,

always about the watchers
or the ghost stories how,

you know, so many people die
on that-- on that highway.

I learned that all the stories
of Highway 17 are real.

The ghost stories are true.

And if you believe in them,
or if you don't,

you'll probably see something.

And then also to be a cautious
driver and, you know,

pay attention
to your surroundings.

- Absolutely.
- And to invest in a dash cam,

'cause you never know
what you're going to catch.
- Yeah.

If, as many believe,

the paranormal is always around
us in one way or another,

why does it seem so difficult
to see it with one's own eyes?

One reason...

could be that with so much
filling our senses,

we are simply too
distracted to notice...

...what's right in front of us.

Don't believe it?

Uh, here's what
I wanna show you guys.

Just ask one explorer
in Tennessee...

This is
an abandoned farmstead.

They say it's haunted.

...who passed right by
something that his camera

couldn't miss.

November 2017, just outside
of Knoxville, Tennessee.

Look at this.

Out here in the middle
of nothing.

It's about 3 AM,
and Jon Turner is exploring

a 100-year-old farm
for his online followers.

This is an abandoned farmstead
that has been abandoned

for a long time.
They say it's haunted.

Growing up nearby,

Jon has heard macabre stories
about the property,

including someone being
murdered there...

and another person
dying by suicide...

which has led him to believe

that its haunted reputation
is well-earned.

My name is Jon,
and this is my video.

As I got on the property,
it was just a calm stillness.

You know, you kind
of felt the eeriness.

I attributed it to being
an abandoned building sitting

in the woods for many years.

This was actually a thriving
farm at one point.

I felt really at peace there,
but it definitely had

kind of that
eerie vibe of, like,

you didn't feel like
you were alone.

And it turns out
he may not be,

because as he moves to scan
the property with his camera,

watch very closely.

Did you see it?

Watch again...

as Jon's camera picks up
what appears to be

an apparition of a woman
with long dark hair

standing next to a tree,

which Jon doesn't notice
until he posts it online

and one of his eagle-eyed
viewers points it out.

I got a message from someone
saying, "Hey, at this timestamp,

"there's something weird
in the background.

It looks like a woman."

Sure enough, as you slow it
down and freeze it,

there is an apparition
of a woman

standing there watching me, essentially.

When I realized
what I was looking at,

I'm like, it kind of
put chills on me

'cause I didn't even see it.

When you kind of hone
in on that moment

and you freeze on this
apparition of a woman,

it's almost
kind of phantom-esque.

And one thing that really
unnerves me about this

is the way she's kind
of positioned,

the way she's
standing kind of...

in this bent neck
and straight body.

It almost--
is reminiscent of when

somebody, you know,
has hanged themselves.

It's very unnerving.

It's a solid
full-bodied apparition.

It seemed to be glowing in
its own kind of ethereal light,

comparatively speaking,
to, like, the rest of

the things that
he was shooting.

She obviously stood out against
the backdrop of the night woods.

The fact that he didn't see it
until he played it back later,

you would think a white-clad
jet-black-haired figure,

you would see this.

This happens a lot.

We still don't know why
sometimes we don't catch things

with our eyes or our senses,
but our devices do.

A lot more foliage in here
since the last time I was here.

Blown away by the possibility,
he crossed paths with a spirit,

Jon returns to the farmstead
later to see if something else

could have been mistaken
for the apparition.

OK, so we're here
at the tree.

I searched the place
high and low.

I set up exactly the way
I was in the daytime.

You see that tree right here?

I waited until dark and did
the exact same movements I did

to try to recreate this moment.

I explored the area
around the tree

where you see the figure.

So I started here, and I just
kind of panned around.

And could not create or find
anything that would have caused

that apparition to be there.

So if there is no natural
explanation for it,

who or what was out there
with Jon that night?

You know, a lot of these
locations, even though there's

no longer human activity
or anybody living there,

they do have some sort
of energy or memory

from when someone
was living there,

and that apparition
could be a previous owner

or someone associated
with that home.

Whatever the case,

even though Jon
didn't see the ghost

with his own eyes that night,

he believes that what
his camera captured

is tangible proof
of the afterlife.

As someone who is
in the paranormal community,

that's considered
the holy grail,

is capturing a full apparition.

I'm very happy and proud that
I was able to capture that.

It's believed that cryptids

possess the ability
to evade humans

in a variety of ways.

Like Skinwalkers...

...shape-shifting into
animals or people.

Bigfoot...

camouflaging itself to blend
into the environment.

And the Mothman,

flying away at speeds
of up to 100 miles per hour.

But as more and more
cameras cover the Earth,

some recording 24 hours a day,
seven days a week,

that ease of anonymity
could be coming to an end.

And one need look no further
for proof of this...

than what one webcam
captured at the birthplace

of perhaps the biggest
cryptid... of them all.

Donegal, Ireland.

An avid Nessie hunter is
at home on his computer,

watching one of several
live webcam streams

that overlook
Scotland's Loch Ness,

hoping for the off chance he'll
spot the legendary cryptid,

when lo and behold,

something catches his eye.

Watch closely.

Did you see it?

Watch again.

As what appears
to be a large mass...

breaches the surface

before quickly disappearing
back into the abyss.

Thinking it may be a glimpse
of the elusive lake monster,

the viewer reports the sighting
to the tourism board

that maintains the cameras,
which quickly triggers

a close review of the footage
by Ellen Walker,

destination director
of Visit Inverness, Loch Ness.

I'm Ellen, and this is footage
from one of our webcams.

The cameras that we have set up
cover the length of the Loch.

We are very fortunate to have
a team of very dedicated

Nessie hunters who do survey
all our footage and watch

the webcams on a daily basis.

And they are very well-trained
at looking out for very minute

changes in and waves and things
like that to distinguish

between what they consider
to be optical illusions

and real Nessie sightings.

So what I see in the clip is
absolutely a disturbance

in the water,
and there's potential of it

being a large creature
in the water for sure.

Um, and I think it's one
of the most compelling instances

where we've been able
to capture it on footage.

It does really kind of have
the hallmarks of what we would

see in those grainy old
black-and-white images

of Nessie
coming out of the lock--

something black is kind of
emerging from under the water.

We can see it rising up.

And it appears that
this long-neck creature,

if you will, comes out
with a very small head,

prehistoric in nature.

And obviously it's not
a massive piece of driftwood

bursting up and then going
back down.

This was something that
was sentient, aware,

uh, mobile, and intelligent.

It has to be large.

I mean, this is something that
to me seems to be

bigger than a boat.

It's so visible when it does
come out of the water

and go back in that we might
just be seeing a small piece

of the Loch Ness Monster.

Whatever this thing is,
it's certainly much larger than

the usual species of all
the fish and other wildlife

that live in Loch Ness.

But despite its relatively
substantial size,

the dark figure isn't quite
the behemoth one might expect,

especially when compared
to previous sightings,

leading some to believe
it could be...

a juvenile.

It's reasonable that this
wouldn't be the same creature

that's been sighted
throughout the centuries.

Instead, it would have
to reproduce, so...

maybe this is not
Nessie the original,

but maybe Nessie
2.0, 3.0, maybe 6.0?

And if so,
maybe this newer Nessie

will be a little more amenable
to being captured on camera,

considering how many
of these devices

are now continuously streaming
from its home base.

The fact that now we can use
technology to really enable us

to better engage the marvelous
and the fantastical is maybe,

in my obviously biased opinion,
one of the best uses of

this kind of technology
that we have.

We can tune in.

We can go back
and review footage.

We can let
artificial intelligence

tell us motion was detected.

Make sure you look at this
particular time window.

All of that just ups
our chances of being able

to engage with these
incredible legends,

and I think that is
an incredible benefit.

Which, according to Ellen,

is not just the point
of their webcams,

but the Loch Ness Monster
legend itself.

Nessie is more
than just a monster,

and so is this entire area.

I think Nessie is a symbol
of the community of storytellers

that we have
within the Highlands,

and that spirit is
in the water.

And for many people, a trip to
Loch Ness is not as achievable.

And the webcams that are around
Loch Ness, the Nessie Cams,

are one of the services we feel
is necessary to provide

and hopefully enable people
to feel connected to the Loch

in ways that they might
not have been able to.

While being lucky
enough to spot a UFO

may seem like an exciting
moment in one's life,

for some, it can lead
to complications,

like being misunderstood by
peers who may be skeptical.

Especially if the UFO encounter
was much more involved

than just a sighting,

which is why sharing
one's experience...

takes great courage.

Just ask a woman from Wyoming,

who is not only willing to tell
her incredible story,

but has also dedicated
a part of her life

to helping others do the same.

January 17, 2024,
Rock Springs, Wyoming.

Rachel Yedinak is outside

when she spots something
peculiar in the sky,

so she pulls out her phone
and starts to record.

It's a distant, white,
tic-tac shaped object darting

across the sky, and Rachel is
sure that it's not only a UFO,

but it's also...

very aware of her presence.

My name is Rachel
and these are my videos.

I looked up in the sky
and there it was,

and I saw it go behind
that pine tree.

So I walked over there
and I stood in front
of that pine tree,

and anytime I would move right,
it would shoot out

the back sides of the tree left.
Anytime I went left,

it shot out...

to the right side.

And it really felt
playful and intentional.

You can clearly see
this isn't a plane.

This isn't a helicopter.

It seems to be reacting
to the person, the experiencer.

There seems to be some sort
of a connection to them.

A connection that,
according to Rachel,

started over a decade ago

with one extraordinary event.

I stepped out onto my front
porch one evening

to watch the sky

and saw a strange object
coming from the west,

headed east in my direction.

And I questioned,
is that an airplane?

The next thing I know,
I am in a triangle craft.

Repeating the same actions
that I was prior to being inside

of that triangle craft.
And after that happened,

it was a slow progression
with these orbs

and other things that I see.

A slow progression that
has led to hundreds

of encounters like this.

November 2024.

Rachel spots another orb
near her home.

This one,
glowing red and white.

Those are
what I call fireballs,

and that's what they look
like in person.

They look like giant balls
of fire,

um, constantly strobing
with different colors.

Even more remarkable,
is that Rachel claims

these objects show up

whenever she invites them to,

as evidenced by what
happened on this night...

in June 2024,

when another orb appears
to be responding to Rachel

as she flashes a red light
toward the sky.

It's really not uncommon
within the UFO experiencer

or abductee community
for people to believe

that they have
a special relationship

with these
extraterrestrial visitors.

I think of it more
as being a participant

in a relationship,
connection, or partnership.

A partnership that has led
her to become a MUFON

field investigator.

MUFON, or the Mutual
UFO Network, as it's called,

is one of the oldest UFO
or now we call UAP

investigating
organizations around.

You can actually go become
certified as a MUFON

investigator by going through
their training programs,

which are actually quite good.

It's a position that Rachel,
needless to say,

is uniquely qualified for.

It's very hard for me
to keep my eyes off of the sky.

I'm constantly looking.

Every night
I'm out sky watching.

I always feel fascinated
and intrigued,

and I feel seen.

Coming up, church-goers
in the Philippines...

witness a miracle
in the clouds.

One's faith...

can profoundly affect
how they see the world

and influence
how they interpret...

what happens around them...

whether a message from loved
ones who have passed...

...or a sign

from a specific higher power.

And while non-believers

may simply chalk these
things up to wishful thinking,

some events,
like what happened one day

in the Philippines,

are so seemingly obvious,
it's almost impossible to see

it as anything other than...

divine.

June 14th, 2025,
Naga City, the Philippines.

A local church
is holding a youth day

where hundreds of young people
have gathered to pray.

But this special event
becomes much,

much more so as they begin
to file out of the church...

and see this.

A vertical, wispy cloud

that looks remarkably...

like perhaps
the most meaningful figure...

in the Christian faith.

This is a pretty
traditional depiction of Jesus.

We get a sense of legs,
arms outstretched.

We even get a pretty clear
indication that they're wearing

a robe or some sort
of flowing garment.

You don't even really
have to believe

that this is a miraculous
manifestation to think,

"Wow, that's incredibly cool."

I don't know, I was ready
to just say this is pareidolia

and us seeing a recognizable
shape in a random pattern,

but I can't say that.
I see a human-like shape

in those clouds.

And on top of that, it was
spotted over a large community

of worshipers near a basilica.

That's a hell of
a coincidence.

Or, sorry,
a heavenly coincidence.

The way clouds
usually form and appear

because of crosswinds
and whatnot,

it's usually
a horizontal vector.

This was almost as if something
flew up through the cloud,

making this vertical column.

It didn't look like
it was naturally formed.

Was it intelligently formed?
Was it meant as a sign?

Maybe--
and if so, it certainly...

wouldn't be the first time.

Throughout the Old
and New Testament

of the Judeo-Christian Bible,
there are more than 100

references to clouds as
symbols of God's presence.

They occur in Genesis,
Revelations, appearing to Noah,

Moses, and also as a symbol
of the Holy Spirit.

So clouds being connected

to a heavenly appearance
is nothing new.

Whatever it is,
it's not something

that the powers that be
take for granted.

The Catholic Church, in fact,
just updated their policies

on how they determine what
is considered a miracle.

They have what's called
the "Dicastery of the Doctrines
of the Faith."

And there's actually a protocol
now to determine

when something can be put in
the record books as a miracle.

And while it's unknown

what the official stance
is on the sighting,

after video of it is
widely seen,

more than 8,000 people
travel to the basilica

to pray in honor
of the incredible sight.

When you see something
like this actually attracting

all these other people to go
there, people are seeking

that spiritual connection
to the Creator, to God,

and maybe this served
exactly its purpose.

People are looking for hope.

And this is definitely
something that makes people

wanna really have something
that they can look forward to

and be happy about.

And nothing says that
more than, you know,

seeing a sign from the Lord.

What should you do
in the event you witness

something paranormal?

Here are some tips to get it
all on camera.

Check your footage
and then...

check it again.

Trust that what you're seeing

really is otherworldly.
- Yeah, I see you.

Don't stop recording...

Just love being out
in the woods at night.
